Sawyer

When Grace finished Sawyer smiled at the carving in the tree and found herself feeling like she was falling. This felt like some scene out of a movie but Sawyer could care less. She would rip something straight out of a movie if she felt like Grace would like it. Sawyer would probably do anything if she thought Grace would like it. As Grace stood and made went to hand Sawyer's knife back to her, Sawyer flipped the ring in her hand into her palm until she had shoved the knife into her pocket.

"I think they do to." Sawyer said, referring to Grace's comment about them making a great pair, "Which is why, about a week ago, I went out and got this." She revealed the ring finally and presented it to Grace with a wide smile. The thing was dainty and silver with two light blue stones set on the outside of where the ring twisted into an infinity simple. It was cheesy, sure, but she had thought it was pretty and almost exactly what she was looking for. The color of the stones had reminded her of Grace's eyes and after that thought came about there was no question about buying it.

"I had planned to have this whole date thing, but this felt like the right time so." Sawyer reached down and picked up Grace's hand, "With this promise ring, I promise to be here as long as you need me and to never stop loving you." Deceptively simple words with a whole lot of emotion and meaning packed behind them. Promising to always be there for someone wasn't something she'd had the chance to do a whole lot and now there was this real tangible thing there to remind Grace of that promise. Sawyer slipped the ring over Grace's finger and let out a heavy, relieved sigh.

"Oh, thank god it fits. I was worried it wouldn't." Sawyer ran her thumb over the ring and then looked up at Grace again, "Is it alright?"

Rae
original.gif

Rae had been feeling way goofier than usual, weed definitely wasn't something she was planning to do again anytime soon. Despite it making her feel so much more relaxed at the play, she didn't like not feeling completely in control. She bit the side of her cheek trying to bring herself back to reality just a tad. She was already feeling better than she had been at the play.

Rae looked away from the menu for a moment smiling up over at Chase. Her eyes lit up and she bit her lower lip to keep her from smiling so big. She really didn't like her huge smile, while her brother embraced his she tried to hide hers. "I love a good burger." Her stomach growled, being high was making her hungry, her cheeks turned bright red at the sound of her stomach, she swore that the whole world, or at least the whole restaurant had heard it. "I think I need that burger." Laughing lightly at the situation.

Rae's demeanor changed though when Chase brought up Thanksgiving.. She didn't really ever think about the holiday anymore, her dad refused to celebrate it the past two years, he refused to celebrate anything since her mother passed. Him actually making a move to Westbrook was the first thing he had made a decision about in a really long time. "Uh.. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving." She said quietly, turning her gaze back to the menu starring blankly at the pages as she flipped through the menu. "My dad doesn't like holidays anymore."

Rae felt comfortable around Chase, why couldn't she just tell him why, she felt like something was caught in her throat holding back every emotion she ever had. And if she told Chase, everything would come out like a tsunami. She tried to look back at him, but she just kept diverting her eyes, as she choked out a response. "What about you guys. What do you guys do for Thanksgiving." She faked a smile as best as she could, but it fell off her face as she starred back at the table.

Mason
Sexy Beach.gif

Mason nodded his head, listening as Raven explained what had happened. "Well it was sweet. And Raven, I didn't know you were capable of being such a romantic." He teased. Yeah, Mason had been close enough that after the curtains had drawn, he'd watched the whole thing and heard Raven's little stunt. And yes, he was going to tease her for it. "All 'Oh Alaska, I want you and only you.'" He said in his best impression of Raven's voice, which was just very high-pitched and kinda whiny. Mason wasn't great at girl voices, okay? His voice was deep, kind of gruff -- it was hard to sound feminine. Still, his point had been made, and he was laughing as he did so.

He shook his head at her suggestion. "Talking doesn't work." Mason replied bluntly as he went to take another drag on the cigarette, and yet, he wasn't feeling it anymore. So he dropped it to the sidewalk, grinding it in with his shoe and then catching back up with Raven. "He just ignores me, or changes the subject, or... one time he ran away." That was the time that Mason hadn't heard from him for a few days, and then the next thing he knew, they were receiving a call from a hospital in another city that Drake had overdosed and was in critical care. It had been right after school ended last year, and the memory still made Mason sick.

"Oh, thanks..." Mason said slowly as he stopped with Raven, turning to her as she spoke. Was she being... nice to him? As in, suggesting that he come to her with his issues or something? "But you know how it is. Deny, shove under the rug... just basically act like it's not happening. I mean, if it gets out there or whatever. If CPS gets involved, they could take Ari, too." At least with Adriane back, she'd just get custody of her. But beforehand... Mason would've completely lost her. "Drake's so old that they won't do much now, but Ari... I'm kinda fucked, you know? So gotta just not talk about it to anyone."

Ash
Cute Smile.gif

Ash laughed, rolling her eyes. "Please, you'd actually have to get on the team for me to come cheer you on." She said teasingly because yeah, Ash knew that Ryder would be able to make it onto the team. He was good, alright? And if he didn't, Ash would... start a riot or something. "I'll come see every game, but you have to beat up, like, at least one person for it to be worth it." What? Wasn't that the point of watching hockey? To see the vicious fights that broke out?

Okay, so chances were she wouldn't be able to make it to every game, but that was years away. Who was to say they'd even be friends at that point? Things happened all the time, and to be perfectly honest, their friendship had gone through so much drama this year with the whole dating thing that Ash was beginning to doubt that they'd be able to be friends forever. What? She could be pessimistic with some things, and being friends with exes was one of them.

For a moment after he had spoken, Ash was quiet. She looked back down at the table, messing with the sides of her milkshake glass as she did so, thinking carefully about what to say. Which, well, was easier said than done in this kind of situation. Hell, maybe she should just become a nun or something, but religion was so boring.

