Other Unpopular Opinions

The 7 remake actually is decent, but I don't like how they changed some major elements of the story.
To be honest? Same.. being able to change Aerith’s and Zack’s destiny ruins the original game’s story line. I thought the point

I thought the point of Zack’s death is Cloud inherits his legacy. Wasn’t Aerith’s sacrifice necessary to save the planet from meteor?

Eldin Ring is pretty mid for me. I can't help but honestly attribute a lot of the hype to it being a fromsoft game, but one that's kind of more accessible to non-souls players.

Pineapple does belong on pizza

Papa John's garlic sauce is inferior to Domino's

Separate the art from the artist is a stupid concept if the artist is still alive to make money off of thier art (ofc it's implied the artist is outrageously problematic).

You don't have to have everything figured out at a certain age. I'm 32 and I'm still figuring my stuff out.

Dr. Pepper is one of the best sodas in the world. Sorry, I don't make the rules.

And that's all I got for now. Natsu out ✌️

i really can't stand seeing certain slurs make a comeback on socmed just because people are reclaiming it. it still harms your community.

I didn't catch that one. Don't plan on it either. The whole thing surrounding those movies made no sense to me.
Mostly a meme about two blockbusters that are literally polar opposites in terms of story and content coming out at the same time.

Amazon's Fallout TV show isn't that great. It made up some interesting stuff, and it did callbacks to some interesting things Bethesda forgot since Fallout 4 dropped. But otherwise, despite the hype, it would not be a show I would go out of my way to watch and I probably wouldn't be as bitter if it were just something on terrestrial TV and not streaming.

I feel this way about Oppenheimer.

I watched it with my parents one day and I was not that excited for it. I was struggling to not look at my phone the entire time to not be a complete ass hole with them and my step-siblings. I'm sure it would have been better in theaters, because the special effects were neat. But it didn't hit as hard as I was made to believe. It's still not the most infuriating movie I've ever seen. It's just perfectly mid.

An unpopular opinion of mine is..

No, the FNAF franchise isn't that great.

i get that one guy had an idea of turning the critiscisms at his advantage, but the stories are rather non-existant, and it's honestly frustrating to me.

Especially in an horror game, as cliché as it is, even Resident Evil tried to put some backstories throught the documents.

It wasn't just you who had to guess and figure what the hell is going on.

I get that RE is a huge franchise, it got mid to bad games, but it tried something new.

The whole "little team" excuse is annoying to me, you know why?

It took only two people to make the entirety of Fran Bow, it's also an indie game and one the few, with Alice Madness Returns, where the gore doesn't bother me, at all.

Fran Bow is a gem, a story of trauma, imaginations and recovery, a whole quest to find the answer of.. Who murdered her parents? And, why?

In comparaison, this is solid, not really mainstream and real build, with some references to Alice in Wonderland.

Ahhh I haven't heard anyone talk about Fran Bow in such a long time! I should go through that again.

Gonna be honest here, and some folks might hate me for this but I genuinely do not care if people use AI images for OCs. Putting aside all the hubbub over AI (yeah, I've heard it all. It's the talk of the town, so to speak) I feel like it's just... Easier to get what you want instead of going on the hunt for an image that doesnt quite fit the mental image you have of the character. Yes, it looks a bit wonky because.. AI, but man... It's just easier. And it's not like you're selling the image, you're just using the image for an oc in a roleplay site so like... who cares?? lol. I hated having to look for face claims back in the day. Especially if it called for realistic fcs. Something about using a real, living breathing person's face for rp just always made me feel uncomfy. And AI kind of takes that away because the person in the image isn't real.

Romance is such a boring genre to me, that genre cannot exist alone without a good plot.

I have never been a fan of that, so i'm tired when other expect me to ship my muse with theirs..

I mainly do those who are confirmed as canon, not those from their headcanons, not even their AUs.

It getting rare to have any RPs where that genre isn't the sole focus.

I'm a sucker for a good romance, especially if it's forbidden romance and/or star-crossed romance, but I don't usually like when it's the sole focus of the story. If characters fall in love, great, but there should ideally be other things going on in the story. Granted, I'm picky about romantic pairings in RP. The chemistry needs to be there, otherwise I grow bored quickly.

I'm really picky about it, and my current muse had two love-interests, not at the same time, of course.

Due to bad experiences, i am mainly focused on canon × canon, with plot and chemistry.

If romance is the only thing a partner want, then, i won't be interested.

Ah, I only write OC's so I'd imagine within canon RP things are much different. I feel like a lot of the time those RP's turn into wish fulfillment of the writer rather quickly.

I mean, if the female writer who used an OC didn't made me really uncomfortable and stalked me, even if i reported her already.

I would be easily open to those.

I don't care romance at all in RP either tbh. If it happens organically between characters during the course of a larger plot, cool, I'll roll with it. But I never seek it, never plan it, never answer an ad that asks for it, and never want it to be the focus. I find it boring and I also find that people tend to want it to overtake everything else, or get really weird about it OOC in various ways.

I am fine with it happening organically too. I'm not knocking anyone, everyone has their own tastes, but I never understood planning for romance. Like how do you even know my character will even be interested in yours enough to fall for them?

Yeah same! I'll be honest, I can't predict my character's emotions, let alone force them. I mean, I can predict them in terms of "here's some things that make him mad, here's what his ideal woman/man is like, he's what he'll react in this way to" but when things actually get going, a lot of other factors come into play and things can go in a totally different direction than ever predicted. I just can't guarantee a romance would happen even if I wanted it to!

Roleplaying being what it is it shouldn't be unexpected that anyone would want to seek out or involve romance in their roleplay. You are literally playing a role and exploring a fantasy not like your own. Or if you're simply doing RP as practice to keep your writing sharp, yea might as well do it if it organically arises. Romantic elements are things that happen in stories.

I relate at everything you said here.

Romance alone cannot work properly, the chemistry must be established throught the plot(s), and reasons as well.

I dealt with the "love at first sight", which is honestly pushed, not that natural to me.

Plus, that kind of love is dangerous in real life.
