Realistic or Modern Washington High School: Student Chronicles

Alex sighed heavily once they left, her mother was clearly unhappy with him, sighing again before pulling on one of his extra shirts he had brought in from his car, gray, white, and black stripped V-neck. He changed from shorts to his black jeans, blushing in embarrassment cause he got Solana, a girl he truly, truly liked, in trouble, with her mother. Not the bestimate first impresssion. He ruffles his hair gently, before deciding to wait untl after they talk so he can drive Solana to school. He stuffs his clothes in the bag Solana had given him yesterday, before going through the variety of texts sent by Lexi that night.

Zori shook off her apology, waving his hand in the air. "It's no problem, really! It was getting late anyway." He said. "Do I need to drop you off at your house now? Or should we just go to school? We can totally get some Dunkin Donuts before we go." He said with a small grin.

A few minutes later, Solana came in refreshed and dressed for the day. She glanced up at Alex before turning away and grabbing her books and book bag.

"Are you ready to go?" She asked softly.

Alex narrowed his gaze on her, taking her presence in. He blushed lightly, "yeah I'm ready." He pushed his phone into his pocket and slipped out of her room, he rubbed the back of his neck nervously as he thought of last night.

Solana blushed a bit when he looked at her. She waited just a bit before walking out after him. Making it to the kitchen, she grabbed herself two oranges before walking to the door. Opening it up she let Alex exit first before calling out to her mom. She then shut the from door, locking it and following him to the car.

"Could you bring me to my house so I could get out of these clothes?" Regan asked as she dialed one of her parents' cell number. Regan glanced at Zori with a smile before she walked out of the room into the hallway to talk to her mom.

Alex unlocked his car, it beeps lightly and he runs his fingers over the hood, it was warm and had a few drops of dew on it. He looks to Solana from over the car, he opens the driver side door before getting in, he sighs, his car smelt lightly of cologne with a hint of car freshner. He looks up at his rear view mirror and his gaze hardens, A shiny daisy necklace hung from the mirror. He grabs it and breaks it off his mirror, he growls lowly before shoving the necklace into the side of his door. He starts his car, the engine growls loudly, the turbo warming up.

Alex looks to Solana, the car rumbling like a beast under them, "so, what did your mother say?"

Zori nodded, sending her a smile. He walked out of the room, quickly slipping past Regan and giving her the privacy to talk to her mom. He made his way downstairs, kissing his mom's cheek. He grabbed his car keys and waited at the door for Regan as his mother went into her room.

Regan waits for him to unlock the car. Her eyes lock onto to his and she sends him a smile, getting into the car. She watches his reaction, a small frown on her face. Whose necklace was that?

"Whose necklace...." She began, disregarding his question as she turned to look at him. "Why'd it upset you so much?"

Regan rolled her eyes when her mom immediately started to yell angrily at her from the other end. She tried to calm her mom down, telling her that she was coming home for a little bit before she went to school. She sighed deeply when she hung up, glad that the conversation was over. Regan walked down the hallway to the stairs and saw Zori at the front door waiting for her. "Sorry. I was talking to my mom" she sighed. "Ready to go?"

Alex grimaced, and put his car into geer, backing out of the driveway slowly. "Not mine, that's for sure." Once he was safely out of the driveway he threw the car into drive and sped forward, not to fast, but not slow as he drove down the street. He has been through the neighborhood before, he didn't live far from Solana. Alex turns onto a main road and stops at a Red light. He takes out his phone, attaching it to the stereo, and he began to play music softly, The Weeknd coming on.

He looks to Solana, "we're gonna be early." His stomach churned, how did Rennie get into his car last night, she was getting in his last nerve.

Zori nodded his head. "Yeah, I'm ready to go. Come on." He said, turning and opening the door for her. When she walked out he unlocked the car, hopping in the car and sending her a grin. He pulled out of the driveway before whistling. He stopped, hesitating when he opened his mouth.

"I'm sorry." He apologized. "I should have woken you up instead of letting you sleep. I'm the reason you got in trouble."

Solana made a small noise, looking at him. She looked out the window as he drove and smiling when he put The Weeknd on. She sang along with the song 'Wicked Games'. She glanced back at him when he spoke to her and thought about it before laughing at his growling stomach.

"We can get something to eat if you want." She said, smiling at him.

Alex smiled lightly, glancing to a Honda beside him revving It's ricer engine. Alex revved his engine and looked to Solana "got any ideas of where to go to eat?" He asks softly, the light tuensure green and Alex's tires squeal loudly, strugglin to get a grip, he speeds forward, ahead of the Honda by a great distance in almost a minute, he gets in the Honda's lane and slows a bit, not wanting to scare Solana.

