Aleksi Valdir
Beta of the Eryna pack

"Hey there," Aleksi chuckled when Bran came over. And before he knew it he was wrapped up in those strong arms. Something that didn't happen often, definitely not as often as he would like. More often than not it was him pulling the other into a rather one sided hug, but things like that had never discouraged him. He knew the other didn't mind. At least most of the time not. Butt grabs were a different story. Though it had been funny to see the other leap that high. The memory still a very fond one to him. He pressed himself up against the other as he cherished the moment that lasted far too short, thanks to the headmistress. "Moj sorodnik," he spoke with a soft loving tone. He rubbed his head up against Brans chin, unable to resist the urge to lick his cheek. Typical wolf like behaviour that most people would frown upon, but Bran should be used to it by now.

The wolf rolled his eyes as the vampire was welcomed in with grand gestures. Though he knew that Bran himself was probably even more peeved about having to let the headmistress come in and even gave her his welcome. As they all knew what that meant. "Cynder?" There was an immediate perk up in his voice as he looked over towards the chair the other pointed out. Right as the other vampire spilled whatever she was drinking all over her chest. Now, had he been a different man, he might have made a point about how she should lose her shirt, or dress, as well. Though thank the gods, he was not. He stepped forward to do as Bran had suggested when the shy girl took the towel and something seemed to make her blush. His gaze darted back towards his friend, though the curious sparkle in his eyes was quickly killed.

Aleksi whirled around as Aspen had gotten his hands on the poetry, and even though the lycan was not the best with privacy and such. He knew that book was very very off limits for people and to be ridiculed like this. He growled, lowly and threatening. His lips curled slightly back as there was not a thought in his mind to warn him for what the humans might think. For the sound he produced was dark, low, and animalistic. Yet an unlike voice came in between to put the fae in place, enough to make him look surprised at the merman that had joined the party. Though it was still rather obvious from his body language he was still very ready to rip up the fae, whether that would be a good idea or not. It was Bran, once more, that was able to calm him with those few words that carried so much meaning. Which were quickly backed up by the headmistress. He let out a deep sigh as he let the tension in his muscles go. Cynder. Yes. He had been on his way to the cat.

"Crazy day, huh?" His grin matching that cheshire look of Cynder. His former anger had dissolved completely. Since lucky for the Seelie-prince, his anger flared and died quickly. Especially when things seemed to be settled and he had such a nice distraction. "How is your hu-roommate so far?" he asked, having honestly forgotten completely who had been paired with the cat. He handed Cynder one of the steins with glug he had filled before he had given up on pouring one for everyone as this party was a lot more popular than he had assumed.

Tehuri Blackmore
The Ancient Vampire Queen

As usual, and expected, the Glug party was quite a hit among the students. Not only her own Valendor ones, but the humans had been tugged along as well. She smiled as she stepped aside when some people made their way into the party, not bound by ancient rules like she was. "Good evening, Cynderic," she greeted the cat that squeezed by, with human in tow. "Thank you, Bran," she said as she bend her head and even sunk into a quick curtsy at his formal gesture, "I will make sure not to overstay my welcome." She knew he could have just as well send her away and probably the only reason she was allowed in was the company around, and how difficult it would have been to explain turning away the headmistress. To the humans that is. Their students knew what was up.

Two steps and she was greeted with a rather unusual question. Tehuri looked over towards the male that was holding a journal. Though she doubted the contents were written by him, as his previous words had not made that obviously clear already. "Mister Cedarflame," she said with a deep sigh, "you better chose wisely as it may be your own eulogy." She stepped forward again as Bran seemed to have the situation under control just perfectly, until those last words spoken. She tensed as she turned towards the male. The words may be spoken lightly, it was a serious accussation to make. Her emerald eyes took in the male, as he waited for the journal to be returned to him. The dark growl of his best friend not going unnoticed, though the sound was pretty hard to miss, even without supernatural hearing. "You'll find no protection with me when the Law is broken," she spoke towards the fae-male, "so try, for once, to behave as would be expected from someone of your descent.". Yes, she was willing to go far to protect her students. From the world, from their family, from each other, but actions had consequences. Aspens excile was already a great example of that and she was not gonna hold her hand over his head, if he chose to make the same mistakes again.

Though Tehuri had to keep down a chuckle when a rather unlikely person mingle into the situation. Unlikely to be here at a party that was. For she was perhaps one of the few that knew the whole story and reasons for Aspens excile. She gave Bran a soft little nod, even though he was already distracted by whatever gift the merman now presented him with. She looked at the two of them for a moment longer, it was nice to see Azuris be out of the water for once and it was rather sweet to see Bran this excited over something. It warmed the heart, even hers. She turned around to continue her way to do what she came for and to keep true to her word that she'd not overstay her welcome.

"Hello Dexter," Tehuri said as she sat down on the edge of the bed. There was no way to tell if the male could or could not hear her. Some people did, some people didn't. "I think it is time for you to wake up," she said. His heart rate was steady and his breathing was soft and gentle. It was truly as if he was just sleeping, which on its own could do little harm if he was just passed out. However he had been hit on the head pretty hard, so there was a chance of concussion and with that the possiblity of brain damage. And that was the reason she was here to wake him up. "Come on, I need to see those pretty eyes and see if you can hold a conversation with me," she said. Gently she reached out to his shoulder, just giving it a squeeze for now.

Cynderic Mayfield

After a couple of minutes, Cynder's short attention span had gotten the best of it. He stood off near the edge of the room staring down at his phone. Once the small commotion of the spill then of aspen toating the book pulled him from his scrolling. He glanced around reading the room, his smirk widening as Blackmore warmed him. "Oooooo someones gonna geeeet it" He teased. He didn't really care, if you don't want people going through your stuff then don't leave it out? It made sense to Cynder. Especially if you were inviting so many people over.

Chittering quietly to himself he brought his gaze back to his device. Tip-Tap-Tip-Tap-Tip-Tap Ding. Shwoop. Tap-Tap-Tap. Cynder's attention brought back by Aleksi's words. He immediately perked up. "Hey hunk!" He exclaimed. "Ugh, I know today has been like super active yeah? I mean like it's better than just doing classes and stuff but still craaazy." Cynder took the stein and sipped as he thought about the question. "Eh, I guess it's a bit early to like pin her down but she seems cool so far. Ohhh but what about yours?" He quickly glanced around seeing if he could spot them and chuckled a little seeing them sitting with little Pierogi. "A real life of the party it seems."

