Loyal viewers of Parody could recognize him with his laugh alone. It was annoyingly ear-wrenching with a touch of mischievousness that hinted at the trouble he was stirring up. While most believed that it was a persona he put up during stream to farm engagements, it is unfortunate that he was simply built that way.

An unfiltered burst of mirth that seemed to fuel his endless antics, he would intentionally cause trouble and wait for heroes to flock in and then suddenly, his name would be trending once again. While these mock fights were a great source of entertainment for both civilians and mutants alike, he couldn’t deny that there was a selfish reason behind all of this. A part of Karl craved the attention, though he also harbored ambitions for power. By challenging heroes and engaging in these staged conflicts, he hoped that his ability would grow stronger. The cameras pointed at him were just a bonus.

At the end of the day, Karl is just hero obsessed. He’s always eager to discuss their feats and ideals, often turning conversations into enthusiastic monologues about his favorite heroes. Once you get past his lengthy rants and if you don’t mind his mischievous streak, you’ll find him to be a good companion. His loyalty is genuine, and he has a unique way of bonding by mimicking your habits or even powers as a form of connection. Don’t be shocked if you see him use your ability in one of his streams. It just means that you’re stuck with him indefinitely.

Background

Karl's obsession with heroes and mutants began in childhood, where he was always the first to claim Sentinel in their makeshift superhero games. To him, heroes were legendary, untouchable figures adored by all, and he couldn't grasp the prevalent anti-mutant sentiment. His parents, both mutants and members of the newly formed Greenfield Guild, sought a peaceful life, but Karl wanted the opposite.

He felt suffocated inside the rehabilitation center. Everyone seemed too complacent, afraid and without spark. Karl has grown to dislike the place, often lashing out with pranks and other mishaps. His mind couldn’t fathom why they were so afraid, when every single one of them had the potential to be great. He wanted the grandeur and fame that came from being a hero. Most of all, he wanted them to be seen.

As he devoured every piece of media he could regarding heroism and fantasized about being in the thick of action, his own powers finally manifested. Only when he started his journey into being a hero, did he realize the severity of the anti-mutant sentiment. Media was a powerful tool and Karl started creating content, mostly revolving around providing detailed breakdowns of heroes and their accomplishments. Once he started to gain traction, he then started livestreaming his mock battles before moving on to ‘antagonizing’ lesser-known heroes to fight him just to give them exposure.

When the opportunity to join Team Demise arose, Karl eagerly embraced it. The guild's ambitions aligned perfectly with his own desire for recognition and impact, making it a natural fit for his ultimate goals.

That being said, Selene doesn’t choose to explore anyone’s psyche this deep, especially after a bad incident with one of her sisters.     Seraphina Lorraine Wilder was born on November 29th, 1999 to SOTO agents Adara and Gabriel Wilder. As a young girl, she was raised in Sentinel Proper in one of the nicest houses. Her father worked as a lawyer, and her mother was often on the streets in law enforcement roles. They were both well respected and known in their communities for their dealings with mutants and nonmutants.
    
    They were not particularly warm parents. They believed in absolute obedience, purity, and following the law right to the letter. There was no room for questioning authority or the “way things are”. Things are either right or wrong, and there is no in-between. And those who disobey will meet swift and fierce punishment fitting of the crime they committed. There was no room for mercy or forgiveness. If Seraphina did something “wrong”, she was punished for it.
    
    It was easy enough to scare a little girl into obedience. And soon, Seraphina was a “perfect” child. When she behaved well, her parents were kind enough and liked to brag about her and the amazing things she would do. They nicknamed her “angel”.
    
    Sera’s mutant ability manifested in the form of fire. Pyrokinesis. More beautiful, destructive, and deadly than either her parents’ abilities. They were quite nervous, but they believed it was a gift. One that could be used to further SOTO’s cause. And they raised her with the expectation that she would follow in their footsteps. She could be anything she wanted but within the confines of SOTO. After all, Sentinel City needed more lawful people to keep things in order. And who better than the next generation of the Wilder family?
    
