Fantasy Virterde Chronicles: Gifted Ones

Aria chuckled and hugged the Dalmatian and then looked at her mother who had made her way out of the apartment and into the corridor. Looking at Connor she chuckled.

"So you finally made a contract... Well come on in both of you."

Motioning them to follow them Aria's mother waited for them in the small living room. The inside of the house was rather tidy but still it could be seen that it was rather run down. Aria made her way to the kitchen and grabbed something to eat. Aria's mother smiled at Connor and looked at him up and down.

"I am going to assume that you are a beloved and that you have no idea why I can see you. Well my name is Celena so please call me that and also I am a Medium like Aria."

"Yes, and that would explain it." Conner replied to Celena. Two people could see him in one day, a bit out of the ordinary for him considering not many people did. "Thank you for welcoming me into your house. I will help in any way I can."

Celena laughed out loud and shook her head, "Help? Don't worry we can handle this one extra person is no trouble. Right Aria?"

Aria gave a happy nod and got out some food, "Help yourself."

"Well, I don't have to eat. Because I'm already dead." Conner stated awkwardly. He never had to explain it before, but he thought he managed it rather well.

Aria looked at him, "Sorry I didn't mean to be rude with my comment..."

Celena chuckled and patted him on the back and laughed again, "Well at least we won't have to worry about buying more food~!"

Pongo jumped up and down barking happily.

"Ya, that's looking on the bright side of things." he said happily and smiling at Celena's comment. It was a plus for all the people he made a contract WITH> Or at least it would be, considering that this was more or less his first contract.

Pongo barked at Connor and bended down to play with him but before he could pounce on the beloved Aria looked at Pongo.

"Sit Pongo."

Following her orders Pongo sat down and looked at Connor hoping that he would play with him on his own.

"Pongo. That's a nice name. Who's a good puppy." Conner said as he crouched down to pet the dog, and passing right through it. Frowning, Conner wonders what to do about that. Then, obviously concentrating really hard, he put his hand on the dog, and didn't pass through it. Beeming with pride at his accomplishment, Conner scratches Pongo behind th ears, under the chin, every where really.

Pongo's tail banged all over the place and panted happily, "woof! woof!"

Angel smiled and chuckled, "He likes you..."

"Well, considring he isn't trying to bite me, I think he does to." Conner said, still petting and scratching the dog. "I hate to hassal you, but you think of anything yet?"

Aria looked at him and tilted her head, "Oh! The thing that I want... Sorry... I haven't not yet... Mind giving me a day or two?"

"Ya, sure, that's fine." Conner replied. He felt he had been rude, trying to press her into making a decision. "So, how is life here? Can't be that bad here."

Celena took a messy bite into her apple and wiped the juice off her mouth and onto her sleeve, "It's as good as life can get for people like us!"

Angel looked at her mother and grabbed a napkin, "Manners mother... Manners."

"Oh. Sorry!" Celena looked at Angel chirpily and took the napkin and dapped her face. Pongo jumped up and tackled Connor pinning him to the ground.

"PONGO!" Celena jumped up and took the heavy dog off him and Celena helped the boy up. oh... I can touch him...

"Are you alright Connor?" The two of them looked at Connor with the same expression after saying the same thing.

"Ya, I'm fine." Conner said, laughing at the dog, Pongo, tackling him. "He just wanted to play. 'Ain't that right little puppy."

Pongo barked happily several times and jumped out of Celena's arms and jumped onto Connor again.

"AH!" The two of them reacting the same way again they both reached out for Pongo.

"It's fine." Conner grunted out from underneath Pongo. Gently grabbing the dog by the head, he pushes it to one side, trying to just role the whole dog over. He officially decided that he liked big dogs. You could actually play with a big dog. "Who's a big puppy?" Conner said, in a rather ridiculous voice.

Pongo barked happily and gave Connor a lick. Aria chuckled with her mother who was laughing s hard she had tears rolling down her face.

"Oh Pongo!"

