Other Unpopular Opinions

Nazis shouldn’t have a say in current day politics. Cishet aces are not LGBT. Gender is a spectrum. Sexuality is a spectrum. Steven Russel is a god among men. Pedophiles should not be sympathized with. Pro-life people pick and choose their ethics. Immigration is essential to a thriving economy. Communism isn’t that bad, you’re just illiterate. I have a lot more but people would hate me.
Everybody has a say because it's their right to have an opinion even though it may be wrong.

I never identified myself based on a genre, pronouns, and never seen the point of it, even when i ran my profile, Tumblr or not, i would just say "human" no more.

this is probably unpopular or not, i don't know.

About number five, is the age of consent not eighteen? Gross. The age of consent everywhere should be eighteen.
I don't know where you're from, but the age of consent is under 18 in many (if not most) US states as well. I know for a fact in my state that it is only 16. There are also many Romeo and Juliet loopholes that allow sexual relationships with children as young as 14, so long as the older party is no more than 3-5 years older, depending on what state you're looking at. In Missouri these types of loopholes would allow someone who is 20 to engage in sexual activity with a child who is only 14.

Apologies in advance if I'm cutting into a bigger discussion or repeating something already said—I haven't gotten the opportunity to read much farther back in the thread!

• Black Panther's a solid movie, but I still think it's massively overrated. I understand and applaud the buzz surrounding its casting and the whole race issue, but that alone doesn't make it exempt from criticism. It's visually stunning and the action sequences were enjoyable enough, but nothing else about the film really resonated with me.

• It's a shame that political discussion and debate needs to be such a taboo/sensitive area nowadays. I suppose the real underlying issue is the threat of it devolving into something more heated or violent, and while that's understandable, it's still a shame regardless. That being said, I think politics makes for some pretty good small talk: what better way is there to get to know someone?

• Go ahead and call me a nerd, but math is up there on my list of favorite subjects. Man oh man is it satisfying to successfully conquer one of those big nasty equations. Maybe I've just had exceptional luck with my teachers and classmates in the past, but I've always had a good time in those classes. Calculus? To die for.

Okay, so I wasn't expecting this RP thread to be so heated when I dropped by (though I probably should have since it is about unpopular opinions). Anyway! I'm sorry in advance if my unpopular opinion/weird food preference is super out of place! But...

Unpopular Opinion: I don't just think pineapple is delicious on pizza but I also think it's amazing in sushi. Let me eat my fruity seaweed roll in peace.

I can think of quite a few ways. Consider the fact that a healthy slice of the planet is relatively apolitical. I suppose one could argue that being apolitical is revealing in and of itself. But imo, it's not very insightful into who a person is.

Besides, a person's stated political positions are all too often inconsistent with their behavior. If you really want to get to know someone, get to know how they behave. What they actually do, and have done. As opposed to what they "believe in."

It's similar to good writing. Show me who you are, don't tell me.

Beyonce's music is okay. It's not the worst ever, but it's also not the best. It's just okay. Her fanbase is awful though.

Well here we go, might as well jump in and hope for the best: I'm not a superhero fan... Marvel/DC etc...I'm pretty meh about it. Don't really see the movies much either. Long story short.. I had a superhero phase in my teens and then it died...and never returned.

Well, i've never seen a superhero movie at all,

I had an hype for mangas and animes when i was younger, now, unless it's Ghibli, it bore me to death.
Fan-service, romance cliché, long-very-long fights.. and really, really too much episodes..

Let the football sink, let's just hope they don't talk about it like the 1998 victory..

Also a thing i hated on most RP communities, the "vote for us" spam, it's sincerely annoying and repetitive, and most of the time, i do the exact opposite, meaning: nothing.
i can't stand spam in general, so that's why.

I don't use my phone at all when I'm operating a car in any capacity. If I need GPS, I'll get it set up before I turn the key, and I'll answer calls and texts once I get to where I'm going.

Your eyes may be "On the road", but your mind is in your phone.

There is no such thing as reverse sexism or reverse racism. It's just sexism and racism.
No, but see, black people can't be racist, because that word only applies to white people hating on black people.

Because that makes sense to some people, I guess XD

Victim complex and oppression complex doesn't excuse a person acts or words at all, when something cross the lines, it's up for the person to deal with the consequences.

it's also pretty much common on Tumblr to use the "i'm minor" excuse, i'm sorry, but even if the person is young, the same applies here.
