That soft low growl made Aleksi's eyes jolt right back towards his friend. Mostly in surprise. Wolves normally didn't warn like this, unless it came to their mates. And it was too early for that, wasn't it? She had been around for hardly an hour yet. Besides Aleksi was not the type of man to interfere with someone elses relationship. Nor was she the gender he went for. He rubbed against the others arm when he was nudged, some sort of apology, though making note that he was gonna look into this girl later on. Bran had experienced enough heartbreak and disappointment for the rest of his life.

Aleksi chuckled when Bran brought up stripclubs and he gave him a playful lick along the jaw. Perhaps a bit intimate and weird for humans, but he meant nothing with it. "Well, you did ask me how to impress the ladies," he said with a grin, "and those moves do impress the ladies!" He smiled towards Cynder. "But I agree to that. Cynder is without doubt the coolest person alive." He could feel that little stop and go of his heart again, when the other made it very clear that tonight other plans had been made. He had no idea what was gonna happen, but he was looking forward to it. Cynder wanted to spend time with him... Maybe he could sneak in a little kiss. The idea alone made him very nervous, so he was happy with the distraction that knock on the door brought.

New people! He was conflicted for a moment. He wanted to stay here with Cynder, but he was also very curious to the newcomers. He settled for watching them closely from a far. For now. Three girls, one man. An interesting group that seemed to have absolutely nothing in common. Other than coming from the same school and being boring humans. Or maybe not that boring, as he took in the female with the washed out pink through her hair. "That is me!" he called out when he was paired up with one of the humans. Valerian Reed. Or Reed as he pointed out towards the headmistress in a slightly rude tone. "And this is Cynder!" he added as he gestured towards the smaller male next to him. He took his hand, without thinking, and went over toward the students. The blonde girl being paired up with Cynder. A queen bee kinda vibe hung around her. Quite a perfect choice. "And welcome to Valendor!" he said as he stopped before them. Selena was showering them with attention as well, and then there was Bran being the perfect host. So he didn't want to overwhelm them all too much. However as excited as he was about the roommates, he couldn't help but to feel a sting of dissapointment. As this all put a strike through their mysterious night plans...

Hayley blushed furiously as the Headmistress got her name wrong. Maybe she had let it go in the past, but dammit this was Valendor. If she didn't stick up for herself here, when would she?
"Uh.. It's Hayley, not Halley, ma'am." Hayley felt instant regret as many eyes focused on her. There was no doubt Blackmoore was beautiful. A beauty Hayley would never reach, but if she couldn't get her name right, Hayley would take a small victory. Her heart fluttered in her chest as Aurora remembered not just her existence, but the class they had together.
"Yes! I remember Mr. Beer. We called him that cause we caught him drinking in the Teacher's Lounge!" Hayley's herd mentality switched on as she moved slightly closer to Aurora. Maybe she would protect Hayley from being a total social outcast. Hayley winced as Tehuri knocked on the door and let herself in. Hayley valued privacy, and party or no, and open door situation was not fun to her.

Suddenly, the biggest person Hayley had ever seen was striding towards her, offering her drinks. Hayley flinched slightly, though she took a drink. She wondered for a moment what they fed the boys here as a smaller lady and a grumpy looking Asian boy came up to her. Hayley's heart quailed as the Asian announced himself as a roommate. She could tell immediately he didn't want her in his room. Her anxiety flew at her, convincing her the Asian man hated her. Hayley's heart fell as he mentioned swimming. She'd been taken by a rip tide at a young age, and so deep water made her nervous.
"Well... Mister Azuris. I hope we can be friends." Hayley had no idea if he'd heard her. It had almost been whispered out as Hayley stood under his judgmental gaze.

Wilhelmina Day

Things had become a bit more active than Wilma was wanting to deal with. Too much conversation. Too many people. She was beginning to feel slightly claustrophobic even in such an open room. She was slowly thinking of an escape plan, not that she needed one, no one was forcing her to be there except herself. She didn't want to be awkward or lame. Sitting in the greenhouse every day wasn't going to make you friends but neither is standing in a corner so she might as well go back.

