That is one way that having a large Herd is useful to the vamps. Helps to keep you fed without having to go hunting.

Also!

It should be known, that if you are hungry, it is much harder to control yourself when you are feeding. A bad roll could lead you to accidentally kill and drain your victim.

If you are wishing to not risk human life, it is best to not let yourself get too hungry due to the risk of a frenzy when you do.

Indeed. But herds don't come easy or cheap. But a very very good option nonetheless if you can manage obtaining one.

Also, having a herd is something you can acquire and benefit from collectively.

If you both get 1 dot in Herd. You could add them together and form a collective herd worth 2 dots that you can both take advantage of.

And I am not forgetting you and our dear Amanda!

While recovering rage and gnosis are vastly different from Blood. The concept still applies to you in that you can ask "hey Rex, can you piss Amanda off, plz? I need some rage."

Just as readily! I'll do my best to keep track of giving her temporary renown for her deeds. I may award some here and there, and you may ask if something you have done is worthy of it. So keep track of how much you have. As well, I'll make sure there will be opportunities to perform rites of accomplishment, as well as others upon your request. Additionally, fights with your rival will always grant you a chunk of temporary renown or take it away depending on whether you win or lose.

And lastly, your Delirium. As a player, take note that the Detective has willpower in spades (wp 10). He will not be affected by the Delirium and won't necessarily respond with fear, as he will he will recognize you as a monster and remember it clearly as real.

This will make your job a bit easier at times, but also runs the risk of him trying to pop a cap in your head, depending on his disposition or if he knows you.

I have not dived as deep into the WTA books yet. So I may need your help a bit there in keeping track of stats and keeping the garou lore consistent.
I'm glad to hear that you'll be keeping up on my Glory, Honor and Wisdom stats. I can't get level 2+ Gifts until I level up in those. If you want, I can post the level-up chart on my sheet so you can see what numbers I need to get those higher numbers.

Having this guy immune to the Delirium is both a good thing and a bad thing, but let us hope that this does not backfire on me. Lets also hope he doesn't decide to start shooting me. If I'm in a Frenzy, I might not be able to control myself and attack him.
Psychie Psychie
One more quick question for you, we have the basic personality of your rival. But I will need a breed for him. I can choose, or you can give me your preference. Metis was going to be my original choice to give him a more brutish appearance to add to his savage disposition. Lol so I can make him look like Sabertooth from X-men. But also to make the sting of his defeat to you all the more infuriating for him given the stigma that surrounds his breed.

What duels you have with him will likely result in a frenzy for one or both of you. As such the breed will have a strong effect on what happens if the frenzy goes wrong. Hence why I am asking, so as not to put you on the spot should the dice gods be cruel that day.
Metis sounds fine to me. Do you want this guy to be the same Clan as me, or a different one? Also, we will probably need to come up with some info on the Pack Alpha, just so I can refer to him with at least a name.

I'm going to add a lore page. I'm thinking there you all just make a post, and om that post you the stats that must change frequently. Hlvl's, temp WP, Blood, Gnosis, Rage, etc. As well as whether or someone is interested in feeding or gaining rage.

This way I can just give it a quick look and determine how things are for you. And you got a handy small cheat sheet that you can edit rather than messing with the CS every time.

I'm not how well it would work.but I'm willing to experiment with it if you all are.

Lol yes, it is very much a double edged sword. But it is better than his brains turning to mush at the sight of you.

As a bit of clarification, if he identifies you as a threat, he would shoot. Keep in kind a Crimes Amanda is a terrifying thing. When a giant bear is charging in your direction, one doesn't do anything other than assume its coming for you. If he does not know your natures, he will react to them accordingly. Amanda knows this. Just like the vampires will have to balance their hunger, you will be balancing your rage and your frenzy. And you will need to use your judgement as to whether or not going into a frenzy is worth the risk of endangering your charges life. Because should he die... not only will you lose a lot of renown, and killed an innocent, but you will have let a powerful Bane be released into the world that is capable of doing horrific damage to Gaia and its denizens. And that is even worse.

But no pressure. I mean, it not like I purposefully made him a bit of a stubborn jerk or gave him a high damage revolver just to make things a bit harder for the super potent anger tank. I wouldn't do that. (I did do that.)

Lastly!

I am fine with him being of the same clan as you. Make you can beat some peace into him. Other tribes in the area are Bone Walkers and Fianna. With Uktena and Wendigo on the eastern side of the mountains.

What you are in here, is a Sept. A regional society of werewolves that localize around a Caern, with which they are there to protect. They can be of one tribe, or several. The latter in this case. The Sept Leader we shall call... Aaron Shelby. He is essentially the True Alpha of the area and responsible for the local packs of the area.

You are still young, and haven't yet been apart of any pack save for your family, of which your Mother was considered the alpha.

You do not know yet, but you are already on your first mission. Though you never expected that your first pack to contain two licks and sheep. But you are a garou, you gravitate strongly to feelings of comraderie. Even if they aren't garou, the ties of friendship and a mission still call to your pack mentality. Being alone just doesn't suit garou.

But the question comes then, how will you adapt to such a pack?

I added the cheatsheets to the new Lore page. Let me know what you think or if there are any adjustments to be made.

I will also be adding NPCs there once you all each have a sheet up.