Solana smiled back, her cheeks tinting a red color.

"I have no preference." She answered before squeaking when he sped forward. She grips the seat under her, her eyes wide in fear and exhilaration. A scream makes its way up her throat but she forces herself to stay quiet as he slows down once changing lanes. She lets out a breath she hadn't known she was holding, placing a hand to her chest.

Alex smiles as he pull into an ihop parking lot. He backs into a parking spot and smiles, looking to Solana, "oh, I'm sorry.. did I scare you?" He wiggles his eyebrows, revving the engine loudly. He chuckles before pulling the keys out of the ignitionm

"It's fine Zori. You were just trying to be nice" Regan said, giving him with a soft smile. "Really. I've been in trouble plenty of times before. They'll forget about it by later on today. So you still on for those donuts?" She asked with a smile.

Solana doesn't answer him, simply turning around and hitting his shoulder lightly. "You jerk." She mumbles though a ghost of a smile is playing at her lips. She exits the car and sees Ihop. Making a small noise, she waits for Alex before walking inside. She looks around before sighing when she sees a young man who is sitting at a table. She turns away from him, moving just a tad bit closer to Alex.

Zori smiled back at her though it seemed to be more on the forced side than his usual natural smile. "...If you say so..." He said softly, pulling up to her house. "I'm always up for donuts. Go get yourself ready. I'll be waiting right here, in this car." He said, sending her a teasing smile.

Regan smiled and touched Zori's arm lightly. "Don't worry about it" she said softly then got out of the car. Her parents were already at work, to no surprise. She ran to her room and quickly changed into some fresh clothes. Regan found herself checking her appearance in the mirror a couple times before she left the house again with her bag. She climbed back into the car and smiled at Zori. "Okay, ready."

Zori looked over at her and smiled, nodding his head. He waited, looking out at the still sleep neighborhood. He scratches the back of his neck, turning to look at the house before turning away. He turns the radio up, humming to himself before she came back out. He smiled at her as she got into the car and drove off once she was situated.

"You look pretty today. Though you look pretty everyday. I just never say it." He said with a small chuckle.

Alex wraps his arm around her shoulder when she squeezes closer to him. He asks for a table for two, the woman leads them to thwork table. Alex sits down, and looks to Solana. "Are you alright?" He asks as he fumbles through the menu, "I didn't scare you that bad did i?"

Regan blushed lightly and smiled. "You think so?" She was slightly surprised since all she had on really was a pair of skinny jeans and a shirt. "Thanks" she said, a bit flattered. She wasn't used to compliments like that since no one ever really said them to her.

She feels better when he wraps his arm around her shoulders and snuggles into his embrace. Solana nodded her head, sending him a small smile. "I'm fine. Just that an ex boyfriend here... He makes me a bit uncomfortable." She mumbled, looking down at the table and tracing patterns on it.

"I know so." Zori replied with a confident nod, sending her a sweet smile before turning back to the road so they wouldn't get into a car crash. "No problem." He replied.

When they got to Dunkin' Donuts, Regan got out of the car and walked inside next to Zori. There weren't many people there yet. "What do you want? I'll pay" she said as she got on the short line.

"No way. I'm paying." Zori said, shaking his head. "I order way too much for you to be paying.

"I don't care" Regan said with a short laugh. "You've already done so much for me so I want to make up for it somehow." Before she knew it, they were at the front of the line and the cashier was waiting for them to order. Regan ordered a couple glazed donuts then looked at Zori for him to order.

Alex glares toward the ex, his dark eyes meeting the smaller guys. He looks to Solana, "don't worry about it." He sounded pure italian, "he won't touch you baby cakes." He smirks, the waitress walking over. Alex orders a stack of double chocolate pancakes with strawberries and whip cream.

Zori glanced at her. "You're going to regret this."

Clearing his throat, he looked at the cashier. "I would like two glazed donuts, two chocolate donuts, three things of has browns, one blueberry muffin, one bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, and a large hot chocolate." He said, smiling widely at the gawking cashier.

Solana doesn't bother looking back at her ex. She stares at Alex as he speaks. A small gasp escapes her lips at his accent. She can feel herself blushing as she fans herself, looking away from him. She orders her usual oatmeal with a side of bacon and hash browns before turning back to him.

"Your... You have an accent." She said, her voice soft as she bit her lip.