Finally, she took in a deep breath, leaned back in her seat, and looked at Ryder. "Well if you just... don't do things because you're scared that something might get messed up, like... that's just boring." Was she making sense? Oh heck, she had no idea. "Like, I mean, some things are worth possibly fucking up, right? My dad always tells us 'Ask yourself if in a few years from now, would you regret not doing that thing?' Well, he says it more eloquently, but the point still remains."

"Look, I can't imagine ever not being your friend. Ryder, you're one of my best friends." Well, him and Grace, and that's about where Ash's bt friend ended. "But I mean, I still really like you or, uh... love you, I guess? Anyway, I'd get back together with you and risk fucking everything up because..." She hesitated, a little smile coming to her lips. "I've never been as happy with a guy as I was with you, even considering how it ended."

Neck Tie the Sailor Man

PYCIqR7.gif

Spinach was not what Neck Tie had in mind when he suggested ordering a pizza. ‘And maybe some mushrooms?’ Oh no, even worse. He facepalmed and chuckled to himself, but Casper had made up his mind, so that was what they were having.

They played a couple of matches while waiting on the pizza, which was really, really taking its time. Casper wanted to know if he meant it when he said he was good. ‘Yeah, you’re alright, actually.’ Actually, he was dreadful. ‘I think you’re getting the hang of it. . . you know what I mean.’ He stuffed some more of the nachos in his mouth.

‘I don’t play much sports anymore either,’ Neck Tie said with regret, ‘Football isn’t a thing here. I mean, soccer isn’t. I kinda learnt that the hard way. . . Did you hear about what happened to me on the football pitch?’

He felt more sorry for Casper the more he talked. His parents seemed awfully controlling. Casper was always answering every question with ‘well my dad this’, ‘my mum that’, it was like he never got to be himself at all. ‘I mean, my Dad’s not like that. . . he loves the telly. You know you could always come watch with us. We have movie nights sometimes. It’s just the two of us most of the time. But we have popcorn and all that, we make it in the microwave. . .’

Neck Tie sighed. ‘I don’t know, maybe my dad can ask your Omma if you could come. It might be easier that way.’ He rested the controller under his chin. ‘I don’t know much about art. I guess I used to like to draw, sometimes. But I’m not very good.’

Suddenly the door bell rang and Martin went to receive the pizza. He brought it to the table and called the boys: ‘Come, before it gets cold!’ Neck Tie shot up from the sofa and headed over, mostly out of curiosity since he’d never ordered a spinach pizza before. Well, he didn’t know what else he was expecting. It was green all right. He took a slice, for a moment fancying himself becoming as strong as Popeye!

June
She nodded as he explained his relationship with the siblings. Well, that makes sense, and for some reason it made her happy to think he was only friends with her. She reached over and patted him on the shoulder. “I doubt she hated you...” She paused and then looked at him. “Actually she probably does right now, but that’s not to say she will still hate you later.” Even though from her experience, once people hate her, they will continue to hate her to the end of time. However, this Jamie guy seemed very nice and downright hot, two things that guarantees someone a pass through hate.

She looked around the kitchen and to her cup. “This place is getting a little stuffy... Do you wanna go outside?” She asked pointing to the backyard. “Maybe grab a few bottle while you’re at it.” She said with a smile and laugh.

Grace
tumblr_inline_plyaivpib11rqmlml_540.gif

Glad to hear that Sawyer had thought they’re a good pair too. It’d be weird if she didn’t. Grace was about to say something, but Sawyer pulled out a ring and all that came out was a small gasp. She didn’t say anything, listening to Sawyer speak about timing, and then she was lifting her hand to make promises to her and Grace felt like she could’ve cried, In a good way this time. No one had ever made her feel as special as Sawyer does. Or did half the things she did to show that they cared enough about her. And Grace honestly couldn’t ever imagine life without Sawyer, she was convinced that this promise wasn’t going to go anywhere, because she’s always going to need Sawyer.

When she’d asked her a question, she knew she couldn’t leave her like that without saying anything, so Grace snapped out of her own awe and the smallest of smiles played on her face, “Yes, It’s... gorgeous.” It was more of a whisper, but she was sure that she could hear her, but she wasn’t really focused on that right now. Looking down at the hand she was holding, and glancing at the ring, she loved it, it really was beautiful. And was ten times more priceless because it was from her, she was positive her girlfriend could give her an old newspaper and it’d mean the world to her, it just mattered that Sawyer would’ve wanted to that made all the difference.

Even though Sawyer had made a promise to her, it wasn’t like Grace isn’t going to make one back. With a small sigh in bliss, she took a step even close to her and their faces were a few inches away from the other. Letting go of her hand only to move them on both sides of her face and looked into her dark eyes she loved so much. “I promise to never leave you, and to never stop loving you.” It didn’t feel right to her without making one back. She should know that promises can go both ways.

“I don’t have a ring or anything to seal that promise, so I’ll settle on the next best thing.” Grace leaned in ever so slowly and closed the small distance between them, a sweet and extremely slow kiss, one that which she tried to channel all her feelings into, today might’ve been one of the worst days of her life, tad dramatic, yes. But who wouldn’t think was terrible? Leave it up to Sawyer Andrews to save the day, again and again. It’s like she never fails and Grace was almost envious how perfect she was. After only a few moments, she pulled away, breathing heavily for the first couple seconds, and smiling brightly while leaning her head on Sawyer’s. “Everything about this is so cliché, the overlook, the carving, promise ring.” It really was. But that didn’t mean Grace didn’t love every second it.

