Union of the Six

The Cursed Prince

'How long has it been...'

The seemingly innocent question ran through Ryusuuji's mind as he watched his father stress on the war table. The ninja was young at the time, but he remembered very well how his father looked as he made battle plans in thr last stages of the war. It had been on of the cursed prince's hardest images to swallow. Seeing his stoic father under such strife....and being completely useless to him. That feeling still haunts him to this day sometimes. He feels as if he isn't the son his parents wanted... or needed him to be.

The question echoed once more with its second meaning. How long had it beem since he had seen his family. It felt like ages but it had been a little over a year. Raiden knew his role as the immortal blade of the emperor but that did not mean he didn't wish to see them from time to time. Hell, it came to the point that he even wanted to see his insufferable elder brother. His sisters, especially Ayaka... poor Ayaka. He had heard about how heart broken she was... apparently she still cried sometimes during the night. His mother was probably still asleep but he would pay them both a visit.

The ninja internally sighed before stepping out the shadows with completely mute footfalls. Wordlessly, he circled around to the opposite side of the table and gave a deep bow to the Emperor of the land. If his father summoned him here, it meant things were dire. Especially with a storm coming.

The king of the dark watched silently as the rebels were dispatched. Ashanti seemed to enjoy the practice but she was suprisingly injured in the skirmish. It was nothing serious but it was definitely a sign that she was getting rusty. Deshwitat made a mental note to give her some one on one training to sharpen her skills once more.

Only handful remained, less than 10 and that included the leader of the small rebellion. He had fought surprisingly well and would have taken quite a few lives if Desh had not been protecting his loyal subjects. The archdemon shouted for the fighting to stop and so it did. The rebellion had been quelled and the survivors had clearly proven to be the best of the bunch. Which meant.....

"Well done Master Ork. Now from what I understand of your culture these grots of yours are uninitiated. Then as a show of a good faith to our new partnership, you may take these rebels as live training dummies for your boyz. Clearly, they were the best of the group so it will be good for them to train against... somewhat skilled fighters.

And as for you...."

Desh walked slowly up to the ringleader of this group with one arm extended towards him. The shadows beneath his body shot up and ensnared him like a shadowy vice. It was then that the true depth of the king's anger began to leak through the cracks, "Now, I want you to answer two questions child. If your little uprising was successful exactly what did you plan to do to my 'chambermaid' as you so eloquently put it." The young demon dare not speak out but Desh wasn't giving him an option. No magic was in his words but the very air vibrated with the demon king's contained fury. "Answer me."

"We planned to... we... she was...."

"At a loss for words? Let me help. You planned to break her. Have everyone have their way with her till she submitted to you. Am I warm?"

He was met with silence. That was answer enough.

"How about my child? After you took the head of her beloved father, then what? You planned to kill an innocent child as well?"

"If she was a problem.... but the other men wanted to make her a sl-"

"Slave." The king finished for him. "Not only as a trophy of your victory but as a sign to others of what should happen should they cross. Possibly use her for her body too after she got older."

"THAT WAS THEM! NOT ME! I SWE-" The demon was quickly silenced by a dark tendril constricting his throat. Desh knew that his daughter wasn't happy with the situation. She possibly even completely disagreed judging by how submissive she was about it. That was never her style even as an infant. Desh already had a good idea of what these bastards intended to do to his loved ones. He was sure Sophia had a clue as well but the reason he made this man confess was so the princess could hear it. Normally, Desh would have forced him to speak using his power but he purposely refrained from doing so to prove it to Noblesse.

The world they lived was as harsh and cruel as it was kind and beautiful. Women in positions of authority or power were rarely ever killed on the spot. They were almost always humiliated and violated in the most disgusting ways. Noblesse was a little girl now but she would one day be a grown woman. There were many good men out there and just as many vile ones. If Desh didn't live long enough to see his daughter grow and mature, he needed to know she could be wise where her power failed...

Though the king doubted he needed to worry about that considering that she was leagues more powerful than he was at her age. She could very well match and even surpass her old man before she was even a century old. That thought not only calmed the protective father but it also warmed his heart to some degree. He was already incredibly proud of her. He could only imagine how proud he would be when she took the throne from him one day.

But enough of that... the king had been lost in thought for some time before he came back to the present. Desh pulled the rebel leader to his feet, still bound by shadows and tossed him several feet so he landed in front Sophia's feet. With a flick of his wrist, he forced the young demon to his knees and to look up at the woman he planned to violate.

Desh strode past the bound and choking man and openly wrapped his arm Sophia's waist pulling her close and getting a bit of payback,
"All yours gorgeous. Make him pay for thinking he could even lay a finger on a woman like you without getting burned." Desh whispered into her ear before giving her a small bite and making sure that only the rebel leader saw what happened during the whispering.

He let go of his attendant before turning to address his group, (meaning Sophia, Ashanti, Noblesse)
"Let us return to the castle for Prince Hamilton's arrival. Sophia, after you're done, please have someone clean up this mess. Get someone with blood magic if possible. It will make the process much faster."

"Noblesse.... you did very well to watch all that. I just want you to know that as much as you dislike watching it.... I dislike doing it. We will speak about it in private later when we take our little walk. But for now, help me make a decent welcome for the Water prince?"
He knew she loved to help her father wherever she could and Desh hoped that he could brighten her mood a bit with a rather important task.

Sophia De'Lexington
Dark Kingdom
b0012149_514d508e442f3.png

As the fight went on before the group (Desh, Noblesse, Sophia), Sophia couldnt help but feel a sense of excitement that was ready to go out and make itself known. But she had enough control to follow her King's orders and continued to stand there, still on guard for anyone who drew near. Luckily, none had and Sophia glanced back towards Noblesse who seemed to have something troubling her. Being one of the women who helped raise the demon child, the Demoness can tell whenever she was upset in any way, shape, or form. Her attention returned to the fight, however, watching blood go flying, fists go as well, people falling to the ground. Ha, what a sight indeed. I could have played with my food if I was allowed to attack those rebellious fools. Make them bow down before me if anything. Make them beg for mercy... she would have paid to see something like that happen. Have those assholes kissing her feet while begging for mercy and forgiveness. A grin slowly began to form on her lips just at the thought.

The Orks did a good job, considering they were only here for a short time. Ashanti did just as well as she always did but managed to catch a wound in the process, she definitely needed more training to be almost flawless. Sophia still found it funny how a Light Elf such as herself would come all the way to the dark kingdom and serve as the King's personal guard. Ironic really, sad for the elf, Sophia didnt like her very much, just something about her always through the Demoness into a state of annoyance or irritation while around her. I'm sure she'll be training with the Orks once we bring them in to the training grou- Suddenly her thoughts were cut off by the shouting coming from Desh himself, haulting the skirmish that was going on. As following citizens backed off, they revealed that less than 10 from the rebellion had survived, including that whimpy Ringleader. She had to admit, he had some balls to start this and he proved himself worthy...To become a training dummy just as the rest. Her crimson eyes glanced down at the knocken down bodies, bloodied, wounded, even dead.

Her attention turned to Desh as he strolled towards the Ringleader, his arm stretching out while his power flared up. Causing Sophia to have that grin planted greatly on her lips This guy is demon food now. Listening to the words that Desh said to the man made her tilt her head slightly, "Now, I want you to answer two questions child. If your little uprising was successful exactly what did you plan to do to my 'chambermaid' as you so eloquently put it." said Desh "Answer me." he said afterwards, anger more in his voice as chills ran up her spine in arousal, loving how angry he sounded. Mmm...That anger of yours, Desh... the pesky demon began to speak but Desh had cut him off, stating exactly what the Ringleader planned to do to her and with her. "Oh really now?" said Sophia, placing her hands on her hips while Desh continued on. The panic that escaped the Young Demon's mouth made Sophia's inner evil show as she smirked, loving the panic coming from this man's mouth. His words were cut off by Desh who constricted his throat with a dark tendril.

The man was thrown right towards her, stumbling before he was forced to his knees in front of her. Crimson eyes glaring down at him with the same smirk upon her face, it was clear she was going to have fun with this one. Her King approached her before wrapping his arm openly around her waist, her hand instinctively resting upon his chest as she listened to his words brush her ear before giving her a bite on her ear which seemed to Excite her more. Sophia bit her lip softly as she looked up to Desh "With pleasure, My King." once she was released, she turned fully towards the male in front of her, "Flame Whip." she spoke in a hushed tone as a whip of flame materalized within her hand "Burning Claw." she said in another hushed tone, her opposite hand growing her claws while flames licked off hand. Before Beginning her fun with the toy she just recieved, she nodded to Desh's words toward her "Of course. It wont be long, your Highness." she held a claw out to the young demon's chin, doing her best to not scratch him yet "Now what did our King say? That you planned to break me? Have your way with me till I finally submitted like a bitch?" she asked, tilting her head to the side, seeing the panic and the fear in the demon's eyes "It would take a lot to break me, little demon. You think you and your group would have stood a chance against me? Not a chance. But I really want to know though...what did you plan on doing to me, hm?" the demon didnt answer, but the fear still remained, his body starting to tremble "Aww, you're afraid? I thought you were braver than this! You called me a Big Tittied Chambermaid, you know. And that's not very nice to say to a woman."