Cynder remembered something he had meant to ask and panicked a little. Deciding to quickly ask before he could forget again. "Oh! Hey uh..." Suddenly unable to find his words. His shoulders rose slightly and he dropped his gaze towards the floor then to one of the many things around the room. Nope. Can't look at him. "There was something I wanted to ask you....later." Later, great we're pushing it off now. Future Cynder is gonna hate this. "Um, like if you're not doing anything after this?" He panicked a moment and blurted out. "I mean like if you don't want to that's cool though it's no big deal!" And then immediately clammed back up taking another drink, cause alcohol will definitely make this better.

Selena
Selena was not used to this much attention being focused on her at once. It seemed as if every eye in the room was focused on her and her stained dress. Bran, being the ever so kind host, brought forth a towel and handed it off to Esmee, who then tried to help Selena clean the mess. She noticed the slight flush in her roommates cheeks, but was too flustered herself at the moment to think anything of it. "I'll be fine. Thank you, everyone." Selena smiled at all of her peers who had expressed concern to put their worry at ease as she stood up and pressed the towel to her dress.

As she stood up Aspen laughed at her and said "...looks like vampires get their period's after all!". Selena froze and looked immediately at her roommate to gauge her reaction. Before anything worse could be said, Selena excused herself. "I'll be right back, I'm going to go change." Selena rushed out the door, gently pushing Blackmore out of the way in her haste.

Selena rushed down to her dormitory and pulled the dress she was wearing off. It was one of her older pieces, and although still in good condition, if it was completely ruined she wouldn't be heartbroken. She sprayed what remained of her stain removal cleaner on the dress and ran it under cold water before setting it aside to be washed later. Selena didn't want to be gone too long, so she decided against wearing another one of her lolita ensembles. She pulled a pale yellow sweater she had knit last winter out of her closet and pulled it on over a pair of cozy leggings. Party appropriate and comfortable. Selena set her phone down on her desk and set the timer to take a photograph so that she could look herself over before heading back to Bran's room. Ugh, it was such a pain to not be able to see oneself in the mirror!

Selena deemed herself acceptable and returned to Bran's room to see that Azuris and Mori had joined, as well as Cynder and Finn. It seemed as if the whole school was here now. Selena walked up to Bran and handed him the towel she had "borrowed" back. "Thank you, Bran. I hope the stain comes out. If not I can buy you a new one to make up for it."

Selena didn't know what had happened in her absence, but the room felt a slight bit tense and Aspen seemed to be in the center of it. Of course. The prick. Not wanting to put anymore attention onto herself, Selena decided to hover on the sidelines of the group and found herself near Isaac, who was comfortably lounging in a chair. In choosing to hide in the background for a while, Selena hoped that perhaps Esmee would hit it off with another one of her classmates, and perhaps make more friends than just Selena. So far it seemed that Esmee and Whilma would get along well, and Selena hoped a friendship would blossom between the two.

"Hello, Isaac." Selena said as she leaned on the wall nearby. "Nothing bad happened while I was gone, did it?"

Aspen

If he was being honest with himself, Aspen didn't give two shits about what Bran had written down in his poetry. Unless, said poetry was about steamy encounters with sexy forest nymphs or whatever Bran's species was attracted to. The point of bringing up the journal had been to get the room to stop thinking about his comment towards Selena, and it had certainly worked. Aspen tossed the journal towards Bran, who was now doing his best to be polite in the face of guests.

"Why, Mistress Blackmore, I would say I behave perfectly well for someone of my descent. I'm here at Valendor after all, aren't I?" Aspen plastered and even faker smile than usual as he spoke to the headmistress. She was one of two people who knew his oh so tragic backstory, and he would greatly appreciate it if she didn't go spreading the tale around to other students as a way to punish him.

The situation was starting to smooth itself over until HE entered the room.

Aspen didn't even bother to hide the scowl from his face as Azuris came forward's and stood before him. If Aspen hadn't harbored such a dislike for the merman, he would have found Azuris to be very attractive. The sharp features and quiet yet mysterious disposition would have drawn him in if he were any other male. But no, he was Azuris. And Aspen hated Azuris.

The merman chided him for the manner in which he had treated Bran. Aspen hadn't even been aware Azuris had been around to see the whole show play out. Then, Azuris gave Bran a shiny box full of shiny junk, which made the big lug smile and Aspen was sure the man would cry if someone else were to shower him with any act of kindness. Ugh, the people who had stayed at Valendor for break were such saps.

"Perhaps you should learn how to think your actions through, before embarrassing yourself once again."
Aspen repeated Azuris words over in a high pitched mocking tone, knowing he sounded nothing like the actual prince. He rolled his eyes and found an empty seat. Clutching his mug of glug close to his chest and began stalking social media on his phone. This party was going to be a drag, might as well settle in for the long haul.

Azuris
Young Prince of Nilmehona

My Friend. Well, wasn't it a bit early to throw around those kind of words? The merman however did not correct the huge male as his present was taken, and approved off. More than just approved as it was put away on such an honorable place for everyone to see. His lips turned up in a seldomly shown true smile. "I'm sure you will find great use for them," he said, though the other had already moved on to Isaac.

For a moment the merman felt lost, once again feeling out of place, like a fish on land... Well, that was not even entirely untrue, now was it? His eyes moved back towards Aspen as his spoken words were repeated in such a childish way. "Yes, I very much understand that is too much to ask of you," he said with a dismissive shake of his head. And to think the fae was twice his age... Unbelievable. But at least the book was back in the hands of the rightful owner and peace seemed to have settled. Though it seemed that the vampire had made her exit for whatever reason. Perhaps he should too... It was not like anyone was looking forward to see him here.

However Azuris moved over to take one of the glasses that was filled with glug. He sniffed on it, before he took a small sip. The spice and burn surprising him as he let out a little cough. His hand moving up to quickly cover the light blue scales that appeared, but luckily quickly vanished again. Oh, he should definitely not have more than one drink. Or things will end up awkwardly. Or 'fun' as most people seemed to refer to such drunken stupid moments. Yet, he took another sip. This time better prepared for the sting and the way it set his throat on fire.

Azuris made his way through the room, not wanting to be in anyones way. Though he had no idea what to do really. Small talk was really not his thing and well... he couldn't blame the others for not being too eager to engage him into their conversations. He knew very well that he wasn't that likeable, something he didn't mind at all, but it made moments like this rather awkward. Why had he thought it was a good idea to come here again? Right, because of the humans. Humans that he, if possible, disliked even more than most other beings. At least most supernatural beings treated the world and nature with the respect it deserved instead of prancing around like they owned everything and were in their right to bend every thing to their needs, with no regards for the consquences.

