She is always afraid of turning things into ice with anything that touches her skin so she normally is wearing mittens or gloves. When her emotions are anything but calm her powers go haywire. She is normally a homebody and doesn't go out much. She has one best friend but besides that she doesn't really talk to anyone. She is a loner, likes to read books, plays video games, and likes to just sit in the snow and meditate from time to time. She is half sweetheart and half savage. She learned from her mother to not let people step on her but she also picks her battles wisely not wanting to freeze people. She wants to believe her powers are a gift but she hasn't figured out why she has them or what her purpose is in life yet.

Super Powers:
She turns everything she touches with her skin to ice. A kiss is rather deadly.
Snow Manipulation: She can create, shape, or manipulate snow.
She can turn water into ice and walk on it.
Ice Teleportation: Can use snow to teleport to other areas with snow, ground only, no flying
Cold Immunity: She does not get cold but she wears full on clothing anyways to hide her skin and from people touching her just in case
She can lower peoples temperatures around her in a room. People are always wearing sweaters around her

Background:
Crystal never met her father but she knows her mother was mortal. Her mother was aware of her fathers powers and even though she was not aware on how to take care of them she did notice that mittens or gloves seemed to help so she made sure Crystal wore them at all times. Not knowing how to use her own powers, she hid them like her mother asked. Through time she has gotten better at controlling her powers and knows a few good tricks but she does her best to hide them often unless absolutely necessary. She has one best friend that is aware of her powers and thought it was super cool and that Crystal should be a superhero. She bugs her about it every so often and besides making a few bullies trip and fall on ice she doesn't NORMALLY listen to her best friend Shelsy who is all sun and rainbows. She has also never REALLY been with someone because every time she gets butterflies in her stomach she tends to freeze something. After almost killing her mother as a teenager for a simple argument that she didn't feel like washing the dishes- she has been really careful of her powers.

Blaze carries himself highly as he was considered one of the greatest generals from his realm ( The Other). His strength drives his ego and attitude, but his recent complete failure how landed him in the Marvel universe which now makes him question his own strength and power even though he hides it behind his mask. Blaze is hot-headed and quick tempered, but even as his driven by his emotion and passion, he always thinks before he leaps. Blaze is quick-witted and it shows in his interactions with others

Super Powers:

Control and manipulation of flames. Able to change their form to anything he sees fit.

Able to transform himself into the very flames he controls and transport himself through those flames

Immunity to fire and heat

Manipulation of the embers in smoke allows him to control the size and mobility of smoke to camouflage himself, escape and blind his targets. ( In extreme cases, can shoot the smoke directly into his enemies suffocating them and burning their insides)

Able to create fire bombs and grenades

Ability is strongest in the day time


Background:

Blaze comes from the Otherworld, a parallel universe to the Marvel universe. In this realm he was one of 4 great generals that led armies to rule the world on behalf of the All-King, a supreme being that took him in as a child and bestowed on him immense power, knowledge and command of part of his army as one of the Feared Four. He grew up with the strength of fire while his brother's and sister's commanded ICE, WIND and EARTH. They all had their own army's at their disposal and all claimed themselves to be the strongest child of the All-King, but no one's army grew as big or reach stretched as far as Blazes. With his army he vanquished his foes and spread rule past areas never known to have existed. His strength grew boundless and whispers began to fill the hall that his army and people were singing praise to him and not to his father. One day, as he was called upon back to see his father, he came across his brother's and sister's led by Selena of the ICE. She had convinced her siblings and father that Blaze's strength had gotten too big. A skirmish began as the family came in to diminish Blaze's flame, but with the help of 3 of his closest captains, he was able to escape, landing in the Marvel universe. Not he's doing whatever is necessary to gather the resources he needs to return to the Otherworld, to save his soldiers and people from his family and reign hell on his so-called family.

“No no Monica no partying you KNOW I’m not about that life.” She listened to her best friend beg her to come with her and she just sighed. “Monica, I love you and all, but you KNOW why I can’t come.” Monica sighed too and understood Crystals circumstances. “Have fun tonight. Call me if anything. I’m headed to the bank to pay my rent today so I don’t have to live in your apartment again.” Monica made a joke and Crystal laughed. “BYE we’ll talk later.” Crystal hung up the phone smiling and shaking her head. She LOVED walking in the snow. The sound of the crunch underneath her shoes, the snow falling on her hair and skin, and being able to see her own breathe when she breathed. She enjoyed the rest of the walk to the bank. There was a good 10 people in front of her line. Luckily, she had good patience. She looked out the window and just watched the snow fall waiting her turn.