She may have given him a full view of her rack but that's exactly what she used to her advantage "Just know this Big Tittied Chambermaid will be the last thing you'll see." pulling her hand up into the air, she whipped it down, scratching the demon's face with those flaming claws which followed with a bloodcurling scream from the male "Oh? What's that? You want more? I mean, if you say so~" she said in a sing song voice, stepping back from him and throwing her whip forward, the end of it wrapping around his neck as the flames burned his skin. The demoness walked by him, dragging him by the neck across the ground while he wiggled in the grip, screaming as the burning sensation around his neck wouldnt stop. Once she was in the middle of the downed bodies, she stopped and looked around, "You there." she pointed to a nearby large Minotaur "Come here and hold him for me." the monster walked over with a nod while she pulled her whip from the male's neck, revealing a burned ring around the flesh. Sophia began to pace, turning her back to the pair "Now," she continued as the Minotaur held him up "What was it that you wanted to do to our precious Princess again?" she hummed in thought before turning and pointing to the man "Ah! That's right! You wanted to make her into a slave! What kind of man are you? To take an innocent child and turn her into a slave. How pathetic!"

She whipped him right at his feet where the end wrapped around his ankles and began to burn the flesh. Sophia moved towards him, pressing her claw to his chest and slowly dragging it down, ripping the cloth underneath her nail and then soon cutting into his skin, flames burning the wound as she went, his screams filling the air like music to her ears "This is what happens when you betray our King. He has been nothing but kind to you, keeping you safe, being fair to everyone." she stepped closer to him, her face close to his "And you go on and create a rebellion against him with little strength to fight him yourself. You needed a group to go against him, strength in numbers, right? You thought that was gonna work?" she laughed sarcasticly "Ha! Think again my little bitch." she pulled her hand away. It was amusing to see him out of breath, shaking and afraid. It was almost as if he was begging for mercy. Pursing her lips, she blew some fire out which brushed his face and made him Look away "Do you not like that? Oh I'm sorry..."

Her toy was more than fun to play with, whipping him, cutting him up and making him bleed with his screams. Mercy was no option for this man. He betrayed the King and his people, and so he was paying the price. Once she was done, she thanked the Minotaur for his services and informed him that he woud recieve a payment in a couple of days from the Demoness herself. Sophia's whip disappeared and her claws went back to normal, while the beaten and badly burned body of the young demon laid in the pile of bodies. "Is there anyone out there with blood Magic?" she looked at the crowd "I do require assistance on cleaning up this bloodbath." reaching into the front of her dress, she pulled out a hankercheif and whiped the blood off of her hands with it. Someone stepped up and Sophia gave them a soft nod "Thank you." her expression had been relaxed and held no trace of the evil she just possessed for the time being "I will be taking my leave, our King has matters that need to be delt with and taken care of." with that, Sophia walked off back to the castle, content with what she had just done.

Masinori was unaware of the others in the room, but his attention was drawn to his second son when the Denki came into view. He let off a small smile as he returned the small bow. "I did not think you would get here so quickly." He stated. He looked over his shoulder when he heard a small snicker come from another. The smile grew when he noticed Mizaki and Yama, even the small laugh from Mizaki was welcomed with a smile. Yes, they were Ninja's of all Denki but it was clear that they were still living beings. And Mizaki was well known for his free spirited like character.

Masinori looked back to his son, "Even in such dark times I am more then happy to see you, my son." He stated in a calm voice.

Yama rolled his eyes at Mizaki and elbowed him a bit before motioning to the table. Mizaki finished his small laugh as he followed Yama to Ryusuuji. Yama now on Ryusuuji's left and Mizaki to the right. Kneeling down at the table both gave their Emperor a bow. Masinori bowed back before all were done with the usual greetings. Masinori did not want to start off with the reason why he had called them... But it seemed like no other better time. While the kingdom slept with only a few awake Masinori would be able to have the freedom to do so without his advisers all over his reunion with his son. It had been a long time and he was sure that his wife would like to Raiden as well.

"Okami has been speaking to me lately.... Something is coming." He told them in all seriousness.

Yama nodded as he could understand quickly as to what their Leader was talking about. The Kingdoms have been getting closer and closer to war it seemed. And as it stood... Raitoningu was at a lose for allies in the long run. They were on their own while other kingdoms united or separated.

Mizaki held no expression as he listened to the Emperor. He knew how serious this would be just by the way the man looked and the chosen tone of voice. Something was up. and when it involved Okami.... It could either mean good things or horrible things. Mizaki was leaning towards the darker side of things.

Masinori looked to both Yama and Mizaki. "I know I have called all three of you here... But i wish to speak with Ryusuuji alone for a moment." He told them. Yama nodded and bowed before standing up. Mizaki's expression went from nothing to a slightly annoyed look in his eyes. It wasn't that he didn't understand or felt neglected with the topic at hand, it was more so on the lines of... All the food markets were closed and everyone was asleep... So entertaining his mind would be extremely hard.... More so at the fact that he was up and wide awake. But he too bowed to his Emperor before leaving the room with Yama.

Once gone Masinori looked to Ryusuuji.

Gwen keeps her lips sealed shut after the crown princess accepts the apology. In the company of the high nobles you could never be too careful. She wanted to earn respect for herself and prove her loyalty but risking a wrong word wasn't something she dared to do. Especially not after coming out in her night wear.
They begin to exit the building and behind them she followed with her guard close by. She found it easier to relate to the warriors of the group as opposed the nobles. As they walked across the wet earth a chilling breeze struck her upper cheeks through her mouth piece. She raises her hand to correct the positioning of the mask and sighs as she does so. The warm air circles around the mouth piece keeping her cheeks warm. Any warmth was welcome at this point.

The walk is short. They arrive at the rickety pier and Gwen remains a straggler at the back of the group. Her guard wasn't allowed aboard the ship and he knew that walking over. "You'd best return to us, Lady Arwoll."
"Only if I'm lucky."
"A grim nights rest for you, m'lady?" The guard raises an arm to her shoulder. Before it lands she brushes it away and turns to face the large ship that would be their seat for the hunt.
"I dreamt of leviathans. You tell me." She raises a brow looking rather void of expression due to the covering of her lower face. The guard nods and begins to make his way back to the inn. "A leviathan wouldn't take you, my lady. You're much too fierce for such a small meal."

The nobles board the ship and she follows close behind, keeping her eyes down and the hood over her head tight. The jovial mood of the others was infectious but still she had her concerns. This was her second time seeing the kraken hunts and her first time wasn't the most savoury display.
She places her hands on the railings along the edge of the ship and stares out at the waves. They weren't the most comforting thing to look at but what was in the misty hollow. Nothing but wet and grey here. "Alright men, lower sails!" she hears behind her. Were they leaving so soon? She'd just boarded. She looks up at the crew rushing around the deck to set sail from the bay.
She takes a deep breath in through her nose and exhales it out her mouth. She turns around and leans against the railing looking at everyone rushing around the deck. If she was going to make small talk with anyone it'd likely be the treasurer. He was more awkward about being here than she was. She takes a few graceful strides across the swaying deck and places a hand gently on the treasurer's back to gain his attention. "Mr Pendleton?"

"If we were," he pauses to lookout at the gathering groups walking inward, "The speech?"
"Quickly!" The duo run across the bridge to the stair well within a large tree and descend. Step after step they sprint down making sure to get off on the right bridge way. They hold onto their bows and continue to sprint like a pair of madmen to the king's tree house.
As they approached via the lower suspended bridges, they slowed their pace down to a light job and then a stroll. They'd made it without missing any of the speech. Thankfully the other groups were still getting assembled below them to be comfortable and listen at the same time. Heavens forbid they listen in mild discomfort. Grimsby shakes his head side to side and throws himself off the bridge to watch from the outskirts of the masses. Lei does the same a few seconds later.

They lurk on the outside and listen in. He declares something about the light kingdom and a peace treaty which was one thing he could support the king for. More allies meant more defenders of the woods, or at least one less banner to rally against it. However he didn't like the idea of more light kingdom people entering the city as they pleased.
It was hard enough to vet all who came through the city as it was without the added tourism. He groans audibly and as always, Lei takes the noises for words and begins to talk to him about his displeasure with the system. This time he disagreed with the idea of letting more people come in on visits but for the most part agreed with the king's decision.

Lei finishes making a rebuttal argument and Grimsby goes to reply but is stopped by a disgustingly familiar voice. He tilts his head to Lei who makes a short half salute. He turns around and sees the king. His face turns from a bland one of discussion to a twisted frown of annoyance.
"You're the king, surely you have better things to do than insult the men who sacrificed for you." Xerxes begins laughing as his statement's halfway through and this eats at his nerves. Then the king offered a duel for the title of king. Grimsby wasn't amused in the slightest but he wasn't one to be known as a coward either. "I'd take you up on that offer but after I embarrassed you to your courts, I'd have to be king. You know neither of us deserve that title."
He cranes his neck side to side and places a hand on his bow. "The best we can hope for is your next inline to be the king you never were. Someone who picks up all your downfalls."
He turns to walk away and looks over his shoulder. "He'd start by being a competent leader, then he could be a decent tactician and finally be a man. Maybe he could teach you how to be the last one while he was at it. It's clear you won't figure it out without help."

Prince Alba Hamilton Une
Darkness Kingdom Capital, Diplomatic Mission
"Hold... Sounds like a fight up ahead..." Ersha, the sole female Blackscale of the group muttered. Hamilton simply hummed and took a look around. The streets, which were bustling a scant few minutes ago, were now silent and the people seemed to have vanished or were in the midst of hiding. Hamilton glanced at each of his escorts and nodded. Understanding the signal, Anson took the reins of the hippogriffs and kept an eye on them while Ersha and a fellow Blackscale followed Hamilton as he quietly crept along the street. As the sounds of fighting got louder and a corpse came flying through the air like a bloody meteor, Hamilton and his escorts pressed themselves against the nearest wall.

