Everyone rushed to the training ground, it was nearing 9:00am and the course was about to start. Most of the trainees were excited and were really looking forward to the class. Keith started the uniform inspection, everyone was pretty much sharp, he then started explaining the basic of the 3DMG. Kira didn't listen much all he wanted to do was get a hold of this machine and start analyzing it and work on it.

Ricky listened intently, visualizing every detail and instruction. Man, this was going to be fun. Ricky stared at the 3DMG training things, they reminded Ricky of swings. Ricky had a great balance, which was one of the things required in order to work 3DMG, so Ricky thought it shouldn't be to hard. The first row of trainees went, all of them passing. Then it was Ricky's turn. She latched herself in, and she got pulled up. She didn't even hesitate with it, she could even wave her hands around wildly and not loose balance. Keith didn't smile, but he was obviously impressed. yet it wasn't Ricky's first time on these, she would practice going on them a lot when she was younger with the survey corps.

Kira stared at Ricky as she was waving frantically, she had a great balance he had to admit. Kira started wearing the 3DMG and was being pulled up. He didn't quite know what to expect, he had a hard time at first but manage to find his center of gravity, Well this isn't so bad..he thought, he would have fallen like Eren did. Keith walked in front of him and looked at him for a second '' You have potential boy, don't waste it.'' he said with a serious look. Kira immediately saluted him '' Absolutely sir'' he said with an emotionless tone.

Ricky stopped waving her arms when Keith told her to stop. "you'd be a great titan distraction, and still be able to live out of it.." Keith muttered, walking over to Kira. was that a compliment? Ricky didn't know. She was ordered to stay still on the harness a little while longer. Titan distraction? that would probably be more scary than titan-killing... Ricky shivered at the thought of being chased by a 15 meter titan, her gear not working... being picked up by metal-like hands, having teeth put intense pressure on her throat... Ricky's pupils got tiny while thinking of this. She closed her eyes, trying to hide back the memory of her first encounter with a titan.

Kira unhooked the harness, he didn't want to let go of it. He wanted to keep it and take apart all the pieces and reassemble them. Armin took the 3DMG looking at him like he understood how he felt. Once you finished practising on the 3DMG, you were allowed to go back in the dorms and do whatever you felt like as long as we stayed on the campus. Ricky was still practising, he sighed and sat on the floor waiting for her to finish. He wasn't going to do anything anyways. He wondered where Christopher wandered , he hadn't seen him all day.

Ricky finally finished, hurrying over to Kira. "so, how'd you do?" Ricky said, smiling widely. she was obviously proud of herself. "only a week more of this, and then we start to actually use 3DMG to kill fake titans!" Ricky squealed excitedly. She watched the others, and then looked back at kira. "wanna go do something?" Ricky asked, brainstorming things she could do.

Kira looked at her amused, '' I wouldn't mind.'' He stood back up, brushing the dirt off his pants. There was no one left on the training ground, Ricky was one of the last ones. She really looked like she was in her element, there was finally someone he thought actually had the potential to be a soldier, and she looked like had something driving her to be better everyday. He, on the other hand, had the potentially but wasn't sure why exactly he joined. He knew that the main reason was to come out of the poor life of a street boy, but now that he was a trainee, what can motivate him?

"hmm..." Ricky thought, "we could try to meet and greet others, grab a snack, watch nature, and... oh!" Ricky grinned, "there's a lake that looks really pretty at night, and i heard Eren and others were going there to practice to improve their balance. but we could go there for fun, if you want." Ricky always went to that lake for a swim, or for watching nature. It calmed anyone down, reminding them of the beauty of nature.

'' It's fine with me...tho i'm not very good with meeting new people..'' Kira said. Tho he didn't want to hindrance her and make her stay with him and not meet anyone. He would feel somehow guilty. ''but don't worry, we can go there.'' he blushed slightly and looked away. He started feeling uneasy , he then looked at her, but all he could see was Sasha grinning basically saying I know who you draw and the WHooooole nation will know it.

