Welcome to High School! (H8becomesyou&Firetail606)

The smile on her face widens. "Why thank you Eli. I am glad you like it. I helped my mom do it. Look around all you want to. Would you like something to drink Eli?" She asks kindly to him.

Eli smirks and nods as he wraps his arms around Poppy's waist, pulling her close as he puts his mouth right over the pulse spot on her neck, "Your blood?" He asks teasingly, though the question was honest.

Poppy laughs and smiles. "And I have told you I taste bad Eli. You don't want my blood." She teases with him. A little caught off guard about how he is holding her. But she liked being in his arms.

Eli shakes his head, pulling back from her a bit as he puts his hands on her shoulders and looks into her eyes, "Poppy... I really am a vampire." He says honestly, his instincts taking over as the smell of her blood becomes more prominent. Normally he wouldn't reveal his vampirism so quickly, but... He didn't know what else to do. It'd been nearly a week since the last time he had any blood, and he'd begin getting extremely ill if he didn't hurry it up.

Poppy was stunned. Vampires weren't real, they were only in the movies and the silly books that the girls read. Looking into his eyes. Was he really serious about this. All the talking he did today. Her eyes getting wider. "Oh Eli don't tease me like that you ca.." She looked at him more. He did look very serious. "I don't know what to say Eli..." Then fear started to crawl inside her. "You won't kill me will you Eli?"

Eli shakes his head vigorously, "No! I've never killed, and I never will kill... I don't even drink without permission. All that stuff I said earlier was just teasing, it was playing around and that's all. I didn't plan on telling you the truth, but..." He swallows hard, the pain in his stomach, his chest, his head, and his gums getting worse and worse. "I'm dying, Poppy. Vampires as young as I am still have to drink blood at least twice a week to stay healthy... It's been over a week since I've had any. Now, I won't make you let me drink from you, but..." He winces in pain, closing his eyes tightly as he feels his fangs starting to elongate. "It hurts..."

She had to do something. This couldn't be a trick. No one could fake that kind of pain. Taking his hand and pulling him to the living room. She couldn't believe she was going to let him do this to her. But she didn't want anything bad to happen to him at all. She couldn't let him die. Sitting on the couch looking up at him. "Eli please take what you need from me. I don't understand this at all. But I don't want you dieing." She moves her hair off to the side. Waiting from him as her heart beat out of her chest.

Eli swallows hard, "Are you sure..?" He asks, able to hear her heart and knowing she's probably scared beyond belief at the moment.

Poppy looking up at him. "Eli yes I am scared out of my mind right now. But yes I am sure. I don't want you to die no matter what you say you are." She says as motions for him to come and sit next to her. "You take what you need Eli." She says again.

Eli nods, sitting beside her hesitantly. He slowly leans forward, "It'll only hurt for a second." He says honestly, allowing his fangs to extend out all the way before he sinks them into her flesh right above her pulse point. He closes his eyes, moaning in contentment as the thick ,crimson liquid flows into his mouth. He sends through the intention to give her pleasure rather than pain from his bite, as he'd learned to do long ago.

Poppy nodding when he said that. Feeling him bite her neck. She wanted to jump away. But she felt her body relax into the couch. Her eyes closing slowly as her mouth fell open a little. She never felt anything like this in her life. Her mind wondering off into bliss. She could get used to this. It was amazing feeling.

Eli makes sure to take just enough so that he'll be okay, not wanting to hurt Poppy. He pulls back then licks the wound so that it would heal over, then he quickly scoots to the other end of the couch to show that he wouldn't hurt her, "It's over.." He says softly, "Thank you.."

Poppy pulling her legs up on the couch. She sighs as she touches her neck where he bite her. "You're very welcome Eli. I am glad that I could help out. Even though I am still at a lost with all of this. I never thought that Vampires actually were real. Only in the movies and books." Looking over at him. "I trust you won't hurt me. You could have hurt me I assume just then. I have many questions. But the main one is. Are you ok now Eli?"

Eli nods, "I'm fine... And I'll answer any question you have, Poppy." He says honestly.

Eli nods, "I'm fine... And I'll answer any question you have, Poppy." He says honestly.

Poppy nods trying to find where to start. "You being a Vampire. How are you able to go out in the sun? Or are all the things we have come to learn. Just a myth?" she asks.

"It's more a myth now than anything, but it started as truth. A long time ago vampires would burn when they stepped into the sun. But as time goes on we've evolved, and now the most it'll do is give us a headache. Also churches, graveyards, 'holy water', all that jazz does nothing. There are even some vampires who go to church religiously. Garlic doesn't make us shrink back, either. In fact, I had garlic bread before school today." He sighs a bit as he thinks about the other strange myths humans have come up with. "Umm.. We don't have to be invited into a house, but we're unable to even touch a human if we walk in without being invited. We don't turn into bats. We do have more advanced senses and strength, but not excessively... Like, we wouldn't be able to pick up a building or anything. It's sort of like we're born with the strength of an intense body builder, or something.. It's no inhuman strength, just inhumanly obtained."

Poppy looks at him taking it all in. Why would he even want to lie about something like that. She couldn't fight he just drank her blood. She sighs softly after a short time. "Eli thank you for telling me this." Running her hand through her hair. "You know what Eli. I can't not believe you that what you say is true. And you know what. I am not going to scream running from the room. Or get all fan girl on you. You are what you. Just as I am a human." That felt odd to say. "I was wondering something are you going to use other girls to drink from?" She asked looking at him.

Eli nods, grateful that she wasn't going to over react one way or the other. Then when she asks if he'll drink from others, he nods, "Most likely... There are a few who I normally do, though they're really obnoxious about it, and I've got to do all this crap for them, and..." He sighs, "Yeah. It's unhealthy for the human if a vampire feeds on them more than once a week, so I've got to feed from multiple people."

Poppy nods. "I can understand that. I was wondering something. Now who was right me or you? Do I taste sweet or not good?" She smiles over at him. Not teasing but she did wonder about it. And he would be the one the perfect one to ask.

Eli chuckles softly and nods, "Incredibly sweet." He says honestly. "Told you so~" He teases.

Poppy laughs. "And there is the charm. But thank you for being honest with me Eli. Nice to have someone honest." She rolls her eyes. "You really just said told you so." She laughs more and leans over and kisses his cheek.

Eli smiles softly then reaches over and ruffles her hair, "It's nice to have someone who doesn't freak out one way or the other about me being a vampire... Usually they try to either burn me with holy water, or start screaming about why I don't sparkle..." He sighs in exasperation, "Freakin' Twilight..."

She smile widens. "I am sorry but vampires that sparkle is just odd. Those fan girls need help. I for one hated the first book. I had to stop half way through." In a funny display, she lays on the couch. "Oh save me Edward." She laughs as she does it.

Eli stifles his laughter with his hand over his mouth as he shakes his head, "Frickin' Bella puts women back to the middle ages, acting like she can't do anything herself." He says with a chuckle.