"By Aquarius... The people here are mad...! Now I get why the Crown Princess forbade us from operating here..." The male Blackscale muttered, earning him a nudge and a shushing from Ersha. Hamilton ignored all this and quietly edged towards the corner, his hand on the handle of his rapier should it come to that. Taking a gamble, he peeked around the corner and was met with a glorious sight. A light elf and an ork were cutting a swath through what he guessed were rebels. From the graceful slicing of the elf and the brute force of the ork, they never stood a chance. And Hamilton took in the scene like a dehydrated man at an oasis. The blood, the maiming, the screams... It reminded him of a Blackscale purging operation. Well except that is done quietly. With slit throats, stabbings, poison, and the occasional ice sculpture but the scene before him is a whole other picture.

".... Beautiful... Its all so very beautiful...." Hamilton sighed, leaning back into cover with a dreamy look in his eyes and to the confusion of his men. Quickly shaking the thought out of his head, he signalled his escorts to fall back. They have no need to intervene. After all, they were simply guests and the fight was almost over anyway. Hamilton decided to hang back and listen to who he guessed must be the King deliver judgement. It was the usual stuff. He would make a fine guess as to what the rebels were planning to do with his chambermaid and child. .... Wait... CHILD?!

"What...? He has a child...? Well that's..." Hamilton could only mutter in shock. He figured that he was probably the first outsider to have this information. He began thinking of the possibilities and his features shifted into that of a devious smirk. ".... Very interesting..."

"Captain? Oi, Captain! You had that look in your eyes again..." Anson nudged Hamilton back into reality and held out Galad's reins. He quietly accepted it and took a deep breath.

"Right then... I guess we should keep moving. None of you are afraid of walking on blood? I fear the path ahead is..... slick with it." Hamilton paused as his escorts chuckled at the old joke. It wasn't that funny to be honest but walking on blood is inevitable in some cases. "Not at all, Captain."

"Good. Let us... Continue. We might just catch up with our hosts." Hamilton beckoned as he pulled on Galad's reigns and the group continued on walking. They stopped for a short moment to watch a blood magic user at work before Hamilton decided to make a small ice snowman out of a patch of blood. After amusing himself and couple of demon children with that little bloodfrostman, the group kept on walking. Spotting the demoness from earlier a distance ahead of them.

"Excuse me, Missus! I'd like to ask for some directions if you have the time! A big fan of your work by the way, its really amazing given how they handle rebellions here!" Hamilton shouted to get her attention. Might as well, eh?

Arissa and Felric Camenor
The queen of the light kingdom was quick to find her husband, who stood in their room preparing for the nights events. Slowly and carefully she crept up behind him, just out of view of the mirror before she attacked! Tightly wrapping her arms around his mid section from behind "You'll never guess what happened!" she chimed, grinning broadly. Felric jumped, but quickly let out a small chuckle as he realized who his attacker was, turning to glance down at her "What is it?" he asked, bemused by her sudden excitement. She normally got this way around the holidays, but Felric could tell this was caused by something greater.

"The ruler of the earth kingdom arrived a few hours ago, they want peace with us!" the queen beamed, giving her husband a tight squeeze "I think this world is finally coming together at last, after so many years we're finally speaking of peace... " she sighed

Felric nodded quickly and gave a smile "Aww, he didn't want to see me?" he mused, shrugging his shoulders before turning to face his wife, wrapping his her "That's great news, when do you plan to announce it?" he asked curiously.

"Tomorrow, after the festivities, Ohhh won't the people be so happy to hear this? The stress of war is on so many minds nowadays, this is incredible news!"

The king chuckled "Mmhm, then you'd better hold back on the wine this evening, we don't want a repeat of that one great speech of yours do we?" he teased, causing his wife to turn red with embarrassment.

"That was YEARS ago and you know it!"

Felric let out a deep laugh and reached up to run a hand through Arissa's hair "Come on, I thought it was great!" he pressed further, grinning as he remembered a much younger Arissa, freshly crowned without a clue on how to run a kingdom, just having a little too much to drink during a celebration, deciding that exact moment was the perfect time to give a speech expressing the love for her people. He would never let the queen live that down..

"Uuugh, I'm gonna get you for this! Now come on, I think Sridit and Caralyss are arriving soon, we should go meet with them" Arissa urged, pulling away from the king to let him finish preparing.

"You go, I still need to freshen up, I'll make sure things are going smoothly over here alright?" He offered, Felric was never really one for socialization.

"Alright, fine, We're watching the lights tonight, right?" Arissa asked

"Always" Felric responded, leaning in to press a kiss to his wife's cheek "Now don't keep our friends waiting"

"Right! I'll see you tonight!" she chimed, turning quickly to head out towards the front of the palace with her guard, where she would wait for the arrival of Sridit and Caralyss.

Noblesse Rubdich

Noblesse watched the massacre unfold before her eyes. She managed to remain calm and almost unemotional, but her heart went out to the people. At the very least she was desensatized to blood, it didnt make her flinch or squirm. She was a tough girl, she could with stand it, what mattered was the reason behind it.

"If she was a problem.... but the other men wanted to make her a sl-"

"Slave."

Noblesse's face twisted into a grimace as she took a deep breath when the helpless demon's voice reached her ears. Their intentions with her made her turn a little cold, and suddenly death seemed like a reasonable consequence. Not because it was toward her, but the very fact that he would enslave anyone to prove a point, whether it was her or not. It wasnt right.

"Possibly use her for her body too after she got older."

"THAT WAS THEM! NOT ME! I SWE-"

That had crossed the line. Not only a slave, but a sex slave. Has he done this to woman before? Who knows. Anyone with that mindset was a danger. Noblesse wouldnt allow that to happen to her anyway, she was a little firecracker and would never succumb to the animals men appeared to be. She trusted no man, with one exception obviously, and was not the little delicate flower these rebels thought she was. Even if they attempted to carry out their plans, theyd be dealing with a wee she-devil at that point. They under estimated her father's teachings.

She watched Desh bind the man, looking away for only just a second before tossing him to the wolf that was Sophia. When he came back, he spoke to her, "Noblesse.... you did very well to watch all that. I just want you to know that as much as you dislike watching it.... I dislike doing it. We will speak about it in private later when we take our little walk."

Noblesse looked down at her boots, feeling a little guilty that her father, whom she looked up to so much, noticed her attitude toward his actions. She didnt want him to think she would go against his values or reason for punishment, but she was just a girl, and still too soft to understand what ruling with a firm yet loving fist consists of.

"But for now, help me make a decent welcome for the Water prince?"

She looked back up at him and smiled, grabbing onto her father's arm in excitement, "Water Prince?! You mean a prince is coming here?! Today?!" She looked at the castle some distance away, "Ive never met a foreigner," Noblesse's eyes blinked back to Desh, "This is exciting, isnt it? I have so many questions!" the girl gasped and her face turned serious, "Of course, after you speak with him father, I dont want to speak out of turn. Oh dear, I should change into something more...festive... But...yes! Yes I'll help!" she gave him a curt nod and began to pull him back toward the castle, "What do you want me to do, father? What do we have planned so far?"

Nadian Karim
The Sultana was still brainstorming as she nibbled on the tip of the quill out of habit as she tried scanning her mind for ideas about the poor and them not getting food. She knew there would always be some type of poverty and such in even the wealthiest of kingdoms, but she felt personally responsible and it annoyed her deeply. She had ruled for over 800 years now and had been through all types of problems. Bakells had caught a disease that made them pretty much rabid and started attacking anyone who stepped past the city gates, there was a famine for a period, and of course, the giant war that Nadian lost countless friends and others close to her in certain aspects. It was a bitter memory, but a reminder of the Sultana's own strength.

She snapped herself out of her thoughts and began writing down some ideas. She'd have to have her advisor look it over, but everything looked good so far. She jotted a few more things down before rolling up the parchment and fetching some wax from her desk across the room. She cut a bit off and sat it in the palm of her hand. Her body was already warm enough for the wax to start slowly melting, but she heated the wax more so it became liquid in her hand. She grabbed the scroll and poured the wax on it carefully so it wouldn't drip and got out her seal and stamped the wax. She knew she had to stay in the room since Victor was supposed to meet her, so she gave a shrill whistle and waited a few moments. She was a little surprised when Carron answered her call and came flying through the doorway and landed on her shoulder, curling his tail around her neck when she yelped a bit and leaned from the weight.

"You're not little anymore, you have to stop doing that," Nadian said, her tone annoyed but her smile gave her away. She held the scroll up and Carron snatched it up with his mouth.

"Be careful with it! Take it to Lapis, and don't bug her like last time. Just go to her, give her the scroll, and then do whatever you do during the day." A puff of smoke that wafted from the dragon's nostrils was the only signal he gave to let her he had listened to her, and he took off, his tail smacking her in the process. His attitude was going to get the best of her one of these days.

She noticed movement in the corner of her eyes and had fire in the palms of her hands in an instant. She wasn't in an attacking pose and was literally just standing there casually with the fire flickering in her hands. She'd only had 2 assassination attempts in her lifetime, and she was never the person to react as fast as she should when her own life was threatened. She wasn't exactly wishing for death, but she never truly felt like she was in danger. Not to mention she had a feeling it was Victor, but you never could be certain. Her gaze travelled over the elf and the fire dissipated.

