Good afternoon, newest students of this fine institute, and even some returning students. I know this is all very, very strange to you, with us moving campuses, that's for the returning students anyway. For everyone else well, you're not here of your own free will. Which, I respect you possibly wanting to leave this place, even though you won't I respect your desire to. Anyway as such with each new semester comes an influx of new students, new family, and changes to who you are. So once again let's go through the tiring process of updating or filling out the sheet handed to you at the door. I know I know it's annoying and extensive but the Administrators like to keep tabs on all the students, so it's mandatory.

Although for you new students, let me give you a recap. See in this Institute, we give a very formal and serious educational process for the students to follow. The class you are assigned to is not decided by or influenced by your age, but simply by your skill level. Although of course the children are more so focused in the Foster care section of the campus, except for those few advanced prodigies. Most of you, abducted or brought in here around the age of 14 to 17, will start at Year 0. You have no skill in assassination, and most of you have limited if not no knowledge in Martial arts or Stealth. The years range from Year 0 to Year 8, although you begin your missions at Year 2. You can also be advanced to a certain year if your skill is more advanced than your peers, so it does not really take a Year to advance. And I'm expecting most of you to be quite angry and violent, go crazy go nuts, but be extremely careful with who you pick fights with. We do not condone permanent damage between students but we are not responsible for any damage that may befall you if you're stupid enough to go into battle with a Year 8.

Now for some of you, you might be wondering exactly why your appearance is needed to be described, or your personality, well you'd be awfully surprised how many people kidnap our students and try to act as them to gain information on the school. Which of course we can't ever let happen. So we take what you write with extreme caution and importance, and if we ever see you act in a way much different than what we are used to, well... You'll be killed on the spot, so make sure not to miss a thing. Although we will not ask for your history, or your background, because if I'm being honest no one cares. The past is the past, your families that you were taken from are gone, the prison you were in before this doesn't matter, whatever mistakes you've made and any sins you've committed just don't matter here. Got it?

One last thing before we release you all and send you to your dorms. You all are not randomly chosen, each of you has been spied on-er, I mean has been heavily researched for years. Either be it you were raised here or you were kidnapped-I mean chosen. None of you are here simply for the sake of being here, you are all here to help us, help the world. But not as heroes in those silly cartoons you've watched. You all are the punishers, the witches and warlocks, you make the hard choices that no one else can. You will steal, you will sin, you will commit crime, you will torture, and for those weak of heart, you will kill. All with those abilities you were born with, and while we already know what they are, we'd like you to put down what they are to see if you yourself know the extent of your own abilities. Well then with that said, I'll leave you all to your forms. Write a lot, and have fun!

Now once you have finished your form, you will go through the physical test after arriving at your dorm. This test measures your physical capability to see how healthy each of you are, and will be recorded on a scale of 0-20 for each statistic through a series of tests and simulations. Ah well, you know what I'll just let you all see it when the time comes. Why ruin the fun?

Yo yo yo, head admin talking now, just in general you guys can have more than one character, but I'd like the majority of characters to be Year 0, like this is their first time. Due to this being an entirely new concept it'd be best to have characters have a fresh mind to work off of. Also, for stats, you have 20 points to spend overall. appearance. Adelina, with her sharp facial features and pale white skin, is somewhat of an oddity, appearance wise. She is of average height and weight, standing only 5'6 and weighing around 130 pounds, but she is of the ectomorphic body type and doesn't gain either weight or muscle very easy---these combined traits make her appearance extremely skinny, almost gaunt-like. Her skin does have some freckling---it is few and far between---and Adelina has a large scar across her abdomen that she got while she was a child. as for her face, Adelina is often considered to look very odd, at least for the demographics of the institute. With the aforementioned pale skin, her white-blonde hair and the pale blue eyes, Adelina's facial features don't particularly stand out, and she often uses light makeup to fix this problem.

personality. Adelina is a quiet, reserved girl. She prefers to keep to herself, and too many noises or people can make her nervous. It's not like she's mean or rude, she just doesn't like to talk most of the time. Adelina has a good sense of humor though, and making her laugh is one way to get in her good books. She's always had a soft spot for children, so, if she is going to talk to anyone, it's usually the kids that she meets on her missions. This mothering instinct does tend to be applied to older people, but only people she knows well and is comfortable around.

Adelina Yakovlevna was born just a few days after Christmas to 2 loving parents. She was their first, and only, child after many years of trying for one, and they were ecstatic, regardless of the family's growing poverty. Her parents did the best they could for their daughter, but the truth was inevitable: they were growing further and further into debt. In order for the medical conception that Adelina's parents needed, they had to pay money that they didn't have. The family managed to find a solution, but it wasn't until much later that they discovered that their 'saviors' were actually loan sharks, slowing draining away at the moderate wealth they had accumulated over the years. It wasn't before long that Adelina's family was struggling very bad.

Her family tried to escape the loan sharks. Her father begged for a promotion in his company, and her mother picked up another job. But not 5 years after the best moment of their lives, Adelina's mother died, succumbing to a violent brach of lung cancer.