The two of them smiled softly and Aria knelt down beside Connor with a tissue, "Here you go..."

"Thank you." he said as he grabbed the tissue and wiped the dog slobber off his face. "Life must be good with a dog like this." he said as he slowly got back up.

Celena laughed and patted Pongo on the back, "Let's just say it never gets boring."

Aria gave a warm smile and nodded, "Yes... It never does..."

Ava had been drifting for a few days now. She wanted to see that boy again, he had seen her and she was lonely. Ava sighed as she licked her ice cream, she should make a contract, even if he made her feel weird she needed to collect beloveness. She floated down and stood in the middle of the side walk. Now would could Lorin be.

Lorin had yet again walked to the shrine and fallen asleep, there were so many missed calls on his cellphone, and mainly every single one of them was from his brother. He sighed, as he threw the phone into his leather shoulder bag, and stood up, stretching his arms. He had yet to forget about Ava that he had met a couple of days ago, but he thought nothing more of it. It was nothing special that people, or other beings apparently, would eventually grow bored of him. It was how it usually worked, though he had gotten a bit too used to her company, despite their short time together. Lorin walked down from the shrine and back into the main streets, looking as a couple of his classmates came his way as one of them approached him, throwing him back against the wall.

Lorin didn't even seem fazed by the sudden throw, as he simply looked at the three of them grouping around him, smirking small sly smirks as two of them held their hands out. "Lorin. Where's your money today? You better give it up quickly, or else..." The 'leader' said as he had pinned Lorin against the wall, caging him in using his arms as he leaned against the wall. "What, too dumb to finish a sentence?" Lorin asked, still unfazed by everything, as the guy that stood in front raised his arm, not amused by Lorin's insult as Lorin closed eyes to embrace himself for a punch.

Ava sighed maybe she wouldn't see him. She was about to float away when she spotted him. "Lorin!" She was about to float over when he was shoved against a wall. She watched..what was going on..was he in trouble? She floated over and gasped, no! Ava pushes Lorin away as the man punched the wall. "Lorin follow me!" She begins to drag him away fast, ducking into many alleyways.

Lorin embraced himself for the punch as he had already tensed up and closed his eyes, as Ava's voice entered his mind, and he was quickly grabbed, and then dragged towards several alleyways. He had never ran so much in his entire life, it was quite bothersome to run after all, it required some actual efforts. "W- What the-? H- Hey!" the boys behind them shouted after them, as they quickly lost them when they were going through the several alleyways. Lorin's attention was more focused on the part that Ava's hand was touching him, and his cheek lit up at the mere thought, and sensation of her cold hand against his.

"W- Where are we going?" Lorin asked her, a bit more unsure if they needed to continue to run, but Ava was still dragging him, so he did not stop running, and even if he did, Ava was still there to drag him along with him, as he did no longer question it, only why she was there of course. That scenario was not unknown to him, as many thought of him as an easy victim, he was thin and weak, and perhaps he looked too vulnerable too?

She finally lead him to a field that look straight out of a fairy tale, full of wild flowers with butterfly everywhere. "What was going on? Why were those boys trying to hit you?" She had never floated that fast in her life and she sink to the ground tired. She blushed dropping his hand looking away. She had missed this dumb boy and she didn't know what to think about that. Ava picked up some flowers and smiled, she loved this place and being here with him..made it better somehow.

Lorin looked to where he had been lead, as it was yet another beautiful place in the strange world he had not known, and a small smile could be spotted on his face, as he turned to look at Ava, seeing her blushed face made him a bit less worried about his own, even though he was not about to admit he was blushing. The question from Ava, made him sigh a little bit, he didn't wish to worry her, but it seemed as the question could not be avoided either. "They are just typical bullies, it's not the first time. They just do what they want, and then when they don't get what they want they leave. Truly they are only spoiled brats," Lorin said followed by a sigh, as he sat down next to Ava, and looked at the flowers she picked and another smile was on Lorin's usual stone face. "It's good, to see you... happy," Lorin muttered, as he looked away, blushing once again.