She strode over and read the message. Her eyebrow went up at it and she was about to argue about the lack of payment but decided the elf had already made up his mind.
"As I said earlier, I apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you." She knew the meeting was over and was about to turn but the elf paused and turned back to her. Interesting. He wrote for a few seconds before turning the paper to her. She read it nearly five times before looking up to his face. Was he serious? She had never heard the elf joke, but she had never heard him compliment her. She was approaching this like a silly teenage girl, and she nearly laughed at her own childishness on the subject.

"Well, if we're getting personal, then we should get to know each other better. How about you join me for tonight's celebrations? I'm the host yet still get bored. Plus, it would be a good way to let you see the palace in a more fun way."

The Royal Caravan of Oshus arrived at the gates of the capital city in no time at all, though to the ever impatient Sridit it felt like an eternity. There was a bit of a fuss as they announced who they were to the gates-man. But once he, or perhaps his officer, realized who they were, the gates were quickly opened and they were ushered in.

Then once they made their way through the city towards the castle, the guards not being much help in clearing a path and the oddity of the Hysh attracting more people made it slower, they were let into the castle. Caralyss headed straight for the main doors, not having to climb out of a carriage. Meanwhile Sridit, who had to climb out of a carriage, harumphed, tucked his beard in, and walked as quickly as he could without seeming in a hurry to catch up to the Hysh. If she got to the King and Queen first, then she could start talking to them. And if she started to talk to them, then she could drag out their support for her and therefore the Hysh in Oshus. And he couldn't have any of that, not while he wasn't there anyways.

Solara Vetani

The desert sands were unforgiving today. Whipping around like miniscule shards of glass. And with these winds, its easy to get cuts or 'sand rashes' as Solara calls them. Shes seen a number of rich foreigners travel through The Sands, neither of them ever dressed appropriately, hiding in their cloth tents and carriages while their servants tough out the unforgiving environtment. Solora would scoff, "Idiots," and watch them suffer as they travel in the heat. With in the last week, shes seen quite a few of them traveling toward the great castle city of Igninuim for the festival. Solara had left the outskirts of Hacin a couple days ago to make her way toward the city. She has been traveling through the brutal Sands by herself, along with the horse the master horseman had lended her specifically for the event. He was beautiful, tall, and very muscular, grey and light dappled near his hind quarters, his legs and muzzle smokey with a dark (almost black) grey. He was a hot-blooded horse, which meant he was meant for speed, and endurance, they were also much prettier to look at than the working horses, and one of the most expensive. But thats what the privileged like, expensive toys. People from the Fire Kingdom, respected horses, but foreigners....she worried about them, and feared they did not respect the reputation of these animals, being selectively bred here in Igninuim. Solara took turns, riding the horse, then walking it when she rode for hours, to give him a break. They stopped at the sparce number of oases when ever they came across one. Luckily Solara has traveled through the sands for most of her life, being able to navigate through stars at night, and just having a good sense of direction, you had to be
..when your second job was being a scavenger. The horse had no saddle, saddles were heavy exhausted the horse further, and with traveling these distances, it wouldnt be very efficent to have one so she rode bare back.

After traveling for about a day and a half to two days, Solara finally made it. The castle city was much different that Hacin, more upscale and seemed more heavily populated. Then again, it could just be the amount of people the festival had attracted. Solara approached the gates, throwing her leg over and sliding off the horse. Both legs handed with a thud, a small plume of dirt and sand jumping into the air with the motion. She stood with the reins in one hand, and her staff/spear in the other. Her broad sword glinted in the sun's harsh light as it dangled from her belt. The guards raised their eyebrows and questioned her, "State your business stranger," they demanded, their hands cautiously on the hilts of their swords.

Solara, stabbed her spear into the sand and used the same hand to yank off the hood of her black, dusty, tattered cloak. Her head was wrapped in a scarf to protect herself from the sands, leaving only her green eyes to be shown...somewhat. they were covered with a very thin, slightly transparent veil to keep the sand from getting in her eyes. She shoved the scarf off her head and off her mouth to reveal her face and allow herself to speak and be heard clearly, not muffled behind the fabric, "I am Solara Vetani, and I am here on behalf of Horsemaster Qinn from the outskirts of Hacin. And this here," she looked to the beast that towered over her, patting his neck as dust errupted from his coat, "This is Polaris. Im here to sell horses, even him if I must," she looked back at the guards, squinting an eye with the sun in her face. Polaris rattled air through his nose, his tail swishing from ome side of his body to the other. The guard raised a hand and took a few paces back, sending the signal to open the gates and almost immediately did the large doors begin to creak open the doors parted. Solara lead Polaris past the guards into the open city, his hooves clopping on the solid dirt ground of the city. It was such a relief to walk on a hard floor, instead of that shifty sand in the desert, that was tiring. Some distance away, the desert roamer could see the castle, and the large shadow it casted, "We'll be going all the way over there Polaris, we'll stand in its shade."

-----------------

Shade was hard to come by in the desert, hardly any trees, it was dry and barren, most people spent their time out in the blaring heat, so this was nice. The girl and her horse companion found a spot in the Castle's shade, one or two streets away from its side. There was a post there, where she tied the horse's reins, and leaned her spear/staff on the wall of a temple of sorts. Solara managed to acquire two buckets of clean water from a neighboring stand, where the owner was kind enough to give them said water. Solara set both buckets down on the ground she cupped her hands, using one scoop to wet her face and cool her off, then getting two or three more scoops to rehydrate. The rest of the bucket she picked up and offered to Polaris, who hastily pulled the bucket toward him with his lips and drank until there was only a handful of water, "Drink up big guy," she gently combed the hair on his forehead while he drank. When he lifted his head, some drops fell off his chin and made light tapping noises as it fell back into the bucket. The human girl set the empty bucket down and pulled the full one close to her. She ripped off a portion of the end of her cloak and tossed it into the bucket as a ragged. Solara swished it around, allowing it to absorb the liquid before picking it up again, droplets falling back into the rest of the water, she wrung out excess water and began to wipe down the horse's neck, face, legs, sides and back, repeatedly wringing out the dirty water onto the ground and throwing the cloth back into the clean bucket of water. When she finished his quick bath, Solara picked up the bucket, and starting at his back end, poured the water slowly along his spine to wash off what ever dirt was loosened but didnt quite come out. Polaris' ears perked and lifted his tail, releasing a satisfied nicker and shaking his head. "Nice and cool now. Feel better?"

The festival was large, busy and celebrated by everyone, she often took that time to trade her goods and sell some horses. The foreigners were perfect for sales, everyone around the world knew of the horses in Igninuim, they were the best. They had the strongest, the fastest or a perfect combination of both. There was something special about them that made them stand out against the others around the world. Solara quickly went to business. She talked up the animals, explaining their strength, their beauty. How theyd be perfect for personal use, field work, or as a gift for a loved one, an Igninuim horse was an exotic treasure and a worthy investment.

A few hours of talking and she managed to succeed with five, wealthy customers. They approached her, asking questions and looking at Polaris, an example of the horses she had back with Horsemaster Qinn. Strong, healthy, and happy, thats what made a good horse. One man, clad in jewels and shiny armor put in a request for one horse, that he would pick up before he leaves back to his homeland when the festival was over. Another customer bought two, one for himself and one for his lover. A different customer, an old man of about 65, came inquiring about a working horse to pull his wagon that he uses to transport goods. His recently went lame and had to put it down. Luckily Solara and Qinn had horses that even a poor man could afford. They may not be the prettiest, but Horsemaster Qinn wad a kind man, and made sure to have horses for people from all walks of life. Solara smiled at him and explained that he should come by the ranch to take a look at what they have, to which the man haplily agreed before returning to his stand. It was a successful day.

A quick shadow flew over head. Solara looked up, her hand providing cover for eyes as she spotted the flying creature come from the direction of the castle and flying off. A messanger bird? No. They were smaller than that. And the wings were shaped oddly for any bird. Solara had a strange, unsettling feeling in her chest, like she wanted to follow it. Her heart cried out to go after the mysterious creature but she ignored it. It was the same feeling she had when ever she actually set foot in Hacin, and it grew stronger when she would near the wyvern rookery. However she did not know it was the rookery, that wyverns were deing bred and raised there, shes never seen them. There was once at time, as a child, where she heard a loud and thunderous roar of a noise in the late hours of the night. She dismissed the memory as just being afraid of living in the streets alone as a child, her mind playing tricks. She has seen pictures of dragons and wyverns in old tomes in the libraries (when she sought refuge there) but was never able to read the pages they were on....no one taught her how to read growing up. And being on the streets meant hearing old wives tales, myths, and gossip. Sometimes Wyverns came up in the mouths of common folk, but Solara saw it as just that, gossip and tales.

Blood red eyes slowly followed the pair of ninjas as they slowly walked out of the emperor's personal study/war room. Ryusuuji may have been with this group for a little while now but Silent Blade had barely spoken with them beyond what was necessary. They worked well, were powerful, and kept his identity a secret. The Denki couldn't really ask for more when it came to the ninja pod he had been placed in. The quiet ninja nodded to his party members when the King asked privacy. If his father wanted to talk in private, it meant he had sensitive information he couldn't divulge to the others... or he had something personal to share with his forsaken son.

