West Blue Arc: Zoomania

Keya, Seth, Mac and Alex

Keya didn't notice Seth at all nearby, mostly focused on Alex and Mac in front of her while also looking around for any signs of any more people being with the two kids. She giggled at Alex's excitement and nodded, "You bet I'm cool!" She replied enthusiastically. She smirked back at Mac when she mentioned what she had said were mere excuses, it was evident these kids didn't know what a dwarf was so she didn't say anything. They were too funny to prove wrong unless she needed to anyways.

She honestly giggled at her 'intimidating' face, not really scared in the slightest as evident by the huge smile on her face. She stared in disbelief however when the conversation was taken away from herself and the others being 'the bad guys with the huge ship' and instead replaced with a discussion on food and somehow starving giving away their position. She didn't comment, at-least not verbally, she certainly did laugh a few times however.

The dwarf girl just grinned when she was threatened again and nodded, "Yes ma'am~" She told her in an obviously sarcastic tone. She sighed when she mentioned a hostage trade for someone, she honestly doubted the people she was with kidnapped their friend. Much less if they were a kid like they were. At Alex's question she nodded, "Sure thing." She said, then proceeded to crawl up onto his shoulder and sat down afterwards. "Where we headed?" She asked.

Alex climbed down the tres once Keya was all the way on.  "We are going back home to get some food and plan, decide, debate our next move."  he said with a softly watching his step as he made his way down the tree.  It was quite the climb down but nothing the active boy couldn't manage.  Soon enough he made it down and once he did he looked up at Mac who was already pretty far ahead of them.  "Wait! Slow down! Give me a moment!  Just a second please!"  He shouted out but he didn't run after Mac as the other didn't seem to be in any sorto of rush.

Sighing lightly he looked over at Keya giving her another small smile.  "I'm sorry if we seem really rude to you. We don't mean to be an I promise leader won't actually do anything mean to you or anything.  We just want to make sure to get toad safe before we all get in huuuuge, enormous, a lot of trouble."

Mac who was ahead of the other held her head high acting very leaderly in her professional opinion as she walked on.  As she walked she looked in the sky and was starting to come up with a super perfect plan that was just perfect for saving Teri...if something didn't happen first.  Due to her attention being up rather than on the trail before her she failed miserably to notice a certain trap that was just perfectly in front of her.  "Hmmm how to get Toad back from the enemy...while also making sure they never come back here again.."  She mumbled just as her right foot stepped unknowingly into a trap laid out by a certain person.

The certain person in question had a hard time to keep himself hidden. It required all of his focus, which wasn’t much, not to jump from behind the tree and shout “HA! Gotcha!”. The fact that it was embarrassing thing to say without actually capturing anyone. Seth couldn’t wait to see their upside down surprised faces. He giggled in anticipation, two hands covering his mouth. He hoped these kids were not skilled hunters or they would definitely notice it.

Tsjak! Thankfully they were not even skilled enough to watch where they were going. The girl screamed as she was launched into the air and came to a halt dangling two meters from the ground. This was Seth’s moment to shine. He did his best evil highwayman imitation while he jumped from behind the tree. “HA! Gotch-” Tsjak! “AAAAAAAAHHH!” Seth was confused. Why had the whole world just turned upside down. Did the child have powers to do such things? He knew they were dangerous! Or had something else caused this peculiarity?

On the other hand, it felt like gravity hadn’t changed. Blood was rushing to his head. But if not gravity then what held him in this position? He looked at his feet. His legs were still widespread like he had when he jumped from behind the tree. Around each of his ankles there was a string of thread. Who had been so devious to lay a trap exactly where he would appear? Oh right, he did. As he watched the tip of his shirt untucked from his belt and fell over his face, making him unable to see his surroundings. “Keya, you out there?!” He shouted, not sure how far apart they were. “This is the part of the plan where you cut me down from here so we can trade your freedom for that of the young lady next to me, no haggling!”

"Eeeeeeeeek!  Get me down! Get me down!"  Mac screamed as she started to move as much as she could making it so she swung rather erratically back and forth, side to side angle to angle.   As she struggled she kept her hands up on her clothing, after all she was wearing a skirt and the last thing she would want is for some pervert to see something they shouldn't.

Alex who was a few yards behind Mac looked at the scene in shock before flinching when another man appeared annnd...fell for the same trap??  Didn't he set the trap??  Why would he trigger his own trap???  Blinking numerous time Alex shook his head before going over Mac.  "H-Hold on!  I'll assist!  Help! Try to get you out!"  He called out before looking over at Keya.  "Um...is he a friend of yours? I think he made a mistake...could you please help Mac down?  Uh..I..I don't really have any way to do it...."

Keya nodded slowly at Alex's response, smiling at the thought of food. Her stomach growling to further signify her excitement causing her to giggle a bit. She clung lightly to the fabric of his shirt as he made his way down, not entirely liking the idea of falling off. And if she were honest if he fell she was jumping off, well...actually she might be nice and try to save him if need be but that was another story entirely. She only grinned as he pleaded for his companion to slow down, "Don't think that will happen." She commented before shrugging.

When he started apologizing to her about being rude and assuring her nothing bad would happen to her she smiled, "I know, you guys just got confused was all. It happens all the time to dwarves. Believe me, you don't know the half of it." She told him before sighing. If there was one thing she hated about what she was, it was how gullible she was. It never really failed no matter how much she said she was different from the rest, she wasn't really in the slightest. "I'll be sure to tell everyone I went along with you willingly too, don't worry." She added.

Of course it turned out she was wrong about Mac slowing down, at-least to a degree. Or rather, Mac was stopped and flicked into the air by what looked to be a hunter trap. Though it was rather quickly revealed to be her crewmate Seth...who...quickly got himself in his own trap. She face-palmed and groaned, leave it to Seth. Of course, just watching him dangle back and forth yelling for help and speaking of trading her for Mac got her laughing.

Honestly though she was laughing at the both of them, mostly Mac considering how desperately she was trying to keep herself covered. Honestly if it was Keya she would of long let go of the skirt and tried to free herself. Then again this was Keya, where most things didn't entirely matter to her. At Alex's question Keya slowly nodded, "Yup that's my crewmate Seth." She told him. "He...isn't...the smartest person." She explained, trying to put it delicately.

Nevertheless the dwarf girl nodded at his request and leapt from his shoulder to the rope in question, chopping it through in one swift motion with her axe and doing the same with the rope holding Seth up, leading each individual ropes' cargo to hit the ground with a thud. Still clinging to the rope she looked down at Seth, "Seth it's okay, I went with them myself. They aren't bad people really, they just got confused." She assured him. She then looked between Alex and Mac, "I think it's best you guys explain, and don't worry about Seth, he's a big old teddy." She told them. Well...if teddy's were half psychotic.

Mac let out a loud shriek as she came crashing to the ground.  She didn't get injured but none the less she didn't like the rough landing.  "Ow!  Who leaves traps like that just laying around!?"  she shouted as she stood and dusted herself off.

"That would be me!" Seth also got up, but didn't mind the dirt that was smeared on his face. Confused children, eh? That was exactly up Seth's street. "Sétanta Igramo'El, professional booby trapper, slayer of bell towers and jada, jada, jada. Can't say I'm that pleased to meet you, but if Keya thinks you're cool then so do I."

Alex who by now had made it to Mac's side smiled brightly glad to see that his friend was down.  Looking over at the newcomer he gave a one over before smiling at him as well.  "You dont' look like much a teddy, but if she says so I guess you are okay."

"If you want to meet a teddy, you should meet Panda-sensei. He looks tough, but he is actually soft to the core. I am too crazy to be a teddy bear. If I were a children’s toy I would probably be more like a very hyper spinning top with flashy colors and stuff."

Mac looked at Alex and glared at him.  "He's still the enemy you can't tell him anything got it?"

"But...she said he was okay, fine, not a problem...."

"So? She's the hostage!  You can't trust her!"

"Indeed, are you sure you want to trust her? She already lied about me being a teddy. I mean ... obviously I am much more badass. You should trust me instead." Seth felt completely ignored.

"She helped you, and she said she’s here because she wants to be."

"hmm she did help....... Fine!  You can tell him a little bit about our mission."

"Um okay, I don't know what a little bit is though."

"Still here, for if you wish to ignore me some more."

"Oh...um.... Like two sentences no more. That should be enough!"

"Shouldn't you explain it then...I might not say enough or I might say too much."

"Shhh as your leader I know you got this."

"Um...Okay."  Alex now looking at Seth as he fumbled with his hands.  "Leader, toad and I thought your guys were the bad guys.  So we fired at your ship and took your friend, though Keya seems really nice so I don't think you are the bad guys anymore...or I hope you aren't."

Mac gave a nod of approval of what Alex had said before she turned her head away from the group.  "There you go a quick summary.  Now! If you'll excuse us we need to take the hostage back to HQ."

"Quick summary?!" Seth shouted in an overly exaggerated annoyed voice. "Those were the longest to sentences I ever heard. Honestly, you lost me at bad guys. Young lady, maybe you, as Leader, should entrust the summary thing to someone less boring. When we get to HQ you should let me do the talking. I was a lawyer once, you know? I might even be able to get more out of it than your crewmate. If we play their buttons exactly right that is." He was not sure whether they pretended not to hear them or if he suddenly had become mute. Or psychic and sending at a different frequency. That would be cool. Or... His thoughts were already lost as he waited for a reply.

Mac looked back at Seth ignoring the part about the boring summary.  "Our lawyer.....but aren't you part of their crew??"

"Did you just assume my loyalty?! Justice knows no labels, apart from right and wrong of course. Do you need my help or not? If you do, you have to trust me in this. Are we in this together or not? You've got to tell me right now!"

Mac blinked numerous times all in confusion as she listened to the other.  She glanced at Alex for a moment who shrugged in response before looking back at Seth.  Placing a hand on her chin she closed her eyes and thought about it.  "......... Okay!  Fine!  We can be in this together!  But I'm still the leader in all of this!"

Keya only grinned at the mild amount of chaos that happened after she cut the both of them down. As she said she stayed silent aside from giggling here and there while Seth and the others conversed about the current situation. She found Seth's analogy about what he was fairly amusing, though she had simply meant he was kind was all. What confused her was when Seth started babbling about being a lawyer and defending them against the crew. She sighed and swung off the rope onto her new 'leaders' shoulder. "This can only end badly.." She said, mostly to herself.

"Alright then, c'mon. Seth isn't going to rip off the crew just standing around." She said with an amused smile.

Mac gave a proud nod of agreement. "Fine, this to HQ."  She said with a grin as she lead the way out of the forest and back to the village, with Alex following quietly behind.

Sora Z lachance

Sora was standing in front of his desk double checking his notes on the inventory when Syrin walked to his door and started to speak to him.  Looking up at the other he said nothing as he listened to him.  He kept a calm look the entire time, neither smiling or frowning, though he was disappointed the other still refused to go with them on this journey.  At the mention of doing something with the fruit Sora only raised a brow but still kept his silence as he waited for Syrin to finish his good bye.  Though when it turned out the warning about his fruit was the end of it he gave the other a simple smile.  "I haven't given up on you yet Syrin.  If you are on the island by the time we are leaving, I'm going to ask you again.  Don't worry I won't hound you, I'll ask just one last time.  On a later date."  He said as the other left.

Once he did Sora did a stretch and sighed a bit as he looked up.  "Gods it's hot, I can't wait till we arrive at a fall or winter island.  Guess I should daydream later huh?  Lets go shopping Albi."  After saying this he blinked a few times and looked around to find his white haired friend.  ".....Albi??? Where are you???"   Slightly curious where that white weasel had ran off Sora started to look around the room, checking  under the table, bed chair on the shelves.  Everywhere a weasel could possibly hide he checked yet he couldn't find the fluff that was Albi. "Where did she run off to??"  Confused by the sudden disappearance he shrugged it off, after all Albi always returned to him no matter how far apart they were so she would be back soon enough.  Probably whenever she got hungry.

Now finally done looking and wasting time, Sora left his room and went back onto the main ship where he saw only three people remaining.  Emilie, Markus and Elijah.  "Ah figured everyone would have gone off already."   Closing the door behind him he made his way to the gangplank.  "I'm going to get some things, I need at least one of you to stay on the ship to make sure no one tries to steal it or what not.  Though in a village like this, I doubt that will happen.  Either way! Rather safe than sorry.  If you can't figure out who should stay, just do rock paper scissors."   Give them a small wave he walked down the plank and made his way to the market.  When he got there he was very displeased to see the huge amount of vegetables and the major lack in meat.  There was a single sweet stand along with other stands which had knick knacks on them, however there was absolutely no meat.  "Tell me we didn't arrive at the only vegetarian village in all of the blues."  He mumbled as he looked around.

As he walked he soon came upon the oddly hair colored male who ditched his ship early on, though at least unlike some people he waited till they were docked.  Walking up to him he stopped next to the other and looked at the vendor they were at.  "I want that basket of those apples, just mix the green and red ones up."  He said as he put money on the table before he looked at Zeon.  "We haven't had much of a conversation have we?  You are one of the few that aren't going to keep traveling with us right?"  He asked as he looked back at the vendor.  "I have to make sure, since the last think I want to do is end up ditching someone on an island with no meat..."   After saying this he smiled at the vendor.  "No offense."     The vendor just waved Sora off as he went to fill out the man's order.

Albi

This little creature had been out of Sora's sights for awhile, though she normally rested around the maro/monthly_2016_12/a20104d5c0ba85b2d2f27282fc7af803.jpg.ab4c84ff774a2f87733241459ca7a817.jpgon man's shoulders.  Around now she was off exploring.  Sure Sora could take her to places and the like but he had taken far too long to get moving.  So the moment the gangplank was down she had scurried off to take a look around the place.  You know the normal scouting job and the like, see if there was anything yummy to ear or some nice sights to see.  Alas much to Albi's distastes, not only were there no tiny edible creatures, this place was also so so so boring.  The grass around the place was nice to run around and hide in, might make a good napping spot, however in no way was it fun or entertaining like she had hoped.

The more she explored the more she started to get bored, this place had nothing of interest to her so eventually she made her way back to the ship.  However before she got there her attention was taken by someone passing her.  Who would this person be?  Why it was the one with the chain and knife thing that he spun around a lot.  Okay ya she didn't know his name but she never really paid attention to that stuff.  Humans often looked so alike, the only way to tell the difference half the time was by looking at hair color or going off of smell.  Her brown eyes followed the man as he walked by and she remained in her spot for just a bit.  Debating her options really.

Either A go back to the ship and go to Sora watch him buy things that she wouldn't want.  Or B go with the guy with the shiny chain and see what he was up to.  Who knows with luck he may actually do something fun!  With that thought in mind Albi scurried out of the grass she had been laying in and rushed after Syrin.  Of course its not like she could carry a conversation with the other but still she wanted to hang out with him for the time being.  Mainly because there was no one else around at the moment.

Teri, Alex, & Mac

"Done!  All the toys are finally back in their spot and I don't have to do any more chores!"  Teri said with a cheer relived the work was so easy.  Thought that could be on account that Xiao did basically all the work, Teri did help a littleish.   That!  Is unimportant right now, what is important is the fact the work was done and that meant they could finally get something to eat.  "Now that we are finished come on, if we are lucky maybe I can give you Leaders share since she isnt here yet."  He said with a grin as he made his way to the stairs, however before he made it to the top he saw something out of the corner of his eyes and squinted a bit. "Oh...wait, I think I have to ask for more food, I can see them...and others??? Oh wait, no I know that guy.  He was on the ship with you right?"  He asked Xiao now  turning his atteniton to the panda.

By the time Teri noticed Mac, Alex and the others, the group had arrived at the treeline that was still some distnace away from the house they were heading for.  "This!  Is our HQ grounds! That! Is the actually HQ where a bunch of other people live as well, but ignore them, they have their own special jobs....and they are boring."  Mac exclaimed as she pointed at the building right ahead with pride as she evidently rather like that place.

"Oh...um.. Leader look."  Alex said softly as he tugged on her sleeve. "I don't think we have to do those negotiations um...I see Toad over there."

"Huh???"  Blinking a few times Mac looked at the building with suprise though not beceause Toad was there rather her concentration was taken becuase of the walking Panda.  "Is that.....Woah!  Its a Bear!  It one of those walking bears you see in the story books that are in the circus!!!"  Suprise and light glee in the girls tone as she walked a bit faster to the house since she totally wantedd to meet the Panda.   "I guess not all of them wear pink tutus... Doesn't matter!  Its a walking bear!!!"

"Now that I think about it.  Um....Don't you think he was on the ship that came here today?"

At this Mac looked at Alex with shock.  "You think so?! Wait...So that means the talking bear is the enemy!  Which means he's probably hear to kidnap everyone from HQ!!!"

"U-Um l-leader I didn't mean that, you misunderstood, you didn't get the information right, um I don't think he's an enemy I mean he hasn't eaten anyone.  Don't bears eat people???"

"He's waiting, I bet thats the case wanted to get as much food as possible probably forced Toad to show him the way."

"Um...Are you sure?  Toad doesn't seem scared.........at all."

"Of course I'm sure! Since when have I been wrong???"

"This mor-"

"Don't actually answer that idoit!"

"Oh...sorry um ya I think he's not bad I mean look, Toad is just talking to him."

"Uh huh... I say we proceed with complete caution."

Alex shrugged and looked behind him at Seth.  "Didn't you say something about a panda? That guy is your friend right??"  He asked as the group appraoched the homestead.

Along the edges of the forest the trees are spaced apart, heavy leaves on the ground and has a nice setting.

However after you go a mile in either from the village or from the any edge of the forest there is a large chain link fense surrounding the area, one that is easily climbable

On the fence is a sign alerting of the following dangersQuick sand, sudden drops, dangerous predators, no one but experienced hunters are allowed be wary of traps set by pervious hunters

Once you pass the fence you enter a jungle like area a different setting then the woods from before.

The change is rather sudden, trees are closer together it is far humid (making the tempatures feel even hotter then they already do in the village and woods almost 100F)

There are several rivers in these jungles and the area is huge place to explore, the dangers are still out ther.

Execpt one thing to be completely noted about both the forest and Jungle....... Its dead silent.  No animals, not even a circket are making a noise.  Rather the only sound is that of the leaves being blown in the wind.

Syrin & Albi

Collaborative post with @Exanis

Syrin paused his leisurely pace at the sound of something scurrying towards him. Blinking once he looked over his shoulder, and lo and behold, Albi was running towards him. Turning around completely, he crouched down and stared at the small animal for a moment, seemingly in thought. Sighing under his breath, he extended a hand towards her in an obvious offer for her to climb on.

The white fluffy ferret stopped short of Syrins hand and looked at for a moment before looking up at the man himself.  She tilted her head once again thinking about what she would rather do.  However it didn't take long for her to straighten her self and dash up the others arm.  As intresting as it was to see things from the ground, it certainly was far more entertianing to see things at the height of most humans.  The view most of the time was enjoyable, besides if anything caught her attention she could scurry off at a moments notice.

Once he was sure that Albi was in place and stable, Syrin continued on his way, absently pondering on what his next move should be. He remembered talking with one of his usual job contacts about something weird happening in this section of the sea, but he didn't pay too much attention, mainly because there were no jobs that were worth doing at the time, and thus not his problem. Though, he could have sworn this island exported various meats, which would make sense, what with the large jungle that was around. So why was it that there we no merchant ships coming and going, with meat being something that no one on the sea could get enough off and all. Running a hand through his hair, while making sure not to disturb Albi of course, he let out a tired sigh. To him, this whole situation stunk of either malignant pirate or marine involvement, and he honsetly wasn't sure which one was worse. If it was a malignant pirate, his chances of convincing them to get him a ride off this island could very well be slim depending on whom they are and if he messed with them before. But if it was Marines then he was essentially duty bound to ensure that everything they were doing was put to an end. Withholdng a groan, he glanced over at Albi with a bemused smile. "What are your thoughts on exploring the jungle around this island in search of clues to whether this place is under the tyranny of pirates or marines?"

