Fantasy Unlikely Alliance

Zain groaned as he lamented his damnable curiosity that lead him getting soaked by water and getting shrieked. He heard someone talking and turned his head but couldn't exactly 'see' the person's aura with the watery hair in his face. He wiped the hair from his face and looked at the person that was giggling. Well, it was funny to someone else that this happened to him but to him it was very embarrassing and often times he had to hide himself since many loved to tease him on his curiosity.

"I'm fine. I curse my curiosity for wanting to know what was behind the door but sadly I heard no splashing of water to signal that someone was in there or the scent of oils. I am, by no means, a peeping person that gets their fix for watching women bathe. But will you help me up and help me look for my cane? I some phew lost in my attempt to get away from the angry women."

Zain said as he began to move his hands around before hitting a shard of pottery, twice. He hissed in pain before bringing hands up to his face and groaned. This wasn't such a good idea. He was wet, his hands were bleeding, and he couldn't find his cane with the shards of pottery close to his hands. @DeadlyFluffy

Shiyam just gave a low groan as the shrieks stopped but knowing her twin, his curiosity would get the better of him again and he'll go wondering off to satisfy it. She really needed to keep her brother in sight of her, otherwise, questions will fly about where he is at.

Then it clicked, he was blind. I was wondering why he was reaching for glass... she thought to herself then crouched down and grabbed his cane handing it to him and pulling him to his feet, she was stronger then she looked but it would be nice not to have someone gaping about it for once.

She looked down at the shattered glass and slid it back with her shoe, "Also, I never suggested you were peeping I just asked if you were alright. No need to get all defensive if I haven't insulted you." she said, the smirk practically audible in her voice.

Mae then stopped her laughing, "You could get a guide you know. There's probably someone who wont mind guiding you around, or walking with you so stuff like this doesn't happen." she suggested.

She knew how easily curiosity got the best of people, but opening random doors on a second floor in a castle wasn't exactly the smartest idea.

"Stay here." she said then walked into the bathing chamber, not even caring that the lady was shrieking -she's in a tub you can't see anything anyways- then grabbed a towel.

Esmae walked back out, kicking the door closed behind her then walking back over to the man and holding out the towel, "I'm Esmae by the way but most people just call me Mae and you are...?" she asked.

Marius turned to look at the woman who was now striding up towards him as he made his way into the castle. "What?" He spoke shortly, but not rudely, since he was technically a visiting dignitary or whatever it would be called. He kept walking until he was in the hall and looked around. He noticed a familiar dragon and nodded to her.

@AlannaTrebond @RoyalPhoenix32

Tirrania smile in an amused way and patted Marcus on the shoulder. "IF a fight should happen, I will gladly welcome your aid Centurion. For now, I will go see what all of that shrieking is about and you should go say your greetings to our gracious host." She curtsied to him once again before striding out of the hall and into the labyrinth of halls. She followed the racket to a hall outside a bathing area and a couple of people on the ground in front of the doors. "Oh dear..." She muttered as the slightly scent of blood hit her nose. She was keen to catching even a small scent of it since she worked in the infirmary during her time at the castles. "Do you two need some help? I'm a healer." She spoke softly as she walked closer, looking around the hall and noticing the broken pottery. A servant was just down the hall and she waved them over, asking for it to be cleaned up and some warm salt water with rags. "If not, I'll just leave you with what the servant brings, if that is your wish." her more submissive nature shone through with her last comment, almost tacked on without a thought.

@RoyalPhoenix32 @DeadlyFluffy

Carissa cracked open an eye as Indicus spoke and hummed. She found it odd they could find him too. "I wonder, do they have a tracker on you? Or maybe they scented you.... No, I don't think humans have that good of noses..... Hmmmm... Oh, that is a big building....." She picked her head up quickly when the castle came into view.

@Shadow Dancer

Alessia stopped when she caught up, only to hear the dragon be short with her. "I was going to say thank you for telling that imbecilic father of mine that you hadn't seen me." She told him with a half-hearted shrug. I've had enough of him for two lifetimes. She thought, then returned her attention to the dragon. She didn't need to wallow in her family issues. "Well, he's rude, anyway. I'm almost surprised that you didn't just throw him."