When the remainder of the pod left the room, Raiden pulled down the shinobi cloth mask and hood off of his head tentatively. He couldn't exactly look his father in the eyes now that they were in a more.... personal enviroment. Ryusuuji still felt, somewhere within, that he had failed his family with his lack of external power and made it ten times worse by becoming afflicted with vampirism. His choice to give it all up was a hail mary attempt to gain some kind of honor for his family. To forego everything his birthright gave him to forever serve his family. Raiden was fully prepared to serve his great great great nephews and nieces and beyond when it came down to it. He was immortal now...

Jace followed her mother down to the captains quarters amongst the noise and bustle of the crew as they prepared to ship off, giving a small smile as she listened to Lady Hydraena's orders. The woman definitely knew how to run a ship, it was admirable. The girl shifted her focus though as they entered the captains quarters, glancing up to her mother with an expression of unease. It was no great secret that Jace detested her mother, though the girl never really acted on it, she simply aimed to steer clear of Patricia, and hoped her mother would do the same. But this question of the princess's seemed to have an immediate effect on Jace. Slowly the girl strode up to take her mothers hand in her own, running a thumb along the back of it as if taking her time to inspect it before pulling away. "It's the hand of a selfish and cold mother, one who would abandon her children in their time of need" she spoke slowly, poison lace deeply into every word, Jace had left alone for a long time on this subject, but if this was the conversation her mother wanted to have, Jace wouldn't hold back.

"You abandoned us for years, all in the name of some petty, fruitless revenge" she spat, leaning up against the wall of the captains quarters, arms crossed as she took a more hostile stance. "And now you dare to ask these kind of questions? Like you don't already know how I feel?" This was a conversation Jace had been planning for years, practiced in the dark, lonely moments of the night when there's nothing to do but delve into the depths of ones own mind.

Masinori knew how awkward this could be for Ryusuuji. It was a bit strange for him as well. For most of the reason was the fact that everyone thought his second son was dead. Besides him and his wife that is.... And his new found pod. Other than that the whole Empire and world thought Raiden was dead. But this matter would soon go beyond that.

He gave a small smile with a light nod. "Yes, everyone is alright." He told him.

Masinori cleared his mind of the question ever so quickly. "I've called you here for a few things... Some of which you might not like....." Masinori started.

Meanwhile......

Once out of the Emperor's study Mizaki looked to Yama, "What shall we do in the mean time?" He asked. Yama rolled his eyes and shrugged, "Not sure about you but I wanted to head over to the Emperor's library for some time." He noticed that this topic did not strike Mizaki's interest at all. In fact this kind of topic would discourage Mizaki into just wandering around for some time. Yama laughed. "I'll catch you in a few hours or so." Yama waved the other off leaving Mizaki to wander the halls.

Emperor's Study...........

Masinori looked to Ryusuuji and locked eyes with the other. "There is a war coming." He started. "This war will be like no other. And for us to survive, I will need you to come back to the empire and take your place and title back as the second prince to this empire." Masinori knew what he was saying and knew what he was doing. He needed Ryusuuji to not hide in the shadows any more if his plans to survive this war.

Masinori looked to the table before him as he thought more about what he would say. "Our greatest enemies are both the Light Kingdom and the Water Kingdom... From what our spies have gathered... They are making alliances with Earth and Fire..." Masinori frowned a bit at this and shook his head. Both their enemies were ahead of the game and they were so focused on keeping away from the other kingdoms and living in peace. Their want for happiness and a peaceful life has placed them at a stand point. They needed to extend their reaches and in hopes find a kingdom that would call them friend.

They hadn't even done any kind of trading with other kingdoms in hopes to show how much they did not want part of this war. But fate had already told him how inevitable this war was.

"I want you and your pod to head to the Dark Kingdom... After we announce your return that is." Masinori looked back to Ryusuuji in hopes to understand how his son would feel abut all of this. "From there you will represent this Empire and reach out to form a truce." Masinori folded his hands together before him on the table. Letting his fingers twist together as he leaned forward a bit. "I know what we had agreed on in the past, but the past must now stay in the past..... Because our future is more important."

Sophia De'Lexington

The demoness continued to wipe of her hands before slowing to a stop as she heard someone calling out to her, both complimenting on her work and wanting some directions. This prompted Sophia to turn and look at the person. He was quite a distance and he had to yell just to get his message clear through the air while gaining her attention in the process. He's the first foreigner to ever really appreciate my work. Now that's an accomplishment. she thought before making her way back towards the man "I find it amusing that you are a fan of my work, for a Foreiner that is." she said aloud, folding up her bloodied Hankerchief "Not many people can handle such a... Gruesome scene such as the one I displayed. Our King prefers to not have traitors among his people." as soon as she was close to the male, she folded her hands behind her back and looked at him "He is fair to his people, and does not tolerate those who try to take advantage of him. Trason is either punishable by death or imprisonment." Getting a good look at the male before her, she narrowed her eyes slightly.

"Are you by any chance Prince Hamilton?" when he nodded, Sophia bowed her head in respect "My apologies for my lack of manners, I'm Sophia De'Lexington, an attendant of the Dark King. I informed him of your arrival today and I assumed that you would have arrived within the hour as you have." she locked her eyes with his own "The King awaits you in the dining hall for breakfast if you're hungry." the Demon turned her back to him "Follow me and I'll gladly assist you to the castle." with that said, she began to walk towards the castle "Any questions you have, feel free to ask and I'll answer them as accurately as I can." Being an Attendant for Desh wasnt a bad job at all, especially since she specialized in it regarding her past experiences. Learning the ins, the outs, as well as learning intel that could be used for the Dark Kingdom's advantage above other kingdoms shall they ever need it. As the pair approached the castle, Sophia would occasionally glance over her shoulder to see if the Prince was still following her, luckily he was.

Atlantia Stinger
Fire Kingdom - A River's Blessing

Buras wasted no time in explaining the rules and because of these rules, Atlantia raised an eyebrow. Any meal that she were to have must have meat, drinking now wasnt a good idea, and eating light meals now was fine for what she could assume was that there would be a huge feast later on. Odd rules but people seemed to follow, Rituals apparently would take place, fights will be made, its even possible to be attacked so she had to be on her guard for sure during this party, rather than relax. Her emerald eyes continued to stay locked on Buras until he began to eat. Which made her blink and look down at the food that had been sitting in front of her for god knows how long. Instead of being confused, she was surprised. Mainly because she knew she didnt order this and surely none of her guards did from the looks on their faces before they began to dig into their meat pies. Atlantia was a little hesitant at first, not that she was picky but she wasnt sure what exactly was in the meat pie other than meat.

There was only one way to find out and that was to cut into the pie itself. Grabbing the fork and knife, she cut into the meat pie, some of its contents coming out and revealing peas, carrots, and of course: Meat. It smelled good and it didnt look too bad either, now that she knew what was inside. "Buras, if you treated us to this meal...I greatly appreciate it. That's very thoughtful." Despite his intimidating appearance, he was a really nice guy. Seeing the good in others was something Atlantia could see, no matter how mean the person, she could still tell that they had some good in them. Digging her fork into a chunk that she cut off with her knife, she brought it to her lips and took a bite, processing the food in her mouth before they widen Woah this... This is really good. Oh I cant wait to brag about this to dad when I get back. it was almost like a party in her mouth, just the taste from it alone made this trip all the more worth it. Swallowing what she had, she glanced at Buras "So, what brought you over to our table if you dont mind me asking? Was there anything you wanted to ask of us, or?"

Noblesse's excitablility brought a warm smile to the demon's pale lips along with a troubling thought. Noblesse was going to be old enough to understand what was going on when this feeble, temporary peace fractures and the war to end it all ensues, his daughter will fully understand what was going on. Desh didn't want this war and he simply wanted to live in peace. There had been no offensives from the Dark kingdom in anyway and they mainly kept to themselves but the King knew better than to hope they would finally just be allowed to live in peace. He didn't let it show on his face but he didn't want his child to become a woman in the fires of war. Was it so much to ask for his little one to just grow up in peace?

Only time would tell...

.........

The Demon King had gotten properly dressed in his formal attire and made sure a fairly luxurious meal was prepared for his guests. Supposedly, the prince had come with a small escort and so, meals had been set for them as well. Desh himself had five meals prepared. It would have been four but he wasn't about to go through with something so important without the presence of one of the most important women in his life. Deshwitat had sent for Cassiopeia and had explained the situation to her. Her opinion, along with the others and his own is what would help him decide what to do through this visit.

"Noblesse, you are free to ask all the questions you want. I'll handle my business with him after. He is the first foreigner you have ever met after all."

The king then pulled his personal guard, Ashanti close and whispered to her, "If they look like they may be plotting something, dont be afraid to call them out on it. Not that you would be normally, but I'm giving you explicit permission."

Ghazzy Crashasmasha
Dark Kingdom, Outer Fringe Forests
It was dark outside. Outside, being the fringes of the Dark Kingdom, of which it was almost always dark in. But the time of day was what passed for as 'night' in the kingdom, and it was incredibly dark, and mostly quiet. In these trying times, it was a blessing to appreciate the silence of the night with the bustle of kingdoms preparing and war brewing silently, yet still on the horizon. The clicks of insects and calls of birds of prey were all the ambience that filled the forest that had surrounded their encampment, the black trees obscuring all that hid behind it, hunter and hunted taking place in the stage of nature's never ending cycle. It was calm in the small group of tents that took hold in the forest's clearing. Chiefly among these were Ghazzy's tent, a mountain among men, and a monster among orks. Surrounding it were a series of other tents, of varying quality and material. The prisoners given to him earlier were all tied to various wooden poles erected just for them. There they hung, beaten and bloodied from their little 'rebellion' earlier, and the night's training that took place shortly afterwards.