Albi who was simply laying on Syrin's shoulders much like a scarf perked her head up when he looked at her and started to speak to her.  Not making a move she was obviously listening, though her human vocabulary wasn't strong...at all.  Words were certainly coming out of the others mouth and as she tried to dechipher the confusing sounds she tilted her head in question.  After a few moments however she was able to piece together the words, explore...annnnd that was about it.   She knew for a fact what explore meant after all she heard Sora say it so many times that it was hard not to know what it meant.  It meant fun, and being who she is.  She loved fun!   Her ears were up and there seemed to be exictment as she moved a bit so her forepaws were now on Syrins shoulder rather than just dangling over them.

Syrin chuckled lowly and nodded. "I'll take that as an okay."

Albi only nodded at this assuming that it was a time for a nod, she didn't really know.  Human language could get confusing.  Her attention however was taken away from Syrin when she heard footsteps to the side of them that were getting closer.  No sooner did she look over to the sound of the steps did both hers and Syrins ears get hit with something loud.

yancy__remastered_by_kawacy-d9utgme.jpg"ITS SO CUTE!!!!"  A high pitched girly scream exclaimed in pure joy as a young woman dashed over to them.  A broad smile on her face, her eyes locked on their target, which so happened to be the small animal on Syrins shoulders. The woman had pink shoulder length hair, a white blouse with a light blue under shirt and matching pants.  Her arms were outstretched as she wanted nothing more than to snatch up Albi and just hug it~

Albi who was taken by complete surprise by the woman jumped and moved over to the shoulder that was furthest from her.

"NO! DON'T RUN! GODS COME HERE! PLEEEASE~~~"  The woman exclaimed focused soley on Albi showing zero recgonition of the other man that was present.

Syrin tried to hold in the sigh trying to escape him, he really did. But the slightest exhale of wind still escaped him. Giving the woman a blank, and fairly frigid, stare, he made his presence known. "Ma'am. Please don't attempt to touch her with express permission from me or her. I would truly hate for you to get hurt due to a misunderstanding." Though his words were polite, the way there were spoken somehow made them seem mildly condecending.

The woman stopped mid step and blinked a few times as she looked over at him.  ".....When did you get there?"  She asked with geniune confusion having now just noticed the guy.  Taking in a deep breath she calmed her excitement and let her hands fall to the side.  "Whatever~ Is that ferret yours?  Its just so cute~ Its cuter than any of the other animals that used to run around here~ Can I pet her, or hold her????"  She asked hopefully as her hands were now closed and in front of her chin as she anticpated Syrins response.  "Plleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?"

Syrin raised an eyebrow and looked at Albi. "She wants to hold you. Your thoughts?"

Albi again tilted her head to the side and blinked several times as she tried to figure out what he siad.  Once again the only word she got was hold.  Looking at Syrin to the woman she moved over to the other just a bit and sniffed the air trying to see if she could figure out who she was just by the smell.  After a few moments of just sniffing she stepped closer to the woman and a bit closer almost falling off of the others shoudler as she ran out of walk room.

"Is that a yes~ Please say thats a yes!  She is just adorable!  No leash or collar either did you train her not to run off or anything!?  Have I mentioned she is just so freaken cute!?"

Syrin extended the arm of the shoulder that Albi was on to give her more walk way and stared at the woman through half lidded eyes. "It's a yes if she comes to you. She comes and goes as she pleases, for she has no master, but is lord to us all. Now in return for being graced with the honor of holding Her Highness, I would like you to answer some questions for me, specifically regarding the animals that have disappeared from around here." Once again, contrary to the words he said, the way they were spoken easily conveyed Syrin's wry amusement at the situation that he was put in. To think, he wouldn't have had to deal with this if he just let Albi go on her own. Granted, Albi might have then been ambushed by this woman and he asumed Sora wouldn't be too happy about that. The things he did for people sometimes...

Due to the complete focus the woman had on the animal she didn't catch any tone that Syrin conveyed, honestly only a few of his words hit her ears.  She just starred unblinking at Albi waiting not so patiently for the animal to come to her.  Her paitence didn't last long at all.  When Albi was only half way across Syrins arm, the woman snatched Albi up and brought her close in a hug letting out a small squeal of happiness when she did so despite the shock she gave Albi.  Hugging her close she spun a bit as well. "Not only are you cute! But you are soft as well!  Amazing!  You aren't biting or scratching!!!"  Her thrill was through the roof as she now rubbed her cheek against the small animal who had calmed down from the shock and just looked at the woman confused.

Once she got her fill of spinning and squealing she calmed down enough to just hug Albi as she looked at Syrin.  "Sorry did you say something?  What's her name?"  She asked with a small hum and a broad smile still on her face.

He didn't even bother holding in the sigh that time. "The animals on this island. Where did they go?"

The woman looked at Albi hummed a bit.  "You have a name right?  It has to be something about your perfect coat~ Like....hmm Snow or something.  Your name has to have something to do with snow~"  After saying this she gave Albi another squeeze her eyes then going back to Syrin.  "Huh still here?  Oh...right you had a question didn't you?"  She then looked back at Albi in silence for a moment before something seemed to click.  "The animals!  That's what he asked isn't it~I was so focused on your pretty self I forgot for a moment~"

Giggling a bit she once again looked back at Syrin.  "You are one of the ones that just arrived weren't you, duh if you don't know.  Anyway the animals are fine~ They probably just mirgated or something like that, I'm sure it happens all the time~"  She hummed before going back to hugging the life out of Albi who was getting increasingly more uncomfortbale by the constant hugs.

Syrin, to say the least, was not amused. "You're telling me that an island who's main export is meat, which comes from animals if you weren't aware of that little fact, suddenly has no source for their export, and your reasoning behind it is that they migrated? Not only is it not the season for that, but how in the nine hells do land animals migrate? I will ask you one more time, and I expect a clear answer. What. Happened. To. The. Animals?"

At this the woman puffed out a cheek as she kept looking at Syrin.  "Its fall time, animals mirgrate around then sometimes." She protested her grip getting a bit tighter on Albi.  "Its not like I'm one of the hunters that went into the forest, they said the animals mirgrated so I guess they did."  Letting out a small hmph sound she turned her head to look back at Albi.  "Your friend is a rude one, acting like he knows a thing about animals.  I bet the only thing he knows is how to eat them~You look a bit hungry should I take you to the village to get something to eat?" Of course this question was only directed at the small animal in her arms.

That caused Syrin to pause as his mind went into overdrive. Even if it was fall, the position and geographical nature of the island would still be habitable enough for at least a few avian species to stick around for the winter. Plus, that didn't even include the non-avian species who had no way to get off the island, so they'd either be getting ready for hibernation, or going on their daily lives as usual, which would leave some form of tracks, and even if they didn't, skilled enough hunters could easily find their dens. So if the hunters were lying and saying they migrated then... Well, this more likely than not meant that this was a Marine ploy of some sort, but really? Animals? Shaking his head, he looked back at the woman and Albi, and extended his arm, while giving the woan a look that clearly said to relinquish her hold on the ferret or else. "Time to go Albi, we have work to do."

Albi seeing Syrins arm started to squirm in the woman's grip to return to him.  However the hold the woman had wasn't one that the small animal could easily get out of.  "You're not planning to enter the woods/jungle are you?"  She asked moving her arms to tighten her grip just a bit on Albi, this was beginning to squeeze her but it wasn't enough to cause actual harm, yet.   "You really really shouldn't if thats what you are planning. Especially if you are bringing this cutie with you~"  She siad with a hum as she nuzzled Albi once again.

Syrin narrowed his eyes at the woman, took a breath, thought about Marines and the atrocities that they commited in general, and then allowed some of that hatred and rage to seep into his voice. "I'm going to give you five seconds to let go of Albi before I show you exactly why I don't fear whatever is in that jungle."

This made the woman flinch just a bit before letting out a sigh her grip lossening just enough for Albi to scurry out of her arms and nearly spirt over to Sryin. In mere moments she was residing on the shoudler furtherst from the woman which caused siad woman to pout.

"Hmph, rude.  Either way you shouldn't go to the jungle its a really bad idea on anyones part, even the hunters don't go in there any more."  She warned as she crossed her arms. "But if you are going to go leave the cute animal with me~ Pretty please~!  I know I'll be able to keep her safe from whatever is going on in the jungle!"  Her tone changed from one of distaste to one of interest and joy.

Calming himself down with a quick exhale, Syrin rolled his shoulders and then gave the woman a blank stare coupled with a raised eyebrow. Turning away from he and continuing his towards the jungle, he gently picked Albi off his shoulders and placed her in his hoodie in such a way that she would be comfortable, as well as safe from harm or falling. After triple checking that Albi was, in fact, secure, he picked up his pace towards the jungle, partly to get there as soon as possible, and partly to get Albi as far away from that woman as possible.

The woman stood there and let out a sigh as she watched Syrin run to the forest.  "Why did he have to take the ferret with him, I was just getting to know her." she mumbled with a small sniff before she turned away and headed toward the village.  "I hope nothing bad happen to her, that would be horrible!"  After exclaiming this she glanced behind herself as Syrin ran off.   ".........I hate trouble~"

Cait Merlin

Cait waited quietly as she anticipated for something to jump out at her and Norman in the silent forest. After a couple of minutes that felt like hours, the hybrid fishwoman's brow curved with confusion. It was odd that she didn't see any animals around. She could always spot some sort of critter in the forests back home. Maybe animals were rarer to see on this island. Then again she didn't remember spotting any insects or bugs either, making the absence of nature life even more strange. It was a mystery for sure, but not one Cait prioritized at the moment. She had told Toad that she was going to go on his island tour and he was probably trying to wait for her. Toad was an energetic kid, but maybe the distracting appearance of Xiao and some of her crewmates was keeping him from getting to far in the tour.

Cait looked over at Norman. She had agreed to help him hunt for a while, but now that their conversation about her mother was wrapped up, only her conscience was keeping her in the forest. "I should catch up with Toad and the others; they're expecting me. Sorry I wasn't much help on your hunt. If your not done by the time the tour is, I could come back....if there's even anything to hunt out here," she told him apologetically. As Cait started to walk toward the village she left some advice for Norman. "If you do happen to see my ma out here, have her wait back at the ship for me. It'll be a lot harder for us to miss each other that way."

As Cait made her way through the town, the abundance of brussel sprouts was more of a peripheral oddity as she focused on how the villagers would react to her. She got a lot of glances, but she sensed more curiosity than hostility. It's a rare thing to see a fishman out in the Blues, making a hybrid an even rarer sight. Heck, she was probably the only human/fishman hybrid as far as she knew. She sighed as her mind dwelled on that fact. Why couldn't humans and fishmen get along? She bet the two species could get along if they tried like her parents did. It wasn't her dad's fault that her mom left; though it would have been nice is she had decided to stick around.

Cait perked up at the sound of children voices. She recognized the first voice as Toad's. The other two must have belonged to his friends. A smile crossed her lips as she overhead the friends' banter. "You kids jump to the strangest conclusions," Cait chuckled. She quickly glanced over at Keya, Seth, and Xiao, before looking back at the kids. "I understand if ya think my crew is a little strange. A walking and talking panda, a dwarf, and someone part fishman isn't something ya see everyday on the Blues, but bein' strange doesn't automatically mean that we're gonna eat ya like some kinda boogie man," she added lightheartedly. She flashed Alex and Mac a shark-toothed grin before turning her attention to Teri. "I didn't miss a lot of your tour, did I Toad?"

Keya Fenris

Keya nodded and peacefully rode on Mac's shoulder on the way to their 'HQ' up until Alex spoke up again. She curiously looked to the one they were calling 'Toad' and smiled wide when she saw Xiao. So they were doing their own work of setting things right with these kids, that was definitely good. She giggled audibly as the two shouted back and forth about her massive panda friend and whether or not he was going to eat them all. She out-right laughed when she was called out on being wrong basically by herself. She sighed lightly with a big amused smile on her face when she was spoken to and asked about Xiao. "Yep! That's my buddy panda-man!" She replied cheerfully. "His real name is Xiao...but I like panda-man better." She explained with a giggle.

"He's very kind, he won't hurt you." She assured them. Keya hadn't really known Xiao to hurt anyone, well, unless of course they were bad people. But bad people deserved it, so there. Soon enough Cait walked up to them and spoke, her words causing her to grin. "What if I wanna eat them? I'm starving." She whined. "Just a nibble.." She said, lightly biting into Mac's shirt and laughing more. "Don't worry I'm kidding! You're wayyy to big for me to eat even if I did eat people..which I don't! But still." She said with a shrug.

"Please don't tell panda-sensei that I compared him with a teddy bear." Seth whispered to Mac and Alex. "It would seriously damage our negotiating position." He turned his head towards his crewmates. "Hey Cait, you are just in time for the trial. Though I forgot who it was about again... Oh, and you forgot the strangest thing about the crew, which obviously should be me! And Keya, patience is key. Food comes later." He noticed that he was trailing of again. What was he supposed to do here again. Something with head quarters or something? Right, time for the big finale. Time for a super fast plea, which was sure to convince everyone.

Seth straightened his back. "Speaking about patience: For how much longer are we gonna stand here pretending to be on good terms with each other? I'm bored! Lets just skip to the part of the tour where you show the real purpose of your HQ, breeding laser-shooting sharks for the highest bidders. Once we are in the area the floor will fall away leaving just us four pirates on a small island. You kids reveal that we were actually your prisoners all along and do a maniacal evil laugh. MUHAHAHAHA! but then in high pitched children's voices. Then Cait will reveal that she can speak to sharks, you because ... Hey Cait, can you actually talk with sharks? That would be awesome! Anyways, the sharks just say they want to eat us. They are not even sorry. Then we get an awesome scene with sharks jumping out of the water and us knocking them out with awesome Kung Fu. And then we defuse the time bomb. Oh wait, I forgot to mention there was one didn't I? Well there would be, but we would survive. Just in time for a slow-motion walk away from your headquarters and the the credits. Cait Merlin as Sharknado. Keya Fenris as Death from Below. And..." He noticed the others got lost and were not listening anymore. "but we haven't even gotten to the after credits scene!" he shouted  indignantly. He sat down and started moping in top speed.

They had one him over with their ignorance. Deep in his heart he knew he wouldn't get funding for it. He didn't really care for the negotiations either. "You know what? Never mind those trials, anyone who was captured can be free from now on, as long as I get an extra portion of dessert." Yet another succes for the worlds favorite lawyer, Sétanta Igramo'el.

Marcus Gaverenton

and

Elijah Baden

Marcus watched Sora make his way off the ship, and turned to his two fellow companions. He had made little interactions with the girl, Emilie, but the other man, Elijah, had not made a good first impression to him. He was rude, seemingly lazy, and overall just crude in his demeanor. Especially when he had a drink in his hand (though the doctor was unsure where he kept getting them). He had a few good bones in his body, though, as he had assisted in helping him back onto the ship after Toad and his compatriots bombarded their ship earlier. He had also tried to park up some conversation with the man Syrin as well, though that had been a flop.

Walking over to where he had left most of his items, Marcus quickly fixed up his attire. As he tied his bowtie and buttoned up his vest, he turned back to the other two and regarded them both. "I'm not sure about either of you, but I need supplies. I've left everything on Mirstone, save a few vials, so I need to get some ingredients. You two can squabble all you want about who stays here and who goes, but I can't spend much more time here.

Turning to make his way off the ship and to head into town, his eyes froze on Elijah. He was pulling on a white tank-top, one that fit snug against his body. He bent down next to the metal chest he had managed to take with him on the ship and pulled out a pair of gloves. Well, not so much gloves as they were gauntlets. The parts that went over his hands were leather, but there were metal bars that went up and clamped around his forearms, and a circular disk that clamped tightly against his skin. A few wires twisted together made their way from the disk to the leather gloves, and snuck beneath one of the layers of the gloves. He flexed his hands quickly, and before Marcus could question the gear, a few sparks of lightning traveled across his left hand. He gave a content smile as he bent down to quickly tie the laces of his boots.

Marcus, baffled, walked quickly over and stared down at the neanderthal. "You...what do you think you are doing? What the hell are those?" He gestured to the gauntlets.

Eli looked up, then to the contraptions on his arms, and grinned. "A gift. From my sister. A few years back, she gave them to me when I left our island. She learned to be a shiprwright like me, but gave it up and became a florist. Didn't lose that touch of tinkering with objects, though. I keep these around to defend myself. I'm a bit of a boxer, you know." He jokingly jabbed the doctor's leg before laughing, and reached into his box of goodies to retrieve his pistol, the slick little one-shot glistening in the sunlight as he slipped it into the waistband of his pants.

Marcus just shook his head, getting frustrated. "And that? Is that something your florist sister made for you as well? Another deadly weapon?"

Eli stood up, giggling as he patted Marcus on the shoulder. "Calm down, buddy. You can never be to cautious, right? I've never shot a single pullet out of this little beauty here. And I don't think you have the right to talk to me about what I should or shouldn't carry to defend myself. I'm not the one who has numerous chemical weapons on him at all times." He leaned in close to whisper to the blonde. "Which you should let me use sometime to make my own personal weapon..."

"ABSOLUTELY NOT!" Marcus placed a hand on the shipwrights chest, glaring at him. "You're wild and dangerous. I can tell. I've met your type before. This place is peaceful, so I think you'd be best to stay on the ship. Isn't that the job of the shipwright? To protect the ship and fix it if something happens?" Marcus put a lot of emphasis to his last sentence, hoping it would get through the man's thick skull.

