"It pays well." She sighed, "I like the adrenalin rush...but not hurting people." She shrugged grabbing the man by the back of his shirt and lifted him back slamming him head first into a wall. The man groned rolling in to his back after slumping the floor.

Nominus:


Peering at the marching undead column from above Nominus patted his wyvern. Turning ahead he could see the faint outline of a supposedly prominent ciy in the region. It would be the first of many to burn. Besides the countless villages they already zombified. Many bats and carrion birds followed them as well as if they could sense the coming slaughter. His shoulder smoldered as the sun peeked over the horizon. With a inhuman screech he ordered his army to make camp. The fun would have to wait.

He took another drag,before dripping and snuffing out the cigarette."there it is"he turned,walking toward the desk in the corner.he pulled out a drawer,but instead of looking tjrough it,set it down,and reached into its previous socket. He pulled the sack of gold from inside,holding it by the string"id say thats what were here for..."he tossed it to her,and paused,as if thinking something over."you wouldnt call yourself a hero,would you?"an odd question for her line of work,but he seemed serious

She caught the gold in one hand and laughed quietly. "If I was a hero I Would be working against the drug lords and fighting for the underdog. Not the other way around."

Smoke had started gathering around him,but it was...different this time. It seemed to be grabbing at him,trying to slow him down. He waved it away like a fly,but it only came back...

Alicia frowned and crossed her arms, "That doesn't sound like a very good thing to do to me. Well..as long as you didn't kill him. It's still mean, though." She replied. "Oh well..got any other interesting stories? Preferrably ones that aren't about beating up people for bening dumb?" She asked him, fully interested in the fact a demon hadn't tried to kill her yet.

Eve grumbled a few curse words under her breath and moved to the window watching silently. Hood masking the frown on her face, "Void, what's wrong?" She looked through the smoke that seamed to be descending and her eyes widened slightly is he falling?

Alicia nodded, "Yea I guess so. I did ask him to train me after all, plus I was kinda heading there anyway. You should come with us still, though. I'll set anyone straight that thinks you're evil." She replied, smiling at Rel.

He hit the ground,and took a breath,hand coming to his chest. He shook it off, heading down the street in quite a hurry. He stopped at a nearby alley, and his shoulders fell immidiatly.


"Fuck"


What Happened next was almost incomprehensible. One minute he looked like someone had slapped his mother,and the next...something...shot out of the alley in a blue light. It was a limb, a tentacle maybe,that grabbed hold of him. He was pulled into the alley just as fast,in a rather painful looking manor,before the blue glow vanished

Eve watched and then grunted "fuck me." Gritting her teeth she turned back to the man, Ben, she'd just been beating up and sighed, "you might want to hide for a while."


Jumping out the window, with defiance to the face she was told to stay, Eve hit the ground with a silent thud. Silently she neared the ally keeping close to the wall so she could peek around the corner.

Nothing...


Just a pitted back alley. Atleast for afew moments. Then blue energy began to crackle in the air. Then something seemed to tear the air itself. A blue vortex floated just a foot or so off the ground,until something stumbled out of it. It closed immidiatly after the figure was free,who fell to his knees. He groaned,rearing back."gods among the living and dead...FUCK"He coughed, hand resting over his heart. The man was in fact void,but he seemed...different, some how. He sat back,holding his head. He seemed...worn. tired. Hell. White strands had formed through his mop of hair. He let his head fall back,taking afew breaths. He had no shirt now, revealing numerous scars and old wounds,including missing hunks of flesh in his stomach. There was even a metal grid covering his right kidney area,where a large pocket of flesh was gone,cut away in some surgery.he groaned,trying to relax as smoke curled around him.He shook his head"no no I'm fine. Just...tired... 8 thought I had killed that thing...how did it...oh... no,I didn't know it could grow its head back...god your usless sometimes..."he hadn't even noticed eve. He was to preoccupied with his bleeding shoulder and his conversation with the smoke

Christopher? Swallowing she watched him and silent like a fox hunting its pray she slipped into the ally and made her way towards the once boy. Kneeling infront of him she gently lifted his head to check him over in more detail, her good eye was turning darker by the moment until the vibrant green was gone and replaced with a black liks ink. "Fucking hell." She sighed and dropped his head, she stood to stare at the vortex.

He was visibly confused,thoughts racing. Girl,bad eye, was here when he went in, money job,right.


"Ah,yes. Miss...oh what was your name. Ave.ava?no...e...eve!yes that was it. Miss eve I highly suggest you step away."He pulled something from.his pocket,a vial of some sort,and pulled the cork,throwing the vial in. The blue light quickly turned to a shade of green,before closing in on its self. He nods,before letting himself fall flat on his back. Where had he got an eye patch? It covered his bad eye. He coughed, looking up at the sun."if your here...then...only afew moments have passed. Unless you've been waiting long. It witch case I do apologize. Busy busy and all that. Then again I did ask you to stay behind. Should have realized you were to stubborn for that. But what was it I was doing before I went in. Something was happening..."he just went on like that,not really focusing on one topic. He was everywhere,really. He didn't seem to mind the large gash in his shoulder as he talked without a seconds consideration over the wound.

Eve looked back down at him and shook her head the black disappearing, "I'm good at being stubborn," she crouched besides him, "put your arm around my neck." She urged as she hooked her arm under his legs and around his waist. Surely such a small girl couldn't pick this man up, put never the less she did.


Her wings suddenly bloomed from her back, already healed and thanks to him in the right way, "I'm taking you back to my place." She carried him as his weightless as she pushed off the ground.

He just stared at her wings"oh yes that would be nice. I don't remember your ings being so...right. of course so bandaged them up but still they were in poor condition last I recall. You faerie have amazing healing potential."as they took off . Was already on another thought,and another. He eventually paused,seeming to have focused on one thought soecifically"how long was I in there?"