“It’s perfect.”

Raven
tumblr_pnbhd8qTnp1wpsy3do6_400.gif

Trying to ignore Mason's teasing words, Raven could be romantic when she wanted to, okay? Okay, probably not. But that's beside the point. Although ignoring it didn't really help, turning her head slightly to send him a glare which quickly faltered when he tried to do an impression of her, shaking her head and an amused smile came across her face. Letting out a small laugh. "Need to practice your better Rivera impression. It's not as good as the original." Gesturing to herself.

He wasn't really wrong, talking didn't work. But it couldn't hurt to try, Raven usually tried to talk to her mother about it, but she always brushed it off like it was nothing. So, when she kept trying it obviously didn't help, she didn't give up, she just... stopped trying so hard. Slowing her pace so he could catch up to her, she had to admit walking with someone home wasn't as bad as walking alone. It's not like she hated walking alone, this was just better in it's own way. "My mom ran away more times than I could count." She shrugged uncaringly, though, she cared. Raven just didn't really like talking about it. Or well, thinking about it in general. Acknowledging his thanks, but she didn't say anything about it. Raven just averted her gaze elsewhere and tilted her head towards the sidewalk for them to continue walking, but slowing her pace entirely, she didn't want to make it home so quickly just yet. It wasn't like she was actually enjoying talking to Mason. Okay, yeah, she's lying. It was just nice to be with someone who... understood how she felt. Even if it was just the small similarities.

CPS was... scary enough to think about. Luckily Raven avoided them most of her life, so she didn't have much experience with it. An social worker had actually came to the trailer she used to live in with her mom one day, but that was after... never mind what it was after, her grandmother took her in after that. But Raven still thinks what could've happened if she was placed in the system instead, would she live somewhere else? Maybe have other people she considered family? Doubted it. Believe it or not. She was okay with her life right now, it wasn't the best. But it was with the people she cared about, even if it was a small total of only two. Nancy and her grandmother were the people she really had. Her mother was a total different story. "I think you should move out." It seemed like the best course of action for them in her opinion, she didn't know Drake that well, but to be fair. She wouldn't want her baby to live with an addict.

Children shouldn't be around all of that. Even if they're sober now, it's only a matter of time before they relapse. She hoped Drake wouldn't, but it's what they usually do. It was the sad truth, and she wished it wasn't. Nor had any good experiences with things like that. But Raven wasn't about to say all of that to Mason, there isn't a good reason to freak him out like that just because of what she believed. Like she said though, the hyperactive dork seemed like a tough guy. So here's hoping. "You're 18, no?" She asked, before shrugging. "Maybe get an apartment, just for you and Ariana." Preferably without the red-haired whore. "Not that I would know, so don't get all defensive on me. But it seems like what's best for your daughter."

"I saw her y'know, she's a cute kid." Raven grinned and turned her head slightly his way. She'd caught sight of the young girl a few times, she deserves better, poor kid.

Mood: Excitable| Interacting with: Oliver |Mentions: Rach Rach

Theo raised his brow as Oliver tried to deny that he was uncomfortable. Yep, that was totally believable. Then tried to pull off that he was only a little uncomfortable. Damn, this boy should be an actor. Maybe then the school play wouldn't have flopped so hard. What was he doing? Oh right, talking. "You were putting your earphones in and looked about ready to hide in a dark corner" he pointed out with an amused smile. He also happened to grab a bottle of flavoured vodka on the way out. Trust in Jules to always have a really random variety of alcohols. "Being tipsy usually helps" he advised, taking a sip. He then passed the bottle over to Oliver. Had he drunk before? Well, he would find out in a minute because that stuff tasted horrid.

"Barely" he chuckled, shaking his head. Oliver thought he was cool? He was anything but cool but he was glad that at least some people thought he was. "I'll let you in on a secret. We're faking it. If you act like you are then others start to believe it." He probably wasn't meant to admit to that but oh well. He never truly felt 'popular' or 'cool' he just had a lot of friends... Like everyone, he met because having friends was great. It made him happy and he liked to make other people happy. Although it seemed like there had been quite a bit of unhappiness going around since he had been away. He would fix that though.

"Eh, I'm just kinda average at hockey. Being able to play the drums sounds far cooler" Theo elbowed Oliver playfully, trying to boost his confidence a little. He had now claimed Ollie as his friend and he wasn't just gonna let the boy be down on himself. OOoo he had an idea of what could cheer him up. He had impulse brought some cool looking drumsticks. They change colour every time you hit them against a drum. God, he loves glowy things. "Where are they.. Aha!" he pulled the drumsticks from his bag and held them out to Oliver. "I'm bad at impulse buying things that glow. I have no use for them so here" he beamed. Gifts were great!

Yes, her name was Belle indeed. Jace let her talk while he pulled out his phone, keeping his attention on her words while he opened up Twitter. It was time for him to fulfill the phone addicted teenager stereotype. "Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen the school blow up this bad." He replied, looking back up from the phone while the social media app loaded. "And that's saying a lot." It was true. There were a lot of fights at Westbrook, but the student directed play had been a uniquely potent disaster. Even people like Neck Tie and Ash's brother, who he never would've expected to throw fists in anger, had been the first to be consumed by the wrathful madness.

Looking down at his phone once more, he scrolled through the accounts he was following, searching for one in particular before opening DMs to it. It seems that particular feature of Twitter was coming in handy more than usual. Although this time he intended to use it more for fun than for actual practicality, sending a quick message before meeting Belle's gaze again. "Not really sure how I feel about that..." The boy still had a wide smile on his face as he continued. "Can't tell whether or not to be jealous of them for getting to skip school." Jace didn't know about the kids destined for suspension, but being forcibly excused from attending school would be fine for him. His parents weren't home, after all. Granted he'd probably catch some flak for it once they got back, but at least he'd have a few extra days to do whatever he wanted. Wasn't much of a punishment, really. "But hey, look on the bright side. You'll probably have a few days to get your bearings before Wesbtrook kicks into full gear. If we're lucky, we might even get a little break from the carnage."

