Welcome To Shearport

Hood's sheet is linked in-thread - you want me to type it out, sort of thing?

So it is! Sorry, missed it when I was going through earlier.

All present and correct, fully approved!

Don't forget to edit the sheet to add your Wyrd 2 and extra Contract dot, from your xp spend.

Alright, I think Red's all sorted out. Very glad to see things about to get underway!

Edit: And Eye for the Strange is in the God-Machine Chronicles errata.

Can't remember what hedgespun clothing does, I'll have to look it up.

Also need to think I need one more specialty. Fuzz will talk to you about pledge this afternoon or evening.

You get one free article at game start, usually, that's purely cosmetic (or might provide a +1 to relevant rolls, like a redcap's bleeding stocking cap adding a +1 to Intimidation, at the ST's discretion). One dot of it bought with merit dots (or acquired later) represents a suit of it that is, again, largely cosmetic except perhaps for a social bonus, while two-three dots are more or less subtle or not-so-subtle armour.

It's on page 203 of the Core book. Rites of Spring also includes a ton of detail on Hedgespun, including bits and pieces that have a lot of diverse magical powers (as well as Hedgespun weapons, robots, etc.), but that's not the cosmetic stuff you acquire at chargen.

While we're waiting, I have another question: Is the Goblin Market book allowed? I have certain things I am considering (which may or may not perhaps perchance pertain to precious, precocious progeny) that would be aided by that particular book.

Edit: While I'm at it, how is experience being handled?

I don't have the Goblin Market book, I don't think. I'll take a look.

Also, I am a notorious experience miser.

But without experience, how will I turn into an alien god-monster!? Think of the children... Who I will sell to goblins for a magic sword!

Also, yeah, I recommend looking at Goblin Market; it has some neat ideas about both how to present the market and how to deal with knick-knack trades.

Did the Merit merit merit mentioning?

... Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.

Edit: Seriously, though. God-monster.

Oh, cool. This is the part where I set shit in motion and sit back to watch the character interactions, and occasionally throw you guys a new plot bone to chew on.

I misread Ragoza's latest post for a moment as Liam having a biscuit hidden in his beard, and was disappointed when I reread it.

Just to ask in advance, what might we roll to feed on the desires of the elderly couple for the breakfast that's been prepared? Do we get a bonus based on how well our kitchen elf prepares it?