Adelina's father, heartbroken after the loss of his wife, threw everything he had into his job. The loan sharks were still on their backs, and they weren't letting up. Now with less income coming into the house, Adelina and her father moved into a poorer neighborhood in order to save money. The sharks just raised their bills, claiming their own hard times were getting the best of them.

With all of her father's time spent at work, or at a bar, Adelina began to try and provide for herself, even though she was only 8 years old. Food wasn't being brought into the house? She stole from the market. Her father wasn't coming by to come pick her up from school anymore? She could walk, it wasn't that far home. Her clothing was in tatters? Adelina asked her school-friends for hand-me-downs. Whatever the issue, Adelina would find a solution.... at least until the universe decided to punish her father for his negligence.

Human trafficking was a huge problem in Russia's larger cities. It was the fact of the matter and everyone knew that. People would simply carry pepper spray and make sure their doors were locked at night. But no one was looking out for little Adelina, and she was kidnapped on her way home from school one day. She would never see her father again.

The traffickers were nice enough to her. They painted themselves as saviors, claiming that her father had sold Adelina for money and that they were going to take her to a better family in the United States. She was eventually given the name 'Sophia from them. It would take many years for her to realize that she had simply been kidnapped.

Along with the 5 other children with her, Adelina was taken to a US orphanage. From there, she picked up English and was 'adopted' after only 4 months.

Adelina lived with her new family for a few years after the orphanage. They were kind, surely not knowing what had gone on behind the scenes. They just thought that she was a little orphan girl from Russia. Although, it wasn't like Adelina knew much of what happened either. She was just told to keep her mouth shut unless she wanted bad things to happen.

No one raised many eyebrows until things started to go wrong with Adelina around her 16th birthday. It all started with dry skin. It was always itchy, but Adelina, now called Sophia, just chalked it up to the cold weather. Then she had to start wearing jackets 24/7 because she was always cold. Her parents were confused, but did nothing.

It wasn't until she passed out and landed in the hospital that her parents became concerned. The doctors had never seen anything like it before. No matter what they did, things about Adelina just weren't right. It wasn't long before the Institute became metaphorically knocking. They manage to convince her parents to let her attend, under the guise of some sort of high-end academy, despite her vocal protests.

Unsurprisingly, the Institute was nothing like what the officials told her parents. During the summer, Adelina tried to leave many times, yet to no avail. Now, she has mostly accepted her fate, and is curious as to what they can teach her, even though she is still cautious.

➳➳➳➳ Enhanced Senses: Adelina has enhanced senses of hearing, touch, taste, and smell. While they usually prove beneficial to Adelina, too many loud noises or smells can easily overwhelm her. On the opposite side, her sight is pretty bad. It's nothing that can be fixed by human means--it's caused by her genetics---so Adelina typically uses her other senses to 'see' far away things.
➳➳➳➳ Scale Manifestation: Adelina constantly has small patches of scales scattered across her body, but she can control the growth of them if she wishes. When in stressful or important situations, her skin shifts to scales, similar in color to her pale skin. These act as last-resort protection. The scales are not very strong, but they'll hold off a few blows, if necessary.
➳➳➳➳ Venom Secretion: The most powerful part of Adelina's mutation is probably the venom that she can produce. Like many snakes, Adelina naturally produces venom. It resides in small amounts in her sweat and other body fluids, but if she wants to apply a potent dose, she'll have to bite; Adelina's fangs are where the most venom is collected. This venom is quite strong; a bite will paralyze someone in minutes and kill them in hours, while the venom in her blood and on her skin will make people feel tingly if it gets on them (think pufferfish). This ability is often dangerous, because, while she can control it when unstressed, Adelina will unconsciously active it when she's nervous as a way of protection.
➳➳➳➳ Ectothermic Body-Type: Although it is not as present in Adelina as it is in actual snakes, she is still 'cold-blooded'. Adelina relies on outside sources to get heat, and she will become sluggish and weak otherwise. Her room is filled with heaters, and wearing sweaters is an almost everyday occurrence.

Appearance
Theodore is a tall slender young-man, most of his physical features are hidden behind his leather over-coat. The colors of his coat, and boots may change from various shades of brown, to pitch black. The only things to never seem to change, are the white-crow mask, and leather gloves. No matter how dirty they get, he refuses to change them. Always finding time behind closed doors to clean them. The only visible physical aspect that seems to be exposed his long-strands of black hair. Combed back and usually covered by a black wide-brim hat.

Personality –

Theodore’s personality is a bit anti-social, when observed in most group conversations he rarely speaks. He seems to always be present in most meetings, or even Institute social events. Most of the time you would assume he wasn’t in attention until he opens his mouth, or standing right over your shoulder. This knack for always hiding in plain sight something it seems he’s brought with him prior to joining the Institute. Oddly enough his alias “Thrumming Bird” comes from his consistent humming during his work. Other staff members who have worked with describe it as unsettling or even maddening.
Even though Theodore as shown acute signs of Anti-Social tendencies, if questioned about something that peeks his interest a switch goes off inside of him. He becomes something of a chatterbox. It’s advised new students try to break the ice using topics such as: Cooking, Philosophy, Sewing or even Ornithology.
Theodore’s struggle with Atrial Septal Defect or ASD, causes him consistent shortness of breath. Another reason he was pulled from the front-lines of work. He’s given himself the probability of maybe ten more years of life. Due to this Illness, whenever he becomes encumbered by it he’s been known to go into fits of anger. Claiming that he is “Still capable of doing so much.” Ultimately his endgame, to cure his own terminal illness.