@Jayden Kisubo

Marius looked over at the girl and shrugged. "I almost did, but I was told to play nice. Which means no kill, electrocuting, or otherwise harming or maiming humans. Sadly enough, if I had actually thrown him, he would have been hurt." He kept walking towards the other dragon and had a small smirk on his face at his own words. "Another time, perhaps, I will have the pleasure. I did however only tell him I hadn't seen you due to his apparent inability to realize that dragons are creatures that can think and speak, not just things that look relatively human."

@AlannaTrebond

Electrocute? Is he... Alessia shrugged at his statement. "Well, regardless, you did me a favor, so thanks." He didn't seem to want anything to do with her, and she didn't feel like forcing the issue. Carrying a conversation was a two-person affair, after all. "My name is Alessia, by the way. I'm sure we'll see each other around this place until we all go wherever." She told him, giving a casual goodbye before walking away, towards a man that looked like a soldier and a regal-looking woman. Ah. Right. Solona, the king's sister. She had been away from nobility for so long, she had almost forgotten what she looked like.

Marcus~

Marcus smiled to himself as he watched princess Tirrania take her leave and walk off. She'll understand soon, he thought to himself. He signaled for Halmar to secure the area discreetly and to meet with the captain of the guard, as a precaution. Turning to look out over the gathered crowd, he spotted a strangely familiar woman approaching. He arched an eyebrow, trying to recall why she seemed so familiar.

@AlannaTrebond

"Honestly probably a tracking spell and a sample of hair." Indicus was halfway to the castle when Carissa commented on the Castles size and chuckled, "Yes it is, from the tales told about this castle it took around thirty years of almost constant work to build it."

@Jayden Kisubo

Carissa blinked up at it and tilted her head to the side in confusion. Speaking the first thing that came to mind, she raised up slightly on his shoulder to look up more. "How did they get the stones up there? Did they fly?" She looked at him and them back to the castle towers that she was currently fascinated with.

@Shadow Dancer

"No, if the tales are anything to go by they used enchanted rope and pulley systems to haul the stones up. Don't ask me who invented the device but with improvements to it since then now we are able to build things so taller quicker and safer then before. Although the ability for humans to fly for more then five minutes and higher then a few feet would be an invention that would make it's creator remembered for eternity, we don't have sustained flight yet. Although I bet, some Magitech guilds are probably trying to figure that trick out as we speak. Maybe with this alliance and the cooperation of Humans and Dragons, both races could create technologies that would otherwise be thought impossible today."

Indicus wore a smile and had a wandering and distant glint in his eye imagining the possibility of the two races working together and what good could come from it. He then snapped out of his trance and realized he was rambling. "Oh sorry about that, sometimes I get overly excited when I think about the possibilities and good that could come of this treaty. It's actually one of the reasons that I am so willing to go through with this."

They were now at the castle gates and a guard approached them. "State your business here traveler." Indicus smiled as he gave the guard the letter that brought him here and said "We're here because of the terms of the treaty." The guard seemed confused when Indicus said 'we're' but upon a second glance noticed Carissa. For a moment the orderly guard seemed to have a angry fire in his eye but then it passed. "You and your companion may go through." the guard said companion with venom in his voice. Indicus proceeded not wanting trouble.

Carissa trilled again in amusement when Indicus began to ramble. "Hmmm.... They should have just asked dragons, or was this built during the war?..... Hmmmm..." She pressed against his neck as they got to the guard, feeling like it would be a bad thing to be noticed. Her theory was proven correct when the guard immediately changed his attitude upon gaining sight of her. She sighed and almost hid in her traveling partner's hair to get away from the angry stares. A shiver went through her from snout to tail as they moved past the guard and she jumped off of Indicus once they were out of sight. She shifted back to her half human/half dragon form and looked up at him with a small, sad smile. "Thank you for bringing me here. I don't think I would have made it otherwise. Sorry if I caused any trouble....." She was still thinking of that guard and hoped nothing bad happened because of her.

@Shadow Dancer

Indicus crouched down and looked at Carissa in the eyes "You don't need to be sorry for anything, if anything I want to thank you for the company. As a traveler I meet the occasional person on the road and when they don't try to rob me usually they just pass by without a word so even with what I learn I don't get much interaction with others so when I do have somebody to travel with I enjoy every moment of it."

Zain grabbed his cane but hissed when the object touched his bleeding right hand. He heard the woman talk and signed he knew that he wasn't insulted by her. Just explaining and complaining about his curiosity.