Eli just stared at the man, a blank expression plastered onto his face as he looked at the doctor. "...Rrrrriiiight...Welp." Before anyone could say another word, Eli spun in a circle, and jumped over the edge of the Lucky Nova, landing on the deck with a resounding thud, and took off in a vicious sprint, making his way towards the town. Marcus had run over to the edge of the ship, and was gripping the railing hard enough for his knuckles to turn white. "You fucking asshole!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Elijah smiled as he wandered through town. He did not want to be stuck on that ship for much longer with Mr. Grumpy Doctor Man. Anyways, he needed to gather some essentials: a hoard of little nails and screws, planks, alcohol, smokes, some special little tools...was he drooling at all the possible enhancements he could make to Sora's ship? He was sure he was, as a few people were turning to him with confused looks on their face. Eli grabbed the hem of his tank top and wiped his mouth with it, letting it snap back against his skin as he pulled out a list of supplies. He had plenty of money he had salvaged from his ship to get what he needed, as well as a few pieces of jewelry he had looted in Mirstone to sell and make a bit of a profit. Looking it all over, he was sure he still had enough to grab the bitchy doctor some stuff. He grinned, and began his tour of the village.
First thing was first, and that was to get some food in his stomach. Right off the bat, he couldn't smell any meat, which was a big upset in his book. He needed the protein, and always preferred it to the crappy replacements his mother had told him about. So, he settled on grabbing a few fruits and vegetables, and found a man selling some beans that he had heated up and served in a small bowl. He scarfed down his makeshift meal quickly, and discarded it in an alley before returning to his search for supplies. He found a small metal shop selling the nails and screws he needed, and he was pointed in the direction of a woodsmith where he could buy some spare planks. On his way, he picked up some herbs, weird fungi, and other silly little things here and there for the grump.
He was carrying all his accomplishments in a bag he had bought slung across his back, the weight of it comfortable to someone hard-working like himself. As he meandered his way to the woodsmans house, his eyes skimmed the surrounding area, and he stopped. Ahead of him, he noticed a stone house with a group of people in front of it. A few of them were kids, but what really stood out were the panda and fishman in front of the house. He quickly recognized them as the crew of the Lucky Nova, and grinned as he quickly turned to walk in the direction of the building. As he walked over, he could see some of the other crew members more clearly. One was that energetic psycho boy, and the other was the dwarf he mistook at the moment for a kid.
As he got closer, he raised a hand in greeting. "Yo! Fishgirl, Midget, Panda, Crazy! What a surprise seeing you guys here!" There was definite sarcasm in his voice, and he laughed as he got closer. "What's going on here? Wasting some time while the rest of us gather supplies?"
Cait Merlin
Cait smiled at her crew as she enjoyed how playful they were around the kids; She was glad to be a part of a friendly pirate crew. She giggled as Seth concocted a far fetched scenario that sounded like it belonged more in a movie than in real life. "Sorry, I can't talk to sharks. My ma told me talking to fish is more of a mermaid, merman thing. It's a rare trait for a fishman to have," she replied. "Though coincidentally I did name one of my fighting techniques sharknado; it'll be easy to tell why if I have to use it."
Cait heard Elijah call her "fishgirl" before she looked at him. She could have been offended by the term if the man hadn't said it in a friendly way. "The Captain said he had supplies handled, if he needs our help I'm sure he'll give us a holler," she replied with a smile. "Otherwise I'm going to be on the lookout for my ma. Surprisingly Captain Sora turned the search for my ma into an order, so you could help out too, if you wanted," she said to Elijah. "Toad here offered us a tour of the island, which was an offer I couldn't refuse. It wouldn't be good if I got lost searching for my ma. What if the crew needed me? This may be a quiet island, but sometimes unpredictable things happen and not all unpredictabilities are going to be as pleasant as a fisherman reeling in his true love from the sea," she added with a tongue-in-cheek reference to how her parents met.
Norman "The Naturalist" Newman
Norman waved good bye to Cait as she ran off to join up with the others, giving her a thumbs up when she mentioned what to do if he found her mother. After she was gone he bit his lip and put his hands behind his head in thought. Why the heck had he talked about his mom to her like that? It was oddly serious and surprising for him even in his eyes. He shrugged. If he couldn't surprise himself sometimes he'd probably get bored even more often than he already did. Humming himself a tune he turned to stalk off deeper into the forest. His eyes darted from bush to tree branch to the forest floor with unease.
It was odd for the forest to be this still regardless of predatory action. There wasn't just nothing around at the moment, as lack of animal droppings or recently broken branches showed. There hadn't been any animal activity in some time here of any kind and that disturbed him, and also made him a little sad. He liked playing with birds! He was friends with all the birds back on his home island! He liked squawking at baby birds especially, or playing keep away with the hunting and messenger hawks. He quickly scaled a tree to check for nests or any birds hiding in the higher branches cut wasn't successful in finding anything of the sort.
He hung upside-down from the branches with a sad frown and gave the forest a once over from high above. While he didn't see any animals he did see the odd glint of what looked like metal a short distance away. He let himself drop down a few branches at a time to the forest floor. He dashed through the trees in the direction of the glint. Upon arriving he found himself surprised to see a chain link fence extending out in both directions as far as he could see. How the heck didn't he notice before? Eh whatever. He picked up a big rock and threw it at the fence. When it hit the metal it simply made a clanging noise and bounced off safely. "Cool, not electrified!"
Norman followed these actions by scaling the fence in what had to be record time! At least he was silently betting it was! He failed utterly to noticed the warning sign on the fence and instead curiously bounded off into the deeper forest, which now appeared more jungle like in his opinion! It took not even two minutes into the jungle for Norman to find trouble. Unfortunately in his opinion, it was not animal based trouble. The jungle seemed just as deserted as the less dense forest. He crossed "migration habits" off his mental explanations list with a sad sigh.
However his sad sigh was cut short when the ground gave way beneath him and he began to fall into a pit trap. He immediately spread out his arm and legs to try and catch himself on the side, but found the pit was too wide. Thankfully his hand simply caught a root in the wall of the pit and he swung safely into the wall, face first. His only verbal reply to all that happened was "GACK" as he ate a bit of pit dirt. However as he looked down he counted himself lucky that was all he ate. The bottom of the pit was filled with stakes of varying widths and pointiness.
He made a disgusted face at the dried bloodstains that had to be weeks old at least, before promptly climbing out of the pit. So it appeared there had been animals within the last few weeks at least, unless that was human blood. He'd have to remember that spike pit trap for later in case he needed it. Note to himself though, make sure the walls were too smooth and clear of handholds so people that fall in can't save themselves. Also, destroy the trap so random people don't kill themselves in it. "Seriously! To think the irresponsible trap keeping of hunters almost killed me, The Great Ninja Cook! Prepastarous!" He snickered at his own dumb food pun and wandered off deeper into the jungle. There had to be someone or something of interest in here, and he'd get himself killed before he gave up looking!
Zeon knew he was saved, and decided to give his distraction a good look, only to realize that it was actually the captain from the ship he just departed from. Having listened to the captain's statement, he gave one last hopeful look to the market. Turns out he was right..... There truly wasn't a shred of protein in sight. Zeon couldn't ignore that fact as it played a crucial role in his survival if he planned on staying on this island, as he wasn't very found of fruits and vegetables, and sadly..... That was literally all the eyes could see. "No...No we haven't...." His tone of obvious disappointment as his ambition slapped him in the face.
Sora looked at Zeon noticing the disappointment in his tone, though he wasn't sure why it was there.  Possibly from the lack of meat?  Which would make sense, honestly how any place lived without meat wasn't something that seemed possible.  Yes there were vegetarians and vegans out there, but still meat.  "Don't worry I'm not here to bother you, just came to get some food before getting even more stuff."   Sora stated before looking at the vendor.  "No bruised ones, i don't like soft apples."   Only getting a grunt in response the maroon hair man shrugged and looked back at Zeon.  "You didn't answer my earlier question though, are you one of the ones staying behind?"
Zeon returned his look, as the question echoed throughout his mind. Followed more questions, and more questions. And more questions.... For the first time in years he felt worried about survival. Half of the questions that clouded up never even crossed his mind till the one the captain asked hit him. Long story short he knew he was screwed. 'Should I really sail with pirates after all the crap i've learned and witnessed?  Is staying here even any better? What about avenging all those lives and facing the world government? What about-- He facepalmed himself. "I need time to think..." It wasn't a response he ever thought he'd tell a pirate captain but what the hell right? It was not like he could figure out his situation in one go anyway.
"Understandable, we'll probably be here for a day or two just let me know before we set sail.  Be kinda late if you tell me you want to join after we've left port."  Sora said with a light laugh before looking around and letting out a sigh.  "Okay ya, I cant ignore it, I tired really.  However this is just bugging me."
His eyes now going to the vendor.  "Why is there no meat here?  I'm fine with people not eating it, I just have a hard time believing that everyone in this village doesn't eat meat.  Shouldn't there be at least one stand that sells it?   Meat isn't the only thing missing but several other things like eggs for one."
The vendor who now sat a basket of apples on the counter let out a sigh.  "Stop ya complaining, we aint got no meat because we aint got no meat.  Dem animals and the like gon else where for a bit so ya got to make due with what we got."  The vendor stated with a roll of his eyes as he held out a hand for the money.
Sora went ahead and checked the apples first wanting to make sure his request was granted before he paid. "I wasn't complaining...just observing."
With enough time from the other two having their transaction, Zeon came to the conclusion of following around the captain for awhile. Rubbing his head from a mini headache he had earlier from thinking too hard, he had finally quelled his mind with the taste of a chocolate bar from his bag. If there was a cure for stress on a physical, mental or spiritual level, it'd definitely be chocolate. "So your name is Sora right?" He just finished the whole bar and took out another, quickly unwrapping it and proceeding to murder it. "Since you'll be around for awhile how bout we 'observe' some more." A bit of insistence on the 'observe' as he took another big bite of the snack.
Sora handed out the coin needed for the apples before taking the basket off the counter.  "That does happen to be my name, seeing as I've yet to change it."  He said as he looked at the vendor for a moment longer before turning his gaze to Zeon.  "Hm? You want to go and explore the island with a pirate captain?"  He asked a light joking tone in his words.  It was made rather clear on the ship that Zeon wasn't the worlds biggest fan when it came to pirates, Sora knew this.  Yes he still offered the guy a chance to join the crew, but hey why not?
"I do need to get more supplies, but I can't deny the fact I'm curious about this island. Animals just going somewhere else?  That's not normal, especially on an island like this."
Zeon stopped chewing when he teased him as they both knew what Zeon's true goal was, and accomplishing it would mean sacrifices; Like roaming a village with an enemy. "This doesn't change anything just so you know." He Continued to enjoy his chocolate bar as he spared the vendor his usual emotionless stare. "So, you said the animals disappeared basically. How'd you confirm that?" Zeon felt that if animals truly disappeared then someone or something would have more info. Although the event itself definitely seemed unnatural and unheard of. Like they migrated to where exactly? To the ocean? He sighed at his dumb thought.
"How we find that?  The hunters of course one day just stopped all together to not go in them jungle to get animals though this was after the animals went all hush on us.  Said something about them not being worth the risk they were gone and the like."
Sora gave the vendor a questioning look.  "They just stopped all of a sudden???"
"Are there wax in ya ears?  That's what I just said innt?"
Ignoring that Sora looked around in silence as he began to think just a bit about this.  "Hunters just stopped hunting?  A craft they spend thier entire lives learning and they all collectively give up?  Not worth the risk?  A hunter's life depending on what they hunt is full of risk.."
Checking his bag, he made sure to remeber how much bars were left and how long til he needed a refill. Then it hit him. "Very important question for ya sir, do you guys sell these?" He ardently showcased the chocolate. If there was one thing the island could provide since it hadn't any protein.... It should be chocolate, or a--nope it must be chocolate.
"Sweets?  Ya we got em here, what you take us for savages?"  He then pointed to the middle of the town.  "Ya see that big stone builden there, that's the mayor place and what not.  You go right across from it and there you go, a sweets place.  Only one in the village."
Sora who was still in his thoughts wasn't paying attention to this as he kept mumbling a bit to himself in a soft tone.
"Now take ya friend there and shoo, I got customers and you and your mumbling guy is going ta scare them away."
Zeon stared at the building for a moment as his eyes walked across to spot the sweets shop. Drool ran down the side of his mouth as the thoughts of a meatless island scared his stomach empty. "Thank you my good sir, enjoy your day and it was nice meeting ya." And with a polite bow to the vendor, he grabbed Sora by the arm and fast walked towards the place he was directed towards.
Sora followed along letting the other pull him, the apples in hand while he remained silent as he just let his mind go on a rampage in the think department.
Xiao Bamboo- Fluffy, But Definetly Not A Teddy Bear
Ghost Walk!
Xiao blitzed towards the group formed of some kids and a part of his crew. He appeared in front of them incredibly fast, giving the impression that he teleported. He analyzed the kids carefully. They seemed like a very adventurous bunch, something which amused him. They all looked like they were doing serious business,and it was hard for the panda-man not to mess with them a little. But before that...
"Keya, glad to see you're alright! Seth, glad to see I don't have to pawnch you! Elijah, I know next-to-nothing about you, but I am still glad to see you. Also I belive that nothing is a waste of time as long as you learn something new. Cait..." Xiao paused and became more serious "I didn't say this to you before because I didn't want to be half-hearted about it. It is an extremely serious subject after all, and I needed to ponder about it. I have my own hopes and ambitions, and I want to prioritize those. On the other paw, if it is within my ability to do it, I will help you find your mother" he said that out of the blue, smiling at Cait. Xiao was very sincere. He didn't sugarcoat his words, and he spoke up whenever he felt that he had to say something, regardless if it seemed sudden or not.
It didn't take long for the panda to return to his usual chill self. Xiao shifted his attention back at the kids. He smiled, revealing his sharp teeth. "So, young ones...are you brave warriors of the sea as well?" he asked, acting as if he was very serious about it, taking an imposing posture. In the end, he really couldn't resist. The panda-man really wanted to mess a little with the kids.
Teri, Alex, & Mac
Teri's attention turned from the group that was had arrived and brought it to Cait who spoke to him. A broad grin went on his face when he noticed the fishwoman/human had arrived.  "Well you guys aint the bad guys, so I don't think there's any reason to be scared of you or anyone in your crew. Even if they are odd"  He stated confidently as he puffed up his chest in pride showing he wasn't scared of the crew even though he didn't know any of them.  If Cait was a member as well as Xiao then the rest of the group must be just as amazing, even if they are a bit weird looking/acting.  "I didn't really give much of a tour here, Xiao teleported me here before I could, so I think I'll give one later if we have time."  He stated before turning his attention to the group with Mac and Alex.
Panda man huh, he doesn't look too tough I bet I could take him.  That nice thing might be a cover so Alex stay on guard."  Mac whispered to her friend who in return gave her a questioning look.
"But, they said he is friendl-"  Before he finished his sentence he looked over at Keya with a slightly worried expression as she mentioned eating people, however much to his relief she clarified she was only joking.  "That's good, I doubt, don't believe, don't find it convincing that people taste yummy, I don't want to try it either."
"Of course you don't want to try it that's nasty! Look Alex pay attention, we are approaching enemies."
"B-But."
"Shhh."
"Um...Okay."
Mac looked at Seth for a moment and nodded at what he said.  The last thing they wanted was a disadvantage when it came to any kind of negotiations.  "Got it." She whispered back while Alex just gave a nod not really listening as he looked up at Cait with wide eyes.
"You....have fins?"  He said softly in awe.  "D-Did you eat too much fish????"
At this Teri looked over at Alex with confusion.  "What???"
"Rosa says we become what we eat, consume, devour...she has fins.  So she ate too much fish, right??"
Teri was about to respond to that, however his attention was taken awake when Seth started to speak, however not even half way through the rambling Teri was completely lost.  Alex was also lost as he tired to understand where the laser shooting sharks came in.  Mac on the other hand nodded through out the entire thing, in interest.  She listened to every single word that came from the other to the very end.   When he was done however she puffed out a cheek not content with the results.
"What if I want the extra dessert?  We don't get a lot of that, I'll free the prisoners under the condition I get more desert as well."  Mac stated as she crossed her arms over her chest.
Alex looked at Mac still confused as to how sharks lead to extra dessert but he knew he wanted in on that.  "I...um...would like extra dessert to."
"Sorry Alex, but you can't, as leader I get to have the extra dessert."
"That isn't fair, besides you forgot to do your chores, I bet you won't get any dessert."  Teri teased as he grinned happily, though he may not get any dessert either which would be a damn shame.  When another voice rang through his ears Teri quickly turned his attention to the approaching man.  "Another one??"  He asked surprised at how crowded it was. First there was just Xiao but now four others, not including Alex and Mac had joined in.  "Oh boy, I hope there are a lot of left overs."
"You are a fishman!?"  Alex exclaimed in surprise as he listened to Cait speak.  "I haven't heard much about your kind, but are you suppose to live super deep in the water?"
"No you dope, I mean yes she is a fishman.  But she is one of the pirates so she isn't suppose to be underwater all the time like the rest are usually at."
"Gods!  What is with all the noil-"  At this time Sam exited the house again and looked out onto the porch in silence.  "...........................Teri, Alex, Mac.... Why are there more strangers on our porch?"
Mac stepped forward and smiled.  "These people were my hostages, however because I get extra dessert I let them all go free.  But they are hungry now, so they didn't run off."  She said confidently as she started to walk in.
"What?  First you aren't getting dessert you skipped on chores and that didn't explain who these people are."
"They are friends, and we invited them for dinner.  Actually I was suppose to give out a tour. But I want to eat first.  Rosa taught me manners so I have to invite them for dinner." /monthly_2017_01/d77883996c489d60b140b7059d7cdc6a.jpg.58d07cb4f8ad06f8fe63f6feabdc91b0.jpg
"....................................................Rosa is going to ground every single one of you."
"Nu huh! We are being nice, good, behaving!  She shouldn't get mad at all.  Please Sam can they come in and have some dinner with us."
Sam looked at Alex before letting out a sigh.  "I'll get the extra plates." she muttered before going into the house.  "But you can't come in the kitchen no room so you guys got to be in the living room!"
"Okay!"  Mac shouted before standing at the door way with her hands on her hips.  "Well then! People who's names I haven't learned or forgot!  Welcome to the hideout of the Righteous and Fun Animal Protectors! R.F.A.P for short!" She then looked at Xiao with a smirk on her face.  "Brave warriors of the sea have nothing on us!  We are so brave and super and all of that, that not even Brave Warriors are as great as us!!"  She exclaimed with a proud grin before turning on her heels and walking into the home with her hand held high, obviously very proud.
"I still think that name is silly."  Teri mumbled before looking at the group.  "Sam might be a little mean but you can come on in, the living room is to the right after you enter.  Once we are done eating I promise to take you on a tour."  Teri stated confidently as he to went inside the house and headed to the designated room.
"Um, I'm not sure if I'm really brave, but maybe just a bit, a portion, a fraction brave...y-ya some in, I mean come in, enter, go over the threshold." Alex said with a small smile before he too rushed into the house to go with the others.
c2cf2c468b80742cfb2775c3ab913d15.jpg"Mother tucking hot arse, this place is an inferno."  Muttered a woman who was up high in the trees on a lookout made of wood and out of plain sight.   A spot used for hunters averagely but was now being occupied by a sole woman.  This woman had a rifle sticking out the window her eye on the scope, her finger on the trigger safety, while her free hand waved a fan to attempt and cool her off.  "Go to the look out post, there might be some people sticking their Gamn nose were it don't belong. Ha, jackarses just wanted me to cook in this heat."   Pushing a long strand of golden hair out of her eyes she surveyed the area through the spoke.  After what felt like hours of silence she heard the sound of leafs crumbling and then suddenly a sound of a person falling.  Moving her eyes from the scope she looked over her shoulder and sighed.  "Some poor sod must have fallen in the pit, or one of the other traps around here.  Told Daniel he put too many around her."
With a sigh she wiped some sweat off her brow and placed her eye back behind the scope to survey the land once more.  In the distance far off really she could have sworn she saw someone run by.  Adjusting her scope she was about to take a closer look however before she could get back in position a voice entered her ears making her jump.  'What??' Confused by this sound she moved her rifle away from her initial spot and moved to one of the other windows that faced the jungle.  It took her only a moment to see Norman who stood were a triggered trap lay.  'He didn't die???'  She thought in shock before wiping more sweat off her brow.   She remained in her spot for a moment and got her rifle up ready to shoot Norman, but she stopped herself from pulling the trigger.
After a moment of consideration she decided killing the unknown man wasn't in her best interest, at the same time she knew she couldn't leave him be.  Staying silent a bit longer she slung her rifle onto her back and with that moved to the exit of the lookout and quickly went down the ladder.  The moment her feet hit the ground a loud crunch gave way, letting anyone who was listening learn of the new presence.  "Hey!  What ya doing here!? Don't ya know its off limits to people!?"  She shouted at Norman though anyone within the vincinty could hear.
Marcus gripped the railing of the Lucky Nova, his nostrils flaring as he looked out over the tiny village. He wasn't angry that he was on the ship, or that he had been left with limited supplies. Or maybe the latter was a small part of the problem. He was more frustrated at the builder boy had just up and left without taking the time to discuss who stayed and who left.
With a loud exhale of breath, he pushed back off the railing and began pacing along the deck of the ship. "That asshole! The utter fucking nerve of someone like him, to just up and leave, instead of have a civilized fucking conversation with me. He's just another one of those asshole pirates who think's nothing of others and does whatever he wants! I don't see how he'll fit on this ship if he doesn't fix his act up. What a jackass." Marcus spotted the chest that Elijah was always carrying around with him, and briskly walked over to it. He looked at it for a moment before swiftly kicking it, a thud booming from the impact. Marcus stood there, his foot still against the wood, frustration etched onto his face.
