Fantasy Ultra Quest

This seems like an exceptionally poor reaction to a small character quirk. My usage of Stanmer "Hot-Pot" Billets' full name every time he's used doesn't seem like it would impact much of the RP's fun factor. Rather, it looks to me that you're trying to find an excuse to punish me for doing something so minor and ignorable that I can't even describe it as a "pet peeve".

If I may chime in here, it bugged me quite a bit as well. It interrupts the flow of what one is reading, if you have to say the full name every single time.

@SkippyGranola If you want to continue to discuss this, that is fine with me. However, we will discuss it in PM. Respectfully, this is the last time that I will tell you, please message me before continuing to comment here in OOC or in the role play. If you have to wait until you can send a PM, then wait until then. Do not comment here anymore until talking to me in PM

Honestly this just feels like a whole lot of fuss being raised over a completely minor quirk that, tbh, doesn't really do anything. @Tsuna, man, your reaction to this is kind of laughable. It's the character's name, you know it's there and what it is, you can just skim it over while you're reading and it's not even that long, it's 4 words. This is kind of a ridiculous thing to ban someone over.

I once made a fairly similar character whose name was, and I quote, "Fioravante Bloyse Zirnitra Gwydion Megalesius Johanai de Prospero Rasputin von Elsimore, Master of the Arcane". The name was a part of the character, because he was a self-important schizophrenic skeleton sorcerer made up of pieces of mages who couldn't move on to the afterlife after suffering a violent death in the battlefield.

And yes, he'd use his full name often, either spoken or in his thoughts, because it was part of the character. It's like a stuck up physician or lawyer insisting to be referred to as Doctor. IDK, it seems like a massive overreaction and doesn't bode well for the future of the game if something this minor already prompts a ban.

I'm afraid I will not be in this RP any longer. My conversation with Tsuna has brought to light several things I never knew about him, and has convinced me to avoid this RP and any others he makes in the future. I hope you all understand, and can cope with my and Tsuna's actions appropriately. Have a nice RP, y'all--however hard that may be.

I'm sorry to hear your decision to leave.

Once more, if anyone wants to talk about this topic, please do it in PM. Any posts talking about this here in OOC will be deleted, so that we don't crowd the OOC with this.

As usual, everyone's posts have been great!

It seems we only have about half of the people that originally signed up actually participating in the role play. We've lost a lot of momentum, for obvious reasons, so I guess it's up to you guys if we should continue with the story or try again another time.

Kind of a hasty call there, mate. Also not sure what you mean by "obvious reasons" for losing momentum. If you mean a single player dropping over a silly non-issue, well, the people who were posting (Silvey, sableye, vasilias and myself) continue to do so and the people who weren't posting were not doing so before that happened.

Try tagging/messaging the accepted people who aren't posting and see if they're still up to it and if not, maybe try and get new players? Two people posted their CSes after signups were closed, I think, maybe they'd still like to play. You've got a group of 4 people still in it tho, that's already pretty good. People coming in and dropping out is a thing that happens, a lot, gotta learn to roll with it and be flexible, learn how to phase out people who dropped out and bring in and integrate new people. Retaining a handful of core players invested in the game is probably the best you could hope for.

I have had family concerns to handle all weekend. These have now been (mostly) resolved. I will attempt a post today.

I'm just keeping conversation open to make sure people are still interested.

I'll post again soon, probably in a few hours.

Also, everyone take your time replying. Real life is more important.

Well I missed that whole conversation above but I posted today. Hopefully this is still a thing and we are already moving to the same place so we can change groups if needed.

Well, our GM hasn't posted in the IC since Saturday. Usually a week-long halt tends to kill any steam a roleplay might've had and people just move on, so we'd have to see. I'd be up to it if everyone else still is.