"I'm Zain Agathangelos. But I would agree... Oh hello. Um yes I would need a healer. I cut my hands on the shards down there and seeing I was looking for my cane when miss Esmae came along and helped me up."

Zain said to Esmae before turning his attention to the unknown person's aura that just appeared close to the corner of his left eye. @Jayden Kisubo @DeadlyFluffy

Shiyam saw the elder dragon of storms and curtsied to him as he nodded in her direction. He went off to talk to one of the humans and sighed. She really wished her brother was here.

"I hope Zain gets down here soon..."

She muttered while her semi-permanent passive look on her face warranted people not approaching her.

Tirrania thanked the servant for the items she requested and walked over to the man. "Okay, I'll just need to grab your hands real quick." She spoke softly and gently took his hands, turning them over to survey the damage. "Hmmmm... You did quite the number on them, but I can at least help the healing process. I'm going to clean the wounds first, it'll sting since its salt water." She took a rag out of the warm water and began to wipe the cuts off. She finished and set the bloody rags and water aside before taking his left hand into both of hers. "Okay, now I'm going to close the wounds." She focused on the wounds beneath her hands and projected her magic there. It took her almost twice as long as normal to finish the hand but she just shook it off and began to work on the other one, feeling slightly faint by the time she was done. "There, they may be sore due to the scar tissue underneath the skin, but it shouldn't bother you too much." She smiled wearily, healing dragons must be harder than humans.

Marius looked around for a few minutes and then walked back over to Shiyam. "If you keep looking like that, one might think you don't want to be here." He looked at her with one eyebrow raised.

@RoyalPhoenix32

Carissa simply beamed at Indicus's words as she kept her red eyes on him. "Okay!" She jumped around before grabbing his arm and pulling him towards the castle. "Come on!!!! They're probably waiting for us!!!"

@Shadow Dancer

Mae quirked an eyebrow at the name, there was no way she would repeat that last part. She acknowledged the person who came over, tilting her head slightly, "Hello." she greeted, "I'll be off now, I have something I have to do, Bye Zain... Agethanes..?and other person..." she said, then turned on her heel and walked away. Her plans were actually just to grab a bow and go hunting but since she was a lady she wasn't supposed to do that at all but she also wasn't supposed to be wearing pants so whoopty doo.

The blonde made her way down to the armory. Grabbing a bow and a set of arrows, slinging them both on her back.

This was her idea of fun so she walked up the set of stairs that led to the roof, ignoring the people then jumping on the ledge and looking down.

There was a large window under her so half of the castle's occupants would probably see her craziness but she had no particular care for what they thought of her.

Mae leaned forward and let herself drop from the roof, she let herself drop for a few seconds then blasted herself forward with her wind magic, "Wooh!!!" she screamed shooting forward as if she were flying.

After she started loosing her speed and going down she shot herself forward until she saw a small lake then stopped her magic, dropping over the lake and landing with a splash.

Indicus shook his head and smiled, following Carissa to the main hall, where they would meet and get to know their lifelong partner. He just hoped that he could still at least do some traveling when he was finally married to the dragon he was matched with.

Shiyam looked at the elder with a sigh.

"I understand but I'm glad you didn't see my twin. He seems to ha e gotten himself into trouble but from the quiet now, it seems he is out of it."

She said while turning her head away to look for her betrothed.

@Jayden Kisubo

Zain winced lightly from salt water but felt the healing magic of the woman. His dragon had its interest peaked but not enough to want to know her further at the moment.

"I thank you for the healing but would you lead me to the greeting hall? I fear I'm overdue for something."

'And never hear the end of it from Shiyam and Marius.'

He said and thought.

Mae swam up to the surface with a laugh, she loved doing that. Without a second thought she grabbed her bow and and arrow then pointed down, castles like serving fish. I like hunting. Wooh! she thought then pointed the bow downward in the water. waiting for a fish to go close enough to her so that she'd be able to grab it. Then she saw one and aimed, Just a bit closer, she thought aiming at the eye. then she let the arrow fly hitting the fish in seconds.

She took a deep breath then dived down grabbing the fish and swimming back up.

It was fair sized and looked tasty, that'll do, she thought then swam over to the shore Running back to the castle.