Such happy party thoughts that were distracted him as he gently bumped into someone. He quickly blinked his eyes as he stepped back, creating distance between him and the... boy who was holding onto Pierogi as if it was a lifesaver. "I am sorry," he said, not having trouble to admit he had been wrong here. He looked at the male for a moment longer, not able to pinpoint his name or anything at all. "You must be one of the Douglas-students," he concluded. It would be rather embarrassing if he was wrong about that. "Are you..enjoying things here?" he asked. Not that he really cared, but well, if he was gonna stay here for a few moments, he might as well engage into the social conduct of useless small talk

Bran set the drink down on the desk, resuming his duties. He tried to towel Selena off, his fingers colliding with Esmee's. He flushed, looking into her eyes. Why was his breath hitching? Why had his heart skipped a beat? Bran, true to his training, fought through that, besides giving the girl a flirtatious smile. Selena fled before he could recover and help. That did seem to be her way. Change instead of fix the problem. Bran wondered if her people were the same, or had driven Selena to that move. Bran hugged Aleksi in the style of Aleksi's people, looking down at him with admiration. Subtly shoving his best friend towards his interest, Cynder, Bran watched the party to see what anyone needed. Bran flicked his eyes over Azuris and Aspen as they sparred their little spar. He was rooting for Azuris, but neither should know the truth. Bran's eyes flickered to Blackmoore's, conveying quiet confidence in his actions. Bran then watched Aleksi and Cynder for a while, torn between moving it forward and asking Cynder for help. Finally, Bran strode between Cynder and Aleksi, looking at the cat man seriously.
"I want you to teach me to dance. I can pay, whatever it costs." Bran gave Cynder a seriously look, his heart set on this.

Beck was not normally a religious person, but the 24 hours which had just passed made her cast a suspicious glance towards the darkening skies, attempting to make some sort of threatening eye contact with whatever higher deity had decided to rain this absolute shitstorm on her. In fact, if someone had decided to ask, “Hey, so why are you staring at that cloud like it kicked a puppy and called your mother an inbred goat?”, they’d have answers.
To begin with, a rare phone call from her mother had informed Beck that her mom didn’t have the funds to take care of all six kids during the winter break, and due to Beck being the oldest and the one farthest away she’d naturally be the one missing out. The screaming and crying of children in the background of her mother’s voice made Beck set her jaw and push down whatever feelings she might have had with a, “‘Course, mom, call me if you need anything.”
While sulking in a corridor, trying to channel all the emo angst from her teens against the situation, the damn ceiling had decided to drop on top of her and send a stone straight into her temple. She’d woken up in the hospital surrounded by similarly wounded students and staff. The school had apparently crumbled to a heap of rocks during the duration of her... forced nap. Miraculously, Beck seemed fine aside from a throbbing in her head. “Also, we had to stitch your forehead together. It’s looking fine, but we’re going to keep you a little longer to keep an eye on you.” Yay.

Dolgas Academy was no more. Instead, the famously secretive Valendor had agreed to host the unlucky students. Beck watched the majority of them leave early in the morning the day after, a cold sweat breaking out across her back at the thought of them having at least a whole day to form new cliques while she was stuck under the flickering lights in the hospital… or maybe it was just the mild concussion making her perspire.
Nevertheless, her social anxiety (and throbbing headache) was at least somewhat drowned out by a feeling of excitement. Though the destruction of the academy was horrible, she’d been curious about the private school ever since she first heard the rumors circulating it. While she didn't believe them all, it was intriguing - like an old romance novel, or a mystery one, or both. The idea of such wealth and fanciness was as alien to her as a higher power sending curses from above - all of those ideas being challenged rather suddenly.

When a large black car - with a bit of a kidnapper vibe, if she was being honest - arrived to pick the remaining students up, she kept the parts of her face not throbbing with sewn together skin pressed against the window of its back seat, soaking in the hour long drive.
The Valendor grounds practically smelled rich; like deep earth and old forest, and the actual school was more of a castle than anything else. Beck had to consciously keep her mouth from falling open and expose just how absolutelynotusedtoanyofthis she was, instead she adopted a nervous grin and clutched the backpack in her hands tight against her jean-clothed thighs. “We- uh- should have tried making the academy fall apart earlier if we knew this was the alternative, right?”, she laughed before remembering that that is definitely not what one should say to people having just experienced a rather traumatic event. Her free hand subconsciously went up to wrap a strand of hair around a slender finger as she shifted her gaze around, looking for someone or something to arrive and hopefully able her to make herself busy somewhere - the combination of the last day’s events, this intimidating wealth, and the possibility that she might have offended her fellow students with an untimely joke, bringing her dangerously close to an emotion resembling a slight nervous breakdown. At least there was a chance that a school this fancy would have something like a therapist.

Aurora.

Waking up to the artificial glow of the hospital lights above her, Aurora couldn't deny that she was confused. These weren't the lights of her room, nor any lights she remembered seeing at the school before. These lights were almost humming, whereas the lights at Dolgas never made a sound. Not that she ever remembered paying that much attention to the light fixtures there, it was more one of those things you noticed in the back of your mind, and only noticed a difference when it slapped you in the face. Like now.

With a soft groan, she lifted her hand to rub at her temple, wondering why her head hurt so much. When she felt something graze her arm she jumped-- which didn't help her headache--, turning her head to see a bunch of tubes and lines sticking out of an IV in her arm. What the hell? Her eyes followed the tubes to a beeping machine that hovered over her like some mechanical guardian angel. It didn't take a genius to figure out where she was, but before she could find the call bell for the nurse to ask more questions, she went under again.

While most of the students got released from the hospital pretty quickly, Rory was one of the lucky ones who got to have an extended stay. She later found that she'd hit her head (on what? who knew) and had a nice knot hidden by her icy blonde hair. She also had minor cuts and scrapes littered over her arms and chest, and one gash that had required stitches above her left eye. That explained the headache earlier, though when she'd woken up later she'd managed to call the nurse and get something for that. She wanted to leave then and there, but she wasn't cleared yet.

The process to get cleared seemed to take forever, but finally, she was dressed and standing with the others as the car pulled up to take them to Valendor. She hummed under her breath as she got into the car, looking around at the others before the doors shut and the car started moving. Though she normally never shut up, Rory spent the majority of this car ride quiet, studying the others and the scenery as it flew by. When they reached Valendor, her eyes grew wide and her lips parted in surprise as everyone piled out. "This place..." She breathed, only realizing she was about to be left behind when she looked back down and noticed the others were already almost inside.