Casper Ollila

Casper looked to Neck Tie as he face palmed, tilting his head as he frowned a bit. Had he done something wrong? Casper nibbled his lip, but eventually decided to say nothing.

Things continued, and Casper was absolutely giddy at the idea he was actually decent at something like this. Casper continued eating snacks, not minding how long the pizza was taking. Just the fact he was getting pizza at all was enough to excite him.

He frowned when Neck Tie said he didn’t play many sports anymore, imagining if he just suddenly were forced to give up art one day. The idea made his skin crawl. His parents had tried in the past, but Aaron had always encouraged him, so he had stuck to it.

Then, he tilted his head, messing up yet again as he racked his brain for anything involving the football pitch. Eventually, he shook his head. “What happened?” he asked.

Of course, then Neck Tie was inviting Casper to more things, and he couldn’t help a quiet gasp before he broke out into a grin. “Oh, that sounds great!”

Then, he nibbled his lip. He wouldn’t be able to convince his parents on his own, and he was about to admit that when Neck Tie suggested his dad talk to his omma anyways. Casper nodded happily.

Turning to Neck Tie as he mentioned he used to draw, eyes widening, Casper was about to ask if he could see when his phone went off at the exact same time the doorbell rang.

Casper jumped, looking up with wide eyes as Michael got the pizza. He was torn for a moment, but figured the message could at least wait until after pizza, so he went over and grabbed a piece as well, humming as he took a bite.

Scarlet
scarannoyed.gif

She smiled innocently up at him before taking a sip of her drink and making a slight face afterwards. Alcohol never tasted good, Scarlet decided. "I don't know what you're talking about." Her eyes glanced around the expanse of the party, looking from person to person as she people-watched before shifting her gaze back to Mads. "You don't have to drink it all, bub." Scar gave his chest a small tap with her finger as she took another step towards him. She liked invading his space.

Head tilting back, Scarlet looked up at him after she took another sip of her drink. Already, she could feel her mouth getting a little tingly from the alcohol. For a second, she looked away from him and over her shoulder. Jamie was still talking to some girl that was in one of her classes - June? She had never talked to her before, but watched as she touched his shoulder. Interesting. Her head turned to look back at Madison with only a half-smile this time. Well, it only bummed her out that he would talk to random people but wouldn't try and have a conversation with his own step-sister. She opened her mouth to say something when a boy, more her height that Mads' and with dark hair and eyes, approached them.

Scarlet looked over to him, wondering if maybe he knew Mads' somehow, since she surely didn't know him. But he was looking at her. Staring, really. Her brow furrowed slightly in confusion before the guy finally decided to speak. "Hey, I couldn't help but notice how beautiful you looked from over there and just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Sebastian."

Why was he talking to her? She was clearly with Madison, their body language screaming that if they weren't exclusive, they were at least extremely interested in each other.

Jamie

He didn't react when she touched him, but did take note that she was probably already feeling the alcohol. Either that, or she was getting very comfortable around him due to the loss of the nerves she definitely had when she first approached him. Jamie didn't mind, though, and smirked when June explained how Alaska most likely felt about him and would feel. He supposed that was a possibility, the dark-haired girl not always hating him, but he didn't know the Vaughn girl like he did Chase, or even Ryder. She could hate him until one of them leaves Westbrook; he wasn't sure what would come first. But the boy appreciated the redhead's positivity and his smirk shifted into a smile. "Fair. Time will tell, I guess."

June offered to go outside, and Jamie nodded in agreement. He opened the fridge and pulled out a few beers, as well as held onto the handle that he had been pouring into his and the girl's cups. Hands full, he gave her hip a gentle nudge with his own and winked once he got her attention. "Alright, let's go La Gingerina," He said with a soft breath of a chuckle at what he called her before leading the way out into the backyard. It wasn't very funny, really, but he was feeling his alcohol, too.

Oliver
oliverlaugh.gif

Oliver almost laughed at Theo's description of him, only because it was extremely accurate. He didn't mind a good dark corner to hide in if he wanted to be alone. But he didn't actually like being alone. He was already lonely with no one, not even his family, that he could actually talk to. It was really boring, and the music he played was the only thing that made it worth even trying. He watched as the boy drank from the vodka bottle, blinking when his arm reached out and offered it to him. Hm. Sure. Oliver took it from him with a smile. "Yeah, liquid courage." He gave a small nod before drinking from it before lowering it and clearing his throat. "Even if it doesn't taste that awesome."

He offered the bottle back to Theo and tilted his head to the side when he explained. The idea of there being a secret to popularity made him grin, holding back a laugh so his friend could finish explaining. "Well, maybe I'll give it a try. Thanks, Theo." Ollie tucked his fingers into the front pockets of his jeans, leaning onto his toes before rocking back onto his heels with his gaze to the ground. Then, the boy in front of him pulled out another gift. This guy had been giving things out all night. Generosity was definitely an attractive trait on him.

Oliver rose his eyebrows in surprise and opened his mouth in awe. They were amazing. His drum sticks were worn and mainly used to practice around with, so they were pretty beat. But these were innovative and new and... He didn't want to tear up in front of his new friend, so Oliver gave a sharp inhale and stopped himself from getting any more emotional. How sweet. "Wow." Taking them from the boy, he gave them a twirl between his fingers and grinned from ear to ear with gleaming eyes in the dim lighting. "That's really nice of you. I-I don't know what to say." Oliver held them both in one of his hands and hugged Theo with a slight breathy laugh. "Thank you."

