Hayden was holding her ring beside his as she sighed deeply, leaning against the wall as she sat on her bed. She bite her lip as she started to cry again and tossed the rings across the room, "Damn it." he growled, as she got up and started to pace. She had no control, she had no hope, "You promised, damn you." she screamed, crying harder, before she whispered, "You promised to come back." she cursed before she fall to the ground and cried, "Please?! Just please."

Eric sighed, frowning as he watched her, "I'm sorry my love. I know I broke my promise, I didn't mean to."

Rowan felt tears of her own threatening to spill. She couldn't imagine how hard that had been for Emery and Hayden.

Eric felt a sharp pain before he was pulled back to Hector. He painted as he stood in front of Hector, as Hector was coming out. "We do I feel pain?" Eric asked.

Hector sighed, "Because you aren't drawing magic from your body. You used what little magic you had to project yourself here, to me. It was all you had and now it is wearing off."

Eric looked up at him, crouching down a little from the pain, "I am not afraid to go. But I am afraid of leaving."

Hector smiled, "I know. You were always okay with dying, but not with leaving everything behind. But you have no choice now. I have decided to bury your blades with you."

Eric looked confused, "But Emery...."

Hector sighed, "It's too much. I should have known better then to allow Shadow Blades to be used at all. If it had been any other blade, you would still be alive."

Eric shook his head, "It was my fault. I knew the power and I have it to Emery without him knowing what it was. I knew it missed with your senses and what it did with your magic."

Hector nodded, "Even more reason to pull them off the board. I am going to have to find a way to get to the ones that are still out there."

"I remember. I'm sorry we failed to get them. We didn't have a location and they were following. I pulled back because if we found them, it would be a battle. That and it was Hayden's birthday. I know she would have hated me for missing the while thing." Hector chuckled, Eric smirked, "Thank you for letting me keep the rock, Hector. She loved  it,  but what was it."

Hector looked at him, "A Embery Stone."

Eric looked lost, "It couldn't have been,  those don't exist. "

Hector smirked, "But they do. They are legend but they aren't myth. An eternal stone that will lock a soul in. When I heard your plans I thoughtit was good for you to keep it. When the time comes I will hold them for when you both come back. "

Eric smirked, "So it really is a reincarnation stone. I guess that makes sense." He chuckled then sighed, "Can you tell her I love her? I loved her since we meet and I never wanted to let her down. And tell Brandon he was the best brother I ever had. I would never have been anything without him and I believe he always made the right call. Tell Emery, I am his big brother and would die again, just for him." He shook his head, "Wait no, bad joke. Just tell him it wasn't his fault. That I was happy we went with me and when he leads his own missions, remember. He has to protect his people, that's the most important role of being on a mission." Eric sighed, "One more thing, Hector....Kyle* Do you know? He could see me. I thought it only worked for one person."

Hector sighed, nodding, "The spell does, but Kyle* special. He has the sight, I am still trying to help him without him feeling isolated."

Eric chuckled before he flinched from the pain, "He's a good kid. I'm sad I'm going to miss when he takes over, but I'm sure it will make us all proud."

"Thank you,  Eric. I believe he will to."

Rowan frowned as she watched, even more confused about everything and then also feeling an incredible sadness. She wished so badly she could go back and change things but she knew that was impossible. Instead she felt more and more of an urge to make sure Eric was back to normal...after she figured out how he was back at all.

It was a slight pull, when Kyle* took her out. He closed the file when she was out and sighed, "Hey, you okay?" He said noticing she was sad.

Rowan looked over to him, a little disoriented at first before she wiped away a couple of tears. "Yeah, I'm fine. I do have some questions though. Like if Eric's soul was out of his body...how is he here right now?" She asks.

Kyle* sighed and shrugged, "I have no idea. It doesn't make sense to me, but unless Anthony can get in there to find out, we won't know. "

Rowan nodded, moving to follow him. "What about the...the Embery stone? Is that what it's called...could that help to bring him back somehow?" She asks.