Hurrying to follow, Rory continued to stare as they got inside, turning in slow circles to try and ensure she saw everything. Hearing the comment one of the others made, Rory turned to face her, a playful smirk tugging at her lips. "I'll second that." Her smirk grew into a grin as she did yet another turn, a low whistle leaving her lips. "This place is fucking incredible. So much nicer than Dolgas. I can't wait to look around. Are we supposed to just wait here, you think?"

Aleksi Valdir
Beta of the Eryna pack

Hunk. Aleksi felt his heart skip a beat, or two. It was not that he was not used to being checked out, but this... this was Cynder. The little cute cat. "Much better than classes," he agreed. Though he was known for skipping classes, especially if the weather was nice or it was close to full moon. He was way too restless then, to sit around in a classroom and pay attention to things that should interest him. They normally did, but... the moon had its influence on his behaviour. Whether he wanted or not. "Guess we will find out soon," Aleksi spoke when the headmistress was leaving to pick up the new batch of humans.

His eyes traveled back to the only one that was among them for now. Still trying to figure out what that blush all was about. "Hmm?" Cynder rather quickly, and very easily, pull his attention back as he stayed silent, waiting for whatever the other had to say. His head tilting slightly as the other was looking at anything, but him. And somehow that caused him to feel nervous as well. Was this gonna be it? Was Cynder gonna- No. No, of course not, that would be ridiculious. Yet whatever it was that Cynder wanted to say was pushed to a later moment. "Yes. Of course, I'd love to! I mean, sure, no problem," he said with a soft grin. That nervous heart slowly settling again. Why the hell was he nervous? It was probably nothing important that Cynder wanted to ask him. Maybe to help move some stuff around his room or so. Yeah, it was probably something like that. "I will always make time for you, Cynder," he said, before biting his lip. That was needy. Very needy.

"Bran!" the lycan happily proclaimed when his best friend came over. He gently bumped his head into the others shoulder, resting his forehead against the other. Ugh, he was making such a fool out of himself. Why could he not just respond normally? "Dance?" he repeated surprised as he pulled back again. He took a big gulp of the glug, enjoying the warm feeling it spread through his body. He let out a deep breath. "What? You don't trust my dancing skills?" he said with a pout. Though it was obvious from the tone of his voice that he wasn't truly hurt by it. It was probably for the best, that serious look on Brans face... His eyes darted off towards the human girl again. Timid, frail...and very human. Would she be a good match for Bran? Would she even survive meeting his family. The disapproval, not that that was something Bran wasn't used to. There was nothing he could do right in his fathers eyes. And Aleksi was sure he didn't even knew all about it. He sighed deeply, worried for his friend, yet at the same time wishing him the best. He deserved happiness, to be loved, and this girl... she seemed she could give him that.

Tehuri Blackmore
The Ancient Vampire Queen

Tehuri gave Aspen a sharp look, but she let him be as the storm seemed to settle rather quickly. There were some stings from Aspen towards the other royal blood, and it was returned just as easily. Nothing dramatic. Her head turned when Selena returned in their mids, with clean clothes now. And not her usual style. "Ah, more students," she hummed to no one in particular. She listened how the little stones of the long drive up to the castle sounded under the wheels of the Mercedes. Four cars this time. At least, the message earlier had said four more humans were released from the hospital care. So she had only send four cars. Though if there had been more, they could of course just as well have shared a ride.

"I will bring the new students up here, for the welcome party," the headmistress said with a smile. She didn't really wait for an answer, either confirmation or objection as her high heels already carried her out of Brans room. Her dressed playing around her thighs as she quickly made her way down the stairs, waiting on the last bit as she listened to the students coming in on their own. Her lips curled up at the joke that was made, already a fan of the female. A second voice had joined in, inquiring about whether they should wait or not. And thus the headmistress decided to take the last steps down and turn the corner into the entree hall. "Welcome to Valendor," she greeted them. Her eyes sliding over them. Strong healthy heartbeats. "I am Tehuri Blackmore, the headmistress of Valendor," she spoke, "you can leave your bags here. They will be brought up to your rooms. No need to drag them around."

Her smile was gentle as she stood before the little group of humans, trying to fit the right names to the right faces. She should have studied those little pictures better when she had gotten their student files, but too late for that now. "Bran, one of our students, is throwing a little welcoming party. I can take you up there so you can also meet your new roommates," she suggested, "but if you rather wander around and make yourself familiar with the Academy, that is fine as well. The choice is yours." There were a lot of secrets on these grounds, but everything that was not meant to be seen by human eyes was carefully shielded off or they were unable to go into those rooms. "Those that want to join the party, please follow me," she said. She turned around and walked back the way she had come. Every now and then glancing over her shoulder to make sure they were following her, but not calling them back if they indeed decided to wander off on their own.

Beck’s wandering gaze flickered to the blonde and she mirrored the woman’s smirk with a sheepish smile of her own, soft relief filling her chest. Had Beck seen her before? She cursed herself silently for not paying more attention to the ones who had stayed behind in the hospital with her, and tried to sneakily identify the individual who fluidly moved to inspect their splendor surroundings. Checkered shirt, high heels holy fuck, and curious eyes - the left one being slightly swollen. Seems like Beck hadn’t been the only one subjected to a smooch by some falling object.
She shuffled slightly as the woman spoke again, stained white sneakers squeaking against the polished floors. “Uh, I guess? Or I hope so- think I’d get lost in about a minute if I tried to find anything here myself. I’m Beck by the wa-
As if summoned by her nervous babbling, a raven-haired woman turned the corner and this time Beck’s jaw did drop - her sneakers squeaking across the floor under the (perceived approving) gaze of the beauty. A student? No - Tehuri Blackmore, the Headmistress.
Beck quickly threw a gaze in her blonde schoolmate’s direction to see if she looked as shocked as Beck felt by the revelation, but quickly swiveled back to the headmistress.
Tehuri looked as if she belonged in the castle-like school; velvety black dress on a pale frame making her seem ethereal and timeless. Not for the first time Beck thought that yep, this is definitely a cult. Sorry mom.
She was roused from the sudden visions of cool-aid and cult-ness by the thought of booze when the headmistress mentioned a party. Though new people made her anxious, she’d learned from a relatively young age that that anxiety was quelled by intoxicants. If these private-school people even drank alcohol? It would be just her luck that they sat by shrines dedicated to Dionysis and chomped down on Ayahuasca when it was party time.
Either way, Beck eagerly followed the seriously way too pretty headmistress with bag bobbing against her vest-clad chest, her head swiveling from side to side to take in the “general splendor”. After a second she turned towards the group she’d arrived with and made a sheepish “come-along” gesture; despite them not really knowing each other, they were all fresh meat and thus comrades by necessity. And if nothing else they’d be on the same level of Ayahuasca-trip.
"Um so, Mrs. Blackmore, is this the first time you've let... outsiders in?"