Esmae walked inside, dropping the fish off in the kitchens then walking upstairs, past Zain and the healer and into a bathing room, grabbing a towel then walking back to the main hall. Where a maid saw her... "Oh no..." she thought then turned to walk away, but then was grabbed by to maids and dragged away to change.

"I don't want to wear a dress!" she whined as they tied one onto her against her will. She glared down at the puddle of skirts everyone else wore. it was bright red and had lace sleeves and she hated it. And when they took of her flats and put on heels she was almost ready to kill someone.

Esmae was practically dragged down the hallway by the maids and as dropped off in a room to find her betrothed, "Do I have to?" she asked desperately as they closed the door behind her.

With an annoyed sigh she turned forward and looked around not bothering to move away from the door.

Carissa let go of him she Indicus began to follow and almost skipped into the great hall. She glanced around and noticed many people in there. "Oh, I didn't know there would be this many, look at all the people, Indicus!"

@Shadow Dancer

Marius sighed at the female dragons words and shook his head. "he better not make this more annoying than it has to be..." He pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. "how was your journey here?" He spoke stiltedly, trying to make pleasantries and unused to it.

Tirrania lifted her hands away from his and sighed, wearing a small smile. "Yes, sir. I can help you, I'm going that way myself." She wrapped an arm around his, in a hold she used she helping others alot. "May I ask, are you here for the marriage talks?" @RoyalPhoenix32

@Jayden Kisubo

Indicus looked around and saw that the room was indeed full of people and dragons alike although most of the humans looked like they were part of a Noble family minor or otherwise, with a few 'commoners' sprinkled in. "Yea there are a lot of people here aren't there." Indicus replied getting the feeling that he was out of his element.

Solona looked over at a brunette woman approaching. She frowned slightly before remembering who she was. "Alessia, right? It's been a while."

Alessia shrugged. "I got dragged back from... what was it, vacation?" She stressed the word. That was her father's official story as to where she had been since she was disowned by her father... until the king wanted her to marry a dragon, anyway. "So, are we just waiting for something, or what?"

Solona shook her head. "As sweet as ever, I see." She looked around, counting the amount of people. "We're short a few.... probably delayed on the road. Or lost." She muttered. She gestured for a maid and told her to start looking for any dragons or any human that was to be married. She hurried off, gathering some other servants to help. "Okay, everyone." Solona said, raising her voice for everyone to hear. "We're crowding up this room. Let's move into the dining hall, shall we? I'm sure all of you would like a meal after traveling."

Shiyam blinked in confusion.

"He won't unless you annoy him with the various incidents that got himself into, than he would be under my watch and I plan on keeping him close till the woman he is betrothed to comes to take him. I traveled like my brother did but through a tree. We both arrived here a minute after the other but I couldn't even catch my brother from giving into his curiosity."

She said while running a hand through her hair before hearing the hostess say something about a meal.

"Well. It seems that the hostess calls all for food."

Zain nodded.

"Thank you and yes I'm here for the marriage talks. My twin is as well and I do hope the man she is betrothed to doesn't harm a hair on her..."

Zain said before realizing that he was rambling.

@Jayden Kisubo

Marius scoffed at the woman's words. "Yes, well, I just hope he doesn't let his curiosity cause any misunderstandings with the humans...." He muttered and looked over at the woman that apparently owned this castle. He began to walk towards the indicated door. "Yes. Getting the dinner over with means we can rest...." He walked in and looked around the tables before realizing there were cards with their names on them. He found his and sat down.

Carissa almost bounced up and down as she looked around. She hates someone talking and flapped her wings to get a better view. "Looks like they're want us to go into that room."

Tirrania chuckled as she listened to the dragon. "Ah yes, I believe my brother and sister are thinking the same thing right about now." She paused as they made it to the great all. "it seems they're moving into the dining hall now."

@Jayden Kisubo

"Well Carissa, get on my shoulder and we can both go in together." Indicus suggested hoping she would accept seeing as she was literally the only one in the castle that he knew.

Zain nodded before going towards the dining hall but stopped when he saw his twin's aura.

"Shiyam?"

Shiyam heard her twin and walked over to him before seeing he was escorted by a woman.

"I thank you for escorting my twin and helping him when his curiosity got the better of him."

Zain groaned.

"Shiyam, do you really have to mention my insatiable curiosity about things?"

Zain said before Shiyam just him up with a well placed jab to his mid section.