When it was finally her turn there was more people behind her than before. She got her check to give to her landlord when- all hell broke loose.

The doors burst inwards as thick plumes smoke start to fill the room. Sparks can be seen spreading wildly around the smoke somehow manipulating it to blind every and leave them all coughing incontrollably. The sparks come together in a tornado of fire and out walks Blaze. He’s just broken into one of the richest vaults in all of New York. Millions were now at his disposal, but it was the contents of a very specific safety deposit that he was after. Rumors spread through the underworld that Tony Stark had hidden away a piece of the time gem in this specific bank. Mesmerized by the thought of the untold potential power he could be wielding, Blaze forgets to secure the area for any... unwanted intrusion. Never the less, he feels unmatched in this weak city. Nothing could stop him.

Crystal ducked and covered her head. She started to cough and automatically she felt her hands getting cold out of fear. -No no no not NOW- she thought about it for a second and wandered -Maybe now would be the perfect time...- she stood up and looked at the tornado of fire in front of her. She looked at where she remembered was a huge window and made a movement to have the ice smash the window inwards. The snow connected to her hair and body making them look pale white. Her iris became white as well as she did what so few times she has allowed herself to do. She let go of the wall around her heart and mind and allowed the ‘gift’ of ice to take over. “Let the people in here go unharmed.” She used the ice to maximize her voice. She put up a hand and stopped the tornado of fire, it was rather annoying to her anyways.

A chill ran down Blaze’s spine. The eternal heat that consistently burned felt chilled to its core the moment his tornado was stopped. He had faced other foes before who’s skill with ice and cold cooled him, but never like this. His nerves felt frozen in place as if her very power reached into muscle fiber of his being. But it’s wasn’t the cold doing this. It was her presence. Never in his years of chaos, flame and smoke had he seen something so refreshing and bright. Instinct told him to blast her and move forward, but something else told him to ask her name.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

His watch goes off! The first alarm has struck.

Blaze had studied the X-men response time and knew that it would take them approximately 15:00 minutes to arrive. The clock had now started. Duty called. Blaze’s eyes turned the brightest red to match the brightness of Crystal’s eyes. blazes conjures up four wolves of flame to keep Crystal busy while he begins to rip open deposit boxes looking for his gem. “ The fate of these people are in your hands now. As long as you remain put with them, no one will see harm, but if any of you makes a move, well, then you’re going to be taking a lot from the press, from the flames your forced me to ignite in here. Don’t know who’s heat i’d be more worried about. Mine or the presses,” Blazed said out loud, laughing at his own joke. 2 people In the crowd sort-of laughed. He made a note to make sure they didn’t die if things get a little hot.

When this fire-red obviously egotistical man looked into her eyes she had a notion like she had known him once upon a dream. She stayed steady though. As the alarms went off she made a quick prayer hoping that he’d just leave, even if there was a slight chance of that happening. When he summoned his dogs of flames she almost scoffed at him thinking -just you wait- but she pretended that it was a big deal to cool down his ego and his reason to focus on her. When he started to open security boxes but leaving the money behind it was obvious he was looking for something specific. She closed her eyes and created a cold mist in the room so that no one can see but she could FEEL everything. The mist entered the security boxes and she noticed that there was one security box that felt different than the others. She quickly summoned her snow creatures to destroy the little teeny fire dogs. She ignored the screams of the people and created a snowy igloo around them since they were all put into a circle to protect them. Then, she went after the security box. She made it so icy it froze to the point that she could smash it open. The mist was starting to disappear from Blake’s fire work so she quickly grabbed the glowing object inside. Suddenly, she felt pain in her hand and with a quick yelp it was like the green stone became ONE with her, entering her. She gasped and her last thought was -what the panda did I just tou- before she fainted.

You failed your mission. You failed your people****

Blaze realized the voice was right. Now the weapon he seeks is within this woman in front of him. He’ll need her to save his people. Blaze sucks in all his flames and proceeds to walk over to her, with a smirk on his face, he says to Crystal, so you’ve beat me to the gem. Congrats! What do you plan to do with your new powers, gem warrior.