Aurora.

Aurora wasn't really sure what to expect, going to a new school and all. There were plenty of rumors going around about Valendor, but now she would get a chance to discover the truth for herself and explore. Rory was definitely the exploratory type, and as soon as she stepped foot in the main area of the school, her eyes were already looking around, trying to see and take everything in. She wasn't alone, but even if she was, she would have been alright. The other girl seemed a little nervous if Rory was reading her right, but she could understand that. Especially considering what they'd just gone through with their own school pretty much collapsing on top of them.

For the most part, Rory felt okay after getting out of the hospital. She had some obvious injuries and a few not so obvious ones, like bruised ribs and plenty of hidden bumps and scratches. But the important part was that she was alive, and getting a fantastic opportunity. It was just school, sure, but there was something grand about Valendor that Rory was excited about. Rory turned as the other girl started to speak, a small laugh escaping her as she said she'd get lost. But before she could finish introducing herself, another voice reached them, and Rory turned yet again to come face to face with the most beautiful woman she'd ever seen.

Aurora's eyes widened slightly, but she was never one to remain speechless for long. "Thank you." She told the woman, who'd introduced herself as Tehuri Blackmore. Headmistress. "Aurora." She answered cheerfully, looking over at the other girl. "And this is Beck, I think, if I heard correctly." Looking back at the headmistress, Aurora took a few steps in her direction when the woman mentioned a party. "A welcome party, you say?" Moving to stand next to Beck, Rory shouldered her playfully. "We can handle that, I think, right?" Never one to turn down a celebration, Rory followed the headmistress as she headed back the way she'd come from.

The hallways were no less impressive than the main area, and Rory's eyes grew brighter and brighter as they traversed them. Beck's question drew Rory's attention back to the two of them, her eyes sliding up to the headmistress to see what her answer would be. "Is everyone from Dolgas here? Or coming here?" Rory added her own question, her heels clicking on the hard floors as they walked.

Aspen

This party was laaaame. Aspen hadn't been expecting much when he saw the invite, but this was even sadder than he had anticipated. He swallowed the last of his glug and wiped his mouth on the back of his sleeve, slamming the tankard down on the nearest surface and standing up.

"Sorry to go, but I've got a hot date with my bike. I'll see ya on the flip side."
Aspen made a peace sign with his fingers and left he room without even bothering to look at the others. He knew they didn't care about him or his presence, but he wasn't going to give them the satisfaction of them knowing that he knew. Although it wasn't sunny outside, Aspen pulled some sunglasses from his jacket pocket and slipped them on. Life was all about the aesthetics after all. He opened up the door and slipped into the cool winter air. He wasn't sure where he was going to go at this time of day, all of his usual human street racing buddies were busy with whatever they filled their sad little mortal lives with when they weren't behind the wheel. Perhaps he would just go on a leisurely, yet incredibly fast, country drive.

The sight of Blackmore standing in front of a group of humans stopped Aspen in his tracks.

"Oh ho!"
Aspen walked over and stood next to Tehuri. "What's this, fresh meat?" Aspen laughed at his own awful joke. Little did the humans know that if they weren't careful, they may just be somebodies meat entree for dinner that night. Among the group was an incredibly attractive young female. From behind the safety of his mirrored sunglasses, Aspen took the time to appreciate her wonderful figure.

"Have fun at the party, newbies!" Aspen called after the blonde as she followed Tehuri to Bran's dorm. Aspen found himself wishing he hadn't left he party after all...

Cynderic Mayfield

Cynder's gaze snapped back to Aleksi as he agreed to the meeting. His face lit back up. "Oh great!" He smiled wide. I'll always make time for you. That hit him in a way he wasn't expecting. They always say you get butterflies in your stomach when you're nervous. These were not butterflies, these were bees. Loud, angry bees. His insides vibrated with anxiousness as she grinned at Aleksi. He felt very vulnerable at the moment so it was no surprise the start it gave him when Bran was suddenly beside them with a grim look on his face. Cynder's shoulders raised up high again. If he had been in his cat form he'd look like your typical Halloween cat, before settling back down again as Aleksi attempted to banter with the serious man.

"You want me to teach you how to dance?" He repeated to make sure he heard him right as his brow raised curiously. "I mean... I guess yeah I can teach you. Although that's not exactly my area of expertise." He was very confused. Bran didn't seem like the type. Cynder followed Aleksi's gaze towards to human Bran had been talking to and he understood. The cat's face scrunched dubiously, now scheming as he looked up at the tall man. "My schedule is always open, except for tonight, no payment needed." He stated very surely. He couldn't wait to see how this was going to end up.

Valerian Reed
A party?!?! I’m in!
Reed had come to the new school just a little while ago. He couldn’t ever imagine anything bad to happen to him or his actual school, since he was so optimistic by nature. However what had happened had happened, and now was time to focus just on the present. It was exciting to come to a new school, especially in one that was so mysterious. Reed knew the city had two schools, his own and Valendor, but the second one seemed to be more hidden.

It was difficult to find info about it no matter where you looked. Online or in the library, you wouldn’t find anything. Not that Reed really visited the library that often or knew how to use computers. He was no nerd after all, though he wouldn’t mind being one since they seemed pretty chill: fun and relaxed. Flowers were more up on his ally no matter how shamed he was because of it. He was doomed to become a flower person since his birth. Thanks to his parents who decided it was a good idea to give all the children flower names.

Having a big sales garden and multiple flower boutiques didn’t mean you needed to give all your children a flower name. It really didn’t. However poor Reed’s, cough Valerian’s, parents seemed to think so. Reed shaked his head at the thought. Now wasn't the time to think about that. It was time to think about the present! Speaking of it.. a very attractive girl appeared in front of him and all the other students from his school. There was also a guy who mentioned something about fresh meat.

The girl, Tehuri the headmistress, welcomed the new student’s and told them there was a party going on. That was something that was up on Reed’s ally as well. And something he wasn’t ashamed of. He was surprisingly lightweight and he would giggle like a little girl, but at least everyone else had fun seeing a big man act that way. Anyways, Reed was a people person and parties meant people. Maybe he could make some friends or perhaps even a new girlfriend? “Party sounds dope.” He simply said out loud. Tehuri had asked the party goers to follow her and that’s what Reed did.

New students... More humans. Azuris sighed deeply as he heard Headmistress say she'd bring them up to the party. He could have known there would be more people joining. At least one person was leaving. Aspen. Good. He rolled his eyes as the male spoke about a hot date with his bike. As if anyone cared for his absence... He watched the male leave, and then looked around. Well, for a party, there was not much life anymore. It was more of a get together. Yes.