June smiled as he let it go. She felt all warm inside, it felt like she could look down at herself and see the gentle campfire within her. Warm. Warm. Warm. She nudged him a little back on the hip and helped him hold the drink. “La Gingeria huh?” She said playfully. “Jam Jam, that could be your nickname.” She said using one hand as a playful finger gun before holding onto the beers. She looked around the backyard and back at the flashing lights behind them. “It must be nice. Everyone comes to these, you have a nice house, everyone will remember you if you throw an ‘epic’ night. It’s just all fun.” She looked down at the grass. It looked so soft. A bed with clean sheets and all she wanted to do was lay on it. She put the drinks down before laying on her back and brushing her hair so it sprawled around her like crown. She looked up at Jamie. “It feels nice.” She said with a giggle and closed her eyes. All she could feel in the wind and it was a gentle mix of cold and warm. “Everything feels so nice right now. Even though that just might be the drink.”

"oh really? Huh. Looks like I definitely picked the right day to come" Belle joked, playing with a stray bit of hair. Jeez, she hoped things would calm down a bit after today. If every day was like today then she might need to start wearing her golden cross again. It seemed like the would be needing a little more godly protection to survive through the year. She furrowed her brows a little as whipped out his phone and started typing something. She didn't think she was that boring, was she?

While the person she was talking to occupied himself she looked around the room. Well, it didn't seem like anyone else was free to chat so it seemed like she was going to continue to chat to this guy. Who was more interested in his phone than talking to her... Lovely. Then her phone vibrated in her pocket, a notification. Usually, she wouldn't be so rude as to whip out her phone while talking to someone. But if he could be on his then she could be on hers. A twitter message? She typed up a quick reply before placing her phone on the bench this time. So if he whipped out his phone then she could busy herself with hers.

"Majority of the friends I made today were included in that bunch. So sounds more like a lonely first day" she admitted. A little chaos was good. It would keep her mind occupied and off the topics, she would rather avoid. Would any of the cheer team be included in the expulsion? She hoped not. Oh, she desperately wanted to get onto that team. It had been so long since she had been in uniform her body basically ached to be cheering. Maybe JJ would come over at some point and they could practice together.

Juliette made her way through the house, she might've drank a little more since she'd talked to Belle and Theo, but she wasn't drunk enough to be considered wasted, yet. Looking around for a certain blonde haired boy, who just so happened to be ignoring her text messages and who just seemed to fall off the face of the earth in a matter of two hours. Whatever, it wasn't like Jules was worried or anything. It wasn't like he wasn't her boyfriend. Wait, no that's exactly what he was. Shaking her head in annoyance with her own self, maybe she should've just went with him, wherever he decided to run off to when the play just turned into a total disaster.

Walking through the living room which was actually empty, the house was big enough to where everyone else was wandering around or in the main center of the house. She wasn't even sure why she was looking, it was obvious he wasn't here. Or... cared enough to be. Chad was the only one in the room and she rolled her eyes at the sight, he had one of their parents priceless vase in his hands. She approached him and yanked it out of his hands, glaring towards him. "No touching." He reached out but it wasn't exactly for the vase. "Aw, cmon babe." He said, and she scoffed in disgust, placing the vase back down. "I don't see golden boy anywhere. Doesn't bother you in the least what everyone says about him? Hmm..?" He stepped closer to her, and she bumped into the dresser where she'd placed the vase down. "Doesn't it make you want to get back at him?" He said almost in a whisper and she could smell the alcohol on his breath. Chad placed his hands on both sides of her waist and pulled her towards him in a swift movement.

Juliette didn't wait another second as she raised her hand and slapped him hard across the face, she was sure the room echoed from the impact, glaring harshly. "Sorry, I thought touching without permission was what you wanted?" Pushing him away, Chad was a complete asshole, and he deserved nothing less. "Leave." She ordered, surprisingly enough, he backed away and left the room without a word. Once he left, Juliette let out a sigh and sat down on the couch, why'd she even have a party if nobody important was gonna show up? The cheer team wasn't here, which she wasn't surprised about. Bryan wasn't here, and the only person she actually gave an actual invitation to didn't come. Or at least, JJ hasn't seen her so..

A box wrapped in blue caught her attention, and she furrowed her eyebrows and leaned over to pick it up from the coffee table it was lying on. 'To: JJ.' Hm. From... oh, Theo. How sweet. Unwrapping the gift, and raising an eyebrow at the Champagne, well, at least he had taste. Maybe France improved his decision making, and he just decided to get the perfect present, however, something else inside of it caught her eye, and brought a genuine smile to her face. Running a hand over the stitched designs on the beret, and setting it aside before quickly pulling out her phone and sending him a private message on twitter to thank him. It was honestly, really nice that he thought of her, didn't he have many friends?

Her smile faded as she thought about receiving a gift from another guy, when had Bryan got her something this thoughtful before? If she was honest with herself, she couldn't remember. And that just soured her mood even more, deciding to just enjoy herself and forget about everyone else. She walked over to where her father kept his whiskey, and took a glass, opening the probably one of a kind Champagne that she'd probably only in France, but whatever. Pouring it and quickly drinking most of what was left in the glass, before adding more. So she didn't have anyone to drink with, who cares? Excellent question. Not JJ, nope, not the slightest bit.