Everyone was resting, one of the few times the ork Ghazzy had ever been seen without armor. Even more rare, within his tent, the massive brute had decided that he would have a try again at one of his favorite past times: music. He was sitting on the ground, his legs crossed, with the comparatively small harp resting on his massive lap. The harp was one that he had purchased from the Fire Kingdom, a bazaar salesman had sold it to him for cheap, and had told him it had magical properties. He knew for a fact that was horse radish, but nonetheless it was of decent quality. Gingerly, he plucked each string. Trying to remember a tune he had heard long ago, he strummed each string three times. He heard an odd twang of an off note string, and tightened it back into place. He resettled himself comfortably in place. He then began to strum a little more quickly, a small buildup, a high note, then a little falling action, and then all over again. He began to hum the tune that went with it. He learned the song from a self proclaimed poet, who had sang the words of a song he had written himself, but had long forgotten.

But suddenly, the ambiance stopped. The crickets stopped chirping and the night was completely silent. The sole lamp inside of his tent flickered as a disturbance passed. He stopped his playing, and rapidly glanced around for any shadows or immediate threats. Then, there was the screams. It was of his prisoners held up outside. He cast his harp off and stood up, rushing to arm himself with his trusted axe which had lay next to him.

As he exited the tent, he saw that his prisoners were gone, and so were his grots. All of them, vanished. Not a single trace of the people remained, but their things, ropes, belongings, were strewn about, their tents kicked inwards, and the poles knocked over. He could only guess as to who would kidnap everyone, until there was a blade to his back.

"Awight, letz take eht noice an' easy." A deep voice behind him stated slowly. "Drop yer weapon." Ghazzy complied, the massive axe sounding a large thunk as it dropped to the ground. "Put yer han's up, an' keep 'em dere if ya know wots good fer ya." He grimaced, but did as the (what he assumed) other ork ordered. "Wot do yoo want?" He growled. His captor cackled a little, before clearing his throat. " 'Ahve been sent from ah 'friend' ov moine. Kunsida dis a warnin' to ya new boss." "DIS 'AS NUFFIN TA DO WIF MAH NEW BOSS!" He felt the coldness of a blade pressed against his back. "Choos' ya wor'z wisley Blakk Ork. Dey may be yer las'." His captor chuckled again, before the blade started to penetrate his skin, slowly pushing deeper into the ork's body, green fluids pooling around the wound. "Now, yoo'z gonna come wif me, an' pay fer yer crimes." His hands were no longer in the air, as with a swift bluf of motion, he turned around and slammed the ork to the ground, both of his hands wrapped around his nemesis's neck. The knife was still embedded in his back, but he stopped caring long ago about that.

"Nohw, yoo'z gonna tell me where mah boyz ar', an' maybe ah might naht kill ya roight now." The ork spat. The other ork just began to laugh, laugh in his face through his cowl and his leather body armor. Strange, but it was purple so it made sense. He had never seen a purple ork before, but then again, if you did, the ork was doing it wrong. Having no more time for shenanigans, he yanked the knife from his back, and stabbed the ork in the face. He stabbed the ork again, and again, and again, until the ork was little more than green blood, mangled teeth, and a crater where a face used to be. He got up from the ork, and began to look around the forest for any trace of his men.

And there they were. When he approached the broken heap of mangled bodies, birds had gathered over their remains, which were piled together. They weren't even buried. He barely knew them, but he still felt for the loss of his retinue. He fell to his knees, and pounded his fist to the ground. He was alone out here, and he was hunted. He examined the knife that was used against him. It was small, somewhat elegant, but at the same time purposeful. He would find who did this, and he would end them. Loyalties were shifting, and he needed to get to the bottom of this. He hoped that whomever was targeting him, wouldn't try for the king and his close family. Resolving to try and sleep for the night, he lingered only for a moment before finding his way back to his tent, stepping inside, and sitting back down again, harp in his lap. He plucked the same tune, only slower than before, a more somber and deeper tone than before. The ork didn't hum as he played, but played until he finally fell over, succumbing to slumber.

Lord Walter the Bastard

The Bastard makes a surprise visit.

Today, unthinkable things have happened in the city of Alisette. The Bastard, who was famous for his wicked love of chaos and violence, abruptly called off his participation in the Duel Tournament and departed with mad haste, riding faster than the wind with his companions barely keeping up. Before taking off, he put a young knight by the name of Sir Silvester to fight as his champion. And at that moment, the lad beat his own armored chest with his fist and swore to win every battle to honor his lord's name, for he bore on his shoulders the full glory of Walter's fighting spirit, and to bring defeat on himself was to bring shame on his lord.

When news of this incident reached the ears of the common people they were all filled with wonder, for they all pondered on what was so precious to the Bastard that he would readily give up his favorite pastime, hurting people. Some said that it was a woman, a lady of unmatched grace and beauty that calmed the storm in the Bastard's heart. Others thought that the he had found a more entertaining way to stir up trouble and the temptation was simply too strong to resist. Others still said it was a trap, that the Bastard was about to burn the city to the ground after all and kill every last one of them. Lumin have mercy, the fear of the Bastard going wild and slaughtering hapless peasants left and right was too much for many to bear and so churches in the city were overflooded with commoners seeking comfort and sanctuary from the light.

The Bastard rode from place to place passing through entire neighborhoods and frightening the locals with his brief appearances as if he were some horrible headless ghost. Those who were faint of heart immediately stopped what they were doing to flee from the Bastard's presence, hoping to save their own skin. The panic got so bad that when Walter pulled on the reins of his horse to stop before he could ground a peasant into paste, the poor man dropped to his knees and begged Walter to spare the man's family.

"Arise, you bloody fool," said Walter with a voice filled with sarcasm and authority, "I'm not after you or your family. In fact, I'm going to let all of you live... for now."

"Thank you, my Lord!" The peasant bowed down all the way to his knees once more and cried rivers of tears.

Upon seeing the peasant bow and weep, Walter bade him to rise once more to spare him from further humiliation. This was followed by even more givings of thanks by the peasant who cried even harder this time. It was at this point, Walter saw that this particular peasant would not stop grovelling before him, and so Walter wisely decided to preserve what was left of his patience and ride away at the first opportunity.

Soon enough, a few scared and traumatized peasants later, Walter arrived at the foot of a little chapel...

The Dark Chapel.

Emilia Sven
The knight of the Dragon Guard grinned wide as she made her way through the city streets, ducking and weaving through hordes of inebriated partygoers. Emilia clung tightly to the small piece of glitter bread she had bought from a nearby vendor. A personal favorite of Emilia's, glitter bread was made exclusively for the festival of lights, an incredibly sweet loaf dotted with a special ingredient that caused each slice to shimmer and glow a variety of vibrant colors when exposed to light. The knight made her way down the streets of Alisette with a spring in her step! she wore a rather casual set of clothes, a simple white vest and brown pair of trousers, as well as a deep blue cloak that ran down her back and around her shoulders, held together by a pair of golden buttons that bore the insignia of her division, though probably the most eye drawing thing about the knight was the small chalkboard she carried in her free hand. Emilia's sword never left it's spot at her side, buckled to her hip, always ready in the off chance that she would need it. But tonight, she was wholeheartedly prepared to make full use of the finely balanced steel, for tonight fighters from around the kingdom gathered together to battle it our in the Alisette arena! And Emilia would stop at nothing to join in on the glory and exhilaration of one on one combat!

Arriving at the arena, Emilia joined the rest of the combatants as they signed on to join the fight, she quickly scrawled out her name on the board and took a seat, finishing off her bread as she awaited the call of her name. While the knight waited, she glanced around slowly to meet the eyes of the other combatants, excitement building quickly within her chest as she spotted foreign and exotic weaponry wielded by all walks of life. This tournament was truly no holds barred, the only rule was not to actually kill off your opponent, that aside nearly anything was legal, Emilia herself had broken her arm in the last tournament! An exciting matchup truly, and the knight hoped to come across another fighter of such skill today. This, coupled with the with the incredible amount of gold rewarded to the winner, truly made for a real trial of the best fighters out there.

Even now Emilia could spot the spectators filing in to watch from the grand arena, mostly nobles who took great joy in getting drunk off of the finest spirits and watching the combat. Money changed hands as some nobles inspected the group of fighters and took bets on who would come out versus who, who would come out on top, ect.. The knight could already feel butterflies in her chest, and she reached down to clutch the pommel of her sword, steeling herself for the fight ahead.

Alexandra Mason

Vanic's great wings beat rhythmically as the wyvern soared high across the Igninuian sky, Alex and Vanic just now coming in from a long day of watching the boarders of the kingdom. Finally, their shift was over and they could return home for a while to rest, maybe even to join in on the festivities if they had time, though Alex wasn't really one for that sort of thing. The two of them glided across the sky, swooping right past the palace on their way towards the kingdoms barracks where Vanic began his descent. The barracks of Igninuim was a grand building, made much larger because of the wyvern riders and their special needs for lodging. The red wyvern slowed his descent and swooped right into an opening of the tall building that lead to something resembling a stable, but much, much larger to accommodate it's occupants. Alex let out a loud yawn as Vanic finally stepped into his stall, turning to curl up on the floor, the rider slid off of her wyvern and leaned up against him, stretching out her limbs. "mm, long day huh?" she asked, leaning up against the wall of Vanic's stall, she dropped her things to the side and slid to a seating position as Vanic's head found purchase in her lap.

