Adam looked at her, "I don't usually fight Emery for anything, but if he tries anything, let me know. I'll definitely be there to teach him a lesson he might not survive."

Rowan smiled some. “Thank you Adam. But I truly don’t think anything will happen. He’ll probably continue to ignore me and try to forget I exist.” She tried to assure him.

Adam smirked, "You know, maybe you shoudl talk to Helena, I heard she gave your father something so if she was ever in trouble, she could let him know and he could come save her." he stated, before he chuckled, "Since word about your father and Helena's return to the tower, there are a lot of stuff about those two going around."

Rowan smirked as he wouldn’t drop the subject but nodded a little. If it made him feel better she would ask about it. At mention of her father and Helena though she got a weird feeling in her stomach. “What kinda of things?” She asked, keeping her voice light and her curiosity was genuine. She liked Helena quite a lot and she knew Helena and her father had been betrothed, but it bothered her how easily her father appeared to be moving on. From what she’d gathered that was normal of a warrior but it still bothered her.

Adam looked at her and shrugged, "Just that they were in love. He tried teaching her to fight, and ended up regretting it. Oh, and some other stuff, like their little romantic secret spot no one has found yet or the whole Darkness mission that they came back from, apparently after that mission, finding them in the room together was kind of a go to, for a few days." he smirked, then frowned, "But they were kids then, you know that Rowan. I'm sure your father loved your mother a lot more."

Rowan shrugged. They had sounded like they were really in love and once more she was horribly confused by the choices her father had made that caused him to leave the tower. “I think he loved them about the same, it was just easy for him to think he loved my mother more because he didn’t see Helena every day to remind him that he loved her too.” She said, giving Adam a small smile. “And besides, rumor is you never really get over your first love. It’s convenient that when my father finds her my mother is dead.” The words came out a little harsher than she’d meant for them to and she gave Adam a sheepish smile. “Can we not talk about my father and his romantic life?”

Adam nodded, feeling bad for bring it up in the first place, "Sure. I mean, we could talk about anything you want to."

“Sorry. I’m learning still. I promise I’m not going to let stuff like that bother me so much so I quit bumming out our conversations.” She said, lightly bumping her shoulder against his and offering a smile. “Maybe we can train later. I mean I’m supposed to train with my father right now, but it might be fun to train with someone who is experienced and closer to my age.” She suggested.

Adam smirked at her, "that would be a good thing. But I don't know if I could train you without letting you win." he stated

Rowan laughed a little and playfully rolled her eyes. “Oh come on, it’ll be so easy for you to win that you won’t have a chance to think about letting me win.” She teased, glad to be back on a lighter subject.

Adam smirked, "I don't think I can hurt you is what I mean. Training is not something that can be taken lightly and I have to say, it's really going to be interesting for your father to train you. Because he won't be able to go easy on you, at all."

Rowan grinned. “Yeah...I don’t think he’ll have a problem with that. If he does I’ll just be a brat and goad him on.” She said playfully. “When I’m better we can spar then and you won’t have to worry about it.” She said with a grin.

Adam chuckled, "If you get to were I am now and I am still at this level, I will just have to let you win. There is no way I will be able to stand being like this forever, I have to improve."

Rowan laughed. “That is true. Well maybe I will just excel quickly. Or you’ll always just be better than me. I think either way there could be an issue.” She teased.

Adam smirked, before he stopped, "Well, this is the training area, pretty sure your father is in here."

Rowan sighed a little but then nodded. “He sure is. I’ll see you later Adam. Maybe later today or tomorrow?” She said.

Adam smiled, "The sooner the better." He assured her, before leaving in to kiss her cheek, "I'll see you later."

Rowan smiled and moved to go inside, stopping g quickly when she saw her father. “So that’s Adam huh? Careful Ro, I’ve heard a lot about him.” He said. Rowan rolled her eyes and then walked past him.

“He knows where he stands with me. Come one we’re supposed to train right?” She said, smiling some as she turned to face her father. Nicoli smirked and walked over. He was glad his daughter had adjusted so well to this life. Even if he was still worried for her and the abilities she may have.

“You’re right. Let’s get started. I’m not going to go easy on you.” He said.

“Good. I’d resent if you did.” Rowan said with a smile and Nicoli smiled in return as they got started.

It was a while before Helena went to go looking for Nicoli. She recalled him saying he was going to train Rowen, so that was her first guess. It was a good walk to the training area and she could hear them. She smirked, as she pulled her head in, to see how it was going. She didn't want to get in the way of it, especially since it was time for Rowen and Nicoli to have time together.

Nicoli had not gone easy on his daughter. He’d remembered his training at her age and had no issue with being hard on Rowan. He’d just shown her how to effectively get out of someone’s grasp in hand to hand combat and when Helena had poked her head in, Rowan had just effectively knocked her father onto the ground, having knocked the wind out of him. He was grinning though. “I never realized you had such a strong elbow.” He gasped as he got to his feet. Rowan smirked.

“I’m stronger than I look.” She said proudly. By chance she caught sight of Helena and smiled some. “I hope you saw him getting knocked flat on his ass by his untrained daughter.” She said playfully, causing Nicoli to look over. He couldn’t help but to smile when he saw Helena.

Helena smiled, as she stepped into the room, "Yes. It was interesting, but I'm sure your father would say it had to do with his lack of training." She teased, as she walked into the room, "But to be fair, at his best, I knocked him on his ass myself, and I have had no training. I'm sure he at least taught you to defend yourself. So it's his own fault " she chuckled.

Rowan laughed and Nicoli pretended to pout a little. "I was going easy on both of you." He said, winking playfully at Helena. It made Rowan uncomfortable, but she hid it with ease and kept up her smile.

"Says anyone who is trying to protect their pride." Rowan said in response, causing her father to laugh.

"Yes I suppose that is true isn't it." He said. He looked to Helena again, though this time with curiosity. "So what brings you to this part of the tower?" He asked.

Helena smiled with pride this time, "I think I did it. I haven't tested it out yet, but I think I really did it." She said with a smile.

Nicoli looked at her blankly for a moment, his mind still in training mode, before he realized what she was talking about. A bright smile lit up his features and he moved closer to her. "Are you ready to test it? I can come with you, Rowan and I are at a good stopping point. We could test it now." He said. Rowan frowned a little as she looked between them.

"Test what?" She asked, the question coming out before she could stop it.

Helena smiled up at Nicoli before turning to Rowan, "The time spell. I think I can bring your mother here." She said, nodding as she looked at Nicoli, "I am sure I have gotten it."