Then, with a yelp, he jumped back, holding his foot. "Holy shit! What the hell is in this thing? It must way a hundred pounds!" Hobbling back over to it, he gripped the handles on either sides and attempted to lift it. But to no avail, it didn't budge, and didn't even make it a centimeter off the ground. Marcus gave up before he threw his back out, and scowled at it. "Gotta hand it to him, though. He must have some wicked strength to lift this thing."
Marcus sighed, walking back over to his items. He knelt down and began to pick up a few items he felt were necessary: his notebook and pen, a few vials, a pair of gloves, his glasses. He riffled through his doctor's coat, and grabbed two of his syringes. He debated taking them with him, but the island seemed quiet enough. He doubted he would need two, so he took placed one back in it's holder in his coat and placed the other one in his vest pocket carefully.
As he stood back up, he began to make his way to the plank of wood that led down to the dock, and turned to the other member of the ship. "I'm going to go find that asshole and give him a piece of my mind! I shouldn't be long. Ciao." With that, he made his way down to the dock and sauntered towards town.
As he walked through the quiet streets, he noticed the vendors selling various fruits and vegetables, though namely brussel sprouts lay in baskets for people to buy. Marcus remembered the time when he and some other students from Corpius Rise had placed brussel sprouts in one of the more...rude students food. This particular student despised brussel sprouts, so he and the other kids had cut it up in a way so that it looked inconspicuous within the boys soup. Marcus had spent the rest of that day hiding in the teachers lounge with his father.
Marcus began to purchase assortments of foods and other items. He bought some brussel sprouts, and asked for them to be steamed, and as he walked around buying fungi nd herbs from other vendors, he would eat them occasionally. He knew they were healthy, and he typically preferred vegetables and fruit to meat or whatnot. He was sure on any other island, he would get strange looks from eating brussel sprouts with his hands down the street, but not many people seemed to mind it here. He took that as a mental note for later.
As he walked through town, his eyes came upon a sweets shop. He scowled at it, not a large fan for sweets. He had lost his appetite for them after he saw a candy shop ship come to Mirstone during his time there. The smell of it mixing with his work made him uneasy and sickly, so he had shut down his work for the duration they were there. Since then, he had felt disgusted at them, except for when he would celebrate his birthday at one of the bars in Mirstone and some of the villagers would make him a tiny cake. That was the only thing he could handle.
He was about to take off and look for more ingredients when he noticed a familiar face. It was Captain Sora being dragged along by...someone else Marcus could not remember. He thought he remembered seeing them on the ship earlier, but now he could not place a name to his face. Marcus quickly approached them, making sure to catch them before they entered the store. He raised his free hand, as the other one was carrying a couple bags with various goods in them. "Hey! Captain! You're letting someone drag you around, you know?!"
Cait Merlin
A smile crossed Cait's lips as she listened to the children. She wanted to interject after Alex thought that she was part fish because she had ate a lot of fish, but the fast pace of the childrens' bickering didn't really give her an opening; but Teri/Toad later set him straight that she was actually a fishwoman. Cait continued to listen to the children and was initially surprised by Sam's arrival. She had assumed that the porch she was standing on belonged to a house, but judging by the conversation, it sounded like this was more of an orphanage.
Cait glanced back at the children, the sparkles of happiness now gone from her eyes. She wasn't an orphan per say, but she did understand what it was like to not have a mom. She started to take her guitar case off her back and was intending to open it up, grab the whiskey inside, and drink away her sorrows (despite the bad example it would be for the kids.) Xiao's seemingly out-of-no-where offer surprised her enough to stop her dead in her tracks. Life returned to her eyes and a smile reappeared on her face as she put the guitar case back over her shoulder. "Thanks Xiao. I appreciate that," she replied with a smile. The offer of supper caused her attention to swiftly turn back to Sam and the kids. She gave Sam an understanding, sorry-for-the-bother facial expression before joining the children in the living room.
Cait sat down on one corner of a couch and leaned her guitar case against the armrest. "Yep, I'm a fishwoman; partially anyway," Cait said to Alex, going back to one of his previous questions. "My da is a human and my ma is a tiger shark fishwoman. My da ended up accidentally catching her in one of his fisherman nets years ago, though that's all of the story you may want to hear. It gets mushy later...and...sad...," Cait sighed. She wished she hadn't mentioned it. She didn't want to put a damper on the mood, not to mention child-like curiosity wasn't usually easily quieted. She'd need to change the subject to something more exciting, like pirates.
"Maybe your organisation is better than brave warriors of the sea, but I bet you guys still have questions about what a pirate's life is like," Cait said with a shark toothed grin. "This may be the only opportunity to ask another pirate first hand. There's no guarantee that the next batch of pirates will be as friendly as us." She may be bluffing about being able to answer all of their pirate-y questions, but she was probably right about the odds of another friendly pirate group stopping on the island. Hopefully her knowledge of the sea from her fisherman days would be enough to get her through the children's questions, but the kids would probably believe any entertaining story.
'What is up with this island? Hunters giving up on their job?  Why?  The fact they have hunters proves that this island isn't vegetarian only.  I should've asked that guy how long ago they decided to stop doing their jobs.  That information might have been useful.  Did the town just collectively decide to stop eating all meat?  Its a possibility.   Then why did the vendor say not worth the risk?  That must mean the hunters stopped doing their job because of another reason other than wanting to go vegetarian. One reason I coul-'  Sora could have gone on thinking for who knows how long, had a familiar voice not  snapped him out of his own mind.
Jerking his head up and looking around in slight confusion, his eyes landed on Marcus.  He heard the words the other had said but didn't fully registered them right away.  "What?"  He asked as he now looked over at Zeon who was in fact pulling him along.  Then glancing up and seeing the sweets shop, he put two and two together and figured out his destination.  "Oh, when did we get here?"   A bit of surprise was in his words as he adjusting his grip on the basket of fruit so it was steady in just one hand.  No longer holding the basket with both hands he was able to easily slip his arm out of Zeon's grip.  "Well looks like I got lost in my thoughts, don't worry it happens."  He stated with a simple smile before looking over at Marcus once again.  Seeing the other having several groceries in his arm he could only assume that Marcus had gotten some shopping in since Sora had left the ship.  Though if he got everything he needed or not, Sora wasn't sure as he had yet to see how much trade the village had to offer.  So of course being the captain he is he figured he might as well ask to make sure the doctor of the crew had what he needed.  "Did you find the things you needed in the market?"
Marcus held up the bags. "I found a few things I want to experiment with. Some stuff to make some poultices and ointments for injuries and whatnot. Nothing special, though, which is unfortunate." Marcus looked around him. "I was really looking for that jackass, Elijah. The bastard disappeared when we were trying to decide who would stay at the ship. As a shipwright, isn't that his job?" Marcus shook his head. "Honestly, I doubt he will fit in the crew in any way. Just a recommendation, but don't you think we should find someone else? Someone who will work with us better?"
Marcus turned to look at Zeon, and lifted one eyebrow. "Ah, excuse me. I don't think I've introduced myself yet. I'm Marcus Gavereneton, and..." The doctor looked over to the captain of the Lucky Nova, his mouth twitching slightly before looking back at the Zeon. "I'm guessing I'm the doctor of Sora's pirate crew. You can call me Marcus, Marc, whatever you want. Some people may know me as Doc Mercy of Mirstone." He held his hand out to the man.
Quickly surfing his bag as they had reached their destination, Zeon took out his money pouch. "Hey there pal, i'd like a few fudge bars please." Taking out one he already had, he placed it next to the pouch to give the shop keeper a better idea on what he was talking about. "Like twenty of these." Laying down his request he started spilling all of the money from the pouch onto the counter, it made a mini mountain before the shop keepers eyes. Zeon soon turned to see a familiar face, instantly recognizing him as a part of Sora's crew. He remembered him for deflecting a cannon ball with his legs and for taking care of the young boy from earlier. Closing his eyes, Zeon mentally noted him as another reason why sailing on that particular pirate ship even counted as an option. The man introduced himself, then proceeded to extend his hand out for a handshake. "I'm Zeon Zephyrfield." Accepting the polite gesture, he returned to find his stack of candy bars and empty pouch. Zeon raked them into his bag.
Sora had been silent as the two introduced themselves to each other, mainly because he was contemplating what Marcus had said.  For he wasn't certain what had lead the doctor to believe that Elijah wouldn't be a good fit.  So far the shipwright had proved useful, for instance he did fix the Lucky Nova basically for free after a certain brat had shot a cannon ball through it.  He also had helped out in a fight when pirates tried to steal the ship moment before their escape.  With these all ready known facts in his head it did make it a bit hard to understand why Marcus believed it would be best to find another shipwright.  Then again, the doc hadn't been there when Elijah had done those rather useful deeds.
"So, you don't think Elijah is a good fit huh?"  Sora asked curiously after the other two had finished their introductions. "I don't know about that, so far he has shown he is a great asset.  But hey, I 've only known him for about five days.  Could be a completely different person than I thought he was."  He stated casually.  "As for the whole watching the ship thing, I see your point as he is the shipwright and all.  However having that role doesn't make him the automatic ship watcher unless of course she were injured. Then ya, he better keep his ass on the ship until she is back at 100%.  Right now however she is in perfect health, so I don't mind him walking around. Though, someone is still needs to aboard and watching her.......... Someone is watching her right?"
Marcus nodded to Zeon, accepting the short and curt introduction. He then turned to Sora, and shrugged his shoulders. "Well...yes, the girl, Emilie? Something like that is watching the ship. At least I left her there to watch it. I wasn't sure if she noticed or not, but I'm sure she will realize if someone boards the Lucky Nova. Still, Elijah is just...I don't know. He just doesn't look trustworthy. You've seen his drinking habits, and all those scars! He's a guy who likes to look for a fight, I've seen that type before. They don't bode well for staying in port for long. He's, like, a fucking pillager or something! A real outlaw!"
"If you find someone that looks trustworthy then I would be concerned. I still haven't made myself very familiar with him so I can't make a completely accurate judgment on him, not yet at least.  So far he hasn't tried to kill me in my sleep, so that's good.  He hasn't tried to kill anyone in their sleep, hasn't stolen anything, he did mend my ship for free when we were at Mirestone which is great."  Sora then shrugged a bit as he adjusted his grip on the basket of apples.  "Though to be worried about him, good to know you are looking out for the crew.  Unless of course he did something else to make it personal.... Anyway! Lets drop that for the time being, if it makes you feel better I am keeping an eye out and evaluating everyone."
Looking over at Zeon he blinked a bit at the amount of chocolates he had just stashed away in his bag.  "Think you got enough to survive?"  He asked in a lightly joking tone.
Zeon had spent the few seconds in his thoughts after Sora mentioned survival, turned out he'd have earn back all he spent on candy, and if he planned on staying on the island... he'd have to find a place to call home and later a way to accomplish his ambition. Suddenly taking off for the roof of the building beside them, Zeon sat and looked down at everything else. It was pretty obvious what he'd have to do for the sake of his self-made promise, and felt that if the guilt from tainting the teachings of his people didn't kill him while aboard the ship of pirates, he could even take it further. Or like a smart man ditch the ship when they got to another island. Zeon laid back on the roof.
Marcus watched Zeon sit up on the roof of the building, a look of confusion etched onto his face. After a moment, he shook his head, and focused back on Sora. "You can trust him if you want, but be careful. That guy carries weapons around with him wherever he goes, so I just want to warn you about him. He can seem like a good guy and still have bad intentions. I've run into plenty of those guys as well, trying to rob me after I patch them up." Marcus shuddered as he remembered his first year in Mirstone, where he had dealt with a wounded man washing up on the shore. After healing him, the man had held him at knife-point until Marcus had managed to escape.
He felt a twinge of longing to return to Mirstone, wondering what would have happened if he just hadn't gone on a walk that morning four days ago. Would he still be living semi-peacefully in his little shed of a house? Maybe. He wasn't sure. Groaning, Marcus quickly adjusted his glasses, then pointed to Zeon, snarling. "And you! You should get down before you fall off! Because I'm gonna make sure you have a loooooong recovery time when I patch you up. So don't test me, boy."
Sora watched as Zeon went up to the roof a layer of confusion going over him.  "Wasn't it your idea that we go and 'observe' this place some more?  Can't really do that from the roof of a sweets shop."  He said to the other before going quiet as he listened to Marcus.  "Oh I know, I try not to judge people by their looks, seeing as that can be just as deceiving as a cover of a book." After giving this small confirmation that he was remaining vigilant with his crew he looked back up at Zeon.  "So are you just, going to nap there or what?"
Sitting upwards he gave the others his attention, scratching his head at Marcus's statement. Zeon never thought a pirate would ever worry about him, much more to patch him up in the first place. He wondered if there was a chance that Sora and Marcus were a different breed of sea criminal. Though they took the criminal right out of sea criminal. He'd have to ask them what their opinion on pirates was later. "Actually I was thinking of where we should 'observe' first." Replying to Sora, Zeon walked off the roof of the building, landing quietly on his hands and feet.
"You were hm?  I think I know where to start.  We need/should, talk to the hunters themselves or even just one of the hunters.  I want to know why any of them decided to just quit their job at all."  Sora stated before looking over at Marcus.  "Zeon and I are going to look around the village, something is up with this place and curiosity has gotten the better of me.  Want to join in with us as we 'observe' this place?"  He asked before looking at the grocies in his hand and Marcus' "After we dump the weight at the ship or some place first."
Marcus took a moment to look over his options. He could continue looking for Elijah, and throttle the idiot's neck when he found him. He could continue his shopping, and maybe head into the forest to find some other plants and whatnot he could use. Or, he could go with Sora and Zeon to figure out what was up with the island. However, he noticed one thing Sora said. "The hunters quit their jobs as...hunters? That seems oddly suspicious to me. Isn't that just something that they would do no matter what? I remember some of the hunters in Mirstone enjoyed having an occasional challenge. If these guys are sitting around quitting, then something must have spooked them. I'll go with you guys for now."
"Sounds good."  Sora stated before he entered the sweets shop to talk with the owner.  After a very quick exchange with the woman he exited the place and looked at the two.  "The lady in there was kind enough to tell me where one of the hunters lives.  Though she wished us luck on getting anything out of him...so that's never a good sign."  Sora let out a light chuckle at this as he smiled before he started to walk off. "Just follow me, his place shouldn't be too far."
Accepting Sora's decision, Zeon remained by the wall. Silently waiting on the other that went into the shop. "So this is it huh." He covered part of his face to hide his awkward smile. "Three  years of hatred... or whatever it was... on mirstone... and it just took four and a half days for me to question myself. Heh... Interesting...." Leaning back, his blank expression returned. Zeon was about to stick his nose into the odd problems of a village with pirates. He was going to attempt to 'help' innocent people with the same scum that he was warned about... The same that raided his home and caused all of the events that followed. Sliding to the ground against the wall, he rested his head back onto it. He was tempted to just eat a few fudge bars and have his thoughts dwindle away, only to be reminded of his empty money bag. "Great... Forgot i planned to ration these."
When Sora returned with info on the hunters location, he slowly rose to his feet. "Thought you planned on dropping off the baggage off pirate captain." A sarcastic sounding statement indeed as he followed anyway.
Sora looked at the fruits he had in his hands and the supplies Marcus had.  Leaning his head back he let out a small groan.  "But the ship is far, lets talk to the hunter first then dump our stuff at the ship."  He stated with a small nod completely fine with changing his gameplan to suit his whim.
Marcus waved his bag around slightly. "And my stuff isn't that heavy, so I'm fine with carrying it around as much as need be. I don't have anything that seems like it would expire to quickly in this heat." Marcus quickly wiped his forehead of sweat with the sleeves of his shirt, and began following Zeon and Sora. He adjusted his glasses quickly and looked out to the forest, the silence from it making his stomach twist. "This won't be fun, huh..." With that, he jogged to keep in line with his two comrades.
"Please don't tell panda-sensei that I compared him with a teddy bear." Seth whispered to Mac and Alex. "It would seriously damage our negotiating position." He turned his head towards his crewmates. "Hey Cait, you are just in time for the trial. Though I forgot who it was about again... Oh, and you forgot the strangest thing about the crew, which obviously should be me! And Keya, patience is key. Food comes later." He noticed that he was trailing of again. What was he supposed to do here again. Something with head quarters or something? Right, time for the big finale. Time for a super fast plea, which was sure to convince everyone.
Seth straightened his back. "Speaking about patience: For how much longer are we gonna stand here pretending to be on good terms with each other? I'm bored! Lets just skip to the part of the tour where you show the real purpose of your HQ, breeding laser-shooting sharks for the highest bidders. Once we are in the area the floor will fall away leaving just us four pirates on a small island. You kids reveal that we were actually your prisoners all along and do a maniacal evil laugh. MUHAHAHAHA! but then in high pitched children's voices. Then Cait will reveal that she can speak to sharks, you because ... Hey Cait, can you actually talk with sharks? That would be awesome! Anyways, the sharks just say they want to eat us. They are not even sorry. Then we get an awesome scene with sharks jumping out of the water and us knocking them out with awesome Kung Fu. And then we defuse the time bomb. Oh wait, I forgot to mention there was one didn't I? Well there would be, but we would survive. Just in time for a slow-motion walk away from your headquarters and the the credits. Cait Merlin as Sharknado. Keya Fenris as Death from Below. And..." He noticed the others got lost and were not listening anymore. "but we haven't even gotten to the after credits scene!" he shouted  indignantly. He sat down and started moping in top speed.
They had one him over with their ignorance. Deep in his heart he knew he wouldn't get funding for it. He didn't really care for the negotiations either. "You know what? Never mind those trials, anyone who was captured can be free from now on, as long as I get an extra portion of dessert." Yet another succes for the worlds favorite lawyer, Sétanta Igramo'el.
Marcus Gaverenton
and
Elijah Baden
Marcus watched Sora make his way off the ship, and turned to his two fellow companions. He had made little interactions with the girl, Emilie, but the other man, Elijah, had not made a good first impression to him. He was rude, seemingly lazy, and overall just crude in his demeanor. Especially when he had a drink in his hand (though the doctor was unsure where he kept getting them). He had a few good bones in his body, though, as he had assisted in helping him back onto the ship after Toad and his compatriots bombarded their ship earlier. He had also tried to park up some conversation with the man Syrin as well, though that had been a flop.
Walking over to where he had left most of his items, Marcus quickly fixed up his attire. As he tied his bowtie and buttoned up his vest, he turned back to the other two and regarded them both. "I'm not sure about either of you, but I need supplies. I've left everything on Mirstone, save a few vials, so I need to get some ingredients. You two can squabble all you want about who stays here and who goes, but I can't spend much more time here.
Turning to make his way off the ship and to head into town, his eyes froze on Elijah. He was pulling on a white tank-top, one that fit snug against his body. He bent down next to the metal chest he had managed to take with him on the ship and pulled out a pair of gloves. Well, not so much gloves as they were gauntlets. The parts that went over his hands were leather, but there were metal bars that went up and clamped around his forearms, and a circular disk that clamped tightly against his skin. A few wires twisted together made their way from the disk to the leather gloves, and snuck beneath one of the layers of the gloves. He flexed his hands quickly, and before Marcus could question the gear, a few sparks of lightning traveled across his left hand. He gave a content smile as he bent down to quickly tie the laces of his boots.
Marcus, baffled, walked quickly over and stared down at the neanderthal. "You...what do you think you are doing? What the hell are those?" He gestured to the gauntlets.
Eli looked up, then to the contraptions on his arms, and grinned. "A gift. From my sister. A few years back, she gave them to me when I left our island. She learned to be a shiprwright like me, but gave it up and became a florist. Didn't lose that touch of tinkering with objects, though. I keep these around to defend myself. I'm a bit of a boxer, you know." He jokingly jabbed the doctor's leg before laughing, and reached into his box of goodies to retrieve his pistol, the slick little one-shot glistening in the sunlight as he slipped it into the waistband of his pants.
Marcus just shook his head, getting frustrated. "And that? Is that something your florist sister made for you as well? Another deadly weapon?"
Eli stood up, giggling as he patted Marcus on the shoulder. "Calm down, buddy. You can never be to cautious, right? I've never shot a single pullet out of this little beauty here. And I don't think you have the right to talk to me about what I should or shouldn't carry to defend myself. I'm not the one who has numerous chemical weapons on him at all times." He leaned in close to whisper to the blonde. "Which you should let me use sometime to make my own personal weapon..."
"ABSOLUTELY NOT!" Marcus placed a hand on the shipwrights chest, glaring at him. "You're wild and dangerous. I can tell. I've met your type before. This place is peaceful, so I think you'd be best to stay on the ship. Isn't that the job of the shipwright? To protect the ship and fix it if something happens?" Marcus put a lot of emphasis to his last sentence, hoping it would get through the man's thick skull.
Eli just stared at the man, a blank expression plastered onto his face as he looked at the doctor. "...Rrrrriiiight...Welp." Before anyone could say another word, Eli spun in a circle, and jumped over the edge of the Lucky Nova, landing on the deck with a resounding thud, and took off in a vicious sprint, making his way towards the town. Marcus had run over to the edge of the ship, and was gripping the railing hard enough for his knuckles to turn white. "You fucking asshole!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Elijah smiled as he wandered through town. He did not want to be stuck on that ship for much longer with Mr. Grumpy Doctor Man. Anyways, he needed to gather some essentials: a hoard of little nails and screws, planks, alcohol, smokes, some special little tools...was he drooling at all the possible enhancements he could make to Sora's ship? He was sure he was, as a few people were turning to him with confused looks on their face. Eli grabbed the hem of his tank top and wiped his mouth with it, letting it snap back against his skin as he pulled out a list of supplies. He had plenty of money he had salvaged from his ship to get what he needed, as well as a few pieces of jewelry he had looted in Mirstone to sell and make a bit of a profit. Looking it all over, he was sure he still had enough to grab the bitchy doctor some stuff. He grinned, and began his tour of the village.

