Vampire City (Closed)

"You might wanna have a steak or something if your trying to gain weight and feel more full. Cause your gonna get sick eating them all. Just saying. A few servants have thrown up cause of eating to many of them." I say as I sat down in my chair and put my feet on the desk.

"Well not doing much. Just planning things since the guy I punched just now told me there has been a hole in the wall for the past three days. Your lucky I took you too cause it turns out it was near where your house was. Now I gotta try and figure out how to seal it and then search the tunnels for any Rabids that may have entered the city" I say with a big sigh as I relax into the chair.

"But...." I sigh, nodding slowly. "I may talk to the kitchen staff about better dietary options later....How about we go check out the hole? See what it looks like and get a good estimate on what kinda materials would be needed in order to fix it! Doesn't that sound like a terrific plan? Having an approach to the problem now before it gets too out of hand!" I'd now stood up again, waving my hands around to express what I was saying. This is the kinda stuff Kanin handled daily. It's sad, seeing as I'd judged him for always sitting around doing nothing.

"Even if you hadn't taken me, other lives could be lost right now. If we hurry we have better chances of saving people, right?! Then the tunnels can be investigated and safety will be restored! Perhaps after the seal is made you could have routine checks on the wall to ensure it's stable? No cracks or holes, y'know?"

"Lexi I ready have people down there. Half are in the tunnels half are placing steel sheets over the hole. It's the best we can do right now with sun rise so close. Hopefully none of the Rabids found the hole since it was covered with vines and bushes but you never know." I leaned back and looked at her and shook my head.

"How is it your getting all giddy about stuff lately. Your not my wife so you can't really change things around here. The kitchen takes orders from me. And the reason they are making those treats you are just stuffing your mouth with is for the people who are willing to take the first vaccine for the flu. To thank them. So try finding something else to stuff your face with."

I say as I placed the towel on the desk and got up from the table. "This city has been under my power and it's still standing. The only way it will change is if I get married or I'm killed then my spawn. A.K.A a human i turned or a very trusted vampire will be picked for the vampires to choose who leads after me."

"I don't know why you're getting on the defensive. I'm not clinging to your side, now am I? So you don't need to lecture me about not being your wife, like its some kinda thing you can hang over my head. I don't need, nor want, to be married to you. Maybe I just wanted to throw around some ideas on what to about the crisis since it's inflicting humans and I actually care about the people I used to know back at home. Besides, I think you totally misunderstood what I was saying about the kitchen. I'll talk to them about me eating healthier foods. Not making them change what they cook to suit my needs because I'm some stupid, inconsiderate human. Who knows? Maybe when you step down from your little pedestool of awesome ruling of a city that's always on the brink of falling apart, a leader that has some kindness in him will rise up." I grimace at him before standing and approaching the door. "Sorry to barge in on your obviously busy schedule." I don't know why I'm so upset, but I feel my blood searing through my veins. I'm mad, infuriated at all of his words. Why does my opinion automatically make him think I'm trying to be a leader? At least at home I could say something without Mr. Majesty Man biting my head off about it.

"Wow for someone who wanted me to find a vaccine for the poor little humans you sure don't give a shit. Maybe I should let them suffer then since it doesn't seem like the best idea." I rolled my eyes as I snapped my finger as a guard came into the room.

"Go down to the lab and tell the doctor to stop the production of the vaccine." I say as I went back to doing my pus up as the guard left. "You may go now"

"What?" I snap, turning to face him with narrowed eyes. "You're just going to let them all die because they don't have a vaccine anymore? Just because you're having a bad day and can be all moody doesn't mean you should go around canceling orders like that! Gah! I don't even know what your problem is! Sometimes you're actually fine to be around and than others it's like your some kind of evil villain that just wants everyone to hate them."

I grab the knob of the door, free fist clenched. I don't want to be here. Was this deal even worth it? I grit my teeth and say, as calmly as I can muster,"I'm going to go visit my friend. If I'm not back soon, assume I'm dead. Not that you'd care or anything." I then proceed to exit the room, heading to my own to collect the small backpack I'd brought with me before heading out. A visit to the friend would be nice. It would get my mind off of things, right?

I laughed and rolled my eyes. She wasn't gonna get far. She needed a code to get out of this part of the city and the guards should only open it with my command. She wasn't going to be able to jump the gates either. Having guns at the ready was always a good thing.

After about doing 50 more push ups I landed and went to my room to take a nice hot shower. Humans were very annoying. And always had to freak out. But then I remembered. She's a female which meant periods. "Oh god" I mumbled "I'm gonna be dealing with a demon slave for a week. This is gonna be fun." I say as I stepped out of the shower with a towel around my waist.

I tried to get out.

Key word? Tried.

After a fruitless attempt of getting out of the city and numerous fits of yelling on the way back to the my room, I simply plopped down on my bed and glared into space. Could I ask him to let me go home? Nope, the idiotic dude would probably overreact and kill me. He can't just be normal. He's gotta be all heartless and cruel and unable to do anything good for society just to make a lousy point.