The merman looked a bit around to the people that were left in the room. Selena had made a reappearance after cleaning off the blood. Or at least taking off the wine blood clothes. He doubted she would have had the time to clean it, not even with the vampire super speed. "Tehuri is brining up new students," he said, as he overheard her question. He took a step closer over towards her as he looked at her sweater. "I like the color and material," he commented. The small smile on his face telling her the words were genuine. Of course they were. Azuris was not one to make compliments just for the sake of making someone else feel better. If he didn't like something, he just kept his mouth shut. Unless his opinion was asked, in that case the person was better prepared for the truth.

"Did you use a pattern?" Azuris asked as he looked back up towards the vampire. There was no question that Selena had made this herself. Though he knew she often did things freehanded as well, she was very talented. "I would like to try and make a sweater like that myself," he said, "if you don't mind sharing your work of course." He knew a lot of artists rightfully didn't like to give out their work or have other people mindlessly copy it. For him fashion was no difference from art. It was something created out of the mind from the maker. So that qualified it as art for him.

Hayley puffed out a breath as she lugged her bag. She had arrived later, the medics wanting to give her one last CT scan before she was cleared to leave. She managed to just catch a glimpse of Tehuri and the other Dolgas students, so she hurried after them. She was red in the face and huffing as she struggled to keep up with the long legged woman, but she was not going to be left behind again. So she kept up the hussle, suppressing her excitement as talk of a party continued amongst her classmates.
"A party could be fun. I just wish I had something nice to wear..." Hayley frowned. Her winter had been pretty isolated, having elected to close herself off and explore the web. Finally managing to keep pace, she turned towards the blonde girl... Aurora! That was her name.
"Umm, hi. I don't think you remember me, but I'm Hayley. Hayley O'Malley." Her voice trailed off as she flushed bright red. It was pretty obvious Aurora had been one of the popular girls. Why would someone like that bother to remember her name. Hayley decided to shut up and see where they were going, not wanting to bother anyone with her rather bothersome ability to ask too many questions. It was fairly easy to hang back, as she was winded somewhat. She longed to just collapse onto a couch and rest, but it seemed nothing would slow the lead woman down. Hayley wondered if she was a head student there, or a teacher. Either way, she moved with a grace that made even Aurora seem clumsy by compare. Hayley swallowed hard, as she realized she must seem even worse by comparison. Hayley had grown up her whole life feeling clumsy, and Tehuri only seemed to make it worse.

It was a little band of misfits it seemed. None of the students seeming to come from the same social groups and now dropped off randomly at a place like this. Tehuri could very well understand any hesitation, along with curiosity and some anxiety. Yet they all followed her like meek little lambs through the hallways, and luckily for them not towards their slaughter. "Yes. This is the first time since the school has been founded, 573 years ago," she answer with a soft smile. She looked over her shoulder toward the female that had asked the question. "Until now, there has not been a reason to change that." Her eyes wandered over the group, noticing how another female was trying hard to keep up. "Some of the board members might say there still was no reason," she said, "but luckily for you, I am the one making the final decisions when it comes to Valendor."

Officially there were no board members, but she had gotten some complaints here and there. Even when most students were not even at school right now. Those who were open to reason, she had written back or called back. Others she had simply ignored. "Everyone from Dolgas that has no other place to go, is welcome to come here," she answered the blonde female. There was quite some potential with her beauty, but she was dressing a bit sloppy in her opinion. And those heels, they made way too much sound. But she was only human. "Ah, mister Cedarflame, our top student when it somes to skipping," she said with an amused tone. She looked over towards the Fae male, and even though those eyes were hidden behind those glasses, she knew what he was looking at. Or whom better said. And apparently he appreciated the view. "Bet you skipped out a bit too early this time, didn't you?" She gave him a small wink, before continueing her way up the last stairs. It had been just a subtle way to give the newest newcomer a chance to keep up.

"When Valendor started, it was only meant to school those of Blackmore-blood," Tehuri started to give a little more background, since she had been asked. Partly at least. "But soon opened to others of either royal or nobel blood as well. Nowadays, most of those rules are brushed aside, yet one main rule still applies. You can only get into Valendor, if you are invited." That old ancient vampire rule that followed everywhere. She came to a stop before Brans room as she knocked lightly, before opening the door. "Just like you have been invited now," she said. She gestured for the students to go into the room first. Her eyes sliding down those ripped black pants of the bad boy for a moment as he passed her. Not bad... not bad at all.

"Everyone, can I have your attention, please?" Tehuri asked, though it was probably rather unnecessary. The new students would draw most attention either way. "Every new student is paired up with a roommate to make sure they will have someone that can help them around and make them familiar with the school. Please correct me, if necessary," she said. Her eyes went back towards the blonde that Aspen had been checking out. "Aurora, your roommate will be Cynderic," she said, as she had quickly scrolled through the list on her phone. "Rebeca, you are paired up with Wilma," she said. She gave the girl a soft smile and then gestured towards the Selkie, that was talking to the first human that had arrived here. "Valerian, oh such a lovely name. Ah, you are paired with Aleksi," she said. His face was rather handsome as well, she noted. "And lastly, Halley, you will share a room with Azuris." She gave the merman a warning look. "I hope all of you will be kind and welcoming of the hu-new students, they have been through enough." She gave a little nod towards Bran. "Thank you, and I will be in the library if you need me." She stayed at the door for now, in case there were any questions or protests.

Rebeca "Beck" Nielsen
573 years... ”Noble blood”... Invitation only.
Perhaps it was simply Beck’s own background and socioeconomic class which infiltrated her mind, but suddenly her thrifted sweater vest and worn-out sneakers felt too tight around her body, her old dye job made her scalp itch, and a sense of shame colored her cheeks pink. The feelings of not belonging - of being labeled trash - were not new to Beck, but they’d never hit her quite so strong before. Feeling less-than was hard. Choosing to transform it into punching upwards was easier.
Beck had once written a quite extensive paper on nobility's fascination with ”purity” and the inbreeding which ensued, for a history class; not that she’d mention it to the headmistress, but the way the gorgeous woman spoke of Valendor did remind her slightly of the phenomena. The young adult’s mouth twisted a bit - sure, she was grateful that Blackmore had convinced the… board members to let them stay, but it all left a sour taste in her mouth. ”Uh, cool. Thanks for the invitation, then.

