Realistic or Modern Under The Stars (Camping Adventure)

Leo turned to Candace.

"And believe me, they don't taste good either", he said, then laughed cornily as he pretended to dismiss the fish as a joke.

Ben turned away noticing that he was trying to get away with something. He finished putting up his shelter and was becoming tired so he went to sleep.

Leon finished what he had to do... for now. He had to think about getting food.

"I might be able to get some small game," he said to himself quietly. He started to walk off into the woods to find something to tide him over til' his next meal. He walked through the woods in silence, all he could hear were the birds chirping. He saw a bush with some ripe berries.

"Perfect," he said as he started to pick them.

Leo knew the look in someone's eye when his antics didn't quite convince them. Ben was onto him. Hmm. Somebody catching on could screw up the entire idea. He would have to plan accordingly.

Candace smirked and strolled back to her tent and unrolled her sleeping mattress. She glanced down at her wristwatch, the clock read 5:09. It looked like it would get dark soon. Suppose I should have dinner... Candace unpacked a few morsels of food and began to munch.

Leo pulled out his hunting rifle that he had smuggled in. While the others at fish or berries, he would feast like a king! He ventured out into the forest, looking for a meal on legs that he could drag back to camp and cook.

Leon had the ripe blueberries in his hands as he walked slowly and quietly back to camp. Hopefully these berries were healthy and wouldn't make him sick. He needed to stay strong in case there were any threats. As he walked in to camp he went over to his space. He quietly sat down on his sleeping pad and bag and started to put a berry in his mouth one by one.

It wasn't long before Leo saw a rustling in the bushes. Hopefully a nice, tender deer. He waited for a better shot. When the creature reared its head from the bushes, it did turn out to be a buck. A two headed buck, with horns that looked like they could snap his spine like a twig if the deer willed it.

(bah i gotta go to sleep i have to be up tomorrow for band practice with our town band. Night i'll be back into the rp tomorrow)

It was beginning to get a lot quieter out, suspiciously quiet. Candace zipped up her small tent's screen, so she could still see out. She then finished up her low-quality dinner, and flicked on a lantern. Well it's only five o'clock... I shouldn't lock up just yet eh? Candace stepped out of the small plastic tent, and held her lantern. She began to stroll around the campground, taking in the view. It was a beautiful orange sky, almost no clouds. Candace too a deep breath and sat down on a nearby log.

((okay goodnight))

The creature had not yet taken notice of Leo, so he carefully took aim, and fired. The shot splattered one of the heads, but the other roared and began charging directly at him.

"OH ****", screamed Leo. He began to sprint out of there and back to the campground.

Leon finished his berry meal. He thought he'd stock up on anything edible he could find before it got too dark. Leon got up and went to a tree near the entrance to the woods. He walked out of the camp and heard a huge scream. "What the h***was that?" He wondered. He walked a little further out in the woods, cautiously. He heard the noise of an animal. "Huh," Leon said, "what could that be?" He went farther out slowly, still cautious.

Candace heard a gunshot in the distance. What was going on? She stood up from the log, holding the lantern high above her head. Candace then saw Leo sprinting towards the campground. "What the hell was that?" She exclaimed worriedly

The creature kept nearing Leo's heels as he made it past the tree line and into the camp. He burst in front of some random person standing near the forest entrance.

Leo turned around and began running backwards as he fired some potshots at the charging buck. One of them found its mark, and the creature slammed into the dirt with both of its heads blown off. Leo began to breath normally again.

Leon saw a male person dash into the camp, right behind a huge buck deer.

"Holy s***!" He screeched. He pulled out his carving knife in case he needed to do something. He saw the man shoot the buck's head right off. He gasped at the sight of the deer's head and the blood that came out. He started to walk towards the deceased deer and the man.

"What the f*** was that?" He asked him with a firm, loud voice.

"It was you ****ing off. Mind your own d*** business." Snarled Leo as he dragged the buck's carcass to the campfire. He began to roast it over the flame, the smell wavering over the camp.

He glared into the man's eyes. He turned around and stalked to his sheltered space to sit down and confirm what just happened. Was hunting even aloud at this camp? And Leon had never seen a deer so aggressive. Leon was shaken up about what he had just seen, the deer's head blasted off while blood spilled out of the corpse. Leon thought he would stock up on food in the morning.

The deer just finished up cooking. He pulled it away from the flame with a stick quickly, letting the buck land on a tarp that he had laid. He began to carve it up with his hunting knife. Then, he shouted to the entire camp,

"DINNER TIME!", as he chewed a bit of "steak".

"What an ***hole," Leon muttered under his breath. Who was this guy, anyways, bringing a wild, raging buck into camp then blasting it's head off. Whatever, Leon thought. Some people are just like that. Leon was going to go off to find more food for the day in the morning, so with that he curled up in his sleeping bag.

Leo knew he had made an enemy with whomever that was, but he could take care of that easily enough. The only problem was, if anything bad happened to him, there would only be one suspect. He also wondered why nobody came to eat some of the deer; maybe they were vegetarians or something. Hmm. More for him.