The wyvern rider gave a small smile and ran a hand along the great beasts scalp "mm, good boy, at least we're getting that flying practice in, gatta stay in tip top shape!" she mused, letting out a small laugh. Many riders took to the habit of talking to their wyvern in their free time, it was just something that felt natural, especially with the strong mystical bond the two shared, and though Vanic himself couldn't speak back, the bond the two of them shared allowed a glimpse at his emotions. Alex's hand stroked over the rough scales of his head as she smiled down at the creature warmly "You should get some rest... I have to go to the market anyways" she said, standing slowly and making her way towards the exit, before she felt something clamp down on the arm of her shirt. The rider turned to see Vanic, mouth around the cloth of her tunic to pull her back in. "I'm coming back! I've just gatta see something, alright?" she asked, hoping to ease the wyverns nerves, which worked to some degree as his mouth eased up, allowing her to slip away. "I'll be right back, promise" Alex said, reaching up to pat the wyverns head once again before making her way down the stairs of the barracks and out to the city.

Finally free of her duties, and with some free time to spare, Alex was quick to head off towards the marketplace to make some preparations for the following night. The rider brushed past groups of people, avoiding them when she could as she scanned the countless stalls for the one she had in mind..

Water Kingdom Nobility (NPCs)
Onboard the Elucidator, Approaching Kraken Bay
"Steady as she goes, Helmsman! I want her going steady before someone messes up the upper decks!" Captain Hydreana ordered, not even trying to hide her grin as she spied Lord Pendleton, the Royal Treasurer, trying not to retch as he leaned against a nearby crate. He wasn't as green as the start of the trip but he still looked a touch pale. Her attention then turned to the last member of their little group, a minor noble from the farmlands attempting to start a conversation with the seasick man. Hydreana did not remember her name but the woman had gained a smidgen of her respect for signing up for this leisure trip. She also felt a little bit sorry for the Noble. Even if she spent most of her time out at sea, most Nobles have heard tales of the poor woman's family. No one deserves to be killed over a silly quarrel over land. No one.

"W-what? O-oh its *urp* you Lady Arwoll... Pardon but I don't seem to be feeling so.... *Retch* Well.... I think I overestimated my own gut on these choppy seas...." Lord Pendleton managed to say before he quickly rushed to the edge of the ship and let loose the remnants of his breakfast. Judging by the barely audible swearing from below deck, some of his vomit had splattered onto the tip of the ballista sticking out of the firing port below. Captain Hydreana simply chuckled at the sight. The poor man is clearly going beyond his comfort zo- Why is her feet feeling cold?

"You feel that, Captain...?" The Helmsman asked as they both looked down, taking a moment before noticing the thin slivers of frost creeping up from below.

"..... Eyes forward, Helmsman. I'll be back."

Crown Princess Alva Patricia Une
Elucidator Captain's Cabin
".... I see... Cold and selfish mother..." Patricia parroted the words that came out of her daughter's mouth as she stared at the hand she offered. Despite the harsh words, she could feel that Jace's hands were warm and pleasant to touch. A part of her was glad to find this, Hamilton's hand was slowly starting to go cold like hers but her daughter had taken after David's path of warmth. Yet, she felt sad, no, anguished at the words and the fleeting warmth she felt. It was true what Jace said. She had abandoned them after David's death. She went of a war path when a true mother would have stayed and comforted her children instead of leaving a frozen trail of death and despair. But soon she felt a third emotion sprung up after Jace mentioned her war effort as being fruitless. Patricia, was feeling rage.

"Fruitless....? You actually think that it was fruitless....?" Patricia silently said as she stood up from her seat, a steadily expanding circle of frost began emerging from where she stood before it slowly reached its icy fingers out towards Jace. For a fleeting moment, Patricia thought about how easily she could have killed her daughter. One icicle to the chest would leave her a frozen statue in an instant. It didn't help that Jace's words were absolutely hitting her in the right places.

"How you feel...? Of course I would know.... I know how you and Hamilton felt when your Father died... I know how you felt when I returned a changed woman... I know how you loath me for seemingly abandoning you and Hamilton to go on this.... 'fruitless' war you spoke of... A mother knows her children, Child." Patricia spoke in a slow and deliberate tone as she slowly walked towards her daughter. Her hand twitched towards the knife she kept sheathed by her hip but it faltered as her icy blue eyes met Jace's grey ones. Patricia stood frozen (heh) as she was shocked to find that it was the same colour as David's eyes. Has she... forgotten about her own children's appearances? She felt the anger evaporate as she suddenly flung herself towards Jace and pulled her into a hug.

"I.... Jacelyn, I..." Patricia found the words stuck in her throat. She wanted from the bottom of her heart to apologize. The reality of her neglect was sudden clear in Jace's words and stance. Did Hamilton feel the same way? Did he loath her too behind that near constant smile of his? Shaking those confusing thoughts from her head, she suddenly pushed Jace towards the door, not daring to show her face to her daughter. "Leave. Now. Before I do something we'll both regret."

Prince Alba Hamilton Une
Darkness Kingdom Capital, Diplomatic Mission
"Ah. It seems the letter did arrive! Spelndid indeed. Yes, I am Prince Alba Hamilton Une, First Heir to the throne and Overseer of the Principality's famed Blackscales. Isn't that right, men?" Hamilton said, with a polite bow that Galad mimicked in hope of receiving an apple but was sadly unnoticed by his rider. Luckily, the Female Blackscale quickly gave it an apple before the hippogriff threw a tantrum. "Indeed, Captain."

"There you have it. A pleasure to meet such a lovely demoness such as yourself Lady De'Lexington. The questions may wait until I meet with his Majesty for I am but a simple guest in this lovely country. But I am dying to ask about the law enforcement here..." Hamilton started asking simple questions as he and his group followed Sophia back to the castle.

..........
"Goodness, such a lovely meal prepared for us! Your hospitality is humbling, Your Grace." Hamilton praised as he bowed. His men were waiting outside the room in a sign of goodwill while the hippogriffs were kept in the stables. Hopefully they had enough apples to satiate them, they can be a touch rowdy. But for now, Hamilton had a simple goal in mind: Win the King over to accepting an Alliance with Oceanius and maybe learn more about the Darkness Kingdom from the source without unknowingly insulting him. He eyed the proud Demon King and the girl that stood next to him, guessing that it must be the child he saw earlier. The Demon King's very own daughter and he was oddly reminded of a younger Jace before... Well, before THAT happened.

"Your Grace if I may, I'd like to give your lovely daughter a gift before we begin." Hamilton humbly requested before approaching Noblesse, stopping a safe distance away before kneeling. He took off his gloves and clasped his hands together as water began to appear before freezing. He worked carefully with deft movement of the fingers as an ice stem is formed before making the petals. As a final touch, he drew a part of his sword and sliced his thumb, drawing blood. Pressing his bloodied thumb to the watery blob at the end of the stem, staining the water red before blowing on it and freezing it. He held it out to offer Noblesse the ice rose he just made.

"Enchanted to never melt if the air isn't too dry. A rose for such a lovely girl such as yourself." Hamilton said with a genuinely warm smile that he has only ever shown his family and close retainers. Once Noblesse accepted his odd gift, he wrapped his thumb with a length of clean cloth. "Now.... Shall we begin, Milord?"

(Gonna be a short one but Im trying to move this scene along.)

The Demon King was never one to let someone of notable power who he did not know approach his daughter. The dark lord almost reacted when he saw Prince Hamilton taking strides towards his daughter but the man was smart enough to pause some respectful distance away. His silvery eyebrow lifted slightly as he saw what the water kingdom prince was doing but even the king was a bit captivated by the show and genuinely surprised when blood was added to the floral mix. With a breath it froze over and Desh found himself smiling at the flower. To those outside the kingdom it was more than likely unknown but Desh truly had a weakness for pure things. He had found himself captivated more often than not by things like will-o-wisps, elementals, and sprites. The king gently nudged his daughter to go accept the gift with a comforting hand and a smile only a parent could give his children. Probably something Hamilton had not seen in years judging by the stories that left the Water Kingdom.

"I believe my daughter had a few questions of her own to ask before we start." He stated matter-of-factly.

Eating his meal in silence, Buras looked over at the merchant girl as she asked him a question. Why had he come over to that table? Swallowing what food was in his mouth, his response is simple. "You are foreigners that have arrived on Sal-Devos. If I left you, you would have celebrated this day improperly, as if you were still in your land. I am making sure that you do not cause trouble, and make a fool of yourself in the process." With that, he went back to eating.

A few bites in, however, he felt like he had to explain further. "I am of the Emir Guard. I have been relieved of my duties for the night. Though it would seem that I can't help but do work. I have been helping the people clean all day from last night's celebration. And now here I am, with you at this table, waiting for the festivities to begin."

"What?"