First thing was first, and that was to get some food in his stomach. Right off the bat, he couldn't smell any meat, which was a big upset in his book. He needed the protein, and always preferred it to the crappy replacements his mother had told him about. So, he settled on grabbing a few fruits and vegetables, and found a man selling some beans that he had heated up and served in a small bowl. He scarfed down his makeshift meal quickly, and discarded it in an alley before returning to his search for supplies. He found a small metal shop selling the nails and screws he needed, and he was pointed in the direction of a woodsmith where he could buy some spare planks. On his way, he picked up some herbs, weird fungi, and other silly little things here and there for the grump.

He was carrying all his accomplishments in a bag he had bought slung across his back, the weight of it comfortable to someone hard-working like himself. As he meandered his way to the woodsmans house, his eyes skimmed the surrounding area, and he stopped. Ahead of him, he noticed a stone house with a group of people in front of it. A few of them were kids, but what really stood out were the panda and fishman in front of the house. He quickly recognized them as the crew of the Lucky Nova, and grinned as he quickly turned to walk in the direction of the building. As he walked over, he could see some of the other crew members more clearly. One was that energetic psycho boy, and the other was the dwarf he mistook at the moment for a kid.

As he got closer, he raised a hand in greeting. "Yo! Fishgirl, Midget, Panda, Crazy! What a surprise seeing you guys here!" There was definite sarcasm in his voice, and he laughed as he got closer. "What's going on here? Wasting some time while the rest of us gather supplies?"

Cait Merlin

Cait smiled at her crew as she enjoyed how playful they were around the kids; She was glad to be a part of a friendly pirate crew. She giggled as Seth concocted a far fetched scenario that sounded like it belonged more in a movie than in real life. "Sorry, I can't talk to sharks. My ma told me talking to fish is more of a mermaid, merman thing. It's a rare trait for a fishman to have," she replied. "Though coincidentally I did name one of my fighting techniques sharknado; it'll be easy to tell why if I have to use it."

Cait heard Elijah call her "fishgirl" before she looked at him. She could have been offended by the term if the man hadn't said it in a friendly way. "The Captain said he had supplies handled, if he needs our help I'm sure he'll give us a holler," she replied with a smile. "Otherwise I'm going to be on the lookout for my ma. Surprisingly Captain Sora turned the search for my ma into an order, so you could help out too, if you wanted," she said to Elijah. "Toad here offered us a tour of the island, which was an offer I couldn't refuse. It wouldn't be good if I got lost searching for my ma. What if the crew needed me? This may be a quiet island, but sometimes unpredictable things happen and not all unpredictabilities are going to be as pleasant as a fisherman reeling in his true love from the sea," she added with a tongue-in-cheek reference to how her parents met.

Xiao Bamboo- Fluffy, But Definetly Not A Teddy Bear

Ghost Walk!

Xiao blitzed towards the group formed of some kids and a part of his crew. He appeared in front of them incredibly fast, giving the impression that he teleported. He analyzed the kids carefully. They seemed like a very adventurous bunch, something which amused him. They all looked like they were doing serious business,and it was hard for the panda-man not to mess with them a little. But before that...

"Keya, glad to see you're alright! Seth, glad to see I don't have to pawnch you! Elijah, I know next-to-nothing about you, but I am still glad to see you. Also I belive that nothing is a waste of time as long as you learn something new. Cait..." Xiao paused and became more serious "I didn't say this to you before because I didn't want to be half-hearted about it. It is an extremely serious subject after all, and I needed to ponder about it. I have my own hopes and ambitions, and I want to prioritize those. On the other paw, if it is within my ability to do it, I will help you find your mother" he said that out of the blue, smiling at Cait. Xiao was very sincere. He didn't sugarcoat his words, and he spoke up whenever he felt that he had to say something, regardless if it seemed sudden or not.

It didn't take long for the panda to return to his usual chill self. Xiao shifted his attention back at the kids. He smiled, revealing his sharp teeth. "So, young ones...are you brave warriors of the sea as well?" he asked, acting as if he was very serious about it, taking an imposing posture. In the end, he really couldn't resist. The panda-man really wanted to mess a little with the kids.

Teri, Alex, & Mac

Teri's attention turned from the group that was had arrived and brought it to Cait who spoke to him. A broad grin went on his face when he noticed the fishwoman/human had arrived.  "Well you guys aint the bad guys, so I don't think there's any reason to be scared of you or anyone in your crew. Even if they are odd"  He stated confidently as he puffed up his chest in pride showing he wasn't scared of the crew even though he didn't know any of them.  If Cait was a member as well as Xiao then the rest of the group must be just as amazing, even if they are a bit weird looking/acting.  "I didn't really give much of a tour here, Xiao teleported me here before I could, so I think I'll give one later if we have time."  He stated before turning his attention to the group with Mac and Alex.

Panda man huh, he doesn't look too tough I bet I could take him.  That nice thing might be a cover so Alex stay on guard."  Mac whispered to her friend who in return gave her a questioning look.

"But, they said he is friendl-"  Before he finished his sentence he looked over at Keya with a slightly worried expression as she mentioned eating people, however much to his relief she clarified she was only joking.  "That's good, I doubt, don't believe, don't find it convincing that people taste yummy, I don't want to try it either."

"Of course you don't want to try it that's nasty! Look Alex pay attention, we are approaching enemies."

"B-But."

"Shhh."

"Um...Okay."

Mac looked at Seth for a moment and nodded at what he said.  The last thing they wanted was a disadvantage when it came to any kind of negotiations.  "Got it." She whispered back while Alex just gave a nod not really listening as he looked up at Cait with wide eyes.

"You....have fins?"  He said softly in awe.  "D-Did you eat too much fish????"

At this Teri looked over at Alex with confusion.  "What???"

"Rosa says we become what we eat, consume, devour...she has fins.  So she ate too much fish, right??"

Teri was about to respond to that, however his attention was taken awake when Seth started to speak, however not even half way through the rambling Teri was completely lost.  Alex was also lost as he tired to understand where the laser shooting sharks came in.  Mac on the other hand nodded through out the entire thing, in interest.  She listened to every single word that came from the other to the very end.   When he was done however she puffed out a cheek not content with the results.

"What if I want the extra dessert?  We don't get a lot of that, I'll free the prisoners under the condition I get more desert as well."  Mac stated as she crossed her arms over her chest.

Alex looked at Mac still confused as to how sharks lead to extra dessert but he knew he wanted in on that.  "I...um...would like extra dessert to."

"Sorry Alex, but you can't, as leader I get to have the extra dessert."

"That isn't fair, besides you forgot to do your chores, I bet you won't get any dessert."  Teri teased as he grinned happily, though he may not get any dessert either which would be a damn shame.  When another voice rang through his ears Teri quickly turned his attention to the approaching man.  "Another one??"  He asked surprised at how crowded it was. First there was just Xiao but now four others, not including Alex and Mac had joined in.  "Oh boy, I hope there are a lot of left overs."

"You are a fishman!?"  Alex exclaimed in surprise as he listened to Cait speak.  "I haven't heard much about your kind, but are you suppose to live super deep in the water?"

"No you dope, I mean yes she is a fishman.  But she is one of the pirates so she isn't suppose to be underwater all the time like the rest are usually at."

"Gods!  What is with all the noil-"  At this time Sam exited the house again and looked out onto the porch in silence.  "...........................Teri, Alex, Mac.... Why are there more strangers on our porch?"

Mac stepped forward and smiled.  "These people were my hostages, however because I get extra dessert I let them all go free.  But they are hungry now, so they didn't run off."  She said confidently as she started to walk in.

"What?  First you aren't getting dessert you skipped on chores and that didn't explain who these people are."

"They are friends, and we invited them for dinner.  Actually I was suppose to give out a tour. But I want to eat first.  Rosa taught me manners so I have to invite them for dinner." /monthly_2017_01/d77883996c489d60b140b7059d7cdc6a.jpg.58d07cb4f8ad06f8fe63f6feabdc91b0.jpg

"....................................................Rosa is going to ground every single one of you."

"Nu huh! We are being nice, good, behaving!  She shouldn't get mad at all.  Please Sam can they come in and have some dinner with us."

Sam looked at Alex before letting out a sigh.  "I'll get the extra plates." she muttered before going into the house.  "But you can't come in the kitchen no room so you guys got to be in the living room!"

"Okay!"  Mac shouted before standing at the door way with her hands on her hips.  "Well then! People who's names I haven't learned or forgot!  Welcome to the hideout of the Righteous and Fun Animal Protectors! R.F.A.P for short!" She then looked at Xiao with a smirk on her face.  "Brave warriors of the sea have nothing on us!  We are so brave and super and all of that, that not even Brave Warriors are as great as us!!"  She exclaimed with a proud grin before turning on her heels and walking into the home with her hand held high, obviously very proud.

"I still think that name is silly."  Teri mumbled before looking at the group.  "Sam might be a little mean but you can come on in, the living room is to the right after you enter.  Once we are done eating I promise to take you on a tour."  Teri stated confidently as he to went inside the house and headed to the designated room.

"Um, I'm not sure if I'm really brave, but maybe just a bit, a portion, a fraction brave...y-ya some in, I mean come in, enter, go over the threshold." Alex said with a small smile before he too rushed into the house to go with the others.

View attachment 233517"Mother tucking hot arse, this place is an inferno."  Muttered a woman who was up high in the trees on a lookout made of wood and out of plain sight.   A spot used for hunters averagely but was now being occupied by a sole woman.  This woman had a rifle sticking out the window her eye on the scope, her finger on the trigger safety, while her free hand waved a fan to attempt and cool her off.  "Go to the look out post, there might be some people sticking their Gamn nose were it don't belong. Ha, jackarses just wanted me to cook in this heat."   Pushing a long strand of golden hair out of her eyes she surveyed the area through the spoke.  After what felt like hours of silence she heard the sound of leafs crumbling and then suddenly a sound of a person falling.  Moving her eyes from the scope she looked over her shoulder and sighed.  "Some poor sod must have fallen in the pit, or one of the other traps around here.  Told Daniel he put too many around her."

With a sigh she wiped some sweat off her brow and placed her eye back behind the scope to survey the land once more.  In the distance far off really she could have sworn she saw someone run by.  Adjusting her scope she was about to take a closer look however before she could get back in position a voice entered her ears making her jump.  'What??' Confused by this sound she moved her rifle away from her initial spot and moved to one of the other windows that faced the jungle.  It took her only a moment to see Norman who stood were a triggered trap lay.  'He didn't die???'  She thought in shock before wiping more sweat off her brow.   She remained in her spot for a moment and got her rifle up ready to shoot Norman, but she stopped herself from pulling the trigger.

After a moment of consideration she decided killing the unknown man wasn't in her best interest, at the same time she knew she couldn't leave him be.  Staying silent a bit longer she slung her rifle onto her back and with that moved to the exit of the lookout and quickly went down the ladder.  The moment her feet hit the ground a loud crunch gave way, letting anyone who was listening learn of the new presence.  "Hey!  What ya doing here!? Don't ya know its off limits to people!?"  She shouted at Norman though anyone within the vincinty could hear.

Cait Merlin

A smile crossed Cait's lips as she listened to the children. She wanted to interject after Alex thought that she was part fish because she had ate a lot of fish, but the fast pace of the childrens' bickering didn't really give her an opening; but Teri/Toad later set him straight that she was actually a fishwoman. Cait continued to listen to the children and was initially surprised by Sam's arrival. She had assumed that the porch she was standing on belonged to a house, but judging by the conversation, it sounded like this was more of an orphanage.

Cait glanced back at the children, the sparkles of happiness now gone from her eyes. She wasn't an orphan per say, but she did understand what it was like to not have a mom. She started to take her guitar case off her back and was intending to open it up, grab the whiskey inside, and drink away her sorrows (despite the bad example it would be for the kids.) Xiao's seemingly out-of-no-where offer surprised her enough to stop her dead in her tracks. Life returned to her eyes and a smile reappeared on her face as she put the guitar case back over her shoulder. "Thanks Xiao. I appreciate that," she replied with a smile. The offer of supper caused her attention to swiftly turn back to Sam and the kids. She gave Sam an understanding, sorry-for-the-bother facial expression before joining the children in the living room.

Cait sat down on one corner of a couch and leaned her guitar case against the armrest. "Yep, I'm a fishwoman; partially anyway," Cait said to Alex, going back to one of his previous questions. "My da is a human and my ma is a tiger shark fishwoman. My da ended up accidentally catching her in one of his fisherman nets years ago, though that's all of the story you may want to hear. It gets mushy later...and...sad...," Cait sighed. She wished she hadn't mentioned it. She didn't want to put a damper on the mood, not to mention child-like curiosity wasn't usually easily quieted. She'd need to change the subject to something more exciting, like pirates.

"Maybe your organisation is better than brave warriors of the sea, but I bet you guys still have questions about what a pirate's life is like," Cait said with a shark toothed grin. "This may be the only opportunity to ask another pirate first hand. There's no guarantee that the next batch of pirates will be as friendly as us." She may be bluffing about being able to answer all of their pirate-y questions, but she was probably right about the odds of another friendly pirate group stopping on the island. Hopefully her knowledge of the sea from her fisherman days would be enough to get her through the children's questions, but the kids would probably believe any entertaining story.

Keya Fenris

Keya stared at Seth with a wide amused grin as he went on about lazer shooting sharks and time bombs. If she didn't know any better she'd say he was crazier than she was....but she didn't so she had pretty much settled on that point. She herself was fairly random an childish but if it came down to a contest Seth would beat her by a very long shot. Only he would be able to think of some random scenario like that on the fly and seem entirely serious about it at the same time. She outright laughed when he got upset that no one seemed to be paying attention and settled on everyone getting let go as long as he had desert. That seemed about right, "What if I want it though?" She questioned. Though, she'd eat less than anyone there regardless. Even if she wanted to devour everything in sight at time her small stomach couldn't really handle it. Oh the woes of only being several inches high. It was a challenge and a blessing at the same time she supposed.

She lightly glared over to Elijah when he walked over calling her a midget, "I'm not a midget! I'm tall for a dwarf!" She insisted with an angry pout similar to an angry puppy. It was true, or at-least she wanted to believe it was. She'd tell everyone that if they ever asked her anyways. She was the tallest dwarf and that was that, even if it was still just a few inches and literally everyone else here was a hundred times bigger than she. Back on topic however she was actually curious if Cait could talk to sharks. She was part shark from the looks of her, or at-least part fish, so the assumption actually made sense. When she confirmed, as expected, she couldn't actually talk to fish her pouting only continued. "Aww..I wanted to watch you talk to fish.." She whined before sighing.

The dwarf continued to listen as Cait spoke of finding her mother. Cait's mother was on this island then? Huh. That's the first she's heard of it...or...at-least as far as she remembered. She was going to comment...until Xiao showed up. Of course his comment of pawnching caused her to giggle and happily hop from her current perch to Xiao's shoulder and hug a mass of fur, "Panda man!" She cheered with a wide smile. "Of course I'm fine! I'm awesome!" She added once he finished speaking. It would take more than getting squished by a cannonball to do her in anyways...or she hoped so. She didn't really want to find out at all. She turned her attention back to the trio of kids in the end still smiling. She had of course found Alex's reaction extremely amusing...really everything those three said amused her greatly.

She outright laughed when their assumptions of how Cait had her fish like features was because she ate too many fish. "Yes, totally. Eat enough fish and you turn into a Cait." She said, mostly to tease Cait. "Eat a Cait and you turn into Cait 2.0." She added, not sure where she was going with that. But oh well. She quieted down when Sam popped out, seemingly angry at the groups' gathering outside of the home. Her concern for such went out of the window however when the topic of food and inviting them in for dinner was mentioned. "Oooh...foooood..." She mumbled, her stomach growling fairly loud for a being so small.

Her attention was once more called to the kids when they started speaking about their organization. The shorthand for it being R.F.A.P. Keya stared and blinked, letting that information slowly sink in...until she busted out laughing again. "R.F.A.P? What?" She questioned, what made it funnier as she doubted the kids would understand why she was laughing. But knowing Seth, he would. "What are you fapping too then? Trees?" She added, trying to compose herself before laughing again. Score one for random nonsensical Keya humor. Hey it was funny to her.

When everyone seemed to be going inside to eat she poked Xiao as a means to say 'come on' and hopped down following after them, "Nice place." She commented once inside. She made herself comfy on one of the couch cushions, sinking into it to basically become one with the fluffy fabric and sighing softly. She partially listened to Cait and the kids though mostly focused on relaxing. That and periodically giggling to herself...R.F.A.P...classic.

Xiao Bamboo

The panda smiled as Keya jumped on his shoulder and hugged him. "Of course you're awesome. I never doubted that" he said with a chuckle. The dwarf was even more energetic than the kids, and that said something. Speaking of the kids, Xiao found them more amusing every second that passed. The way they acted like adults, like they were doing serious stuff, was adorable.

Growl!

Xiao was hungry. The mentioning of food only increased his apetite. Nonetheless, he couldn't help but notice that, despite its simplicity, the room in which they were led was quite elegant and very clean. The panda wanted to comment on that aspect, but then Keya just had to ask that silly question regarding the acronym of the kid's group. He sighed.

"Keya, what have you done?" he thought to himself. With her question, the dwarf was most likely going to become the cause of a really awkward atmosphere. Could he do nothing to stop it from happening? He had to be quick.  Fortunately something came to mind.

"Leaving the acronym aside, the name of your group makes me think that the animals around here are in danger. I hope I am mistaken though" he said, becoming very serious.

Meet the Hatter: Risa Talone

“Thank you, m’dear!” A slightly older lady was walking away with the biggest grin on her face as she wore her brand new hat, glimmering with silk and wrapped in a violet ribbon that featured a lily in the center. It was one of the more intricate hats that Risa had made in a while, but the woman seemed wealthy enough to be able to afford such a thing and the woman also definitely appreciated the craftsmanship of her new accessory. It had been one of those sales that just left Risa absolutely twinkling inside.

“You’re welcome. Be sure to tell everyone where you got it!”

Of course, more than the woman with her new hat, Risa the hatter was also quite a sight to see. True to her profession, she wore a crimson hat on her head with a rose pinned on the right side of it and she wore it tilted slightly to the right as well. She had blonde bangs that hung in front of her face and her skin was quite pale which may have seemed odd because the island had a very tropical feel to it, at least on the present day. She didn’t seem to care much about showing off her pale skin, though. She wore a red top that cut off at the edges of her shoulders so that it was technically sleeveless although it was not spaghetti straps. That top was flamboyant with ruffles and seams fashionably woven across the front and it looked quite nice when matched up with the white capris that she was wearing over her legs. Of course, one could argue that a skirt would have been more suitable, but Risa didn’t care much for skirts when pants could fit her purposes well enough. A pair of maroon flip flops completed her apparel and as she stepped out from behind the hat stand that she had set up in the middle of the town, one thing became very apparent about her.

Despite the fact that she definitely was dressed in a very feminine manner, her body lacked the luscious curves that one would expect on a woman. It kinda made her stand out, more than a little.

Risa would simply argue that standing out was her goal because it was.

Stepping out from behind the stand, Risa had a simple sunhat in her hands and she was fairly certain that there would be someone willing to buy from her. The shade that a hat could offer someone on a day like the one they were presently enduring would be too enticing. “Best hats you’ll find in the entire blue!!” she called out, trying to get the attention of anyone and everyone. “On a day like today, you’ll find no better!!” She waltzed through the crowds like an expert who knew exactly what she was looking for and it was obvious when she spotted it because she made a beeline straight for the person her eyes had stumbled upon.

