Fantasy Welcome to the Pantheon (Reboot - Always Accepting!)

[QUOTE="RedTeam Grif]"I will not. Besides, I can only eat organic matter" He said. "Do you want him to learn basic animal behavior first or survival?"

Hitch ripped himself from his shock, and used the aid offered by HAL to push himself upwards, Petting his head when he was finally upright. "I wan't him to experience what it means to be like any other animal. To experience the world, understand and appreciate it just like they would. Then I want him to interact with it in the way most other's would - or at least as much as possible. Most importantly however, I need him to understand when he must be aggressive, and when he must be meek. I don't often do meek, and when I do it is often a Lie. If he interacts with the world in the same way I do - he will die... which I would like to avoid." While Hitch spoke Hal walked over to Daimon, and started to imitate his pose.

"Tch. Annoying. Come Griever, and shed your tears upon the battlefield." She engulfed herself in a void as she wove a wave of sorrowful shadows. The flames died away.
Flicking her wrists as if she were shooing a child, she summoned forth a Tsunami of crushing Void energy and cast it at Ilim's towering form.
Ilim braced himself with a wall of protective flame and countered by destroying the ceiling and floating into the sky, throwing fire balls as big as houses at her. His fire was radiating outwards like a desert sun.

"In the beginning", he quoted. "There was only darkness and chaos. And the chaos beget the First. The First was genderless and its name was Mir. And Mir was the universe."

Deciding to let him have his moment in the sun, ((lol)) Nox stayed on the ground and meerly leaned back into a hammock of shadow.

"Before there was a beginning, there was and was not me. In the moments before the beginning, I was. In the beginning, there was all I was and all I was not. From what I was came the First. From what I was not and what Mir could not hope to be, came Nox. As more came into being, Mir became known as the He to my She. The second to emerge was Fyre, Ilim." Nox corrected him.

She called forth a hole in space and sent the fireballs elsewhere in the universe where they lost their momentum and spun lazily, slowly drawing in debris that they would one day shape into planets.

"From Mir came the Light, from Ilim came the Flame with both, they crafted the first star." She narrated as Ilim's fireballs converged and became just that.

"But the first star was flawed and ate away it itself. To protect Mir, Nox took this hungry star into herself and made it something else." The fireball nearest Ilim imploded and became a pseudo black hole.

Ilim simply stayed out of the black hole's event horizon and let the Hawking radiation evaporate it after a few seconds.

"Ilim saw the cold and dark of Nox and understood that she was merely the scrap of an old world and he banished her, his light filling all corners of the universe but one. And Chaos birthed a Third. And the Third was female and her name was Davra. And Davra was Time. As Time passed more gods sprung from Chaos' womb and one of them was Den. Den found the banished Nox, and in his folly he brought her back to creation."

Ilim started punching the arena floor, leaving molten craters behind, trying to eliminate all shadows with light.

@FrostXShadow

Liberty was shocked. This guy must have the best sense around. I trained myself for this. He wasn't suppose to know. None of my masters ever knew when I cried.

"How did you know? You weren't suppose to find out. Ive trained so that no-one ever saw me weep. I've worked on this for centuries. How did you know?"

(Last time on "Heavenly".

"Please make love to me Lyker",

"I'm may be a trickster god but I know when to be serious",

"Look me straight in the eye and tell me you aren't scared!". Will Liberty find Lyker still there in the morning?

Will Virian ever admit he was thirsty for Lyker? Will HAL ever be loved? Stay tuned for next time on "Heavenly". *cue the sappy romance soap opera theme music*)

Ilim started punching the arena floor, leaving molten craters behind, trying to eliminate all shadows with light.
"Mir felt the darkness of Nox and knew the truth: All would go from whence it came in the end. In His wisdom, He bid Her wrap Him in Her embrace and shield creation from the Return for as long as She was able. Thus the Deal was struck, and Mir's consciousness retreated to the Heart of All." She enveloped the craters in her grasp and smothered their ruinous heat.

"And thus, the Deal was forgotten. Nox was blamed, for surely her lack of anything could only seek to consume all else. Along came Davra, along came Den. In Den there was hope for a memory. With Den died that last of Nox's hope. So, She stepped down and Faded from the mind." Nox stood and grew to match Ilim in size.

The sky darkened to night and the stars twinkled above. Nox's battle clothes became her Night's Sigh, and the stars in her dress were just as real. The Candles that wee Her clock framed her and she stood face to face with Ilim, her mask removed.

"Never did She falter in her watch. Never would she turn away from the Life she swore to protect. With both eyes closed shut She protects. With both eyes shut she sees ahead and guides. The Candles her only companions and greatest shame, for they tell her failures, they mark even her End." Nox blew away Ilim's extra flames leaving him a a single shining star in a sea of Void.

