Fantasy Two Worlds Collide

[Matreania]

Kyle* sighed as we watched but nothing happened, "That's not possible." he said, as he looked to make sure everything was in order, and obviously it was. He sighed, there was supposed to be something that happened, but he looked at the blood and then to Rowan, "Don't move." he told her.

Helena watched as she waited for the stone to do it's work, but nothing happened and she took a moment before she thought of why, tilting her head. As Kyle* tried to figure it out, Helena moved beside Nicoli and placed her hand on the stone, before it started to brighten up.

Rowan looked to Kyle* as he told her not to move, nodding her head a little. Both she and Nicoli looked to Helena in confusion as she came over. When the stone lit up she looked to Kyle* in confusion. “What does that mean?” She asked. Assuming all of them but her understood what was going on.

 

[Matreania]

Kyle* looked confused, "That's not possible." he said as Helena looked at Nicoli.

"The Shadow Transfer.." she said in a way to explain.

Kyle* turned to Rowan, "This identifies your genes and the parents." he explained, "Your mother's blood, your father and....." he paused for a moment, "Some how this means your Sight Line is the same as mine. If you have the power, it comes from the fact that you are blood to Helena, as much as you are to your parents." he stated.

 

[FangAndOzy]

“But how can that be?” Rowan asked, not understanding Shadow Transfer and not knowing what Helena had done for her and her mother.

 

[Matreania]

Kyle* looked at her and then Helena, "That's how you survived." Then turned to Rowan, "Shadows can't breed outside of our own. You survived being born, your mother survived you being born, because.... Helena must have used a spell that joined your mother to her." He sighed looking around, before he said, "Helena have your mother her power and blood so that you both could live passed your birth." He looked at her for a moment, "That would make them both your blood."

Helena sighed as she took a deep breath, "She passes." She stated.

Kyle* looked at Helena and nodded, "The line is identified, she it's able to possess the power of Sight, by blood." He smirked, "You passed this test."

Rowan smiled some but her attention was focused on Helena. She never knew. Then she looked to her father, wondering if he had known. She pushed the conflicting feelings down and looked to Kyle* again, smiling once more. “Well that’s good right? Now we know what I am. Is there more we have to do?” She asked him curiously. She would speak to her father and Helena later.

 

[Matreania]

Kyle* nodded, "Yeah. It's just never been a factor before, to have a third parent." he stated before he took a breath, "You can take your hand off the stone now." he said as the blood blended into the stone and Helena removed her hand. "I can take you to the hall for lunch." he offered

Rowan removed her hand and then nodded. “I would like that. You have time for it?” She asked, feeling bad that she was sure she took from some of his precious time.

Nicoli temlved his hand after Helena and looked to Rowan, but kept his comment to her to himself for now as she spoke to Kyle*. He sighed a little and looked to Helena. “Come on, we should get going. I can bring you some food if you like?” He offered her.

 

[Matreania]

Kyle* smirked, "I can at least take you there." he told her. He glanced to her grandparents, nodding in respect.

Helena took a breath and reached for Nicoli, "I....I think we should..." she stated before she fainted. The stone matched more then blood and genes, so it took a lot more for Helena to try and stay on her feet through the whole identification.

Nicoli reacted quickly to keep her from falling and scooped her up. Immediately his mother was at her side. “Bring her to the Med Hall.” She said, her voice was gentle but it was a command not a request. Nicoli had no arguments as he followed her.

Rowan looked over when Helena fell but didn’t move to follow. There would be too many people otherwise. “Why did that affect her like that?” She asked Kyle*.

 

[Matreania]

Kyle* looked confused, "It shouldn't have. It takes some power, blood and genetics for teh stone to know for sure, but there has never been anything like that happen, before."

 

[FangAndOzy]

"Could it be because of how her power was transferred?" She asked uncertainly. She wanted to know and understand more, but she figured she would visit the library to try to figure out what she wanted to know so as not to take up too much of Kyle* time. She also knew she could ask Adam, but she didn't know how much he would know, as willing as he may be to help.

 

[Matreania]

Kyle* shook his head, "No. the Shadow Transfer should be over so the effect would be the same as with your other parents. Like your father, it wouldn't have really had too much effect at all. So she shodul have been fine." he looked concerned, "If you want, I can take you to teh Med Hall and we can find out."