    However, as Sera grew older, she started questioning her parents and their laws. The explanations they gave for why things were right and wrong were never enough. And they didn’t account for all the ways that life was so complicated. She had a front-row seat to much of SOTO’s dealings (all the parts that weren’t confidential), and she saw how the law could be twisted to match people’s feelings. Within the confines of “good” and “evil,” one could find a way to justify many different things.
    
    And Sera wanted to experience the world. She had a gift, a power that could be used and explored. And a whole host of cities and people to encounter. So, she started to push back. Sneak out of her house. Do things that she probably shouldn’t have. She also started her vigilante work. And when her parents got angry, they tightened the reigns, which only proved to push her to further extremes. She did numerous things she is not proud of. The punishment for one of those things was a large and deep cut to her left forearm, which left a scar she’s since covered with a tattoo.
    
    A turning point came when she turned eighteen. She was sick of being controlled and watching an organization have all the say in what was morally right and wrong. And after one of her mutant friends was punished by SOTO for a crime they did strictly because they were desperate and no one was helping, she decided she’d had enough.
    
    She told her parents she would not be joining SOTO, and they were furious. Her father cried, and her mother called her a fallen angel. A term she tossed around every time Sera did something they disagreed with. The whole ordeal was devastating, but she left her home and moved into the South Sentinel, where she’s lived ever since.
    
    She worked a lot of odd jobs and is currently employed as a part-time barista, part-time dog walker, and occasional nightclub singer. She continued being a full-time vigilante, since adopting the alias, Fallen Angel, as a way to reclaim the term her parents used to demonize her. She does what she wants and operates on her own moral code, which she is still fine-tuning. But it’s only a matter of time before she’ll have to make a stand. She can’t hide from her family forever, and she must decide exactly what she believes in and what she’s willing to do before someone forces her into another life she doesn’t want.

    Able to manipulate and summon fire using mind control. It also grants her fire resistance, but not full immunity. She can withstand temperatures most could not, but the longer she has direct contact, the riskier it becomes.
    
    This allows her to activate explosives, and “fly” or be sent upwards from the sheer amount of hot air generated.

    Water - Like any ordinary fire, it can be put out with water. So hydrokinetics and such would be very resistant to her abilities.
    
    Overheating - The more she uses it, the more her core starts to heat up. She's fairly strong, and there are ways to create larger boundaries around this, but there is a point where using such a large amount of power will overheat her. So as much as she hates it, she'll often take ice baths after using her abilities to cool off.

    • The youngest daughter of Santiago Rivera. She was born in South Sentinel in 2001 and received her name from the tree.
    • Being the baby of the family, Juniper managed to skate by some of the expectations of her family. They were still fairly high, but Logan and her other older sibling served as a buffer, allowing her to develop her own sense of self a little bit more.
    • Despite being the youngest, she became the peacemaker. Her psychic abilities allowed her insight into her family’s feelings, and she desired peace and safety so much that she spent most of her waking moments trying to create that sort of environment. Unfortunately, it didn’t always work.
    • She doesn’t remember exactly when her powers manifested since she didn’t notice it until she was around eight or nine years old. She realized the colors surrounding people were linked to their feelings, motivations, alignment, health, etc.
    • She spent most of her adolescence trying to keep the peace and help others. This annoyed her parents to no end since she had no desire to be a hero and instead wanted to benefit others and live a normal(ish) life. She was never really built for Team Majestic.

  Born the youngest to a devout family in Sentinel City, his life took a swift turn when his father, recruited by the Federal Government partnered with SOTO, was sent abroad to manage mutant affairs and bring home trafficked mutants. His childhood, marked by eccentricities, was met with reprimands to “fix” his nature. While his mother tended to the fragile mind of his elder sister, his father was a distant figure, more present in the world of his work than in his own home. Strict and unforgiving when they did return, his parents ruled his social life with an iron fist. Every friend he made required approval, and no contact with boys was ever allowed. In a world of small classrooms and even smaller circles of influence, his social life slipped through the cracks. He lived instead in the pages of books and the flicker of the few TV shows he could sneak, crafting a façade for his friends—telling them of a loving sister when in reality, it was he who bore the burden of his sibling’s care, only to be met with disdain and bruises.
  