It was rare that Ryusuuji showed emotions plainly on his face but his father had just dropped a bomb that he was completely and utterly unprepared for. The ninja's eyes had widened considerably, really showing off those bloodshot, cursed red eyes. His lips parted in shock and one could plainly see the elongated canines that hid just inside his mouth. The forgotten prince just shook his head, his raven black hair swaying to and fro with the movement as he did. "F-father, this goes against.... everything. I cannot use my power as you do or like mother or my siblings. I am a cursed being, unfit for the great title of child of the Emperor."

The young vampire was clearly distressed by this news but the remedy quickly surfaced, "What about Ayaka? She is more than capable and has inherited the best parts of you. Unlike myself. She is a much better candidate."

Sophia De'Lexington
Dark Kingdom - Dining Room

All the questions had been answered by the Demoness as she finally brought the Prince to the dining hall where both the King and the Princess were currently waiting. "My King, Prince Hamilton Une has arrived." with that said, she moved over to one of the maids and handed her the Hankerchief "Please have this cleaned for me." the maid nodded and rushed off before she went and stood near Desh, not too close but not too far, her hands folded behind her back as she watched the scene unfold before her eyes. The Prince bowed in respect before moving towards the Princess, which made Sophia watch with suspision before he stopped before her and got down on his knees to create such a masterpiece in his hand. An Ice rose, one of which had a touch of his blood to give the ice some color. That is some talent he has there. His words after handing the rose to Noblesse made a slight smile tug at the corner of her lips before vanishing. Flattery will get you almost-everywhere, Prince. Let's see how Noblesse feels about your actions.

If she were Noblesse, she would gladly flatter the man back. But he'd have to chase her first if he really wanted her... Sophia was definitely a cruel woman. Seeing movement coming from Desh, she couldnt help but glance over and see him nudging his daughter with a smile on his face and proceeded to talk for her which made the Demoness giggle softly It's very nice that Desh is still able to act as the perfect father for his daughter. Especially in a scene like this where she meets a Foreginer for the first time. One of which who knows how to flatter a princess, as well as be a prince. Though I wonder if Desh ever thinks of being overprotective of Noblesse... it was a thought, but she was sure that he would still be protective over her. He was her father after all and most fathers were over-protective. Lifting her hand, she waved at the two butlers within the room, gesturing them to pour some drinks into the glasses "Why dont you all have a seat and we may begin with Princess Noblesse, Prince Hamilton Une." she gave Noblesse a warm smile.

Atlantia Stinger
Fire Kingdom - The River's Blessing

Atlantia blinked as Buras looked at her, feeling a little bad for disturbing him but he answered her anyway. So he wanted to help them because he knew that they were new in the city and didnt want them to look like fools during the celebration for tonight, as well as to make sure they didnt cause trouble "I see... Well, again, thank you for helping us out." she smiled briefly before digging her fork into her meat pie and continuing to eat. This was definitely a meal she'll grab on the way back home. Buras began to talk again, this time telling her that he was part of the guard. That would explain his build and his height because he seemed like the perfect candidate to be a guard for the fire kingdom. "Buras," she said after swallowing her food "How about you hang out with us tonight then? For the festivities of course. I know you're gonna be part of it but I'm sure that it's far more fun with a group, right?" Plus she had guards, he was a guard, hopefully they could all get along? She was a mermaid so she really couldnt connect as easily as her group could.

Even though Atlantia asked to join them, something told her that it was possible he'd be with them anyway. Returning to her meat pie, she managed to finish it off after a bit and lean back in her seat "That was such a great meal, it was a nice suggestion, Buras." she reached for a napkin and gently wiped her lips. Now the Mermaid was stuffed and knew that she had enough to make her run till the middle of the festival, at least. After all, it was a heavy meal Now that food is out of the way, I'll probably go set up my stall for a bit, see if i can sell anything before the festival. it was more than likely that others would want to buy her items such as her jewels and jewelry for this event.

Noblesse Rubdich
552089.png

Noblesse and her father went back to the castle and proceeded to go their separate ways to get ready and prepare for the foreign prince's arrival. She rushed to her room, once again digging through her trunk that contained more special articles of clothing. She had to wear something nice. Shes never met another royal, so this was a momentous occasion. At the bottom of the trunk was something that glinted gold and had, what looked like, scales. She had forgotten about this dress and new immediately that this was appropriate for this small event. The young girl changed and once again looked in the mirror, more content at the look of the dress than herself in it. Noblesse wasnt a girl who fancied frilly dresses and bright colors and flowery patterns. Infact she wasnt a huge dress liker at all. This about the only oned she owned, with the exception of maybe one more. This dress wasnt very girly. It was gold and fashioned to resemble chainmail, giving off an authoritive, regal appeal and reflecting her firey, fighter side of her persona.
20170820_175804.png

She left the room and wandered over to the kitchens, where all sorts of savory smells and aromas wafted out the doors and snuck into the halls. Entering the kitchen, Noblesse was met with all sorts of sounds of clanking pans and glasses and the sight of bustling women crisscrossing paths in a hurry like nervous hens. The women took their turns bowing their heads in respect as they passed by her. She returned the gesture and strode in with head held high, squared shoulders with a puffed chest, and a confident stride, "Good morning princess," they murmured and continued their chopping, stirring and peeling. She couldnt blame them, they were told to put something together pretty last minute, but Noblesse had faith they would do a great job, her father had some pretty good cooks under his roof. She was always satified with the cooking. On a table was a variety of sweets and desserts diplayed out that no one seemed to really pay attention to. Retracting into a shaded pantry quietly, the little archdemoness meshed into the shadows, disappearing with a devious smile. She had, once again, become a moving, independent shadow. She slithered and slinked till she reached the table and rematerialized under it. Concluding that she wasnt noticed, she reached a hand up and grabbed what ever she could, then pulled it back down and stuffed her face quickly. Someone was coming towards her and in a split second she descended back into shadowed figure and bolted out the kitchen. She barreled toward the dining rooom and stopped when she noticed her father. The shadow began to rise and take shape of a girl then completely washed away, leaving Noblesse standing before him, uncovered. She gasped and hid the treats behind her back, "Father!" She exclaimed. Her eyes darted around nervously, "Y-you look very nice~" she was trying to keep him from suspecting her little innocent theft of an early dessert, but she really meant it. She always thought he looked nice, all the time. She smiled up at him, crumbs of evidence at the corners of her lips.

"Noblesse, you are free to ask all the questions you want. I'll handle my business with him after. He is the first foreigner you have ever met after all."

"Thank you father!" she nodded and stood beside him as they waited for the Prince to arrive. Noblesse looked at the corner of her eye as Desh whispered something to Ashanti beside him. She side stepped little by little, quietly trying to go unnoticed, moving behind Desh and around to Ashanti, "Psst..." she called for her attention, and with out waiting stuck the last two pasties into her hands. The little demon knew the elf liked spending her time in the kitchens the way she did, trying to get first pickens of what ever she can. Noblesse giggled and ran back over beside her father, dusting her hands off of any crumbs, then placing them infront of her. Her eyes looked at the large table and its set up, nice crystal glasses, beautiful sets of plates and utensils, and candles lit along the middle of the table, "The table looks lovely~!" she said to herself, not really directed toward anyone.

.........

The Prince had finally arrived, and after formal greetings he spoke out, "Goodness, such a lovely meal prepared for us! Your hospitality is humbling, Your Grace."

He seemed polite enough. Noblesse had reminded herself to be courteous, be respectful, and be professional. Fit the role she was born into. The ideal princess. She was assessing him as she silently stood there, her face cold and stoic, with only her eyes moving up and down to observe him. His clothing was different, it was appearant he was part of a different culture entirely. But it interested her, her eyes traced every detail. Her chest extended as she took in a breath and looked back up at him.

"Your Grace if I may, I'd like to give your lovely daughter a gift before we begin."

Noblesse's emotionless facade tore down with his words. She blinked with wide eyes, and her face softened. Her cheeks tinted pink when he used the word "lovely" on her. Shes never really been called that by anyone else except her father, and it felt strange but nice. The prince approached her and her hands unfolded to move at her sides. He knelt down, taking his gloves off and held out his hand. Out of thin air, a rose of water appeared from skilled magic, the reflection of the liquid twinkled in her eyes, and a smile grew on her face. It slowly began to freeze over the longer he worked with it, and for the finishing touch added his blood to color the petals of the rose. The prince blew a gentle breath onto his creation, and the sculpture creaked as the water turned solid before her eyes.

"Enchanted to never melt if the air isn't too dry. A rose for such a lovely girl such as yourself."

Noblesse's face lit up and she looked up at her father, who gently nudged her to accept the gift. "Thank you my lord," she reached out, her dainty, slender fingers plucked the rose from his hand with care. She adored it with her eyes for a moment then looked at him again, giving a sheepish curtsy, "I'll treasure it always." This was the first gift shes ever recieves from an outsider. Was that customary? To offer gifts when visiting a royal of another kingdom? How interesting.

"Now.... Shall we begin, Milord?"

"I believe my daughter had a few questions of her own to ask before we start."

Noblesse jumped when she was reminded of her questions, "O-oh...yes! Whats it like? Where youre from." She twisted the stem of the rose between her fingers, fidgeting, a sign of nervousness but she masked it with genuine excitement, "I would like to hear all about it. Is the Water Kingdom submerged in water? What sort of creatures live there? Does the sun shien brighter there?" Noblesse batted eager eyes at him, patiently waiting for his information.

"Why dont you all have a seat and we may begin with Princess Noblesse, Prince Hamilton Une."

Sophia was right. They should sit down and talk, surely the Prince had a long path to get here.
