Fantasy Tyranny of King Valerian - A Fantasy GroupRP (Closed and Over)

Ari was out and about. That woman from before intrigued him. Not the snake demon, but The Adventurer.

One of the snakes on his shoulder hissed in his ear. It could understand his thoughts. "She's daft, master. Does she really believe she can take down the king?"

"Women are fascinating creatures. Quite stubborn that one, and ambitious."

"You must be thinking of helping her?"

"Not without reason. Hunting weak outlaws is starting to bore me."

"You're gonna betray the king?"

"I was never aligned with the king."

"I'm picking up her scent."

"Well?"

They followed the scent. There she was, along with 2 other women, talking about killing the king. He stepped in their sight, his snakes on guard on his body. "You're all quite ambitious, and quite feisty. 3 women: 1 strong, 1 an escapee, and the last not understanding the concept of teaming." He addressed the Adventurer, completely ignoring the other 2 women. "Oi, have you ever considered a blade for hire? It's gonna take more than 2 women at odds to beat the king. You need to reconsider your recruitment efforts from mere volunteers."

Karina gave the new man a cold look. "A blade for hire is exactly what i am, snakey. I do not care for any king, i only look up to the sky."

Bailey grated at the strange man, a shadow appered curling around her much like a snake. "Who are you?" She asked, keeping an eye on demon. As the shadow became clearer, it took the form of a dragon.

"Really? A good blade for hire doesn't bitch and moan about the thought of other people joining, especially if the mission is a coup against the king. As it stands, you're essentially going on a suicide run and you complain about increasing your odds of survival. Not very smart by even the dumbest of asses."

"As for you, my name is irrelevant. If I wanted you dead, I'd have poisoned you long before you knew what hit you. Just know that I'm a blade for hire looking for a bit of fun."

She crossed her arms and smirked, "Well if every one is done with there who has the biggest, I think it's time that we decided if everyone is going or not," she stated. The dragon faded, and the dire wolves came back. She pet there heads, and waited.

Karina shrugged. "You know what? hes right. Its a suicide mission. I am out. No money is worth dying for it. Wish you all a good time dying.", she said. She by now had a plan herself. A plan that would make her rich.

"Everyone calm down." Arabelle said cooly. She turned to Bailey. "I welcome you to the group, I trust you." she said.

She turned to Karina. "Snake boy over there is right. Don't bitch about help, we need it. I trust her, and I am the leader of this group. I will pay you the same as I offered before if you join."

"Now, snake boy. I will pay you to join us, though the fact that we are women has nothing to do with this. If you aren't respectful I won't hire you. Understand?"

@Ami the breadling @FireMaiden @Kylesar1

"Thanks. And he's right. We can't attack the king with just us," Bailey said. "He's a master at pyro somthing and a few other things," Bailey said, looking at snake boy. "I'm Bailey by the way,"

"What I said has nothing to do with the fact that you're a woman. We have you, strong, an injured escapee, and someone who wants to overthrow the king solo. Even if you're all men, my statement still stands."

"I'm not obligated to toss respect around. I give what's given. I'm sure you know that the chances of people joining in such a crazy endeavor is low, so the only thing that's gonna talk is money. That goes for pretty much anyone with actual skill willing to get themselves killed."

[QUOTE="Ami the breadling]She shook her head. "Id say sorry but i am not. I am a person who goes alone and this are too many people for me. Nothing you can offer is worth risking my life and going against my beliefs.", she said and turned to leave. She again appeared open to an attack, but of course she wasnt. She never was.

"You must be new to the mercenary business. Money talks. Money is king and money controls beliefs. My only rule is nothing involving kids. Otherwise, I'm down for anything. If your beliefs and your love of your own life prevents you from taking jobs, you won't last long. Almost every job we take is life-risking. We live to die, and that's what fuels our existence."

Ari bowed. "My name is Ari; Snake Master, summoner; Assassin and Spy for hire."

She laughed. "Money is my value. But something that has a 99/1 chance of killing me... It needs to pay off. And with the price i will get it simply doesnt. I have offers for safer jobs that pay off more.", she said while walking.

"If he gets his hands on you, he'll kill you. The same goes for his top soliders , you won't make it beyond the front gates," Bailey said coldly, staring at the demon. "Thats only if you survive long enough to get there."

Arabelle sighed softly and listened to them all bicker. "Look, if you aren't going to join, leave us. We don't need you to hang around and cause trouble. So, stay if you wish. If not, clear out."

Karina was already half gone. "Have fun.", she said and took the most direct way to the castle. That was gonna make her rich. Really rich.

They were less than fives miles away so she tried to contact the king with private telepathy. Um, sire, there's a demon lady heading to the castle. "Guess we aren't seeing her again," Bailey muttered out loud.

(she has nothing to do with any snake. She appears fully human, if not in her demon mode its impossible to tell she is a demon without magic tracking that.)

"I'm okay with that. she said, looking at Bailey. "Now, we need to come up with a plan. I have one horse, but since you're injured you should ride him. Snake boy and I will walk beside you. We need to stay off the main roads to avoid being spotted."

"If you insist, but I can walk just finely." Bailey tried to demonstrate this, but fail and was caught by the larger direwolf who seemed to roll it's eys. "Ok, nevermind," she muttered, her ears going red.

She smiled kindly. "We'd better leave this part of the forest though. Here, lean on me." she said kindly. She was very sweet and wanted to help.

"Apparently she doesn't know how much wealth lies in the Castle. She could retire for several generations."

He watched Bailey try to be stubborn to get on the horse. "Just get on the horse. I know, pride and all that stuff, but you either accept help when you need it or you embarrass yourself trying to go without it."

He looked ahead, towards the exit. "Where exactly do you plan on getting together to discuss this coup?"

"Maybe sometime tomorrow, we're about 32 kilometers from Toron and we have to get there soon before something really awful happens to any more innocent monsters." she said.

Bailey sat on the horse, pouting. "I don't like horses, I move faster by foot," she muttered. Her face felt hot, and her direwolves looked confused. She turned to them "You can go now," she said. The wolves cocked their heads, "Oh fine whatever,"

Arabelle smiled at Bailey. "It's okay, once you heal up you can walk." She patted her horse and walked with him, motioning for Ari. "Come on snake boy. We need to hurry. The sooner we move the faster we can overthrow the king and restore peace."

Bailey looked around taking in the new sights. She hasnot left the castle for a while and was excited to see what's changed, she didn't show it though.