  He kept his friends at arm’s length, never letting them visit his crumbling world. Instead, he became skilled at earning the trust of others, finding himself invited to dinner, where a meal awaited him, in contrast to his mother's forgetfulness. But trust did not last forever, and a ticking clock always loomed over each of his friendships, knowing they would inevitably end from such a young age. When his sister attempted to take her own life, his mother took her back to Sentinel City, leaving him alone, forgotten by both parents. Days passed without groceries; his neighbors, seeing his visits as those of a well-fed stray cat stealing snacks, turned him away. His only nourishment came from school lunches, and soon the countdown on all his friendships reached zero.
  
  As summer rolled in, his father’s absence grew, weeks passing without sight or sound of him. His hunger gnawed at him until, with nothing else left, he considered his own flesh easier to stomach than the poisonous creatures that crawled in his home. Infection set in, and he was brought back to Sentinel City to heal. His memories of this time are dim—a blur of bitterness and resentment. He grew wild, unruly, too much for his father to handle, and was cast back to his mother. But his mother had no time for him, consumed by the battle to save his sister, a struggle that demanded his participation as well. A second attempt to which he served as a firsthand witness sent him packing to the only remaining family—a drug-addled grandmother living in the Outskirts. Though his grandmother loved him, she was a slave to her addictions, and he witnessed horrors he could not change, no matter how hard he tried.
  
  Alone, he took charge of his own life, finding a school, refusing to let his circumstances dictate his future. He befriended a boy whose origins were as mysterious as his intentions. The boy trained him in self-defense, served as his tutor, and tended to his grandmother, saying no child should bear such burdens. Two years passed before the boy vanished, leaving him once again in solitude. A year later, his grandmother, three months sober, relapsed. He came home from school and could barely find the strength in his shaking hands to phone someone, anyone, for help. For three days after her death, he reached out to his family, only to receive the address of their new home in Centinel Proper.
  
  Rage burned within him. Injustice coursed through his veins as he stood before his family's opulent new house. In that moment, his power manifested—late, but with a purpose. The Archangel Michael appeared at his side, the scales of judgment in hand. His quiet voice whispered the weight of his father’s sins, finding him guilty. Flames surged as the sword of justice appeared in his grasp, wings sprouting from his back, heavy and foreign. Yet, despite the weight, he struck down his father, fulfilling the decree.
  
  SOTO arrived swiftly, either due to his father’s ties or the proximity to Headquarters. A lengthy legal battle ensued, but ultimately, a contract was formed. SOTO would engage with him a contract, providing education, training, and a home. In return, he would serve them upon reaching adulthood.
  
  With the contract binding his future, Vasariah found some semblance of peace. The burden of others’ care lifted, he poured himself into his studies. His mind, sharp and eager, led him to dual degrees in religion and art, a balance of knowledge to better understand his power and something just for himself.   Blessed by the Archangel Michael, Vasariah's ability is a manifestation of fiery divine justice that channels the power of celestial forces to judge and deliver retribution. When the ability is activated, the Archangel Michael appears as a towering figure behind Vasariah, holding the symbolic Scales of Judgment. These scales weigh the actions, intentions, and morality of the target. However, they are not bound by human concepts of law and morality, but instead operate on a cosmic sense of justice, one whose only mission is the balance of good vs evil.
  
