Fandom Welcome To Hogwarts

He realised after a few seconds she wanted to let go and did so reluctantly "she wanted to sit in my carriage....I was hoping you'd turn up"

Elena smiled and nodded. "I've been here since half past eight. My parent's had to work," she said sadly. "If I'd known you were here I would have come and found you. But you know how I get when I'm reading," she said with a giggle, remembering the countless times she'd found him waiting for her to finish reading.

"Yeh, nice of him to let me sit down, otherwise i'd have had to sit with my brother" She laughed. "He's a seventh year"

Elena ran a hand through her hair, pushing it back from her face. "I wouldn't know what that's like," she said with a smile. "I'm the first witch or wizard in my family."

"Well that must be exciting!" Said Leslie "Havin' this whole world all new and unexplored if you like," She leaned back in her seat once again "Its not often you get ta see somethin' that grand from an outside perspective"

He sighed and looked straight out of the window "can we not talk about family please?" He stroked a medallion he was wearing round his neck

"I'm not talkin' about family anymore, Joe, I'm talkin' about explorin' " She said. "I only just mentioned my brother in passing"

Leslie wasn't quite sure what more to say for fear that shed send him into a mood once again. Even in casual conversation she couldn't be sure what would send him off. She merely crossed her arms in subtle indifference. "alright have it your way" she said, "but dont go mad if he stoops by over here to say hello or somethin'. not sayin' he will but in his defense he dont know what bothers you, alright?"

Tristan walked into the Gryffindor common room, taking a seat in one of the arm chairs. She was breathing heavily; she had run the whole way there. Just a few minutes ago, she had gotten into a fight with one of the Slytherins. She leaned forward, and her red hair hung over her face, hiding a split lip. There hadn't been wands, this time. It was a good, old fashioned, Muggle fistfight.

[i guess we're skipping to Hogwarts then? Also just imagining it to be the first night there. I like night time scenes anyways xD ]

"I thought I heard noises down here" Came Leslie's gravelly voice as she walked down the stairs in her pajamas. She spoke softly so as not to wake the others. She sat in an arm chair across from Tristan. "Picking fights again?" She asked with an empathetic chuckle.

(Yeah, sorry xD )

"Those Slytherins piss me off," Tristan groaned, her Irish accent echoing off the walls. "I almost got caught, too. That would have really sucked." She brushed her hair back, revealing her lip. "Fist fight, though, not magic."

"well then lets do something about it" she smirked "come on, you and me could get past the prefects easy. I'll bet they're still out too, ya know?"

Elena was in her room, brushing her hair as she thought of what Joe might be doing. He hadn't come back after changing and she'd thought of going to look for him, but didn't as they pulled up at the platform. She hadn't seen him after that, with the exception of a glimpse of him at the feast. Pulling out a piece of parchment, she wrote a message quickly and instructed her owl, Orion, that was perched on the window ledge to deliver it to him.

Hey Joey, are you alright?

I haven't seen you since the train.

-E x.

Joe knew the castle better than anyone at the school, having basically lived here since his second year. It was his home, not with all the Foster families, this was where he sort of belonged. He was sat in one of his favourite spots up on the astronomy tower. He couldn't be seen from the stairs but could still see over the grounds. It was also dangerous, one slip and he would fall all the way to the bottom but Joe was sure of foot and wouldn't fall. He snatched the letter as it arrived, smiling at her writing and the way she signed off. He pulled his quill out and scribbled a rough message in return.

I'm fine. Come meet me on the astronomy tower if you can. Joey x

Elena dashed out of the common room quickly, moving silently through the halls to the place that she'd come to meet him. "Hey," she said softly, alerting him to her presence as she stepped closer to him.

He smiled at her and carefully clambered down from his precarious position "hey" he hugged her softly "I didn't mean to worry you earlier...you know family is a sensitive topic for me right?"

Elena nodded and hugged him back, pressing her cheek to his chest. "I know," she said softly. "But I worry about you."

"I know you do" he whispered "but I'm better how I am now. Not fighting, not arguing. Even if it means I look like I'm getting pushed around. It's just better"

Elena looked up at him with tears in her eyes. "It's not better. You're a good person, you don't deserve to be pushed around," she said simply.

"You remember last time I go into a fight here when I almost got expelled? I don't want that to happen again" he looked into her eyes and blushed crimson, looking down straight away

"Hey," she said softly, "You know I'll do anything to protect you," she continued.