"Eh vodka's more like liquid death or liquid stupid" Theo joked, taking another swig from the bottle. God that was peculiar. Mandarin maybe? It seemed like some form of citrus. Possibly grapefruit. Grapefruit felt like it made sense. Well to him at least. "It also doesn't help that it's flavoured," he said, taking a smaller sip than the last one. "I can't even tell what the flavour is" he added, holding the bottle out to him again. Should he have been drinking? Probably not but hey it was a Friday. He could recover on Saturday as well as Sunday. Weekends were freaking awesome.

His phone buzzed, causing him to pull it from his pocket. A Dm from JJ, she must have found her gift. "Gimme two seconds. JJ gets annoyed when you take too long to respond" he chuckled, messaging her back. It may have been a bit long for just a twitter dm but he didn't care. He wanted her to know that he cared for her. She was a good friend even if she often had up her tough guy act. He would probably pester her to have a movie night later in the month. She was one of his favourite people to hang out with.

Oliver seemed to really like the gift, that made him happy. The way peoples eyes lit up when they were given something they really liked. That was Theo's high, making people that happy. "No need to thank me. Being the hotter version of Santa is great" he said, flexing a little to prove his point. Although it probably just made him look like an even bigger dork. Then he hugged him so he hugged back. Theo liked hugs, they were good. It had seemed like forever since his last hug when in reality it was just that morning from his mom. But either way, hugs were goddamn brilliant and people needed to hug more. "You can pay me back by hanging out with me tomorrow? Everyone I know is going on a date. It's laaame" he said, giving Oliver his best heart-melting puppy dog eyes.

Jace watched expectantly as the girl checked her phone, his expression shifting to one of rakish mischief. However it seemed his anticipation was misplaced. Belle just typed a message back before resuming the conversation. Carrying on as if nothing had happened. Apparently she hadn't connected the same dots that he had. No matter, he could work with this. A normal person might've just clarified the communication failure, awkwardly clarifying that they had been the one to message her. Or, if they wanted to avoid the jarring change of subject, the theoretical person might simply let the moment pass. However in this moment Jace saw an opening to amuse himself.

Of course he still had to keep up with the conversation while he was at it. "Well, that just means you'll have to make more friends. Doesn't it?" The light of his phone's screen glinted off of his eyes for a brief moment. Then he was back at it, typing and sending another message. "Shouldn't be too hard. I mean that's what parties are for, right?" Jace's piercing blue gaze once again focused on Belle as his sentence concluded. He was curious to see how she'd take his message, waiting with baited breath for the girl to check her phone. Now this had the potential to be much more fun than a mere conversation.

Neck Tie

‘It was a long time ago. . . The first day of school, actually. I asked Drake if I could play football with him. Well his brother, Mason, he was the captain of the team. He started making fun of me because I was eating nuggets. . . I kinda wanted to prove to him that I could play football, so I challenged him to a one-on-one,’ Neck Tie said, ‘But the whole time I thought we was talking about soccer! Yes I'm an idiot, I know.'

‘Mason said he’d lose his scholarship if I won. But he lost the scholarship anyway. I think Kanen broke his leg badly and that’s why he couldn’t play anymore. At least that’s what Drake told me. Kanen’s always hurting people, but I don’t think he means it. He’s not a bad guy. Mason isn’t bad, either. I mean, he’s a bully, but. . . I think he’s a good kind of bully.’

Neck Tie had also heard Casper’s phone go off. ‘Was that yours?’ he asked, ‘Maybe it’s your Omma.’

The cheese clung to his bite and the topping nearly all came off with it. Thankfully he caught it at his chin. ‘Mmm. . . This pizza is actually quite nice,’ he said, covering his mouth as he chewed. Spinach pizza tasted better than it sounded, but not by a whole lot. He still wished they were having pepperoni or something a little more exciting than spinach.

Martin passed a few serviettes around. Neck Tie wondered what Casper was humming. ‘Dad, do you think Casper could come around the next time we see a film?’

‘I don’t see why not,’ Martin said, ‘You can come around whenever you like, Casper. You’re always welcome here. Well, as long as your parents are OK with it, and your school work gets done.’

‘Could you maybe ask his mum, Dad?’

‘Me? Why me?’

‘I guess maybe she’ll say yes, if it was an adult asking, you know. . .’

‘I mean, sure, I suppose. But why would it be any different if I asked her?’

‘Cos you’re a professor, Dad. People always listen to you,’ Neck Tie said, ‘. . .except your students.’ He chuckled and turned to Casper. 'I've sat in one of his classes. I swear everyone was asleep by the end of it!'

Mads

Madison smirked as she poked his chest, he dramatically rubbed the spot with his hand. "Ow." He let out a small chuckle before wrapping his free arm around Scarlet's waist. As she looked around the room, he watched her demeanor change again, just like it had when they parked behind the truck. "Hey are you okay?" Madison asked, his eyebrows furrowed together.

Before Scarlet could even respond, some random guy came up and started hitting on his girlfriend. He hadn't ever seen this tinny guy before, understandably he would be easy to miss. His arm was literally on Scarlet, Madison wasn't sure what this guy thought would happen approaching his girlfriend. Madison had a lot more than height on this guy, Scar was out of Mads league, how did Sebastian think he even had a chance.

"Yea, my girlfriend is pretty gorgeous." Madison reached his hand out towards the small man-child. "Mads, nice to meet you Sebastian." He starred the boy down, as he had been doing to his girlfriend. Except Mads stare had a bit of anger to it, when Sebastian took his hand he probably put too much force into the handshake, but Mads was trying to make a point without beating the kid to a pulp. Because that wasn't how he did things.

Casper Ollila

Despite how awful what Neck Tie was telling Casper was, Casper couldn’t help a nervous giggle. It was kinda cute, but Casper didn’t dare think on that a second longer, let alone actually speak on it.