Ricky grinned, and grabbed Kira's hand hurriedly, dragging him so the two can catch up with eren and the others, as they go to the lake and chatter. Eren seems to glare at Kira, but he gets distracted talking to Reiner. Ricky goes on and on to Kira about nature science, about oceans, deserts, mountains, the water cycle, everything. The other men seem to chuckle at how fast and how much Ricky is talking to Kira, (Ricky is the only girl there). The boys already have their suspicions for a love relationship starting,.. (please dont shoot me. xD )

Kira noticed Eren's Glare but he still kept an indifferent facial expression. Ricky was dragging him pretty much everywhere she was going, he didn't mind it actually finding it fun. He listened to her drabble about all those new stuff he had no idea actually existed. Right now, Ricky was probably the smartest person his met. He would occasionally ask her questions or more descriptions, especially when she started on the ocean. He hoped she would never stop, her voice was angelic to his ears and just gave him butterflies to the stomach. Tho he would never admit that to anyone.

Ricky answered each question, and enjoyed it. She loved the fact that Kira was actually listening. A boy suddenly blurted out, "Ricky! How are you not miserable?! You've seen many deaths before!" then it got quiet. But Ricky always had an answer. "Because i believe that once someone physically dies, they are not mentally dead. They stand with us, and they are in a place of happiness. The dead wants us to be more concerned on the living, not the dead." But the boy suddenly got mad. "HOW DO YOU KNOW?!" Ricky looked at him. "i dont." The boy stared at her for a while, but then he just turned back and headed back to the boy's dorm. Everyone was quiet for a while, but once everyone saw the lake, they all completely forgot that conversastion. The lake reflected the moon, making it look like he moon was floating on the lake. Small ripples from fish would be caused once in a while, and the smell of the forest surrounded everyone. Ricky squealed and ran to the lake, jumping in it with a cannon ball.

Christopher was already floating around in the lake, the cold water soothing his body. He was relaxed, lying on his back, gently kicking his feet to stay afloat. The sky was beautiful and the temperature as perfect as-could-be. He couldn't dare ask for more. Despite it's crappy start, the training wasn't actually going as bad as first assumed - it was going well, it not great. And Christopher was thankful. As he floated around on the lake, he couldn't help but to admire his "friends," or at least he thought they were his friends. They acted how he saw friends act around each other. Nice, and, well, friendly.

Ricky grinned as she saw christopher floating around, and swam next to him. "hi chrissy!" Ricky said, then floated on her back, watching the stars and sky. Then, a thought crossed her mind. Despite what she said, she knew she may not be able to handle the death of christopher or Kira. she viewed them as friends, and didn't want to loose them. She shook that thought out of her mind, watching a shooting star whizz across the sky.

"Hi," Christopher replied, chuckling at the nickname. "Woah!" He gasped when he saw the feint star make its way across the sky. "Did you see that?" He asked excitedly, pointing up with one arm, flipping himself so that his body became diagonal. Here was his chance to wish, wish for something great, amazing, exciting, and large; to wish for something special or meaningful; to wish for something that mattered the most.


I wish for... He though for a moment deeply. I wish for the safety of my new friends.

Suddenly, many shooting stars filled the sky. "whoah!" Ricky said, scrambling in the water to get upright. "I've heard about these~ a star shower! something like that!" Ricky said, jaw dropped in amazement as the falling stars filled the sky. A chance to make a wish. i wish... i wish that my friends will always be safe! Ricky's eyes reflected the beautiful night. The water did, to. It seemed like white fish were flying across the water, beatuifully lighting the sky. "wouldn't it be great to be able to see more beautys like this..? I promise, i'll get out there," Ricky turned to Christopher, "and you can come to, if you want." honestly, Ricky would probably drag her friends around the world, in a world without titans...

Kira walked to the lake and dipped his legs in it. He couldn't just jump in like Ricky did, simply because he didn't know how to swim. He just never had anyone willing to show him. The water was cold yet warm, it felt comforting. It sounded crazy but the water made him feel at ease. Ricky started talking to Christopher but Kira was too far to actually grasped all of the conversation. Christopher pointed towards the sky as what seemed like stars started falling from the sky. It wasn't the first time he saw this, but every time it would impress him. Reiner and a few boys noticed it and made a comment on making a wish. Obviously, Eren found it stupid and said how dumb they were and here on Jean provoked him. Basically, a fight started.