  Should the scales tip against the target, marking them as guilty of their sins or injustice, Vasariah is empowered with Michael’s divine wrath. Blazing wings of golden fire sprout from Vasariah’s back, and the Archangel’s signature flaming sword materializes in his hand. The wings do more than just provide flight—they exude heat and can burn those who come too close. The sword, meanwhile, is a weapon of righteousness that can cut through both flesh and spiritual corruption, delivering final justice to the guilty. The strength Vasariah receives is proportional to the severity of the guilt. If the scales tip only slightly, his power might merely amplify his natural abilities—sharpening his senses, strengthening his physicality, and lending him an aura of intimidation.   Vasariah does not have control over the outcome of the scales. The judgment is entirely in the hands of the Archangel Michael, whose sense of justice is absolute and rooted in divine wisdom. Vasariah may believe a target deserves punishment, but the divine perspective may see nuance or mercy where he does not. Similarly, Vasariah may believe a target deserves mercy, while the Archangel might believe them to be a pest that needs to be rid of. This means that Vasariah's personal vendettas or biases hold no sway over the judgment—he is merely a vessel for Michael’s justice.
  
  If the Scales of Judgment declare the target innocent in the eyes of God, they will remain perfectly balanced. In this case, any attempt by Vasariah to continue pursuing or punishing the individual will be considered an act of corrupted justice.   Within SOTO, he is known as a bloodthirsty hound that is constantly itching to find a way on the field to hunt people down whether that be assisting local law enforcement, federal officers, or being sent after misbehaving mutants. He is well known for having a bad habit of taunting his targets. Sword shrieking as its scraped along the road, humming an eerie lullaby. If he goes silent, your only option is to run because he’s found his way right behind you. He has garnered a small cult following that he finds equal parts annoying and amusing. A mix of devout worshippers that believe his power is a manifestation of the second coming, dedicated fans that border on creepy, and the few normal bunch that are just…normal admirers. His powers, once so familiar, began to feel different, almost foreign. And his mother, once the beacon of heroism, changed as well. The woman who had been a paragon of good turned to villainy, and their relationship fractured beyond repair. Zethi, unable to align himself with her new path, began to distance himself.
  
  
  
  As the years passed, Zethi sought ways to break free from her influence. During this time, he met Vasariah, a boy four years younger, whose fate was tangled in a darkness he had never encountered before. It was one Zethi couldn’t accept. Driven by an intense need to intervene, he began sneaking off to see Vasariah, subtly altering the boy’s destiny. Like pruning a delicate bonsai, he carefully shifted the threads, spending three years dedicated to improving Vasariah’s life, teaching him the tools to navigate the path Zethi had helped shape. It wasn’t all about saving the boy’s life, he had found a close friend in him that he never wanted to let go of.

  Juhee was born in Sentinel City to a pair of excitable and loving parents. The couple who were formerly active members from Team Majestic but now retired, owned a Korean barbecue restaurant and while they were wealthy by any means, they were also not poor. They lived life as a middle class family and all was well especially when the young girl had doting parents who were only all too happy to indulge in the girl’s love for food and eating.
  
  Despite not being able to provide their child with many luxuries that many other children could afford, love and affection was something that young Hyori never lacked, and she never once complained about it. The young lass was happy that her parents loved and doted on her and that was more than enough in her eyes.
  
  As she grew old and big enough, Juhee began helping out her parents in their restaurant after school, serving customers and even in the kitchen sometimes when they were short handed.
  
  Her first encounter with her powers was when she was seven, and she nearly destroyed her family’s apartment in the process as her eyes emitted high intensity energy beams unintentionally damaging most of the interior of her family’s apartment.
  
  As the damage was solely contained in their apartment, the news of it was contained to just within the family. A year later, the incident happened again, this time the optical energy beams were more destructive and it shook the apartment building and damaged not just their own apartment, but the unit next to them as well. Fortunately, no one was injured as there was no one home at the time. The police and fire department was called and arrived to assess the damage and ultimately left after interviewing all the witnesses.
  
  Due to the extent of the damage, her parents felt like it was finally time to talk to her about her powers. They told her about a special place for people with powers like her called The Enrichment Center (TEC), an institution that would help her learn to control and better harness her powers for the greater good of society. However, young Juhee was worried about how destructive her powers were, and that she would only cause destruction with her powers, and felt quite upset about it as the two incidents so far continued to linger in her mind.
  