“You, my good sir, look like a man on a mission,” she commented with a brilliantly elegant smile as she actually stepped in front of a trio of men, cutting them off from wherever they had been headed. “Might I suggest that your mission may be more successful with an excellent accessory to make you look classy? Although this hat,” she held up the sunhat in her hand, “definitely wouldn’t suit you, I can guarantee you I have a few that would and if not, I’d be delighted to make one for you. What do you say?”

As she paused, Risa finally seemed to realize that there was not one man but three and she glanced at the other two with an intense gaze. “Of course, your friends would be fun to hat as well. I can guarantee you won’t find a better hatter than myself.” And she believed it. That much was clear by the confidence she spoke with.

Rosa

yancy__remastered_by_kawacy-d9utgme.jpg

When the group entered the living room alone with the kids, they would see a several kids drawing hanged up on the walls.  A few toys lay about the floor here and there from a doll to a small replica of the sea train. The room itself was as clean as a public room in a house full of children could really be. Floors washed and shiny, the walls that didn't have pictures on them were dusted and free of any stains and crayon marks.  The couches, chairs as well as the table was in good condition, with the table in the middle of the room being recently washed.  The room itself was large enough for the entire group of pirates as well as the kids to be in without feeling suffocated.

Once the kids entered the room they went to the chair closet to the window and Mac, being the first one in was the one that got in the chair.  Much to the other two boys disappointment.  "You always get the best chair, share already."  Teri grumbled as he lightly kicked the chair which only made Mac smirk as she straightened her back in a show of pride.

"Of course I get this seat, I'm the leader so of course I get the best seat in the house."

"Can't we switch the role of leader? I bet I would make a really good leader."

"Nu huh, we agreed I would be it so I will stay it."

"That's because we thought being leader was only work, if we knew that you get all good stuff because you are the leader I would have wanted the role."

"Ha! Well to bad, besides the leader does take a lot of work."

"Oh ya?  Exactly what have you done as our leader?"

"........Stuff, now shhh I don't have time for a munity when we got other people here."  Mac said with a grin on her face.

"If I was the leader we would have a different name, at the very least a different acronym."

"There is nothing wrong with our current one! I put a lot of thought into it and I like it!"

"Ya you might have but your new friend can't stop giggling at it.  It sounds soooo stupid."

"Really?  Well....well....your face is stupid!"

"My face has nothing to do with this! I'm talking about the name of our group!  If we are talking about stupid faces you should go looking in a mirror!"

"Ha! The person that needs a mirror is you! I've seen fishes that have better skin then you!"

"Ya? Well jokes on you fish don't have skin they have scales! Scales that look just like your face!!"

"No it doesnt'!"

"Yes it does!!"

While those two argued Alex simply ignored them and went over to the couch deeming this the place for him to sit.  Wanting to make sure everyone had a place he went ahead and sat next to Cait so he wouldn't take up too much room and so he could possibly ask her a few questions since he was very curious about the half fishwoman.  Before he could ask her to clarify what she was, Cait freely explained it to him (much to his joy as he didn't want to appear rude for not understanding it when Teri told him).  He listen to the musician quietly, when she was done speaking a smile went on his face.  "Wow that sounds a lot like one of the stories Rosa reads to us from time to time.  But it has a magic fish that grants wishes instead of a mermaid, and the fisherman was a mean grumpy man that was really greedy, not your dad I mean the fisherman in the book that was read to me." He stated hoping he didn't accidently insult Cait.  "Um...I actually...don't mind, I'm okay with, I like to listen to um...mushy stuff... I know that's a girl thing but I still like it sometimes.  As long as it isn't very mushy."  He said softly as he looked down feeling a bit embarrassed to say that.   "Um but if I can ask...did your dad not get a happily ever after like the stories?  Since you said it was sad, tragic, not good?"  He asked curiously now peaking back at Cait.  "I hope it wasn't too bad, but it must not have been good if you are looking, searching, seeking your mother."  He said remembering what Xaio had said on the porch before they had all entered the house, about how he will help her find her mother.

Before Cait could answer his question however Mac (who was now giving Teri the silent treatment) looked at Cait and hopped at the chance to ask her some questions.  "Have you gone on a huge adventures yet?  Or gotten a bounty?  Did you beat up any marines or even pirates?  I heard there are these guys and women out there that are emperors or something did you kick their butts yet?  Are you super powerful?  Can you make people faint just by screaming at them?  What about your guitar? Is it a super strong secret weapon in the shape of a normal guitar????"  She asked in an excited tone. Having read so many stories about pirates and even  adventurers she was just brimming with questions for the pirates to answer!

At this time Sam had entered the room with a tray full of food and she set it down on the table. "Okay, you guys are lucky we make enough food to feed a village so help yourselves."  She said simply in a slightly uncaring tone, despite the group of strangers in the room.  On the table was one large bowl over filled with fried and seasoned Brussels Sprouts.  Along with that there was another large bowl full of meatless pasta, accompanied with several forks and empty bowls.

Teri (who was still ticked at Mac) grabbed an empty bowl and filled it with nothing but the Brussel Sprouts while Mac only filled her bowl with pasta, Alex on the other hand was quiet as he waited to hear possible answers to all the questions that had been posed earlier.  Out of all the questions that were asked from the group, currently only one caught the attention of every child as well as Sam. And that was the question of the missing animals.  At this the three kids got quiet, very much so while Sam, simply adjusted her beanie and left the room in silence.

The kids didn't' say anything for a moment as they looked at one another as if silently asking who would speak first and soon enough Mac put down her bowl of pasta while keeping her eyes on the floor.  "We think something did happen.  Whatever it is it's not good, or at least we don't think it is, though the adults say otherwise.  We know this place is called Silent Isle, but for out entire lives it was anything but silent, with the jungle only a few miles away from us it was always noisy day in and day out.  But recently..."

Before Mac could finish what she was saying, the main door opened once again and a woman stepped into the home.  She was letting out a small hum as she walked further into the household after closing the door.  She almost walked by the group of strangers on her way to the kitchen, but just before she could. She saw them out of the corner of her eye and came to a complete stop right at the door to the living room.  After blinking numerous times she turned her head and looked in, only for her eyes to be greeted with the sight of these strangers.  She was completely caught off guard by the group, having never seen such characters in the village before suspicion immediately arose in her.  "I haven't seen you here before, you must be from that shi-...."  Before she finished her sentence she stopped dead as her eyes just now landed on Xiao.  Pure silence followed for a few moments before a squeal of delight left the woman.  "YOU ARE SO FLUFFY!!!!"  She exclaimed in joy, in a moment she passed by everyone and went up to Xiao and simply hugged him.  "YOU FEEL JUST AS FLUFFY TO!!! OH GODS THIS IS JUST AMAZING!"  She exclaimed in pure delight while she nuzzled the panda completely delighted at this moment.

Alex who jumped at the loud noise from the woman scratched his shoulder and looked at everyone.  "Sorry um, that's Rosa, she is the one that runs the house."  He said with a light smile.

Rosa tightened the hug on Xiao for a few more moment before letting go and smiling, though after a second she had to get another hug in and so she did.  "So soft, even better than I thought~"  She said with a smile before finally letting go for real this time around.  "Normally I would be mad at bringing so many people in here but who could say no to such a fluffy panda???" She said as clapped her hands together once before her eyes went over Mac and Teri.  "Hm?  Whats with the serious face? I'm not mad this time around about you bringing strangers into the house~"

"Its nothing...."

"We were about to talk about the animals."

At this Rosa sighed and shook her head.  "I've told you and so has everyone else, the animals are fine~ They just migrated~"  She hummed happily simply dismissing anything that could have been wrong with the wildlife, and just chalking it up to the easiest explanation out there.

"But, Ixy was a house cat, why would she migrate?"

"She ran away, and you couldn't find her. We went over this a month ago.  We have guest don't get all somber okay?"  Rosa said with a bright smile.   Mac and Teri both looked at each other for a moment before grumbling under their breath and giving a reluctant nod.

"Okay Miss Rosa."

Alex fumbled with his hands a bit as he kept his head down.  "We still don't believe, accept, buy that all those animals migrated though.......it...doesn't make much sense..."

Cait Merlin

Cait rolled her eyes at Keya's bad joke and flashed Alex a sisterly smile as he sat down next to her. She let out a quick sigh after his question, but her face didn't look offended by it. She really wanted to answer the boys question, but couldn't because she was peppered with more questions by Mac. Then she couldn't answer those questions right away because of other things. "Thanks," Cait said to Sam as the fishwoman loaded her bowl with an even serving of pasta and Brussel spouts. Once the room quieted down, Cait thought that this was her chance to answer some questions, but the kids were so quiet and somber that she wondered what they were thinking about.

As Cait waited for the kids to speak, she noticed Rosa walk in. At first it looked like she would be mad at the kids until she noticed Xiao. Cait was a bit surprised by the eccentric hug, but she was a little glad that she hadn't been the intended target. She felt a little sorry for Xiao though, he was probably destined to get that kind of reaction everywhere. Cait raised an eyebrows in confusion as Rosa and the kids briefly argued about what happened to the animals. She agreed with Alex. It didn't make sense.