Of course, what he said next wasn’t cute in the slightest, and Casper couldn’t help a gasp, turning to Neck Tie with sad eyes.

He rolled his lips, parsing his next words carefully. He didn’t know who any of these people were, but he could figure it out easily enough that this Kanen guy was bad news. Of course, Stu said he wasn’t, so maybe he was like Aaron.

He waited a moment before asking, “Is Mason your friend?” It made sense with the way he spoke about him, didn’t it? Though Casper couldn’t imagine Stu being friends with a bully, even the good kind, whatever that meant. Stu was a nice boy, after all, very much unlike Casper.

He nibbled his lip again as Stu suggested his omma was calling, hard enough he could feel it, deliberating carefully as he looked at his pizza. Stu was right- it could be his omma, unlikely as it was, and the thought made his stomach crumple up, but he really wanted to just enjoy some pizza.

Finally, with great care, he said, “Omma hates texting… She’d probably call if it was important.” It was true- Though, Casper couldn’t quite grasp who would be texting him. He didn’t really have that many friends other than Stu and Aaron, and Aaron hadn’t been talking to Casper much lately.

Maybe he should check the text, just to be safe. Then he could relax, and he wouldn’t feel like if he ate another bite he might just throw up everything he’d eaten today…

Casper took the napkin with a thank you, moving it carefully to his lap as he sat down, wiping his hand on it absentmindedly before he took out his phone.

From: Aaron

Where are you?

Last night’s conversation came flooding back to Casper, and his heart seized. He inhaled deeply, almost dropping his pizza. He’d promised to go to the park with Aaron. How could he forget?

He was a bad brother- A bad- A bad everything. He began to shake, and for a second, he was scared he might throw up.

“I need to go,” he said, though he couldn’t really recall saying it as he dropped his pizza on his napkin then tried to stand.

This obviously didn’t work out very well, and Casper swayed, looking down at the pizza on the floor before quietly beginning to whine.

Casper’s phone began to ring, the Yuri on Ice OST quietly playing, and Casper whined louder before heading for the door, not even bothering with a goodbye.

Ava
Small Wink.gif

With her expert beer pong skills and Zach's ability to... drink a lot of alcohol, they had managed to win the beer pong game. Which yeah, she may have been a little too excited about, but Ava was a competitive person. Her parents liked to remind her of that time she was playing chess with her dad, and she had swept the board when he'd almost beat her. Once. After she had beat him for several months straight since, well, those were her Saturdays. Playing chess with her dad. Wild, right?

Anyway, after that, Ava had excused herself from the large group, mostly by just slipping away when no one was looking. The rest of her night had been awkwardly walking around, making popular kids uncomfortable by winking at them (except the one girl that winked back), and looking for something that was non-alcoholic. Spoiler: Ava had found NOTHING.

Now, she was making her way through the house when she caught sight of Juliette in the living room. She narrowed her eyes at a very wasted Chad who seemed to have just come from the direction of that room. He better not have tried anything. Ava would roll up her sleeves and murder a bitch that tried to put hands on her Jules.

"Uhh... hey. Great party." Ava said as she awkwardly walked in, wondering if she was even wanted. Jules looked... sad, and Ava felt bad for her. Also kind of drunk.

Juliette was okay on drowning herself in expensive champagne alone, she was. Really. Downing another glass and tracing a scratch on the wooden coffee table with her free hand, her head snapped up when she heard a voice. Raising her eyebrows in surprise and watched her as she walked into the room. She opened her mouth to say something and closed it. Deciding to try again and blinking a few times to push her shock away. "You came." JJ wouldn't tell her, but she looked everywhere for her. Probably wouldn't even admit it to herself, but the thought of her not showing up saddened her.

This was obviously not sober thoughts, Juliette shouldn't care less if Ava accepted her invite or not, she didn't. Ignoring her own thoughts which were obvious lies. Juliette pushed a glass in her direction, pouring some of the champagne in the cup and sliding it a little ways her way on the coffee table. "It's special. I know you don't really, like, drink or whatever. But it's from France." Ava, being well, Ava, hopefully she didn't think Jules would poison her drink. She pleaded silently with her eyes, even if she wasn't a drinker. At least she could say she tried it. "And, no, not... a good party." Lifting her drink to her lips and drinking way more than she should be.

Jamie

"Oh boy," Jamie responded at the sound of the friendly moniker she bestowed to him and gave a shake of his head. He listened to her talk as he looked around the yard and cracked open one of the beers to drink. Next thing he knew, she was laying on the grass, and he wondered how she wasn't cold. Somehow, there was a smile on his face. Her hair was pretty as it was sprawled out around her. She seemed so... delicate - much different than the other girls he had met before. Giving a soft laugh, he pushed his hand through his own hair before taking a seat next to her, opting not to lay in the grass as she did. The girl was definitely a little drunk, but so was he, and the grass under his palm was nice and cool to the touch. She was right, it did feel nice.

"Did you come here by yourself?" He asked her, curious as he turned his head to look at her. He didn't recall seeing her with anyone inside, and no one had come up to make sure he wasn't some creep talking to their friend while they had been in the kitchen. It was rare to see someone at a nice party with no one to go with or keep an eye out for weirdos. Jamie figured she wasn't truly alone, though - he had done the same.

Oliver

Oliver had agreed - the flavor even seemed to make it worse, most of the time. It just tasted like floor cleaner would, the boy figured. He drank from it as his friend messaged JJ, not minding the small pause. Theo had many friends, clearly, as a hockey player and just being an extremely nice person. He was glad he came to the party, for having met Theo made it worth the slight awkwardness he assumed around mass amounts of people that knew each other besides him. When Theo hugged him back, his chest grew warm, and the guy was certainly one of the best huggers he had ever met before. Very open to the embrace, which was different than the usual hug he received from guys that looked like him.