The way the headmistress ushered the Dolgas students into the room made a sudden sensation of being meat - like the boy with the sunglasses had exclaimed - fill Beck’s body, and she suppressed a shudder. Danger, get away ran through her veins, drying her mouth. She nervously licked her lips to make it disappear. Holy fuck did she need a drink - sure, she had social anxiety, but it usually didn’t make her feel like other people were actual predators.

None of the Dolgas students standing next to her were people she normally hung out with - except for maybe the girl who’d introduced herself to Aurora as Hayley, seeing how she had that deer-on-ice look about her which Beck could relate to (hopefully that meant Beck would be able to air some cult-suspicions to the girl - she’d ruled Aurora out for that, seeing as how the blonde seemed absolutely elated to be there). The guy with teased-up hair seemed slightly familiar, like Beck had met him at some party but had been too wasted to remember his name or face, and the suspicion had grown stronger with his “oh party dope yeah” line. Fuck, why did they all look good? They’d just been released from the hospital, for Christ’s sake! Beck tugged at her pleated skirt, willing it to go past her bruised knees. It didn’t.

At least she’d been given some sort of mentor. Well, technically a roommate, but Beck assumed that the Valendor students had been given responsibilities stretching further than just “share your room with these filthy peasants”. And it looked like they might have something in common, Beck noted as her eyes followed the direction of Blackmore’s extended hand. Well, she had colored hair. That was about as much in common as Beck expected from any of these fancy people.
Giving an awkward wave towards her roommate, Beck was about to start clomping in her direction when she remembered something, turning back towards the headmistress. “Ah- I go by Beck, by the way, miss Blackmore. I mean, you can call me Rebeca if there’s some kind of rule, but eh- I prefer Beck.

Aurora.

Aurora had always been the adventurous type, always looking for new ways to have fun and new things to experience. Life at Dolgas had been life as your average high school student. There were parties, there were fights and there was always drama somewhere between someone. Or multiple someones. But beyond that, it was average, and Aurora couldn't help but feel like here at Valendor, life would be anything but. The place just screamed adventure, or at least excitement. Even if it was just a change in scenery, Rory was here for it.

Following the tall, elegant woman through the hallways, Rory refocused her attention on her when she started answering questions and explaining a bit more about Valendor. Rory made a soft noise of understanding, but didn't comment back, her attention elsewhere again. The place was beautiful, and so far, so were the people. Rory couldn't shake the excitement welling up inside of her as they were led through the hallways towards the welcoming party. They'd just reached a set of stairs when Rory's attention shifted forward again, this time landing on a male.

Even though he was wearing sunglasses, Rory's attention was immediately caught. Though she had no idea his eyes were on her, her eyes were definitely on him, her eyebrow quirking at his terrible joke. "Like every freshman in the world hasn't heard that one. Try a little harder next time, hm?" She asked as he brushed past them, telling them to enjoy the party. Moving on with the rest of them, Rory glanced over when she heard a voice from beside her. Hayley O'Malley, the girl introduced herself as. Tilting her head slightly, never slowing her pace, Rory tried to remember where she'd heard the name before. Or seen her face.

"We shared math, right? Mr. Beer, right?" Of course, that wasn't really his name. The teacher's name had been Bere, pronounced the same way as the drink, so everyone just called him that. Or maybe Rory was confusing Hayley with someone else. Either way, she didn't correct herself if she was wrong. The group stopped in front of a door and Tehuri gestured for them to go in first, which Rory had no problem with. She immediately scanned the room upon stepping inside, then looked behind her at her counterparts from Dolgas.

Roommates were assigned, though honestly, Rory had no idea who Cynderic was. Figuring she'd find out eventually, Rory turned back to Beck, Hayley, and Reed. They were quite the interesting group, Rory mused as she looked over them. Her eyes landed on the poor out of breath girl, her gaze softening a bit as she moved a little closer to her. "You wanna go around and say hi? Figure out who your roomie is?" She asked, her eyes flicking to the other two as well, her invitation extending to them too. "Or... maybe just find a place to sit and some water."

nine lives

Bran let out a loud laugh at Aleksi's implication that he should teach Bran to dance. He well remembered Aleksi's attempts to nudge him towards grace. While there was a time Bran could move with intricacy and dexterity, that was on the battlefield, not a dance floor. The truth was, Bran had never had anyone to dance with, and so he hadn't needed to learn. He noticed Aleksi flick his eyes towards Esmee, and he tensed, giving a soft warning growl. He may not have had a reason before, but he did now. Nobody at home would dance with him, but maybe she would. After all, here he wasn't the pariah. The freak who chose the path of peace over the desires of his own father. Forcing himself to smile, he nudged Aleksi gently.
"I still remember the one dance you taught me. Apparently it is used in strip shows. Besides, we all know Cynder is MUCH cooler than you." He gave Cynder a huge smile as the little cat man agreed to teach him. He had been nervous. Usually the popular people in his village had avoided him, and it always made him nervous to ask the man for anything. Cynder oozed cool, and not for the first time, Bran wished he could do the same. Bran shot Cynder a knowing look as he emphasized that the lessons would not happen tonight. He was happy for Aleksi, though he wished that happiness didn't come with a spike of jealousy. He wondered, as he always did at night, what it might be like to be accepted by your people for who you are. Shaking his head to clear it, he nodded to Cynder.
"Of course. You have much more important things to do than deal with my clumsiness. I shall pay you at the start of the lessons, if that's suitable?"

Bran jumped as there came a knock upon his door. He hadn't been expecting anyone else. All the Valendor students had made some kind of appearance, even Cinderflame had appeared, which had surprised Bran immensely. Typically the fae stayed away from Bran, as they were not exactly the best of friends. Clomping over with his large boots, he approached the opening door, half expecting Aspen to come calling for more booze. Instead the headmistress had appeared in the company of what he could only assume were more humans. He strode forward, filling the doorway as he smiled in his best friendly manner, hiding his oversized canines behind his lips.
"Hello. I'm Bran. Bran Silverash. Welcome to my room. There is food and drink a plenty, as well as some comfy seats." Bran didn't mention he had assembled the chairs with the help of Selena. He was a humble man, and did his best to hide his light under a bushel.
"I'm also more than happy to provide some nice compresses if any of you are still injured." Taking a small step back, Bran ushered the group into his room with a flourish. Moving away, he prepared enough glasses of glug for the new arrivals, handing them out to those who requested them.