  With the help of all the staff at TEC, she was taught to control her powers better so that she would not be deterred by the use of her powers for good. As she began to learn more about her powers, she discovered that although her powers had a destructive side to them, there were actually ways to offset and counteract their destructive nature through creative means. Her life changed further when the daily videos she created on a video sharing platform became very popular. She began to delve most of her free time into creating such videos and soon her popularity grew to a highly recognisable amount. Daily Vlogs became a norm once she turned fifteen and her subscribers and followers continued to rise.
  
  Her fame and popularity spiked further when she started livestreaming in addition to making her usual videos. She would utilise her powers in a unique and creative manner to give her viewers panoramic views taken in high altitudes in the sky, setting herself apart from other livestreamers and content creators. As soon as the time was ripe, Juhee decided to leave TEC for Team Majestic's headquarters to follow in her parents' footsteps. Her parents continued to remain highly supportive of her interests and said her farewells to her teachers and friends in The Enrichment Center.

  Lews is the third son and the fifth and youngest child of the patriarch of the prestigious Regnitz clan, Kallen Regnitz, with members sprinkled among the upper crust of high society. If they're a person worth knowing then surely they have some connection to the Regnitz and that isn't a coincidence by any means.
  
  Binding powerful allies to one's self by marriage or favors was how the kings of old consolidated power and Kallen, like his father before him and his father as well believed himself no different than any of those kings. And it didn't hurt that unlike those kings of old his children were extraordinary in every sense of the term. Kallen would accept nothing less.
  
  From when to wake up, to when to eat, to when to sleep, to when to study, to when to train, the routine of the Regnitz children was planned methodically to the letter but as it goes the tighter the leash the further they stray when it snaps. And by the time Lews was 14 the first leash snapped leading to Aria, oldest of the five to escape the gilded cage of Sentinel Proper to the Industrial District of West Sentinel.
  
  Kallen took her departure as well as he could as he cut all ties and encouraged (demanded) his other children to do so as well. Instead of learning from his first mistake and loosening the reins he tied them tighter until the second leash snapped and this time his brother disappeared into The Slums of the outskirts of Sentinel City. Lews still doesn't know what happened to him to this day.
  
  It was at this juncture, either out of fear another child would rebel against him or out of grief for not stopping the first two, Kallen became less overbearing and Lews took to this new found freedom by following in his sister's footsteps and joining up with the ragtags at the first opportunity.
  
  Though his original reasoning behind joining was to simply make up for lost time with his favorite sibling, that reason morphed into a genuine love of helping people who needed it most. Whether it was helping the elderly with their groceries to stopping a random purse snatcher Lews had come to appreciate all the work the RAs did within West Sentinel.
  
  The idea of doing something for the sake of something bigger than one's self was drilled into all the Regnitz children from an early age but for the first time in Lews’ life it wasn't for the sake of someone else's ambitions but for his fellow man. The positive change that it created apparently hasn't gone unnoticed as Lews had recently been promoted to assistant captain of the ragtag association. Though he hides it well under a veneer of humble confidence he wonders if they made the right choice

  the pascal residence was a beaming display of what a true family was suppose to look like— two loving parents, their four children, the family dog and big house. a devoured father who’s job was to protect his children and worship his wife, a mother who loved her children more than her life & catering to her husband and children who respected and loved their parents… who at times would not mind their words but let’s be honest— who’s child didn’t mouth off every once and a while? everyone saw them as the perfect family, a caring and warming group who often had block parties & great big BBQ’s. they sure had the rest of the world fooled, blinding everyone of who they truly were— who would ever believe what monsters they truly were?
  