When he let go and gave Theo more space, Oliver laughed. A much, much hotter version of Santa. Then, he rose his eyebrows at the cute boy's offer. Usually, he spent his weekends at home, in his room, and listening to music or playing his drums. He didn't really hang out with anyone simply because he assumed everyone else had something better to do. A smile spread across his lips and he nodded, handing the bottle of alcohol, again, back to Theo. His mouth was growing numb now, but his body felt warm, that was for sure.

"Yeah, of course I'll hang out with you. It seems everyone coupled up after the dance," Oliver shrugged. He hadn't gone, simply because he didn't have anyone to go with, and the idea of so many drunk teenagers made him nervous. Drunk driving was not okay, and Ollie especially hated it for his personal reasons. "Have any idea on what you want to do?"

Scarlet

'Yea, my girlfriend is pretty gorgeous.'

Oh. OH. He said it. The G word. It was almost like her brain was short-circuiting, her face feeling hot as she was bombarded with many emotions at once: excitement, happiness, surprise, slight fear... But, she accepted it, all of it, and the expression of confusion she had from Sebastian's approach shifted as a smile broke across her face and her own arm slid around to Madison's back as the boys shook hands. Her eyes shifted back to look at the short guy, Mads towering over him.

The boy had cleared his throat, giving the blonde boy an almost annoyed look. Scarlet narrowed her eyes again, giving him an annoyed look back. Was he stupid or something? But the weight of the basketball players handshake was enough to get his point across to Sebastian. A forced smile formed on his face, and Scar took a sip of her drink again instead of telling him her name when he looked to her, and he gave a slow nod. He was finally understanding that this had not been a good idea. Things would start to go downhill fast, if he decided to linger. "Well, it was nice to meet you." He looked to Madison one last time, no longer smiling, before turning on his heel and disappearing into the crowd.

Scarlet made a slight face, looking up to Mads as she traced patterns into his back with the fingers on her freehand. "Not sure what that was about, but I've never been more thankful for such a tall boyfriend." She grinned, looking up at him, her cup delicately hanging in her other hand as she spoke to him. Was it strange that she had never called another guy her boyfriend before? Scar wasn't about to bring it up, but still wondered anyway. It wasn't that she had never had experiences with people before, she just supposed that her more mature years were finally going to be lived outside of the countryside and away from solitude. She would finally get to have normal social experiences, like having a beautiful, tall boyfriend with pretty eyes and kind heart.

She was reluctant as she walked over, picking up the cup and taking a sniff of the champagne, which just made her gag. Ava eyed it suspiciously, swirling it around in her cup, and then took a taste -- with pinky raised, of course. It tasted horrible, and she stared coughing, setting the cup back down and trying to keep herself from puking. "That's uh... very interesting." Horrible. Disgusting. "I'll let you enjoy the rest of that." Ugh. Did the after taste ever go away? Was Ava going to get drunk now?

"What do you mean? Like, there's a ton of people here. They're having fun. No one died. Seems like a decent night." Ava pointed out as she sat down on the couch across from JJ. She thought it over, and then realized that she hadn't seen any of the cheerleader bitches that Jules usually hung around here. Weird. Didn't Grace and Ash usually come to every party? Wow, blondes really were bitches. It wasn't just a movie thing. And then where had Bryan been?

Fucking blondes.

Juliette's lips tilted into the smallest of amused smiles watching Ava's reaction at the drink, the pinky? Really? She wasn't going to say anything about it to cause her embarrassment, at least she was trying. Nodded at her words. "It isn't good." But it wasn't exactly for the taste, at least... not for her anyway. Drinking what was left in her cup and adding even more, it was a terrible idea. Yeah. But she didn't care, at this point being drunk is better than being sober. JJ didn't want to think about where Bryan was, or who thought about him. Or her friends that didn't show up.

Looking towards Ava, well, maybe just... some friends that didn't show up. Was she actually considering her as a friend? Yes. Of course she did, Lonnie was her best friend. But the keyword being, was. "Everyone else is having fun." She shook her head and shrugged. Just because there was a ton of people here didn't make her party feel like a success. Jules just wasn't enjoying herself, what was the sense in having a party if she wasn't enjoying herself? "Only fun i'll have tonight is if Chad dies." Finishing the rest of her drink and trying to pour more, but it seemed like she drank it all already. Reaching over and downing Ava's too. What? It wasn't like she was drinking it. Jules stood up from her seat and swayed for a moment before catching herself on the edge of the coach. "You know what we need..." Putting a hand to her mouth to cover a burp that was mostly from alcohol. Jeez. When was the last time she ate?

"More Drinks."

"I think everyone would be happy if Chad dies," Ava grumbled, glaring back out the door towards his stupid figure, before she looked back at Jules. Wow she was... drinking a lot. Ava slowly reached forward, taking the champagne and replacing the cork or whatever it is that closes bottles of champagne. "Maybe we do more drinking a different night, yeah?" She suggested with a small, forced smile. Yeah. Juliette was drunk. Welp. This was great.

"How about we do this great thing called... napping?" Ava asked as she placed the bottle back in the box it had come in, and then stood up, making her way towards JJ to help her up. "You can go and get some lovely sleep, I'll kick everyone out, it'll be great. This party has been going on long enough, anyway. Stupid horny teenagers can find somewhere else to neck." Wait, did people even use that term anymore? Probably not. God. Ava had the thought process of an old person.