Nox opened her eyes wide and allowed him an unadulterated glimpse into the Absolute End of All Things, the hungry star he and Mir had created.

"Countless times I tell you this story. Countless times you finally remember and understand. Everyone understands. That is, until I close my eyes, as I must. Then, once again, I am forgotten." Nox smiled sadly, but shed no tears; this was a pain with which she had grown accustomed.

"How I miss the child you used to be."

((Happy medium. Nox gets to tell the real story, and Ilim gets to keep on hating her afterwards without needing to remember. Can I please have this one?))

@FrostXShadow

Crying isn't sexy. Sex. That's all men ever care about! That's all Lyker even cares about. After Lyker leaves, so does Liberty. With a faint shred of dignity he gets his clothing on and leaves the room. He runs to the nearest forest with tears in his eyes and sits down on a log. Fire. I need to get a nice warm fire going if I'm going to cheer myself up....

"I...I remember...I...I am so...alone...Last of the First...M-mo-"

He closed his burning eyes and roared in pain and sorrow. Sorrow for his brother and his sister. Sorrow for his wife and his children. Sorrow for the universe and for the End that he cannot stop. And high up in the sky his pain lit a new star, large and bright. Humans would not see it for three thousand years. But the gods could already see it twinkling as they could see all stars. Mbuku meditating in her shrine felt power course through her veins and shed a single tear. Amanda meditating in her room felt a small spark of fire crackle in her hands and then, just as suddenly, disappear.

Ilim had lessened, shrunk. His fires had died and all that was left was a naked humanoid body, charred and scorched black, softly crying.

(Oh, for a scene they can be a family.)

(Amanda and Jamie still need a conclusion and Ilim will forget everything when Nox closes her eyes.)

Inside Hitch smiled and scorned... It was so easy to manipulate people and things. Especially for him. It was that sad self revelation, and humbling level of self-awareness that prompted this. The sad truth is that if HAL stayed with him, then the dog would become just as manipulative. Just as subversive... "Thank you. Hal, stay with Daimon. I have some work to do. You are to listen and learn from Him. Please be good..." HAL made a mechanical whine, bumping his head against Hitch's hand. "I GOOD, Byork!" Hitch smiled at both, before walking away. HAL looked at Daimon.. "I call you DAIMON?"

Liberty got his supplies ready for his ritual and started the fire. The music helped cheer him. This Canadian band sure knew the way to my heart. Tribal music. He got out a strange bottle of some nasty looking liquid. The bottle was highly decorated in a scary fashion. Skulls, all kinds of stuff. The liquid was neon green glowing and letting out green vapor. It screamed dangerous. He drank the foul looking alcohol with no problems. The liquid made him happy. He smoked a long pipe of some strange looking thing. Not a peacepipe. Not a cigar. Something else. The pipe was highly decorated scarily. He smoked it and blue smoke came out. Before you know it, he's got some animal roasting rotisserie on the fire. How is he eating, smoking, drinking, dancing and siging seemingly all at once?! Those Injuns...

((Thanks))

Nox closed her eyes once again. She shrank and pulled Ilim into a mother's loving embrace. It was in this moment that she shed a tear, watching his anguish so completely bared.

"It's alright my little Spark. This will soon pass; you will forget everything again. Just like all the times before, I will cleanse your heart of much of this sadness. Hush now, dear. Momma's here. Even i only for a moment." She held him to her bosom and rocked slowly.

"I will make everything better. I promise. I will never stop trying. No matter what it may cost me, I will never give up. Hush, don't speak I already know what you're going to say. I'm sorry too." The stars in the sky began to disappear as the sun began to reclaim the prematurely dark sky.

"My window is closing dear. You're going to forget again. I know you won't remember, but I love you very much." Nox kissed Ilim's head and restored his usual form.

The light of the sun filled the sky and swept across the arena. Nox changed back into her battle clothes and left Ilim int he darkest part of the arena while she retreated to the other end. As the light drew nearer to him, she wiped away her tears and fell back into a battle pose.

"Goodbye, little Spark."

((Left you a few precious seconds to talk before the light touches you and purges your memories. Oh it'll also make you feel less desressed about being alone; Nox is going to take in your sadness.))

Daimon still had his strong dislike for Hitch, the bastard was too smug. Oh well, whatever. He looked at HAL and nodded, "That is my name, yes. Follow me" He started walking, still on all fours.

Nox merely smiled as she summoned her headdress.

"No, you won't be..."

The light reclaimed the arena. Her little Spark was gone, and Ilim looked pissed.

'I cannot fail them Mir. Not again.'