Ricky noticed Kira didn't jump in. She swam over to him and asked, once the meteor shower was over, "do you know how to swim, Kira? Its quite easy," Ricky said, going on shore. She turned her head over to Eren and the other boys who were fighting and yelled, "JUST GO AHEAD AND PRACTICE YOU'RE 3DMG ALREADY!" She didn't say it in a rude way, just in an annoyed way so they could hear her. She turned back to Kira. "here, watch what i do.." Kira walked in the water until she could find a deep point. Kira turned and floated on her back, then kicked underwater, causing her to move forward at a fast speed. She used her hands to, lifting them out of the water and then back in, making her go faster. She swam back on her stomach freestyle. "here, you try in a shallow point. and once you get the hang of it, you'll be able to swim easily." She went back in the water, stopped in one spot, and kicked slowly to keep her head above water while she was in an upward position. She smiled reassuringly at Kira, knowing he can do it.

He didn't want to make a fool of himself but couldn't refuse, especially since she asked so nicely and didn't make fun of him. He slowly dipped himself in the water ,luckily he could touch the bottom of the lake with toe. He tried floating without standing on the bottom of the lake but he always ended up swallowing water, ''I don't get it he said..'' he said ashamed of his incompetents .

Ricky smiled. "I have an idea, captain Erwin did this to me to help..." Ricky swam up to kids as he was about to sink again on his back. Ricky put one hand on his upper back, and one on his lower back, above his waist. Ricky kept him floating while supporting him. "Keep you're balance and relax, close you're eyes and listen to the birds..." then kits slowly let go, and kits was floating on his own.

Ryozo did as he was told, he released his muscle and closed his eyes knowing that Ricky was holding him. He listened to the sound of the water moving, a few frogs ribbit and the annoying trainees still debating over something. Anyhow, he started floating on his own not even realizing Ricky had let him go. He was drifting towards the deep part of the lake, when suddenly Connie was thrown by Eren into the river right next to him. The waves and the splash snapped him away from his newly found balance. He was now under water, not able to swim but he still didn't panic much, but he honestly had no idea how to resurface. Hopefully someone will understand that his staying too long in the water

Ricky was swimming by his side the whole time quietly. When he went underwater, she panicked. "KIRA!" Ricky grabbed his waist and pulled him up above water, Ricky having to kick hard to stay above water with him. It looked like Ricky was hugging Kira, yet Ricky was only trying to keep Kira above the water, and she had to grab him by the waist in order to do that. She couldn't spread out her arms so she and kira could have space, that would make it harder for both of them to stay above the water. Ricky calmed down s bit. "Ok, Kira, listen to me. I know this is an awkward position, but it's the only way to keep both of us above water. I want you to kick both you're legs like I am. That way you can keep you're head above water. Now push the water down with you're arms at the same time,slowly, so you have extra support. I can't keep both of us up much longer-" Ricky noticed She was going to drown herself soon, She was lower in the water than Kira was. "Trust me, and don't panick," Ricky said, looking in kira's eyes softly. She secretly wished this moment could last forever. She couldn't blush since she was scared.

Kira felt someone pulling him out of the water, he wasn't sure who it was but he was grateful. The person had it's arms around the waist and working hard to stay above water. When the person talked he recognized Ricky's voice. "Ok, Kira, listen to me. I know this is an awkward position, but it's the only way to keep both of us above water. I want you to kick both you're legs like I am. That way you can keep you're head above water. Now push the water down with you're arms at the same time,slowly, so you have extra support. I can't keep both of us up much longer-", he noticed her getting immerse by the water and was panicking. He looked at her ''Don't worry Ricky, he are barely a few meter away from a shallow point'' with that said he did as she said. He kicked his legs and was able to keep both their heads above water, but he got tired easily not use to doing it. Luckily, they were able to go towards a shallow a point where Kira could touch the ground. ''Thank you Ricky,'' he said scratching the back of his head , still embarrassed that he basically almost drowned.

Ricky smiled at Kira, "no problem! I would never let you drown!" Ricky let out a short laugh, noticing what just happened. The other trainees missed everything that happened, since they were still working on balance, and arguing at the same time. Ricky felt a blush come to her cheeks, finally, but thankfully it was dark. Ricky got out of the water and stretched. "You owe me, kira!" Ricky laughed, and everyone began to walk back. Ricky lectured Eren about throwing people in the water and how Kira almost drowned, yet Eren seemed to just sigh and nod, embarrassed.

Kira chuckled at her statement, he didn't like owning people but he didn't mind if it was Ricky.She started lecturing Eren, which was quite funny since she acted as a big sister and they just met. ''I'll have your back once in the field, i guess that could repay you.'' He whispered while a barely noticeable smile spread accros his face. He rarely smiled, always with an indifferent face, but right now it just happened that he couldn't contain it inside.