What was it that Blackmore had said? That she was bringing in more students? A sudden worry popped up in Wilma's mind. Had she stashed her pelt away well enough? What if... No, it's probably fine. But.. What if her new roommate had already been in the room. Snooped about and found it? Wilma didn't want to be stuck to anyone but certainly not a human stranger. The panic tightened in her chest. The hands in her pockets tightening into fists making her fingernails dig into her palms. She had to go now. Yeah. This wasn't an excuse, this was an actual fear. It'd make sense.

When Blackmore had come back with the others Wilma was just making her way towards the door and froze. When her roommate was called out she relaxed just a tad. She seemed normal. Well of course but even for human standards. She also looked rather tense. Fidgeting so much she looked like she'd wind herself around any moment. That put Wilma at ease a little. She waved to Wilma and she nodded back as she approached. Might as well get in an introduction before scurrying back off to her room. She overheard her correct the headmistress and paused a moment before speaking. "Hi, Beck? I'm Wilhelmina, Wilma if you like." She held out a hand, her earlier panic making her forget the internal conflict she had about them that morning. "I was just leaving, but if you need anything don't be afraid to ask." She put on a smile.

More people were brought in. People from Doglas Academy. People she should know. However that did not calm her spiking heartrate at all. Esmeralda knew a lot of people from her school. At least, she knew their faces and the names. It was not like she had many friends. Not that she blamed her fellow students for that, she was usually hiding out in the kitchen or trying to keep her distance anyway. The very few that had tried to befriend her, had given up rather quickly when she had politely turned down any invitations to parties, events, or other get togethers. Even the movies were turned down. Not only because Esmee didn't dare to, but also because that all costed money and she didn't want others to pay for her. She didn't want to be a pity case.

Besides, it was much easier to just be on her own. Or that was what she told herself, when she saw others joking and laughing with each other. Yes, part of her wanted to have that too. And perhaps in a different life... Esmeralda took a deep breath when she noticed her thoughts were wandering, and not down the good paths. She looked up as the shirtless guy gave her a look and then the smaller guy next to him. Was she already the subject of talk? A painful sting going through her chest as the gentle giant, the poet, was part of that little group as well. He wouldn't... She averted her gaze as she drank her cup. The liquid burning down her throat as she coughed a bit. Drown yourself in alcohol... We all know how well that story ends... Her thoughts however broken before they could cut in deeper as the host of the party moved to open the door and let in other students of her school. Along with the headmistress of course.

Esmee looked over the little group. Beck with her faded pink hair. She was alright. She had never really been mean, and Esmee was sure that there had been moments where she had tried to befriend her. But... It just always ended weirdly, for some reason. After her came a blonde that everyone at Doglas knew, Aurora. Someone that didn't mind to take the stage, someone that demanded the stage and attention. Someone that Esmee tried to stay away from as much as possible, just like the male with his leather jacket. Again, he had never been directly mean to her. But, well, he was just choas from what she could remember of the class they had both taken a few years ago. Last but not least there came a head ful of red curls. "Hayley!" She quickly covered her mouth, surprised she had even produced any sound. But seeing that familiar face gave her a bit of relief. Not that she was really close with the young girl either, but they had spend some time together in the kitchen. Mostly Esmee just feeding her new recipes she had tried, while the other talked her ears off. She had always very much enjoyed that voice filling the kitchen, and had even looked forward to it. Yet, with everyone already going towards the group, Esmee decided to hang back. There was nothing wrong with staying in the shadows, right?

Tehuri smiled at the male that was towering over her so easily as he immediately took over the care of the new students. Not that she had expected anything else. He was just a gentle soul, much like only one other member of his family. She was about to step back when one of the girls spoke up with a bit of an unsure tone to her voice. She gave the female a friendly smile and shook her head. "There are no rules against that, Beck," she spoke, "honestly it would be weird if there was a rule against people being addressed how they wished to be addressed." Something that included much more than just names.