I grabbed my pillow and screamed into it before hugging it close to my chest. Soon after, I threw it across the room. This place is awful. It's lonely. And apathetic. And stupid. And even though home wasn't the best, it was a place where I belonged. I didn't have to deal with vampires because none of them ever caught me. Food wasn't too scarce because I managed to put it to good use. Work wasn't bad either. Here, I can explore the halls until I know them like the back of my band and I can stuff my face with treats, but that won't do anything.

It feels like prison here. Like a prison built to appear wonderful and welcoming and lovely. But it feels like I'm trapped.

As the fun slowly began to come up and I knew Leci would be whining in her room I slipped on a pair of boxers and walked out of my room and headed down to the kitchen. I needed a blood bag and I wasn't even gonna bother trying to get it from Lexi. So it was to the blood bags I go. They didn't bug me but taking it from the source itself was much better.

As I got to the kitchen the servants already knew why I was down there. They walked over to the blood fridge and grabbed an AB blood bag and handed me it. "Thank you. You guys can go get some sleep now. Suns almost up. Sleep well." I say as they left the kitchen and I bit into the bag draining it. I leaned in the counter slowly draining the bag. When the sun came up the morning shift humans would be up and doing all the night shifts things too.

(Another shirtless moment lol I love them. :P )

Meep

I had, surprisingly, calmed down a significant amount since I'd ventured into the domain known as my room. I got time to simply sit there, listening to the silence of the world around me. Nobody disturbed me, and I liked it that way. Without anyone's troublesome presence, I could savor these moments just a little more. That is, until they slipped out of my fingers.

Finding that I'd grown less irritated and the sun was to be up soon, I figured I could head to the library to exchange my old books for new ones. Since it was so close to daybreak, Kanin would be heading off to bed soon so I wouldn't have to worry about running into him. It was an upside to the life, not having to deal with him after a quarrel during the daytime. He'd find peace in his sleeping chambers, and I could happily avoid the time spent away. Not that we hung out that much anyways, but I knew he wouldn't be coming around trying to get me to do something during that time of the day.

I scan the halls quietly. Many of the vampiric servants are already heading to bed. It, too, relieves me. It is quiet. The home almost seem serene, like the setting for a dream world. How wonderful if this were a dream. Instead, it mostly feels like a nightmare.

((Nice picture! ^^ Sorry for the late response!))

After finally draining the blood bag I went and threw it away in the trash and rolled my shoulders. It was only 30 minutes till sun rise and I could feel like. My body was getting weak like when humans get tired. I ruffled my hair as I walked out of the kitchen and through the halls to my room.

Day shift guards were being to awaken and head to get some breakfast before they started there guard work. I had to wait till they were all up to call a meeting so I was gonna need to wonder around knocking on the doors of their rooms. There's wasn't a speaker I could speak into so I had to do it the old fashion way.

As I walked through the halls knocking on the doors I was still in my boxers. Many of the guards were male so it didn't matter and any females have seen it already. Around this time of the day I would always be in my boxers but if I was up this late there was a reason for it. Since many sleeped on one floor it was easier then having to go up and down the stairs. As I walked past the library I saw a shadow moving and I raised an eyebrow. I took a few steps back to see who it was and to my surprise it was Lexi. "Well look who's finally finished pouting in her room."

"If I spent all my time pouting everytime you say something upsetting, I'd never leave my room." I retorted as I shut a book, having been skimming the pages throughly for the past couple of minutes. I set it on the table with a large stack of other novels, pushing in the chair I'd sat in briefly. "It's simply easier to get out of the room and do better things with my time. Humans aren't like vampires, after all. They have such little time, therefor why don't I cherish it and indulge in the wondrous art of learning?"

I grabbed the stack of books, holding the shaky pile before walking to the door. I used my foot to push it shut, walking in the opposite direction he faced. I paused momentarily, glancing over my shoulder. "I'm heading to my room again. Going to read and maybe sleep some. Perhaps you'll have pleasant dreams as well. Or not. I don't suppose vampires care either way." I shrugged before continuing my walk down the hall. My footsteps were slow and careful, not wanting to drop the books. If anything, I just wanted to be away from him. His presence would only rekindle my anger. I just wanted to relax and find some peace in these fleeting moments.

"What whatever." I say as I went back to waking up the guards. Once they finally we're all up I called a meeting. Half the guards were to go out and board up the rest of the hole and make sure to make it soild. The other half was to break the tunnels open and make sure light got in. If any Rabids got in they would be spooked out by the light. I just hopped none were down there otherwise there would be more problems going on.

Once I have the order it was an hour after sun rise. I rubbed my forehead and headed to my room closing the door and walking to my bad and laying down pulling the covers over me and drifted into a heavy sleep till night fall.

--

Once night time fell I had woken up and got dressed to only go to my office and talk to the lead guard of the morning shift. Only one Rabid had gotten in and they had taken care of it in the spot. The wall was finally sealed against and all walls were being checked. I nodded and stood up as the guard left.

I went to a heavy wooden cabinet in the corner of my room and unlocked it pulling out a long katana from a sword holder. I then grabbed a towel and walked out of my room and down the wall where there was a large battle room with wooden dummy's to practice swings and fighting g skills on. I threw the towel and my jacket against the wall and swiftly moved the sword in my hand before swinging a big heavy blow to the side of a dummy causing a loud crack to echo through the room.
