Nox snapped her eye shut.
"Just checking. You know the last time you asked me to have sex with you, there was an eclipse that lasted for a month, right after that feast in your honor. The humans were furious. This time, there's no mortals to torture in your place, Dini. I will not be drinking with you because I'm looking for a god of justice, law or retribution. Know anyone?"

"Now see here Arabella. I haven't had a chance to chat with you since the Holocaust. How's life been? Still suffering?" Nox glided to her side. She was genuinely interested in Arabelle.
(oh gods, Nox seems rather desperate for Arabelle's attention. Hitch might need to acquaint himself."

[QUOTE="Paint The Wind]"As always." she said with a sigh. "How are you?"

"I am doing just fine. Trying to keep the cosmos from committing suicide as usual. I swear you children are always so ready to cause each other pain. I am sorry that you have to endure the way you do. You know you can always give me some of that pain if you want."

"Oh flattery... It almost convinces me of your innocence. If that is the case, and she is working towards some kind of scheme to preserve - then i must naturally align myself with her. Splendid, and here I was thinking I could have the night off... Maybe taunt the dog some more, maybe finally go finish my rooms. No rest for the well intentioned I suppose. You will keep me updated, wont you? I might just bring you a gift should we ever talk again... It might even be cake. What did you say the name of this 'Hero' was?" He bent down to grin at her, smiling while he absentmindedly poked one of the morons dotting the floor with his umbrella.
Nacht's ees flashed a brighter red and her smile widened as she saw the umbrella. Her claws came out of her pawed sleeves and she moved fast, appearing behind Hitch with the umbrella. She giggled, balancing it on her head quite well. "I was told his name was.... Jaime!" She said, moving left and right a bit to keep the umbrella balanced.

"I have to stay strong. I'm alright, it's been long enough that I've just gotten used to the pain."

((Not desperate really. Arabelle is uniquely gifted to feel something akin to how Nox feels whenever she think about the end of the universe and feels a world or star die within her body.))

"I know. I just can't help but ask. You remind me a lot of myself sometimes." Nox's aura weighed down heavily as she stroked Arabelle's cheek softly, before she herself back together.

"I actually have something to do, and I need my Candles." She turned away and addressed every god but Arabelle.

"Which one of you ungrateful little crumbsnatchers knows where my Candles are?!? I am growing tired of waiting." The there was a flash of darkness as if lightning made of antimatter had just struck.

His smile devolved slightly into a grimace, as he breathed out through his nose rather loudly... his eyes closed with the motion as he lifted his free hand to rub his temple. He let her play with the umbrella, thinking it best to placate her into conformity for as long as possible... "do you have any... idea... of the sheer... scope of 'Jamie's' that meander about this planet? Have anything else? facebook account? Gmail account? Country? City? Street? Surname? social security number? finger print? DNA!?" He took a deep breath. "If you don't mind...?" It would have been apparent to even a moron that it nearly caused him pain to reform the smile from earlier.

Arabelle blushed a little. Nox truly was beautiful. Another wave of pain rushed over her and she gasped, staggering backwards and doubling over.

"Hey, if you like stuff like that so much, would your fear be the deletion of all that? Even if it isnt possible, would it scare you?" She asked, jumping and watching the umbrella in the air before catching it and giggled. "Why do you care about this plan anyway, mister mister? You have a cool umbrella!" She exclaimed and hugged the thing.

"Oh I don't know. They're only floating black candles that reconstruct the melted wax as they burn with pure white flames. At this point, there should be three of them. They are extremely cold and dangerous even for gods. That's why I'm looking for a god of justice; generally they can shield themselves from their most dangerous influence: their ability to cast doubt."

He bent down towards her, and as he did that his pupils contracted until they were little more than dots in the sky blue surrounds, all pretense of joviality fell away as the cellphones in the area all began screaming, the streetlights flickered erratically, the car alarms all went off. just as his face reached a few centimeters from hers all of the noise and chaos reached a peak and the lights all blew and the electronics became corrupted. It was suddenly very dark around them and only one of the phones that fell out of the hands of one of the unconscious remained functioning, leaving an eery light to cast shadows on his face. "I always have back-ups."

The next moment a 'ding' was heard and his face became impassive once more. his stood up straight, moving the umbrella away from her, and hanging it on his arm. He read the text before turning his eyes back to her - "It was a long shot, but i ran through the entirety of the words security footage, created a facial recognition algorithm to identify NOX and it picked her up, after which i ran through the local database systems and found a list of local Jamies. A few hundred, should not take too long - she was bound to leave some sort of mark. As to why? Because I hate ambiguity, and this plan is rife with it. Tah." He dissipated just as the three on the ground finished the end title song from My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic, and began to wake up.

Nacht blinked, looking around. What just happened? She saw them start to wake up and she grinned, backing out of sight. Nightmares were going to be fun to construct! But aww, the umbrella was gone!

"Never seen em" Vayne shrugged.

"I know that!" She snapped and darkness flashed again.

"Why don't you just stay quiet while I'm here." She was not in the mood to deal with attitude right now.

"Dionysus, take me to a god of justice, right now."

"You done asked where yer damn candles were, I was just tryin' t' help. Sheesh" She leaned against the wall.

Nox didn't even twitch as a few hundred spikes, lances, javelins and spears of pure darkness shot out of Vayne's shadow and curled inward aiming for every part of her before fading away again. Left around her was a distinct aura of foreboding and forbidding.

"Naughty children should be seen and not heard. I will only endure so much disrespect in one day before somebody loses a head and their immortality." Her voice was completely even and appeared to be directed at the air.

Nox temper had grown shorter after a deity free century. They always knew the perfect way to bring out the worst in her.

'Pathetic little ticks. They should count their lucky stars that the First had the foresight to include them in the Deal, or I'd kill them all, sometimes.'

(I realized I have yet to make a mature character. I wouldnt really call Daimon mature with his constant temper. I had Morgana in the last thread, I guess she died or something)

Vayne flinched back, her eyes widening in alarm. The fuck?! She narrowed her eyes at Nox, then she turned and walked away. Fuck drinking, she'd find something else to do! Not like Virian was going to get to the booze anytime soon.

((Lol. No you didn't. Nox is going to make an example out of several gods until everyone remembers why they could relax so much when she left the last time. Vayne was just a little too much teenager for her))

[QUOTE="Paint The Wind]Arabelle rolled her eyes at the two and turned to Tyr. "How about that tea." she said softly.

"I think Virian might have some."

"Well, Tyr is a god of law, aren't you?" The wine god said, turning to the god in question. Tyr looked back at him and then turned his head towards Nox.

"Uh, yeah. Why do you ask?"