He released embers from his eyes that turned to smoke which transported them into his cave. The smoke gently laid her on his bed as he landed beside her with his trademark super villain landing. A reign of fiery hail forming out of nowhere, twisting faster and faster, combining fire and smoke as he appeared out of nowhere on one knee in the adjacent room. “I’ll have to make sure she sees me appear like that when she wakes,” Blaze says out loud, proud of the landing. The heat, fire and smoke return to all of his body but his right knee which seems to be getting cooler and cooler. Blaze looks down to see his landed was right on top of his recently adopted dog’s bowl of water.

“Dammit Sparky! I told you not to move your bowl to the kitchen when you’re hungry! Dogs know better where I come from! Not as cute as the you, but they knew the rules!”

Blaze turns his attention over to this woman he’s never met before. He thinks he may have seen her move. He can’t tell, but proceed to walk over. Hoping that his eyes were playing tricks on him and that she wasn’t awake and witness to what could be the most embarrassing 10 minutes of his villainous career.

“Sparky happens to be the most vicious thing this world has ever seen. If he knows you’re awake, I may not be strong enough to stop him”.

Blaze says all this as he puts down a picture frame showing himself and Sparky, his beagle.

Crystal became conscious and her head was THROBBING. "Ooooowww" She said. She remembered that Monica had called and asked her to go out but she didn't remember going. If I didn't drink, why does my head hurt? She moved one hand to her head and opened her eyes to see stalagmites above her. She quickly stood up straight and looked around a room to see a Beagle running up to her with his tongue sticking out. He obviously wanted to be petted so she smiled and started to pet him. She looked around looking for an escape route and asked him "Where am I buddy? Where is your master?"

Crystal stopped petting 'Sparky' as the person that seemed to have kidnapped her walked in and called him over. It was the same man that had walked in at the bank. She didn't dare look into his eyes in the beginning remembering that they looked very familiar and made her stop for a moment. As she moved her eyes down she noticed a bag of ice in his hands. When he said congrats she seemed confused. She didn't know what he was congratulating her FOR. Then, he mentioned the ice was for a bump on her head. She quickly put her hand on top of her head and felt the bump automatically. She winced and slowly got the ice from him, making sure they did not touch hands and put it on her head.

She let the ice numb her a little and expected him to speak more but he didn't. So she allowed herself to think. Okay. First, I need to find out where I am and it doesn't look like he plans on torturing me or anything. He mainly wanted that green glowy thin- She paused in her own thoughts and looked down, allowing her hair to get in front of her face a little as she realized her shock. Didn't that green thing ENTER me?! What was that thing?! She quickly looked at the hand that the green gem thing had touched her. There was a mark in her mitten as if it had through it and her palm was still slightly red but you couldn't tell there was anything IN her skin. Stupid. Stupid stupid stupid. WHY did you grab that thing? I know you thought 'hey, if HE wants it, it MUST be dangerous or super important so let's interfere' but HELLOOO NOW YOU'RE IN THE MESS CRYSTAL. She sighed at her own thoughts and looked up into his eyes. She paused for a second as she wondered what to ask him first. His eyes seemed to captivate hers and she decided to start off with a small yet simple question to see who she is dealing with and how he may respond.

"Who are you?"

Delighted with her first question, he moved forward, walking in a way that showed years of military training, protocol and drill practices.

“My name is General Blaze Thompson. General to the great Ki-“ A thin tears glaze briefly comes over Blazes eyes as reality set in once more. He was no longer general of anything. His king, his title, the part of his life that he gave his absolute devotion and loyalty was gone in the hands of the people he thought he could trust the most. I’m no general, I’m just a criminal now. Hunted down now in some primitive hell with limited resources to get me home.

Blaze looks on at Crystal. He catches himself and tries at his introduction once more.

“My name is Blaze. I’m a warrior from another world that was thrown unto this one. There are people counting on me to keep them safe from an evil only I can face. That gem you grabbed at the bank gave you the ability to jump back and forth through time. With patience and training you can have powers far beyond your greatest imagination. Powers that can help me save my people. Welcome to my cave. You are no prisoner hear. You can come and go as you please, but I ask that you allow me the chance to convince you to help my cause over dinner. If not for me, then for Sparky. I can’t have him give me a look at dinner like it’s my fault I couldn’t keep a guest over for dinner.”