Cait picked up her guitar case and opened it, reveling a regular guitar with a Celtic knot pattern on it. She started to strum a pleasant sounding song, but she wasn't trying to lighten the mood. Her guitar may not be a weapon, but you can do some pretty creative things with music. In spy-like fashion, Cait was aiming to fill the room and house with music so that Rosa would hear that instead of the conversation about the missing animals. For some reason Rosa was adamant that the animals simply migrated. Either she knew the truth, or was simply repeating what she had been told. Cait wondered if the children would catch on to what she was doing with her music, but even if they didn't they could talk a bit more privately for awhile. "What do you think happened to the animals?" she asked the kids.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Elijah smiled as he wandered through town. He did not want to be stuck on that ship for much longer with Mr. Grumpy Doctor Man. Anyways, he needed to gather some essentials: a hoard of little nails and screws, planks, alcohol, smokes, some special little tools...was he drooling at all the possible enhancements he could make to Sora's ship? He was sure he was, as a few people were turning to him with confused looks on their face. Eli grabbed the hem of his tank top and wiped his mouth with it, letting it snap back against his skin as he pulled out a list of supplies. He had plenty of money he had salvaged from his ship to get what he needed, as well as a few pieces of jewelry he had looted in Mirstone to sell and make a bit of a profit. Looking it all over, he was sure he still had enough to grab the bitchy doctor some stuff. He grinned, and began his tour of the village.
First thing was first, and that was to get some food in his stomach. Right off the bat, he couldn't smell any meat, which was a big upset in his book. He needed the protein, and always preferred it to the crappy replacements his mother had told him about. So, he settled on grabbing a few fruits and vegetables, and found a man selling some beans that he had heated up and served in a small bowl. He scarfed down his makeshift meal quickly, and discarded it in an alley before returning to his search for supplies. He found a small metal shop selling the nails and screws he needed, and he was pointed in the direction of a woodsmith where he could buy some spare planks. On his way, he picked up some herbs, weird fungi, and other silly little things here and there for the grump.
He was carrying all his accomplishments in a bag he had bought slung across his back, the weight of it comfortable to someone hard-working like himself. As he meandered his way to the woodsmans house, his eyes skimmed the surrounding area, and he stopped. Ahead of him, he noticed a stone house with a group of people in front of it. A few of them were kids, but what really stood out were the panda and fishman in front of the house. He quickly recognized them as the crew of the Lucky Nova, and grinned as he quickly turned to walk in the direction of the building. As he walked over, he could see some of the other crew members more clearly. One was that energetic psycho boy, and the other was the dwarf he mistook at the moment for a kid.
As he got closer, he raised a hand in greeting. "Yo! Fishgirl, Midget, Panda, Crazy! What a surprise seeing you guys here!" There was definite sarcasm in his voice, and he laughed as he got closer. "What's going on here? Wasting some time while the rest of us gather supplies?"
Cait Merlin
Cait smiled at her crew as she enjoyed how playful they were around the kids; She was glad to be a part of a friendly pirate crew. She giggled as Seth concocted a far fetched scenario that sounded like it belonged more in a movie than in real life. "Sorry, I can't talk to sharks. My ma told me talking to fish is more of a mermaid, merman thing. It's a rare trait for a fishman to have," she replied. "Though coincidentally I did name one of my fighting techniques sharknado; it'll be easy to tell why if I have to use it."
Cait heard Elijah call her "fishgirl" before she looked at him. She could have been offended by the term if the man hadn't said it in a friendly way. "The Captain said he had supplies handled, if he needs our help I'm sure he'll give us a holler," she replied with a smile. "Otherwise I'm going to be on the lookout for my ma. Surprisingly Captain Sora turned the search for my ma into an order, so you could help out too, if you wanted," she said to Elijah. "Toad here offered us a tour of the island, which was an offer I couldn't refuse. It wouldn't be good if I got lost searching for my ma. What if the crew needed me? This may be a quiet island, but sometimes unpredictable things happen and not all unpredictabilities are going to be as pleasant as a fisherman reeling in his true love from the sea," she added with a tongue-in-cheek reference to how her parents met.
Seth let out an irritated sigh. He didn't really like this presumptions drunk guy. "Listen to the such-a-shame-she-can't-talk-to-sharks lady. We're not defying any orders. Please define "wasting time". Oh, and "the rest of us", since you're not with many. Or do you have a split personality? Never mind answering any of that. It would "waste time", which could be better spend on our holy mission: finding Cait's Ma. There will be many opportunities on the way to show your Sharknado, right Cait? Or even better, do it now! ... please. I can't stand this suspense." He pulled himself together just in time before his voice would become incomprehensible once again. "No, it's fine. It can wait. The longer the wait, the sweater the reward, right?" He left the last words hanging in the air. He would keep his mouth shut for a while. Patience is a virtue. Keep calm and- "Oh, and by the way, your nicknaming could use some ... polishing, Tinkerbell." Ha, that would teach him.
Xiao Bamboo- Fluffy, But Definetly Not A Teddy Bear
Ghost Walk!
Xiao blitzed towards the group formed of some kids and a part of his crew. He appeared in front of them incredibly fast, giving the impression that he teleported. He analyzed the kids carefully. They seemed like a very adventurous bunch, something which amused him. They all looked like they were doing serious business,and it was hard for the panda-man not to mess with them a little. But before that...
"Keya, glad to see you're alright! Seth, glad to see I don't have to pawnch you! Elijah, I know next-to-nothing about you, but I am still glad to see you. Also I belive that nothing is a waste of time as long as you learn something new. Cait..." Xiao paused and became more serious "I didn't say this to you before because I didn't want to be half-hearted about it. It is an extremely serious subject after all, and I needed to ponder about it. I have my own hopes and ambitions, and I want to prioritize those. On the other paw, if it is within my ability to do it, I will help you find your mother" he said that out of the blue, smiling at Cait. Xiao was very sincere. He didn't sugarcoat his words, and he spoke up whenever he felt that he had to say something, regardless if it seemed sudden or not.
It didn't take long for the panda to return to his usual chill self. Xiao shifted his attention back at the kids. He smiled, revealing his sharp teeth. "So, young ones...are you brave warriors of the sea as well?" he asked, acting as if he was very serious about it, taking an imposing posture. In the end, he really couldn't resist. The panda-man really wanted to mess a little with the kids.
Teri, Alex, & Mac
Teri's attention turned from the group that was had arrived and brought it to Cait who spoke to him. A broad grin went on his face when he noticed the fishwoman/human had arrived.  "Well you guys aint the bad guys, so I don't think there's any reason to be scared of you or anyone in your crew. Even if they are odd"  He stated confidently as he puffed up his chest in pride showing he wasn't scared of the crew even though he didn't know any of them.  If Cait was a member as well as Xiao then the rest of the group must be just as amazing, even if they are a bit weird looking/acting.  "I didn't really give much of a tour here, Xiao teleported me here before I could, so I think I'll give one later if we have time."  He stated before turning his attention to the group with Mac and Alex.
Panda man huh, he doesn't look too tough I bet I could take him.  That nice thing might be a cover so Alex stay on guard."  Mac whispered to her friend who in return gave her a questioning look.
"But, they said he is friendl-"  Before he finished his sentence he looked over at Keya with a slightly worried expression as she mentioned eating people, however much to his relief she clarified she was only joking.  "That's good, I doubt, don't believe, don't find it convincing that people taste yummy, I don't want to try it either."
"Of course you don't want to try it that's nasty! Look Alex pay attention, we are approaching enemies."
"B-But."
"Shhh."
"Um...Okay."
Mac looked at Seth for a moment and nodded at what he said.  The last thing they wanted was a disadvantage when it came to any kind of negotiations.  "Got it." She whispered back while Alex just gave a nod not really listening as he looked up at Cait with wide eyes.
"You....have fins?"  He said softly in awe.  "D-Did you eat too much fish????"
At this Teri looked over at Alex with confusion.  "What???"
"Rosa says we become what we eat, consume, devour...she has fins.  So she ate too much fish, right??"
Teri was about to respond to that, however his attention was taken awake when Seth started to speak, however not even half way through the rambling Teri was completely lost.  Alex was also lost as he tired to understand where the laser shooting sharks came in.  Mac on the other hand nodded through out the entire thing, in interest.  She listened to every single word that came from the other to the very end.   When he was done however she puffed out a cheek not content with the results.
"What if I want the extra dessert?  We don't get a lot of that, I'll free the prisoners under the condition I get more desert as well."  Mac stated as she crossed her arms over her chest.
Alex looked at Mac still confused as to how sharks lead to extra dessert but he knew he wanted in on that.  "I...um...would like extra dessert to."
"Sorry Alex, but you can't, as leader I get to have the extra dessert."
"That isn't fair, besides you forgot to do your chores, I bet you won't get any dessert."  Teri teased as he grinned happily, though he may not get any dessert either which would be a damn shame.  When another voice rang through his ears Teri quickly turned his attention to the approaching man.  "Another one??"  He asked surprised at how crowded it was. First there was just Xiao but now four others, not including Alex and Mac had joined in.  "Oh boy, I hope there are a lot of left overs."
"You are a fishman!?"  Alex exclaimed in surprise as he listened to Cait speak.  "I haven't heard much about your kind, but are you suppose to live super deep in the water?"
"No you dope, I mean yes she is a fishman.  But she is one of the pirates so she isn't suppose to be underwater all the time like the rest are usually at."
"Gods!  What is with all the noil-"  At this time Sam exited the house again and looked out onto the porch in silence.  "...........................Teri, Alex, Mac.... Why are there more strangers on our porch?"
Mac stepped forward and smiled.  "These people were my hostages, however because I get extra dessert I let them all go free.  But they are hungry now, so they didn't run off."  She said confidently as she started to walk in.
"What?  First you aren't getting dessert you skipped on chores and that didn't explain who these people are."
"They are friends, and we invited them for dinner.  Actually I was suppose to give out a tour. But I want to eat first.  Rosa taught me manners so I have to invite them for dinner." /monthly_2017_01/d77883996c489d60b140b7059d7cdc6a.jpg.58d07cb4f8ad06f8fe63f6feabdc91b0.jpg
"....................................................Rosa is going to ground every single one of you."
"Nu huh! We are being nice, good, behaving!  She shouldn't get mad at all.  Please Sam can they come in and have some dinner with us."
Sam looked at Alex before letting out a sigh.  "I'll get the extra plates." she muttered before going into the house.  "But you can't come in the kitchen no room so you guys got to be in the living room!"
"Okay!"  Mac shouted before standing at the door way with her hands on her hips.  "Well then! People who's names I haven't learned or forgot!  Welcome to the hideout of the Righteous and Fun Animal Protectors! R.F.A.P for short!" She then looked at Xiao with a smirk on her face.  "Brave warriors of the sea have nothing on us!  We are so brave and super and all of that, that not even Brave Warriors are as great as us!!"  She exclaimed with a proud grin before turning on her heels and walking into the home with her hand held high, obviously very proud.
"I still think that name is silly."  Teri mumbled before looking at the group.  "Sam might be a little mean but you can come on in, the living room is to the right after you enter.  Once we are done eating I promise to take you on a tour."  Teri stated confidently as he to went inside the house and headed to the designated room.
"Um, I'm not sure if I'm really brave, but maybe just a bit, a portion, a fraction brave...y-ya some in, I mean come in, enter, go over the threshold." Alex said with a small smile before he too rushed into the house to go with the others.
Keya Fenris
Keya stared at Seth with a wide amused grin as he went on about lazer shooting sharks and time bombs. If she didn't know any better she'd say he was crazier than she was....but she didn't so she had pretty much settled on that point. She herself was fairly random an childish but if it came down to a contest Seth would beat her by a very long shot. Only he would be able to think of some random scenario like that on the fly and seem entirely serious about it at the same time. She outright laughed when he got upset that no one seemed to be paying attention and settled on everyone getting let go as long as he had desert. That seemed about right, "What if I want it though?" She questioned. Though, she'd eat less than anyone there regardless. Even if she wanted to devour everything in sight at time her small stomach couldn't really handle it. Oh the woes of only being several inches high. It was a challenge and a blessing at the same time she supposed.
She lightly glared over to Elijah when he walked over calling her a midget, "I'm not a midget! I'm tall for a dwarf!" She insisted with an angry pout similar to an angry puppy. It was true, or at-least she wanted to believe it was. She'd tell everyone that if they ever asked her anyways. She was the tallest dwarf and that was that, even if it was still just a few inches and literally everyone else here was a hundred times bigger than she. Back on topic however she was actually curious if Cait could talk to sharks. She was part shark from the looks of her, or at-least part fish, so the assumption actually made sense. When she confirmed, as expected, she couldn't actually talk to fish her pouting only continued. "Aww..I wanted to watch you talk to fish.." She whined before sighing.
The dwarf continued to listen as Cait spoke of finding her mother. Cait's mother was on this island then? Huh. That's the first she's heard of it...or...at-least as far as she remembered. She was going to comment...until Xiao showed up. Of course his comment of pawnching caused her to giggle and happily hop from her current perch to Xiao's shoulder and hug a mass of fur, "Panda man!" She cheered with a wide smile. "Of course I'm fine! I'm awesome!" She added once he finished speaking. It would take more than getting squished by a cannonball to do her in anyways...or she hoped so. She didn't really want to find out at all. She turned her attention back to the trio of kids in the end still smiling. She had of course found Alex's reaction extremely amusing...really everything those three said amused her greatly.
She outright laughed when their assumptions of how Cait had her fish like features was because she ate too many fish. "Yes, totally. Eat enough fish and you turn into a Cait." She said, mostly to tease Cait. "Eat a Cait and you turn into Cait 2.0." She added, not sure where she was going with that. But oh well. She quieted down when Sam popped out, seemingly angry at the groups' gathering outside of the home. Her concern for such went out of the window however when the topic of food and inviting them in for dinner was mentioned. "Oooh...foooood..." She mumbled, her stomach growling fairly loud for a being so small.
Her attention was once more called to the kids when they started speaking about their organization. The shorthand for it being R.F.A.P. Keya stared and blinked, letting that information slowly sink in...until she busted out laughing again. "R.F.A.P? What?" She questioned, what made it funnier as she doubted the kids would understand why she was laughing. But knowing Seth, he would. "What are you fapping too then? Trees?" She added, trying to compose herself before laughing again. Score one for random nonsensical Keya humor. Hey it was funny to her.
When everyone seemed to be going inside to eat she poked Xiao as a means to say 'come on' and hopped down following after them, "Nice place." She commented once inside. She made herself comfy on one of the couch cushions, sinking into it to basically become one with the fluffy fabric and sighing softly. She partially listened to Cait and the kids though mostly focused on relaxing. That and periodically giggling to herself...R.F.A.P...classic.
When Seth looked inside the living room he was a bit underwhelmed. It looked nothing like the image he made up in his head with a lot of computers, a big evil chair and lots of laser shooting sharks. The chairs in this room didn't even look remotely evil. "Please tell me there is a secret lair behind that fireplace." Seth begged. He was on the verge of a depression now. Then he heard the name of the association and he was immediately cured. "You guys should immediately fire your sales manager, and hire a new one. Me for instance. I was a sales manager once, you know? Let me tell you exactly why the name is terrible. First of all, as my colleague, and friend, Keya so eloquently put it, it can lead to some ... rather unwanted side thoughts. Second of all, anyone who hears it will have their own thoughts of what R.F.A.P. stands for. Maybe they will think it's "Respect For Angry Pickles". Or "Resolve Flashlight Abuse Program", which in my opinion is also really important, but maybe not really what you're going for here. They could even think you mean "Rotational Forces Allocation Process" and you definitely don't want that. People will fall asleep before you can explain anything. Thirdly, it's just plain bad. You really couldn't come up with anything better. Like: "Young, Overly Lovable Organization". Or "Organization for Macro-biological Guarding", which basically means animal protection as well, but maybe it's a tad too sassy. And what about "Poaching, Exploitation, Disregardation Irradication Syndicate", though that may be a bit extreme for you. Maybe if we find an alternative for the "disregardation" that would actually exist as word, it would be more suitable ... hmmm ..." Seth was lost in thought as the conversations around him seemed to continue.
Xiao Bamboo
The panda smiled as Keya jumped on his shoulder and hugged him. "Of course you're awesome. I never doubted that" he said with a chuckle. The dwarf was even more energetic than the kids, and that said something. Speaking of the kids, Xiao found them more amusing every second that passed. The way they acted like adults, like they were doing serious stuff, was adorable.
Growl!
Xiao was hungry. The mentioning of food only increased his apetite. Nonetheless, he couldn't help but notice that, despite its simplicity, the room in which they were led was quite elegant and very clean. The panda wanted to comment on that aspect, but then Keya just had to ask that silly question regarding the acronym of the kid's group. He sighed.
"Keya, what have you done?" he thought to himself. With her question, the dwarf was most likely going to become the cause of a really awkward atmosphere. Could he do nothing to stop it from happening? He had to be quick.  Fortunately something came to mind.
"Leaving the acronym aside, the name of your group makes me think that the animals around here are in danger. I hope I am mistaken though" he said, becoming very serious.
When the group entered the living room alone with the kids, they would see a several kids drawing hanged up on the walls.  A few toys lay about the floor here and there from a doll to a small replica of the sea train. The room itself was as clean as a public room in a house full of children could really be. Floors washed and shiny, the walls that didn't have pictures on them were dusted and free of any stains and crayon marks.  The couches, chairs as well as the table was in good condition, with the table in the middle of the room being recently washed.  The room itself was large enough for the entire group of pirates as well as the kids to be in without feeling suffocated.
Once the kids entered the room they went to the chair closet to the window and Mac, being the first one in was the one that got in the chair.  Much to the other two boys disappointment.  "You always get the best chair, share already."  Teri grumbled as he lightly kicked the chair which only made Mac smirk as she straightened her back in a show of pride.
"Of course I get this seat, I'm the leader so of course I get the best seat in the house."
"Can't we switch the role of leader? I bet I would make a really good leader."
"Nu huh, we agreed I would be it so I will stay it."
"That's because we thought being leader was only work, if we knew that you get all good stuff because you are the leader I would have wanted the role."
"Ha! Well to bad, besides the leader does take a lot of work."
"Oh ya?  Exactly what have you done as our leader?"
"........Stuff, now shhh I don't have time for a munity when we got other people here."  Mac said with a grin on her face.
"If I was the leader we would have a different name, at the very least a different acronym."
"There is nothing wrong with our current one! I put a lot of thought into it and I like it!"
"Ya you might have but your new friend can't stop giggling at it.  It sounds soooo stupid."
"Really?  Well....well....your face is stupid!"
"My face has nothing to do with this! I'm talking about the name of our group!  If we are talking about stupid faces you should go looking in a mirror!"
"Ha! The person that needs a mirror is you! I've seen fishes that have better skin then you!"
"Ya? Well jokes on you fish don't have skin they have scales! Scales that look just like your face!!"
"No it doesnt'!"
"Yes it does!!"
While those two argued Alex simply ignored them and went over to the couch deeming this the place for him to sit.  Wanting to make sure everyone had a place he went ahead and sat next to Cait so he wouldn't take up too much room and so he could possibly ask her a few questions since he was very curious about the half fishwoman.  Before he could ask her to clarify what she was, Cait freely explained it to him (much to his joy as he didn't want to appear rude for not understanding it when Teri told him).  He listen to the musician quietly, when she was done speaking a smile went on his face.  "Wow that sounds a lot like one of the stories Rosa reads to us from time to time.  But it has a magic fish that grants wishes instead of a mermaid, and the fisherman was a mean grumpy man that was really greedy, not your dad I mean the fisherman in the book that was read to me." He stated hoping he didn't accidently insult Cait.  "Um...I actually...don't mind, I'm okay with, I like to listen to um...mushy stuff... I know that's a girl thing but I still like it sometimes.  As long as it isn't very mushy."  He said softly as he looked down feeling a bit embarrassed to say that.   "Um but if I can ask...did your dad not get a happily ever after like the stories?  Since you said it was sad, tragic, not good?"  He asked curiously now peaking back at Cait.  "I hope it wasn't too bad, but it must not have been good if you are looking, searching, seeking your mother."  He said remembering what Xaio had said on the porch before they had all entered the house, about how he will help her find her mother.
Before Cait could answer his question however Mac (who was now giving Teri the silent treatment) looked at Cait and hopped at the chance to ask her some questions.  "Have you gone on a huge adventures yet?  Or gotten a bounty?  Did you beat up any marines or even pirates?  I heard there are these guys and women out there that are emperors or something did you kick their butts yet?  Are you super powerful?  Can you make people faint just by screaming at them?  What about your guitar? Is it a super strong secret weapon in the shape of a normal guitar????"  She asked in an excited tone. Having read so many stories about pirates and even  adventurers she was just brimming with questions for the pirates to answer!
At this time Sam had entered the room with a tray full of food and she set it down on the table. "Okay, you guys are lucky we make enough food to feed a village so help yourselves."  She said simply in a slightly uncaring tone, despite the group of strangers in the room.  On the table was one large bowl over filled with fried and seasoned Brussels Sprouts.  Along with that there was another large bowl full of meatless pasta, accompanied with several forks and empty bowls.
Teri (who was still ticked at Mac) grabbed an empty bowl and filled it with nothing but the Brussel Sprouts while Mac only filled her bowl with pasta, Alex on the other hand was quiet as he waited to hear possible answers to all the questions that had been posed earlier.  Out of all the questions that were asked from the group, currently only one caught the attention of every child as well as Sam. And that was the question of the missing animals.  At this the three kids got quiet, very much so while Sam, simply adjusted her beanie and left the room in silence.
The kids didn't' say anything for a moment as they looked at one another as if silently asking who would speak first and soon enough Mac put down her bowl of pasta while keeping her eyes on the floor.  "We think something did happen.  Whatever it is it's not good, or at least we don't think it is, though the adults say otherwise.  We know this place is called Silent Isle, but for out entire lives it was anything but silent, with the jungle only a few miles away from us it was always noisy day in and day out.  But recently..."
Before Mac could finish what she was saying, the main door opened once again and a woman stepped into the home.  She was letting out a small hum as she walked further into the household after closing the door.  She almost walked by the group of strangers on her way to the kitchen, but just before she could. She saw them out of the corner of her eye and came to a complete stop right at the door to the living room.  After blinking numerous times she turned her head and looked in, only for her eyes to be greeted with the sight of these strangers.  She was completely caught off guard by the group, having never seen such characters in the village before suspicion immediately arose in her.  "I haven't seen you here before, you must be from that shi-...."  Before she finished her sentence she stopped dead as her eyes just now landed on Xiao.  Pure silence followed for a few moments before a squeal of delight left the woman.  "YOU ARE SO FLUFFY!!!!"  She exclaimed in joy, in a moment she passed by everyone and went up to Xiao and simply hugged him.  "YOU FEEL JUST AS FLUFFY TO!!! OH GODS THIS IS JUST AMAZING!"  She exclaimed in pure delight while she nuzzled the panda completely delighted at this moment.
Alex who jumped at the loud noise from the woman scratched his shoulder and looked at everyone.  "Sorry um, that's Rosa, she is the one that runs the house."  He said with a light smile.
Rosa tightened the hug on Xiao for a few more moment before letting go and smiling, though after a second she had to get another hug in and so she did.  "So soft, even better than I thought~"  She said with a smile before finally letting go for real this time around.  "Normally I would be mad at bringing so many people in here but who could say no to such a fluffy panda???" She said as clapped her hands together once before her eyes went over Mac and Teri.  "Hm?  Whats with the serious face? I'm not mad this time around about you bringing strangers into the house~"
"Its nothing...."
"We were about to talk about the animals."
At this Rosa sighed and shook her head.  "I've told you and so has everyone else, the animals are fine~ They just migrated~"  She hummed happily simply dismissing anything that could have been wrong with the wildlife, and just chalking it up to the easiest explanation out there.
"But, Ixy was a house cat, why would she migrate?"
"She ran away, and you couldn't find her. We went over this a month ago.  We have guest don't get all somber okay?"  Rosa said with a bright smile.   Mac and Teri both looked at each other for a moment before grumbling under their breath and giving a reluctant nod.
"Okay Miss Rosa."
Alex fumbled with his hands a bit as he kept his head down.  "We still don't believe, accept, buy that all those animals migrated though.......it...doesn't make much sense..."
Cait Merlin
Cait rolled her eyes at Keya's bad joke and flashed Alex a sisterly smile as he sat down next to her. She let out a quick sigh after his question, but her face didn't look offended by it. She really wanted to answer the boys question, but couldn't because she was peppered with more questions by Mac. Then she couldn't answer those questions right away because of other things. "Thanks," Cait said to Sam as the fishwoman loaded her bowl with an even serving of pasta and Brussel spouts. Once the room quieted down, Cait thought that this was her chance to answer some questions, but the kids were so quiet and somber that she wondered what they were thinking about.
As Cait waited for the kids to speak, she noticed Rosa walk in. At first it looked like she would be mad at the kids until she noticed Xiao. Cait was a bit surprised by the eccentric hug, but she was a little glad that she hadn't been the intended target. She felt a little sorry for Xiao though, he was probably destined to get that kind of reaction everywhere. Cait raised an eyebrows in confusion as Rosa and the kids briefly argued about what happened to the animals. She agreed with Alex. It didn't make sense.
Cait picked up her guitar case and opened it, reveling a regular guitar with a Celtic knot pattern on it. She started to strum a pleasant sounding song, but she wasn't trying to lighten the mood. Her guitar may not be a weapon, but you can do some pretty creative things with music. In spy-like fashion, Cait was aiming to fill the room and house with music so that Rosa would hear that instead of the conversation about the missing animals. For some reason Rosa was adamant that the animals simply migrated. Either she knew the truth, or was simply repeating what she had been told. Cait wondered if the children would catch on to what she was doing with her music, but even if they didn't they could talk a bit more privately for awhile. "What do you think happened to the animals?" she asked the kids.