Valerian Reed
A party?!?! I’m in!
All the Douglas students going to the party, Reed included, followed Tehuri’s lead. Reed let his gaze switch from her to the Douglas students. They all seemed familiar, but Reed couldn’t say he knew either of them that well. While leading them in the right direction, Tehuri kept explaining the history behind the school. Reed was only half listening and to be honest, most of her talk went over him. He had always been curious about Valendor, but now that he actually learnet about it, he didn’t know what to think. It was almost as if he didn’t actually want to know more about the school. Valendor had always been such a mystery to him that knowing more about it made it less mysterious and less interesting. However it was predictable that the mystery would wash out sooner or later. He was now attending this school after all.

Reed started to get lost in his thoughts, and was bringed back to reality, when the group suddenly stopped walking. They were behind a door. Tehuri knocked lightly, before opening it. She gestured for the Dolgas students to go into the room first. They were barely in the room, when Tehuri asked for everyone’s attention. "Every new student is paired up with a roommate to make sure they will have someone that can help them around and make them familiar with the school. Please correct me, if necessary." Having a roommate, who knew more about the place and it’s customs seemed helpful. Reed just hoped he would get a fun roommate, who had similar interests to him. But overall the roommate’s personality didn’t matter too much since he got easily along with all kinds of people.

Tehuri was listing who would be who’s roommate. Reed couldn’t wait to hear who would be his roommate, not that just knowing a name would tell him anything. When he finally heard who would be his roommate, Reed cringed. Not because of the roommate but because Tehuri has used his real name and even commented on it being lovely. “Don’t call me that”, Reed blurted out. “I mean… I prefer being called Reed”, he continued since his previous comment had sounded a little rude. He gave an apologizing smile for Tehuri, hoping she wouldn’t think of him as a rude jack-ass.

A guy with a friendly smile strode further, filling the doorway. He introduced himself as Bran Silverash and welcomed the new students to his room. He explained there was plenty of food and drinks as well as some comfy seats. Bran also mentioned, if anyone needed help with their injuries, he would be happy to help. “Hey. I’m Reed. Thanks, that sound’s dope”, Reed spoke trying to achieve a similar friendly tone that Bran had. To Reed who almost got bored to death in the hospital, this all sounded very good. Getting to know new people and getting drunk, he hadn’t done that in a while. Reed hadn’t yet made a game plan. He didn’t know if he should think of his reputation or just have fun and get drunk ignoring the possibility of embarrassing himself.

Bran took a step back letting the group in the room. Moving away, he prepared enough glasses of glug for the new arrivals, handing them out to those who requested them. Reed took a moment to think about his game plan. Thinking isn’t for me. Might as well have some fun. He thought and settled for the second opinion that seemed more appealing. So without thinking about it anymore, Reed took a glass.

His attention moved to a pair of girls talking, Aurora and Hayley, both from his school. Aurora asked Hayley if she wanted to go around and say hi, figure out the roommate. Her eyes flicked to Beck and Reed, extending the invitation to them too. "Or... maybe just find a place to sit and some water", Aurora continued. “Pfftt. Who drinks water at a party?” Reed asked with a grin on his face. He took a gulp out of his class before talking more. “I’m here to have fun and maybe figure out who's my roommate on the side.” He continued while walking deeper to the room.

Selena
"Oh, hello Azuris!" Selena peeled herself off the wall and perked up at the approach of the merman. The two didn't talk often, Selena could tell the man preferred to be left to his own devices, and she respected that. "More new students? Oh, that's wonderful! Well...I mean that they have a place here, not that their previous home was destroyed. That's just awful."

At the mention of her sweater Selena looked down at her top and beamed, not bothering to hide her fangs from view. Esmee was probably distracted anyways. "Thank you! I knit it over the summer!" She lovingly stroked the pastel yellow material, remembering the hours spent knitting the piece together while watching a human K-Drama. "I still have the pattern saved somewhere on my laptop. I would absolutely love to share it with you! Do you already know how to knit? I can teach you! Oh, that would be so much fun!" Selena had to stop herself from reaching forwards and clasping Azuris's hands in hers out of excitement. He liked his space, she wanted to respect that. She began thinking of spending afternoons with the merman sitting beside the waterside and knitting in a comfortable silence. Ah, it sounded wonderful.

Selena looked to the door as Bran let in a trio of humans led by Tehuri. "Oh! They're here!" She then turned her attention back to Azuris. "You come find me when you want to get started! You have my information right? If not, you know where to find me, right? If not in my dorm, I'm usually in my workshop. Just follow the trail of glitter I tend to leave behind." Selena smiled. "I'm going to go say hi to the new student's, do you want to join me?"

Without waiting for his answer, Selena strode over to the trio of newcomers. "Hello! You must be Esmeralda's peers from Dolgas! I'm Selena!" Selena gave a little wave and looked expectantly at the humans. "I absolutely love your jacket!" Forgetting to respect boundaries, Selena reached out and touched the material of the boys jacket to see if it was real leather. She really couldn't tell. She turned to the two girls, saying to the blonde: "Oh! Your ensemble is lovel!" The other girl was dressed more casually, and Selena respected that. She herself was currently dressed far more comfortably. "And you have such pretty eyes! A striking shade of blue!"

Yeah, this was going exactly as he had expected and feared. Azuris took a small step back when Selena came forward, but despite her enthusiasm, she seemed to collect herself. "I know how to knit," he answered shortly. It seemed even more annoyed than usually, but for once he wasn't that annoyed. It was just that Selenas excitement was such a stark contrast to his cold behaviour. "But I probably will need some help with the top part. I normally only use the standard stitching..." he admitted, with a small smile even. Though he wasn't sure if she had seen it, when her attention was taken away by the newcomers.

More strangers. How much fun. "Yeah, I'll find you," he muttered as he watched the new people. Three ladies and a gentleman. The merman took him in for a moment, appreciating the strong jawline and that messy hair. All until suddenly his name was mentioned and he looked at the other vampire. His eyes narrowing a bit. Of course, she had to chose him for this. Instead of Bran who was probably looking much more forward to the socializing and whatever. He let out a deep sigh and glanced towards the younger vampire next to him. "Guess I should..." he said, but both tone and body language made it very obvious he would rather do anything else.

With Selena being all over the students and giving them compliments on their clothes, the difference in their personalities was again being crystal clear. Though he did look a bit more at the ladies, especially the one that was to become his roommate. He forced himself to walk up to her and offer her a handshake. "I am Azuris, guess you have some cruel faith to me stuck with me," he said. Words that were suppose to be joke, but they weren't that far from the truth. As much as he disliked having to share his privacy and his pool room, it probably must be even worse for her. She didn't seem like the most confident person either. So he probably should try and be a bit more friendly, so she wouldn't feel like she was a bother to him. She wasn't. Not really. Everyone was a bother to him. "Do you like to swim?" he asked, in some attempt to have a converstaion. And it was not really something unimportant to know...