Blaze felt his a deep sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach. A feeling he’s never sensed before. Wh- what is going on Blaze. All you did was ask for her to stay for dinner. You’ve asked countless people to stay for dinner, entertained a king and his high court in your own home, but this little time waiting for her to respond has to be the most anxious I’ve ever felt in my life. How long until she responds. It feels like it’s been hours since I’ve asked.

Blaze wrestles internally with himself as he interacts with Crystal. Not realizing that her Ice and his fire are about to start a steamy adventure. While he’s a mess inside, his years of military training allow him to look nonchalant even to the most trained eye. Still, Blaze can’t help but feel like she can read him and understand him even as he says so little.

Crystal stopped and listened to Blaze. First, he mentioned being a General and she her inner voice scoffed in her head. Then, he stopped himself. She watched his body language change from confident to something seemed to be wrong- as if his position recently changed. He seemed to still be a warrior though. Other worlds were rather popular nowadays so she didn't particularly freak out but she WAS wondering if he was a good or a bad guy... But then he answered that too, she hoped, by explaining he was working on defeating someone evil.

Then... He brought up what that green gem thing was. A gem that allows me to jump back and forth through TIME?! Okay, back up beep beep beep. As soon as she said it in her head time rewinded for about 5 seconds as he repeated his name, changed his stance, and continued to explain. Her mouth was tempted to gape open but she didn't dare move. Instead, she continued to listen as much as she possibly could. She seemed to have missed a sentence or two and continued to hear him from 'welcome to my cave.' Did he just invite me over for dinner? I mean, at least he SAYS I'm no captive. She was tempted to just walk away then and there but after that 5-second glimpse of rewinding time by accident, she was scared of what else might happen in the future. Oh, snap. I thought of the future- did I time skip? No? Oh thank goodness. She sighed out loud. He is the best bet I have to find out more information on this gem and... She mentally shook herself and instead of thinking about what new powers she had she decided to focus on the other matter.

"What... evil thing?" She ignored the dinner comment for now really wanting to ask this question first before she decided on staying or going.

“For generations, Cyrus has been cultivating a gathering of followers and warriors from across our world in secret to over throw his own father. He succeeded in slaughtering his father. Witnesses say the saw him embrace his father in a final hug , whisper something into his ear and then push him out the window. The crown is his, but the people are not. They revolted and split, forming their former kingdoms. Cyrus will stop at nothing to rule my world and will destroy half the world to make it happen. There’s more to this story, but for now let’s save that for dinner. “

Crystal listened to Blaze intently and she meant to pay FULL attention but at some point her own voice in her head took over again. How the F*CK did I end up here. Omg. Monica! I was supposed to call her after the bank! She probably heard about the robbery... Dude. I'm with a robber. But... It seems he has a good reason for trying to get the gem THAT IS NOW INSIDE OF ME.She shushed her voice that was being rather annoying today and trying to freak out on her. She felt like there was a battle inside of her telling her to stay, help and learn or GET OUT. She decided to focus on the voice of wisdom that felt like she had a purpose for being here.

She looked up at Blaze and nodded her head. "I will stay for dinner. Italian sounds great. Do you mind if I make a call beforehand?" She wasn't sure if she SHOULD ask or just call. She patted her pocket to notice her phone wasn't in it though and looked up at him again. "Um... Do you have my phone?"

“Phone?” “Right, of course.” Blaze contemplates whether or not he should hand her phone back to her. While he really has no need to hold on to the device, he must be wary of any chance that his location is revealed to the public. Alright Blaze, figure this one out. I can’t just give her back her phone. As much as I’d like to trust her, if my location were to be made public it would be swarmed with police and I’d lose any hope of returning home. If I don’t return it, it’ll make convincing her to help me that much harder. Let’s see if I can fix this. Blaze looks to his left. The left side of the cave is adorned in crystals, paintings and thousands of gold deblooms piled as high as the Ant-Man can grow. In the center of the cave was a single door with a complex looking lock attached to it.

As Blaze’s gaze turns back to Crystal, he tells her, “Your phone fell during our journey. I’ve sepersted it to the only room not able to be seen or located by any map or GPS. For security purposes, I must keep it there to avoid the anyone finding my whereabouts. Your friend sounds like she may be worried sick. Why don’t you allow me to transport you to her. So that she may know you are safe. “ Blaze sticks his hand out towards Crystal. He knows that he’s doing this all for the duty he has towards his people, but deep down he can feel that a part of him just wants to spend more time with her. Blaze looking at Crystal as she responds...