  a father who beat his family for making his life miserable, leaving boot shaped bruises on their mothers back as she curled into a ball onto the floor. a mother who called her children whores for wearing shorts and the little monsters who glued her to this unforgivable life. florian was the second youngest child within the four that they had, seeking protection from his older brothers when they could hear their parents screaming at each other from across the house. he didn’t understand why they couldn’t be happy, why his parents hated them so much— why couldn’t they be happy and kind when other people were around? wasn’t it exhausting putting up such an act all the time? florian didn’t understand and tried his hardest to stay out of his parents way, which worked for a little while— until his older brothers began to hurt him.
  
  as if florian was fresh meat for his two older brothers, wolves starved in order to tear him apart more savagely. skin and bone, fur mangy as their jaws drooled pools of spit and blood on the floor— for once, they would have something to feed upon, rather than be the ones being picked apart. it didn’t take long for his two brothers to begin tormenting him, hurting him in ways he’s forced himself to block out, unable to live another day with those thoughts in his mind. pairs of teeth gripping into his skin, ripping apart flesh and cloth, blood smeared on pillow cases and closest doors— they wanted a taste of what their father tasted when they hurt them, a cycle of abuse that broke when florian was able to escape from. florian just wanted to have
  
  things began to calm down around the time he got his power, the sickly smell of vanilla and peaches filled every room of their home. as if he could breath within his own home without fear of someone putting their hands on him, his abilities keeping the cracks from forming anymore than they have been.

  Life has never been easy. Jaden wasn't wanted in the world, and it was obvious when he was taken home to an unlovable family. His father Roger Reed couldn't handle keeping a job for more than a few months and his mother already resented her life before Jaden entered her life. By age three, his mother disappeared, his father lost their house, and the only person Jaden had to rely on was his older brother Trevor. The two were always together, the way a little brother always lingered, and soon enough Trevor learned to use his brother as a shield. A younger boy got a slap on the wrist while the older boy caused the havoc.
  
  When Jaden was around sixteen, Trevor got them wrapped up into a bank heist. This was the first time Jaden was pinned as the mastermind and when he realized it was a dog-eat-dog world. He couldn't trust his family so he could never trust anyone else. While in interrogation, Jaden was forced to use his powers to prove his innocence as "just the driver" of the crime. After 48 hours of being jailed, Jaden walked out free with a chip on his shoulder. He didn't care about what happened to his brother, never answering a call from the courts or his brother from jail.   Jaden never trusted authority, and even more so after his imprisonment. Three times more when he started receiving anonymous tips and gifts of how he could live a better life. He was recruited into the Magpies by a sleazy cop who found Jaden's powers as an opportunity. It took a long while for them to gain Jaden's trust but eventually he was a willing participant in espionage and interrogations.
  
  Now at twenty-four, Jaden has a decent living situation while working as the Magpie's top interrogator. His "real job" is a struggling musician down to perform at any bar and venue needed.
  
  

  Powers

  
  Sense manipulation affects all five senses - sight, taste, feel, hearing, and smell. Jaden can control any combination of the senses he desires of someone. There are many restrictions to this power, firstly that he must be in relatively close proximity to the person. Tested at 100ft being the maximum whatever that means, and must have a semi-constant view of said person. Second, Jaden can only manipulate a sense he himself has experienced. Example: If he's never had apple pie, he wouldn't be able to make the target experience eating apple pie.
  
  Sight: Jaden can make the target believe they are blind or see bright lights. Visions of people, animals, vehicles, and objects are easy but specific people of personal connection to target may be inaccurate if Jaden has never encountered or seen video of them.
  Taste: Ability to give someone a decrease and increase of taste. He can also have them taste things he has experienced himself. Hunger would apply to feel.
  Feel: Ability to make someone feel different temperatures or textures. (Example: Being stabbed, cold as ice)
  Hearing: Ability to make someone hear something that isn't there or amplified. This power takes the least energy but is the most fun.
  Smell: Ability to make someone smell something either foul or good. Connected to taste.
  
  Combining sense controls lead to interesting results in targets. Yes, for negative experiences to be implemented to targets, Jaden had to personally endured them himself. Torture is something Jaden has experiences a few times. May be a plot/connection later.