 

[FangAndOzy]

Rowan hesitated, but then nodded. She was genuinely concerned for Helena. "That may be a good idea." She said. Everything else could be figured out after they made sure Helena was okay. She started to walk in the same direction her father had gone, hesitating only slightly as her grandfather passed them without looking to her to go to Hector. She looked back to Kyle* what's going to happen now that we know I have sight?" She asked.

 

[Matreania]

Kyle* smirked, "We still have two more tests, this one just proved you are able to have Sight. You just need to pass two tests and there will be a variation of tests. But most importantly, when my father returns we should explain to my father about the fact that by blood, you are Helena's daughter." he stated. He sighed as he led the way and looked at her grandfather, who was already turning the corner, "And you shouldn't worry about it, too much, we'll deal with everything and help you with everything, okay."

She smiled a little at him. "I don't think he likes me very much. But I guess I don't care, he doesn't have the right to judge me based off of my parents' union." She said with a sigh. She gave him another smile. "It's weird to think like that, that I am Helena's daughter." She shook her head a little. "There is so much I am going to have to do research on to understand all of this better still. What are the tests like?" She asked him curiously.

 

[Matreania]

Kyle* shrugged, "They are different for each tester, but they are going to just test your ability to use Sight, even though you don't have to know how to.' he said as he walked with her, "And it is strange, but technically, if you weren't her daughter, either your mother or you would have died or both of you. So I guess the weirdness is actually a good thing."

 

[FangAndOzy]

Rowan smiled and nodded. "That is true. I am very grateful to her for it, and I want to make sure she knows that. I don't think I've done a very good job showing that I do actually like her. It's my father who I am frustrated with." She said with a faint smile. "When will we do the other tests? Is it weird I am a little excited for it?" She asked.

 

[Matreania]

Kyle* looked at her curiously, "Why are you frustrated with your father?" he asked wondering what hapened. He didn't know much about whta was happening, he had a whole tower to deal with, but he was sure that something had to have happened.

Rowan blushed a little. "It's childish I think. But I hate seeing how much he still loves Helena and I can't help wondering why he chose my mother over her. And now..." She stopped suddenly, remembering that what her father and Helena were trying to do was illegal. "I don't know, it's annoying I guess, and maybe that's because I don't understand. But he loves Helena and my mother both and I am just...I think my annoyance stems more from the pain I still feel when I think about my mother's death and that my father doesn't seem to mourn her at all. But I also know that is part of how he was raised." She said.

 

[Matreania]

Kyle* nodded, "Maybe. I don't know why Nicoli left Helena for your mother, or if he understands it himself. But I know that when he did, Helena didn't try to stop him. Maybe he loves her, maybe she could have stopped him, and then this all would be a lot more simplify, but if that had happened, you never would have been born. I think maybe he doesn't know how to feel and it would be easier for him to mourn if he didn't love Helena or she wasn't around. But that doesn't mean he doesn't love your mother. Maybe it would help you both if Helena wasn't here?" he suggested

 

[FangAndOzy]

Rowan frowned a little. "I don't know. But...it's not like I don't want her here. I can't even bring myself to be even slightly annoyed with her, if anything I just feel bad for her. I can't imagine what she'd feeling either with my father here." She said, and possibly with her mother returning. She sighed and gave Kyle* a smile. "I guess me being born is a pretty big thing though." She teased, trying to lighten the mood. "And despite everything I am glad to be here. I wish I could have grown up in this life." She said.

 

[Matreania]

Kyle* smirked, "Yeah, that is a big thing. I mean, you survived being human and it would have been nice if you were raised her." he assured her but then stopped, "I am going to send Helena away." he decided, "I can send her to be treated in another tower, to help you and your father mourn your mother better.' he stated, "She will be fine to return when you both are done mourning your mother."

 

[FangAndOzy]

Rowan stopped and looked to him. "I can't ask you to do that Kyle*. I don't think displacing her is the correct solution." She said gently. She didn't think it would help and if anything she had a feeling her father would just follow Helena anyway.

 

[Matreania]

Kyle* sighed, "Maybe, but I think that it is important that you both mourn and I've noticed that he doesn't seem to mourn the same way. It is not something he was trained to do in public, but he has been around the tower a lot more then if he was doing it. He is a Warrior, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't mourn someone he loves." he said, "I will send my cousin to a different tower and then when my father comes back we can talk about it then."