Kyle* looked confused for a moment as he thought then nodded,  "Yeah, but they would have to be able to access the Embery stone that is linked to his soul." He shook his head, "That can only be done by someone that....." He paused, before going to get the files at his feet as if just realizing, he handed her a few and carried the rest, "Come on, we have to see my father."

Rowan looked at him curiously. "Okay? But doesn't Hayden have the stone his soul is linked to?" She half asks and half says as they walked.

Kyle* nodded as he led her in a rush, "Yes, but there are pieces. The stone was made into three pieces. One to Hayden and one for Eric those are their wedding bands that have both their souls and then something he gave Emery I never say it. But there were fragments that were supposed to be destroyed."

Rowan frowned as she hurried along beside him. They hopefully could figure this out. Though she was curious about what he was rushing for right now.

Rowan was right behind him. Though on the stairs she stumbled a little and quickly caught her balance. "Kyle what is so urgent that we need to see your father about?" She asks at the bottom of the stairs, coming up beside him.

Kyle* sighed, "The stone. What wasn't being used should have been destroyed but I have a theory to run by my father. "

Rowan nodded in understanding as she followed him the rest of the way. She was terribly curious and more than eager to help how she could.

Kyle sighed as he rushed through the hallway, passing a few people and stopping when he got into his father's office. His father was talking to anthony, getting a report and the both looked at Kyle and Remi before Anthony turned to Hector,  "Looks like you have your hands full, I'll update you with any important changes."

Hector nodded , "Thank you Anthony." He said looking at Kyle as Anthony smirked at them both as he started to leave.  When he was gone, Hector looked at the two of them and sighed.

"Did you find them all?"

Kyle nodded, "Yes." He said morning Remi to follow him to his father's desk.

Rowan hestitated as they arrived, staying in the door way until Kyle* motioned her forward. She did so hesitantly at first, but she wanted to be a part of it too and her hesitation soon faded. She had to keep herself from asking about the files Kyle* had been looking for though as she realized she didn't know what they were.

"Good." Hector said and Kyle* sighed, "But I think there is something that might be wrong." Hector looked at him confused, "Remi brought up a good point, I don't think Eric is what he seems."

"What do you mean?" Hector asked.

"Eric was brought back from death. So how was he brain washed when he was brought back from a shard of his soul. He might function as he did before but that is just it. Eric's mind never was like anyone else's."

Rowan looked between them, her eyes widening a little. That did not sound promising. "But that doesn't mean he can't be helped...right?" She asks cautiously.

Hector smirked, as Kyle * looked at her, but Hector was the one tat spoke, "Eric was born with a rare brain, so to speak. He sees things a lot differently then most so he has a focus that is almost impossible to change. In fact, I only say almost because I have yet to meet anyone that can."

Kyle* added, "In other words, you can't brain wash him unless you know the details of his brain, mapped it out and everything, but that could take decades. So, we can't help Eric because there is nothing to help. He isn't brainwashed, he is faking it."

Rowan opened her mouth to speak and then frowned deeply. She did not think that would sit over well with Emery. "Why is he still faking if he's here?" She asks slowly. She of course had an idea and at the same time she wasn't so sure.

Hector and Kyle* looked at each other, that was a good question, until Hector sighed, "Unless she wasn't the only one." he suggested.

Kyle* looked confused fro a moment and then down and nodded, "You're right." he sighed looking at Rowan, "We had a spy before, Emery's betrothed but she was caught. It's the only explanation. Either it is because she is locked up and he knows it, or there are more like her and he can't trust us all."

Rowan frowned but nodded. That made sense. "Would he reveal himself to one of you? If it was in a secure spot? Is there anything I can help with?" She asks. She wanted to make things right. "I'm new enough here that maybe...maybe I could some how figure out who they are if there are others?" She knew she was starting g to ramble but she so badly wanted to help.

Hector nodded, "Come with me, we will blacken the room and then we will figure out what it is that is going on." he motioned Remi to follow him. He motioned Kyle* to stay, "Deal with everything, and tell no one." his son just nodded as Hector led the way.