I added Masquerade violations as a mechanic, the more you slip up in revealing your true natures, the greater the chance of danger coming your way. You can raise and lower it depending upon your actions.

As a note, I can adjust this if we aren't satisfied with the system.

And the rolls will be made after downtime between scenes, so reduction is factored in before the roll is made. That way you can cover up small mistakes without being punished for them.

Chicken and waffles! Not hashbrowns. Goodness, have you never had chicken and waffles?

Also! Would you like the chance to explain Garou to Kelsey or would you like me to do that? As Kelsey does not know that Amanda is a werewolf. I don't mind if your busy :)

My pardon, and no, I have not had the pleasure.

As for the explanation of her Garou status, I was waiting to see just why the Prince has called them all together first.

It also takes our hunger down as well right

You are not hungry unless your blood points drop to (7 - self control). When it hits that number you are hungry. Right now you should both be okay. Not full, but the beast isn't knocking so.alls good.

That's a shame. It's good stuff. I dont know why its good, but it is. And I don't even like chicken all that much.

Gotcha, well he will explain in his next post! So never mind then, carry on, your doing well!

Hello dead and one living persons. Thank you for having me.

So having actually looked over everyone else's characters, Tremere commando-sorcerer overlaps a lot with everyone else. Every character here has high Occult, and of course Psychie has murdering shit down to an art form rolling around with her crazy war form stats, just all of the attacks per round, and aggravated damage to everything; Bambiighoul has most of the social bases covered, is unexpectedly terrifying, and handy in a bar fight; and Sherwood has knowing things, finding things out, and hacking things, plus stopping time. That does leave politics, finance, high society, and the halls of power, but this is Asheville, not New York, London, or Hong Kong, so that's not really applicable.

Does anyone have any suggestions for open roles that ought to be filled?

Enough so that I'm willing to forgive you ruining the little harem of troublesome redheads I had going on.

Also apparently I violated the character creation rules when I failed to create a woman with red hair. Sorry about that. Can fix.

I'm fine with your character concept! I'm all for making it work, though I may need your help in getting it to work smoothly since it would involve clans and groupings and hierarchies I don't fully understand yet.

Sure, which bit(s) were new to you?

While I'm would prefer a smaller scale, I'm not above using it as an opportunity to learn more.

Scale is a problem for me. I like loading up on backgrounds and being Kind of a Big Deal. I will endeavour to rein that in.

Lol I was teasing about the woman with red hair thing. You can make whoever you want.

Yeah, we actually have a pretty balanced party in terms of skills. Even the human may seem high, but as a mortal his dice are capped at 10 so his skill will be outshined by the supes pretty easily, so he can be ignored there.

Still! There are a few things that didn't get much focus.

Ninja skills ,like stealth and subterfuge etc can be very potent as a focus. Especially for vampires.

Technical skills like craft, technology and driving do not have a lot of collective focus in them.

Medince is also a good skill to consider given you can reason its use from keeping the human alive to getting blood to doing dangerous chemistry.

Save for the human, Alertness and Athletics are bit lacking.

And regardless of method, some form of combat can be helpful.

While they do have occult, none seem to have any real sorcery behind them if you did want to take that route.

As for whats unfamiliar. A lot of the society structure is. While I am learning it and read over it, I haven't seen examples of it to see it implemented in practice. One of the reasons I chose a smaller city was so I could get away with some societal errors that wouldn't make sense in a larger city.

The game itself is of a smaller scale, not necessarily your char. The more I learn, the more I can start ramping things up as we go. Asheville is just where we are starting, but we are not locked there. As you all are more than capable of shoving the detective into a burlap sack and absconding from city to city to keep the assasins off your trail, or lock him in a bunker in the middle of nowhere, follow him around like sneaky ninjas or befriend him and follow him that way. You could risk the masquerade and reveal yourself to him, or work hard to make sure he knows nothing. You can try to dominate and enchant him or force him into being ghoul. However you all choose to keep him safe is how it will be done, you are not locked into any method and I won't be choosing for you. I'm just playing the detective as a "helpless" tag along at your mercy.

Character wise, I'm not going to dismiss big wigs and char that are integrated into the world. I will do what I can to make your backgrounds work into a char that you will have fun playing. You very well could be the right hand of Asheville's predominant Tremerr clan leader and their Prodigal childer, you could be one of the Sheriffs newest hounds that people don't know whether to be impressed or dismissive. You could be one of the Prince's favorite jobbers or having the thankless job of keeping kindred vs garou fighting to a minimum.

Which reminds me! A few things of note.

1. In this city, there is a fragile peace between garou and kindred. Aside from a bit of chest beating, insults, and a few non fatal fights here and there, they mostly attempt to leave each other alone.

2. I have a system in place to handle masquerade violations and when hunters come after you. This is in the lore page.

3. You start with 21 freebie points. That can be raised to 28 by taking flaws.

Maybe I should trade brawl for melee and take a machete.

Probably shouldn't try throwing a jar of piss at an angry werewolf.

You are in the south US. Big knives are a symbol of status.

And why not? Show your dominance by establishing that Garou as your territory. They will have to make a willpower roll or submit.

Random Word Random Word

Also! I should point out that you can choose a Predator type from 5e. While you don't get the full package benefits, you do at least get a +1 to your roll when going about those methods of hunting.