Seth awoke from his slumber. In fact he had been half conscious the whole time. Somehow his mind had processed everything that had been said and now all the answers were flooding out at once in a waterfall of words  " ajhdbefyv Spelled with an E, not an I lajbdlahfk I was a Leader once, you know? asdaybeyjf. Sora won't let me, but wa dahdvasd. yes, this one time we jnfuybff hfsbeuy. He saw the lady hug Xiao and suddenly he wanted that too. He hopped over and went in for it. "asvbkbv AndthenCaitwoulddohersharknado. And then- And then- ... And then" He slowed down completely as his cheek rested comfortably against Xiao's fur. Just now he realized he was out of breath. He took a deep one. And another one. "You're so soft Panda-sensei. I mean bad-ass of course, bad ass. And wise. Thank you for calming me down. Please don't ever migrate." Awkwardly he let go and slowly walked back to his seat. He was about as zen as he could get at the moment. He had probably spouted enough of his conversational skill for the moment. He looked to the children and waited for them to tell them their version of the story. Maybe it was aliens? Without fully knowing it Sétanta's zen moment was already disrupted again.
Elijah Baden
Elijah followed everyone into the hut, placing his bag of supplies right outside of the door. As he entered, he looked around at the decor of the home, the living room they were now in feeling snug, yet homely. It almost felt similar to his own house in his hometown, where he had lived with his family. They would always try to fit into their small living room to play family games, such as Lucky Dice, one of his and his father's favorite games. That was mostly where he had learned to gamble, and he was thankful for the lesson he had received that way.
Eli began to pull at the gauntlets that covered his arms, unlatching them. "Thank you for the hospitality." As he unlatched one of the gauntlets from his arms, it fell with a hearty thud to the floor, and he began to work on pulling the other one off as he listened to his crew and the little kids chat. He didn't feel like he could add much to the conversation. He didn't feel much sympathy for Cait, as she had a good idea that her mother was at least still alive. So she at least could look forward to embracing her kin. He could connect more with Toad and the other children, though he was unsure if their folks had met an untimely fate like his had. He grunted as the other contraption fell off his arms and onto the floor. He bent down and picked them up, placing them by the mantle along the wall of the room, and then leaning against the stonework as Cait and Xiao entertained the kids.
Elijah took a moment to acknowledge Seth, who he gave a sneer. "I won't answer it because, it won't be 'wasting time'. It will be 'wasting breath' on an arrogant little shit, won't it?" He shrugged his shoulders, chuckling. "Sorry, buddy. Didn't mean to get off on the wrong foot with you."
As Cait talked about her past, he gave a quick huff of breath. "I'm sure half the people here have a sad story in their life. Isn't that how it usually goes for us pirates? I don't know about any of you, but I'm out here for only three things: to get revenge, to become a renown shipwright like my momma was, and to live my life to the fullest." Elijah reached into his pocket and pulled out a small flask, the last of the alcohol he had on him as he hadn't been able to pick up any more. He twisted the top open and took a quick swig before closing and pocketing it once more. "And get drunk sometimes.
Elijah took a few steps over to one of the couches, sitting down and extending his legs out under the table in front of him. He leaned back, pushing some of his hair out of his face. His arms glistened with sweat from the heat outside, but he flashed a toothy grin. "But that's all just me. My momma and dadda worked together as shipwrights in my hometown, and made beautiful ships. No joke. Fantastic things, that glided through the seas with such grace you couldn't help but drop your jaw in awe! They took whatever job they could get, as to raise me and my three sisters. My mother was the main shipwright, while my father managed the business side of things. Man, were they the perfect team. They teased one another like they had been doing it all their lives, but always loved one another. My mother taught me almost everything I know now about ship-building, repair, and maintenance. She taught me how to fight as well, giving me some pointers to win over others in a street fight. I even developed my own way of fighting, which she was proud of. My father taught me about managing money and buying supplies, as well as how to...make some extra cash." Elijah gave the kids a curious look. "I'm hoping you kids never get into gambling." He laughed loudly, and continued talking about his past. "My sisters learned some tricks about the trade, but they took interests in other things. I was the one who helped my momma with all the work on the ships. I never asked who they were for, I just built them. One day...the Navy showed up. They surrounded our little dock property, and attempted to arrest my parents. Apparently, we had made a few pirate ships, and in exchange for lighter sentences, some pirates sold out my mother. She made good ships, maybe even better than some Navy vessels, so this of course pissed off the World Government. They sent some people to...take care of my family. Of course, my mother was feisty, and she fought back against the officers. Well..." Elijah looked around, and sighed, rubbing his forehead. "I should stop, huh. Not exactly a nice story.
The shipwright laughed, and proceeded to lift up his tank top, revealing more of his chiseled body. The two huge scars that ran across his chest glowed faintly against his tanner skin, and a small, circular scar could be seen in the center of his chest. "Anyways, I got these scars on that day from a Navy officer. The circular scar was after one officer shot me. A miracle I survived, but my momma didn't raise a weak man. She wanted me to be tough!" Another booming laugh, Elijah licked his lips as food was brought out. As it was placed in front of all of them, Elijah rubbed his hands together greedily. "And now it's time to chow down!" Grabbing a bowl and a fork, he filled his bowl with both pasta and brussel sprouts. He began scarfing down the food, barely breathing.
"Moomma sef awfay et till you caft no morf!" Elijah took a huge gulp, and let out a satisfied sigh. "All you kids can grow big and strong, like me!" Elijah flexed his muscles. "Of course, I'm not sure if you could handle this brave warriors training!" Elijah filled his bowl up once again with pasta, and began devouring it in huge mouthfuls. When he finished his bowl, and placed it on the table and patted his stomach. "Wew! Thanks for the meal, Beanie Girl!" He had shouted at Sam, as he had forgotten her name. As he wiped the pasta sauce off form around his mouth, he turned to the kids. "I noticed that there was a lack of meat. So the hunters aren't doing their jobs? What lazy shits. Why not just go out intot he forest for a few weeks and look for the animals?"
I'm no where near that strong. I wish I was but I'm not...Teri and Mac are the brave warriors, I'm their assistant, helper, the one that stands on the side lines. So...I couldn't handle the training, but I could cheer the other two on because they could do it easily."
At Elijah's question Alex didn't say anything for at this time Mac was already beginning to tell everyone what was going on.  However before she could get to the important part Rosa had arrived and stopped from further explanation despite how much the children wish to continue.  Alex was goin to let it go, however Cait provide a small distraction with her music, and this gave him a chance.  Reaching forward he grabbed a Brussel Sprout and pretended to nibble on it, but really he was speaking to Cait quietly, very much so that only the ones on the couch could hear, even then they would have to strain their ears a bit.
"We don't know, well, we think we might know, but we aren't certain..."  He started off as he bushed his back into the couch.  "We just know something isn't right, the hunters just gave up hunting one day, they refused to go into the jungle, claiming, stating, swearing that all their prey had migrated.  Not everyone believed them, but the jungle where the animals live is too dangerous for the average villager to go to. Meaning no one could go in and see what was happening there."  He said softly before glancing up at Rosa to make sure that she didn't hear him, which she didn't.  "Shortly, not long, soon after that animals of all kinds left.  Our house cat, and other pets, would go missing without a trace.  We um....we think they might have been taken."  After saying this he took a small bite of his food and kept his head down really hoping Cait heard him despite how quiet he was, seeing as he didn't want to get in trouble with Rosa, he didn't want to be any louder.
"For months a ship would come to our island, but never land at the docks.  It would go to the far side of the island, stay there for a few days then leave. It wasn't a trading ship, it didn't' have any kind of flag.  Last month we saw it come to the island, but...its never left, its the only ship besides yours that has come in the past month, not even the trading ships have come here recently.  Even though they used to come at least once every other week.  A-And even weirder, um.... Mac claims she saw a monster two weeks ago steal one of the last dogs in the village before heading to the jungle, but...no one believes her.  Expect Teri and me of course.  Everyone else says she saw shadows.  I-I....we think someone is taking all our animals but...we don't know why.  I just hope they are okay..." He whispered before he went back to nibbling his food, while glancing at Cait hoping she heard everything he had to say.
The panda smiled as Keya jumped on his shoulder and hugged him. "Of course you're awesome. I never doubted that" he said with a chuckle. The dwarf was even more energetic than the kids, and that said something. Speaking of the kids, Xiao found them more amusing every second that passed. The way they acted like adults, like they were doing serious stuff, was adorable.
Growl!
Xiao was hungry. The mentioning of food only increased his apetite. Nonetheless, he couldn't help but notice that, despite its simplicity, the room in which they were led was quite elegant and very clean. The panda wanted to comment on that aspect, but then Keya just had to ask that silly question regarding the acronym of the kid's group. He sighed.
"Keya, what have you done?" he thought to himself. With her question, the dwarf was most likely going to become the cause of a really awkward atmosphere. Could he do nothing to stop it from happening? He had to be quick.  Fortunately something came to mind.
"Leaving the acronym aside, the name of your group makes me think that the animals around here are in danger. I hope I am mistaken though" he said, becoming very serious.
When the group entered the living room alone with the kids, they would see a several kids drawing hanged up on the walls.  A few toys lay about the floor here and there from a doll to a small replica of the sea train. The room itself was as clean as a public room in a house full of children could really be. Floors washed and shiny, the walls that didn't have pictures on them were dusted and free of any stains and crayon marks.  The couches, chairs as well as the table was in good condition, with the table in the middle of the room being recently washed.  The room itself was large enough for the entire group of pirates as well as the kids to be in without feeling suffocated.
Once the kids entered the room they went to the chair closet to the window and Mac, being the first one in was the one that got in the chair.  Much to the other two boys disappointment.  "You always get the best chair, share already."  Teri grumbled as he lightly kicked the chair which only made Mac smirk as she straightened her back in a show of pride.
"Of course I get this seat, I'm the leader so of course I get the best seat in the house."
"Can't we switch the role of leader? I bet I would make a really good leader."
"Nu huh, we agreed I would be it so I will stay it."
"That's because we thought being leader was only work, if we knew that you get all good stuff because you are the leader I would have wanted the role."
"Ha! Well to bad, besides the leader does take a lot of work."
"Oh ya?  Exactly what have you done as our leader?"
"........Stuff, now shhh I don't have time for a munity when we got other people here."  Mac said with a grin on her face.
"If I was the leader we would have a different name, at the very least a different acronym."
"There is nothing wrong with our current one! I put a lot of thought into it and I like it!"
"Ya you might have but your new friend can't stop giggling at it.  It sounds soooo stupid."
"Really?  Well....well....your face is stupid!"
"My face has nothing to do with this! I'm talking about the name of our group!  If we are talking about stupid faces you should go looking in a mirror!"
"Ha! The person that needs a mirror is you! I've seen fishes that have better skin then you!"
"Ya? Well jokes on you fish don't have skin they have scales! Scales that look just like your face!!"
"No it doesnt'!"
"Yes it does!!"
While those two argued Alex simply ignored them and went over to the couch deeming this the place for him to sit.  Wanting to make sure everyone had a place he went ahead and sat next to Cait so he wouldn't take up too much room and so he could possibly ask her a few questions since he was very curious about the half fishwoman.  Before he could ask her to clarify what she was, Cait freely explained it to him (much to his joy as he didn't want to appear rude for not understanding it when Teri told him).  He listen to the musician quietly, when she was done speaking a smile went on his face.  "Wow that sounds a lot like one of the stories Rosa reads to us from time to time.  But it has a magic fish that grants wishes instead of a mermaid, and the fisherman was a mean grumpy man that was really greedy, not your dad I mean the fisherman in the book that was read to me." He stated hoping he didn't accidently insult Cait.  "Um...I actually...don't mind, I'm okay with, I like to listen to um...mushy stuff... I know that's a girl thing but I still like it sometimes.  As long as it isn't very mushy."  He said softly as he looked down feeling a bit embarrassed to say that.   "Um but if I can ask...did your dad not get a happily ever after like the stories?  Since you said it was sad, tragic, not good?"  He asked curiously now peaking back at Cait.  "I hope it wasn't too bad, but it must not have been good if you are looking, searching, seeking your mother."  He said remembering what Xaio had said on the porch before they had all entered the house, about how he will help her find her mother.
Before Cait could answer his question however Mac (who was now giving Teri the silent treatment) looked at Cait and hopped at the chance to ask her some questions.  "Have you gone on a huge adventures yet?  Or gotten a bounty?  Did you beat up any marines or even pirates?  I heard there are these guys and women out there that are emperors or something did you kick their butts yet?  Are you super powerful?  Can you make people faint just by screaming at them?  What about your guitar? Is it a super strong secret weapon in the shape of a normal guitar????"  She asked in an excited tone. Having read so many stories about pirates and even  adventurers she was just brimming with questions for the pirates to answer!
At this time Sam had entered the room with a tray full of food and she set it down on the table. "Okay, you guys are lucky we make enough food to feed a village so help yourselves."  She said simply in a slightly uncaring tone, despite the group of strangers in the room.  On the table was one large bowl over filled with fried and seasoned Brussels Sprouts.  Along with that there was another large bowl full of meatless pasta, accompanied with several forks and empty bowls.
Teri (who was still ticked at Mac) grabbed an empty bowl and filled it with nothing but the Brussel Sprouts while Mac only filled her bowl with pasta, Alex on the other hand was quiet as he waited to hear possible answers to all the questions that had been posed earlier.  Out of all the questions that were asked from the group, currently only one caught the attention of every child as well as Sam. And that was the question of the missing animals.  At this the three kids got quiet, very much so while Sam, simply adjusted her beanie and left the room in silence.
The kids didn't' say anything for a moment as they looked at one another as if silently asking who would speak first and soon enough Mac put down her bowl of pasta while keeping her eyes on the floor.  "We think something did happen.  Whatever it is it's not good, or at least we don't think it is, though the adults say otherwise.  We know this place is called Silent Isle, but for out entire lives it was anything but silent, with the jungle only a few miles away from us it was always noisy day in and day out.  But recently..."
Before Mac could finish what she was saying, the main door opened once again and a woman stepped into the home.  She was letting out a small hum as she walked further into the household after closing the door.  She almost walked by the group of strangers on her way to the kitchen, but just before she could. She saw them out of the corner of her eye and came to a complete stop right at the door to the living room.  After blinking numerous times she turned her head and looked in, only for her eyes to be greeted with the sight of these strangers.  She was completely caught off guard by the group, having never seen such characters in the village before suspicion immediately arose in her.  "I haven't seen you here before, you must be from that shi-...."  Before she finished her sentence she stopped dead as her eyes just now landed on Xiao.  Pure silence followed for a few moments before a squeal of delight left the woman.  "YOU ARE SO FLUFFY!!!!"  She exclaimed in joy, in a moment she passed by everyone and went up to Xiao and simply hugged him.  "YOU FEEL JUST AS FLUFFY TO!!! OH GODS THIS IS JUST AMAZING!"  She exclaimed in pure delight while she nuzzled the panda completely delighted at this moment.
Alex who jumped at the loud noise from the woman scratched his shoulder and looked at everyone.  "Sorry um, that's Rosa, she is the one that runs the house."  He said with a light smile.
Rosa tightened the hug on Xiao for a few more moment before letting go and smiling, though after a second she had to get another hug in and so she did.  "So soft, even better than I thought~"  She said with a smile before finally letting go for real this time around.  "Normally I would be mad at bringing so many people in here but who could say no to such a fluffy panda???" She said as clapped her hands together once before her eyes went over Mac and Teri.  "Hm?  Whats with the serious face? I'm not mad this time around about you bringing strangers into the house~"
"Its nothing...."
"We were about to talk about the animals."
At this Rosa sighed and shook her head.  "I've told you and so has everyone else, the animals are fine~ They just migrated~"  She hummed happily simply dismissing anything that could have been wrong with the wildlife, and just chalking it up to the easiest explanation out there.
"But, Ixy was a house cat, why would she migrate?"
"She ran away, and you couldn't find her. We went over this a month ago.  We have guest don't get all somber okay?"  Rosa said with a bright smile.   Mac and Teri both looked at each other for a moment before grumbling under their breath and giving a reluctant nod.
"Okay Miss Rosa."
Alex fumbled with his hands a bit as he kept his head down.  "We still don't believe, accept, buy that all those animals migrated though.......it...doesn't make much sense..."
Cait Merlin
Cait rolled her eyes at Keya's bad joke and flashed Alex a sisterly smile as he sat down next to her. She let out a quick sigh after his question, but her face didn't look offended by it. She really wanted to answer the boys question, but couldn't because she was peppered with more questions by Mac. Then she couldn't answer those questions right away because of other things. "Thanks," Cait said to Sam as the fishwoman loaded her bowl with an even serving of pasta and Brussel spouts. Once the room quieted down, Cait thought that this was her chance to answer some questions, but the kids were so quiet and somber that she wondered what they were thinking about.
As Cait waited for the kids to speak, she noticed Rosa walk in. At first it looked like she would be mad at the kids until she noticed Xiao. Cait was a bit surprised by the eccentric hug, but she was a little glad that she hadn't been the intended target. She felt a little sorry for Xiao though, he was probably destined to get that kind of reaction everywhere. Cait raised an eyebrows in confusion as Rosa and the kids briefly argued about what happened to the animals. She agreed with Alex. It didn't make sense.
Cait picked up her guitar case and opened it, reveling a regular guitar with a Celtic knot pattern on it. She started to strum a pleasant sounding song, but she wasn't trying to lighten the mood. Her guitar may not be a weapon, but you can do some pretty creative things with music. In spy-like fashion, Cait was aiming to fill the room and house with music so that Rosa would hear that instead of the conversation about the missing animals. For some reason Rosa was adamant that the animals simply migrated. Either she knew the truth, or was simply repeating what she had been told. Cait wondered if the children would catch on to what she was doing with her music, but even if they didn't they could talk a bit more privately for awhile. "What do you think happened to the animals?" she asked the kids.
Seth let out an irritated sigh. He didn't really like this presumptions drunk guy. "Listen to the such-a-shame-she-can't-talk-to-sharks lady. We're not defying any orders. Please define "wasting time". Oh, and "the rest of us", since you're not with many. Or do you have a split personality? Never mind answering any of that. It would "waste time", which could be better spend on our holy mission: finding Cait's Ma. There will be many opportunities on the way to show your Sharknado, right Cait? Or even better, do it now! ... please. I can't stand this suspense." He pulled himself together just in time before his voice would become incomprehensible once again. "No, it's fine. It can wait. The longer the wait, the sweater the reward, right?" He left the last words hanging in the air. He would keep his mouth shut for a while. Patience is a virtue. Keep calm and- "Oh, and by the way, your nicknaming could use some ... polishing, Tinkerbell." Ha, that would teach him.
When Seth looked inside the living room he was a bit underwhelmed. It looked nothing like the image he made up in his head with a lot of computers, a big evil chair and lots of laser shooting sharks. The chairs in this room didn't even look remotely evil. "Please tell me there is a secret lair behind that fireplace." Seth begged. He was on the verge of a depression now. Then he heard the name of the association and he was immediately cured. "You guys should immediately fire your sales manager, and hire a new one. Me for instance. I was a sales manager once, you know? Let me tell you exactly why the name is terrible. First of all, as my colleague, and friend, Keya so eloquently put it, it can lead to some ... rather unwanted side thoughts. Second of all, anyone who hears it will have their own thoughts of what R.F.A.P. stands for. Maybe they will think it's "Respect For Angry Pickles". Or "Resolve Flashlight Abuse Program", which in my opinion is also really important, but maybe not really what you're going for here. They could even think you mean "Rotational Forces Allocation Process" and you definitely don't want that. People will fall asleep before you can explain anything. Thirdly, it's just plain bad. You really couldn't come up with anything better. Like: "Young, Overly Lovable Organization". Or "Organization for Macro-biological Guarding", which basically means animal protection as well, but maybe it's a tad too sassy. And what about "Poaching, Exploitation, Disregardation Irradication Syndicate", though that may be a bit extreme for you. Maybe if we find an alternative for the "disregardation" that would actually exist as word, it would be more suitable ... hmmm ..." Seth was lost in thought as the conversations around him seemed to continue.
Seth awoke from his slumber. In fact he had been half conscious the whole time. Somehow his mind had processed everything that had been said and now all the answers were flooding out at once in a waterfall of words  " ajhdbefyv Spelled with an E, not an I lajbdlahfk I was a Leader once, you know? asdaybeyjf. Sora won't let me, but wa dahdvasd. yes, this one time we jnfuybff hfsbeuy. Emperor Ermine jfliwuagbln " He got up and dartled around Cait's Gitar pointing at things and shouting inaudible exclamations of enthusiasm. "Awesome! rlgrbajgn neakfhfvka lasers asjdbej." He saw the lady hug Xiao and suddenly he wanted that too. He hopped over and went in for it. "asvbkbv AndthenCaitwoulddohersharknado. And then- And then- ... And then" He slowed down completely as his cheek rested comfortably against Xiao's fur. Just now he realized he was out of breath. He took a deep one. And another one. "You're so soft Panda-sensei. I mean bad-ass of course, bad ass. And wise. Thank you for calming me down. Please don't ever migrate." Awkwardly he let go and slowly walked back to his seat. He was about as zen as he could get at the moment. He had probably spouted enough of his conversational skill for the moment. He looked to the children and waited for them to tell them their version of the story. Maybe it was aliens? Without fully knowing it Sétanta's zen moment was already disrupted again.
Keya Fenris
Keya was of course happy when Xiao had called her awesome earlier, 'course she knew she was but it was nice if other people thought so too. She eventually stopped laughing, though occasionally giggled. She smiled at the kids arguing about the chair and the leader position. Earlier they were so serious, but it seemed when you got down to it they really were just a group of concerned little kids. Soon enough food was brought in and Keya immediately craned her attention to it. She was however a little upset, all of it was huge! Normally that would be fine, if it was something she liked or..really anything relatively easy to eat. But these were Brussel sprouts and pasta, heck the sprout was almost as big as her. She sighed gently and hopped down and over to the food, trying to figure out the best way to eat. She wanted some of both things, so she had to think hard. She climbed onto the bowl the brussel sprouts were in and grabbed one, followed by moving to the noodle bowl and pulling two over the edge which she sat by. Food issue solved she started eating with the sprout, humming lightly in satisfaction.
When Xiao intervened about her joke she pouted a little...though was also interested in his question. Now, Keya wasn't one to care to deeply about..well..basically anything but herself and the crew, but this did seem like an important issue. Not to mention she loved animals, especially since panda man was one too! Well, technically. Half animal....eh Keya was sure he'd fall under the acronym protection agency thingy. She focused on the kids speaking nonetheless, though soon turned to Rosa. She of course started laughing when she hugged Xiao, repeatedly, and kind of just held it. She had to admit she did like hugging Xiao, he was so fluffy and warm. It did seem highly suspicious to her when Rosa just brushed it off about the animals migrating. It wasn't really normal for an entire island's animals to migrate, Keya knew that much and she wasn't even that smart.
She only silently nodded in agreement with Alex, not believing Rosa either. For the most part she ignored Seth's random rambling, or at-least as far as paying attention and commenting worked. She did however find it highly amusing. When he hugged Xiao and mentioned him not migrating she grinned, "Yeah panda-man! Don't migrate ever!" She insisted. Seth was awkward about it it seemed but Keya didn't really mind at all.
Cait Merlin
Cait periodically nodded as she continued to strum on her guitar in order to hide the conversation. As she listened, she wondered why someone would want to steal all the animals from an island. Whoever it was, he or she must be very influential to keep people believing in a very fishy sounding cover story. Cait wasn't sure what the monster was, in the eyes of a child anything from a scary man, someone with Devil Fruit powers, to a literal monster from elsewhere in the Blues would be frightening enough for the "monster" title. But even though she didn't fully understand what was going on, she was more inclined to believe the kids than the adults on the island.
After hearing Alex's account of what was going on around the island, one question burned in her heart. Was her mother on the strange ship? It wouldn't surprise her if her fishwoman ma was being treated like an animal. Cait could easily imagine her mother in a big cage. She stopped playing her guitar and clenched her fist, she also grit her teeth and angrily put her guitar back in it's case; she hated the mental image.
Cait stood up with a determined look on her face and an angry glint in her eyes as she swung her guitar case over her shoulder. "If my mom is anywhere on this island, it's probably on that ship," she said. "But even if she's not here at all, something fishy is going on around here and it isn't me. I'd like to get to the bottom of this." She glanced over at the kids and then looked back at her crew. "I'm not the captain, so I won't force you to come with me. But the way I see it, if we don't get to the bottom of this, no one will. As pirates we form our own path. No one tells us what to do or believe in."
Cait turned her attention to her panda-man friend. In a way they would be kindred spirits on this mission (if he decided to come along), they both would have a decent sized target on their back. "Weather you come with me or not, as things stand now it looks like you and I will have to watch each other's back," she said to Xiao. Cait then made her way toward the doorway and stopped to look at the kids. "Alex, Terri, Mac, I promise I'll bring back your animal friends," she added, before talking one more look at the crew. "As I said, I won't force you to come with me, but you will be missing out on a fun beatdown....and maybe a sharknado," Cait said with a shark-toothed grin.
After saying what was on her mind, Cait walked out of door and began to march toward the other side of the island, giving her crew mates only a few minutes to think about their next move if they wanted to catch up with her.