The only male in their group was a lot more direct, perhaps even rude, about it. Though she could see he was a bit shocked about that as well, when he mellowed down his quick remark. "Reed, it is then," she reassured him, while other students of Valendor were coming over. Selena, of course. She had been so excited about this the second it had been announced. She did not understand the obsession she had with the human life, but at the same time, she could. Was she not the same with trying to study different cultures, different languages? Though she didn't narrow it down to only human societies. However Selena more or less forced Azuris to come along and greet his new roommate. Oh, he was not happy about that. But so be it. It would be good for him to socialize a bit more.

Her emerald eyes quickly moved to the girl in question as she had pointed out that Tehuri had gotten the name completely wrong. "My sincere apologies, Hayley," she spoke with a genuine tone of regret. It was one thing to not know someone preferences at the first meeting, it was a whole other thing to get their name wrong. Aleksi and Cynder were on their way to the little group as well, and even Wilma was making introductions. It seemed like this really worked to get people to socialize a bit more. "Beck, Aurora, Reed and Hayley, welcome to Valendor. I will leave you in the hands of my students now," Tehuri spoke, "but if anyting is the matter, or you have any questions or problems that cannot be answered or solved, don't hesitate to come to me." She looked over towards Bran, giving him a thankful head nod again, before she left the room. Time to surround herself with books and look further into the collapse of Dolgas, which hopefully would not confirm the suspicions she had.

Valerian Reed
A possible gym buddy?!!?!? Great!!
Reed had barely come deeper into the room, when there was already a girl buzzing around him and the other douglas students like a bee. The girl introduced herself as Selena. She was all over the students from Dolgas. She complimented his jacket and went as far as touching the material. Reed was a little confused and just looked at the girl under his eyebrows. “Umm.. Thanks?” He reacted to the odd compliment, but Selena was already complimenting the other two of the Dolgas trio. Reed saw this as an opportunity to get away from her. Not that he had anything against the girl. She was a little extreme, yes, but she was also polite and seemed nice enough.

Reed's attention went from Selena to Aleksi, his new roommate. Finding the new roommate was easier than he had expected. He had screamed being the one when Tehuri had mentioned the name Aleksi. He was tall and.. shirtless for some reason. His muscular body could be easily seen thanks to the lack of shirt. He must be a weightlifter too or otherwise a sporty person, Reed thought. Cool. Maybe he could get a gym buddy out of Aleksi? How fun that would be! Usually he just did sport alone, but a gym/sport buddy was something he had always wished for. Listening to good music and chatting with someone while doing sport sounded like a dream come true.

Reed opened his mouth in order to ask about the whole gym buddy thing, when Aleksi was talking again. Reed didn’t want to interrupt, he had possibly already given a bad image of himself so it was best to just shut his mouth. Aleksi introduced the smaller guy close to him as Cynder. “Okayy, nice to meet y’all!” Reed answered, and just nodded when Aleksi welcomed him and the other Dolgas students. Other Valendor students came closer to the newcomers, some talking to their new roommates. Reed moved his gaze to Tehuri, who had just mentioned his name as well the names of Beck, Aurora and Hayley. Before leaving, Tehuri spoke to them. She welcomed them for the last time, while adding she would be available if anyone had questions or unsolved problems.

Reed nodded again and by that, Tehuri had left the room. The gym buddy thing popped up again in his mind. Asking wouldn’t hurt, right? The worst outcome was Aleksi turning down the offer, and that was something Reed could handle. So by these thoughts he turned his focus back to Aleksi. “Yo, man, I have no idea why you are not wearing a shirt but that’s not important. I just had to say that you have a great body!” Reed said while appreciating Aleksi’s body. This interaction could remind some of an overhyped teengirl obsessing over her celebrity crush. He had a small pause before he continued his speech. “I can see you do sport regularly. I do some sports too, mostly weightlifting, and I wondered if you would like to come with me to the gym some day?” Reed's expression was his regular unfriendly resting bitch face, but the tone of his voice was friendly and full of excitement.