History –
Theodore arrived at the Totem Ware Institute of Gifted Individuals at the young age of seventeen. Upon his arrival carrying two recommendations from well versed medical schools. Clearing him of having already received his PhD in Medical Science, Masters in Chemistry and an Associates in Theoretical Physics, and his last being an Associates in Baking Science and Technology. (He’s more likely to deny this when asked about.) A strange boy, no one has ever seen him without his mask. When asked about it by fellow associates he always replies with some variation of “You’re all filthy, and the Sun it hurts my eyes.” Diagnosis from other associates place him with having a serve case of Germaphobia.

It wasn’t long before Theodore had completely set up shop in his own wing of the Institute. The infirmary became his own personal laboratory, eventually forcing other Staff members to relocate. His reasoning was “Too cluttered, can’t finish my projects.” Upon inspection by Senior Staff he had converted the Infirmary into a morgue. Further inspection revealed he had been hiding four cadavers from a nearby cemetery. Claiming that he was “Able to fix them.” Over the next few years his attempts at Necromancy had failed. He was not able to raise the dead, and ended up wasting a lot of the Institute’s medical funds.

Years later his continued forward with his Medical Practice, helping other students make up for their short-comings. He constructed extra limbs for the limbless, enhancements for the weak, and tools to help students harness their “Special Gifts”. This would later become his own “Special Talent” it became apparent that simply gazing upon another living being, he could “Diagnosis” their illness, or shortcomings with out prior knowledge of their Medical History. Their breathing Patterns, the way they walk, and the sound of the voice. He’d know you’d catch a cold before even you did.

This was good enough reason to ask him to undertake a few missions on behalf of the Institute. You’d think that someone skilled in Medicine would be strongly opposed to using their knowledge to do harm. How wrong they had been. Theodore had relished in the idea, of using his skills to cause pain and suffering. What he wouldn’t give to practice on a living subject. The Institute strictly enforced a rule on in house testing. His first few missions were a complete success, people started getting bumped off the roster of “Missing” people began to grow. To say he was anything but successful in his missions would be an understatement.

These events would transpire for a few years, until recently he claimed he had grown “bored” (In reality it was his ASD) of his assignments. He had requested his talents be put to other uses. His keen senses had grown sharper with his age. Now he’s a professional Interrogator. You need information extracted within a timely manner he’ll take care of it. Now we still send him into the field, all be it now mainly for support. He teams up with other members of the Institute to preform a wide array of tasks.

Theodore’s eyes are without a doubt is greatest assets, with out them he would not be who he is today. His sharp sense of intuition, and analysis have made a wonderful doctor. He’s able to determine Past, Present and Future illnesses or Disease. Simply by observing the breathing patterns, body movement and speech patterns. Normally he keeps what he learns about others to himself. Unless he’s able to use it to an advantage in some circumstance. The downside being he refuses to leave his abode during the day. He claims that the light is too bright even with his mask. One previous assassination attempt at a younger age he had been struck by Flash-Bang. He was out of commission for about six weeks.

Enhanced Control


His masterful understanding of the Human body has with out doubt changed him for the better. Walks with a demeanor as it seems that with each step, he remains in full control of all of his actions. Being able to walk without sound, go days without sleep, holding his breath for upwards of twenty minutes. However, with closer observation it seems he disappears to sleep for days on end, His current record is roughly around 137 Hours (Roughly 5 Days). Most likely to allow his body to rest, it appears that pushing himself to these extreme conditions eventually causes him to enter comatose like state for long-periods of time.

Of course she has her moments, especially when she knows she's right, but typically she would much rather keep to her close group of friends and her little brother, Ezra. Juno is so protective of those she loves and it can come off as a bit overbearing. She can also seem controlling but in all reality, it is simply her trying to watch out for those she loves. History

Juno never really went to school but still pursued her education on her own when she wasn't spying for her father or caring for her little brother, Ezra.


It was clear from a young age that Juno had an invaluable gift. At just seven years old, Juno began being able to mimic the voices, mannerisms, and appearances of other children her age. She couldn't keep the trick up for long at first but she eventually grew to master her skills. When she turned thirteen, her father decided to test her skills in the field. She ended up kidnapping the rival gang leader's daughter, with the help of a few of her father's goons, and went undercover as her to get details from the gang leader.

Her mission was a success and the gang leader was murdered. However, during the celebrations, a rat ended up exposing her to the remaining gang members. Juno was kidnapped in her sleep and was held captive for weeks on end for ransom. When her father decided he had no more use for her, he told the rival gang to do with her as they pleased. Juno was consistently uncooperative and seemed to be more trouble than she was worth. Instead of killing her, the gang sold her to Totem-Ware when she was fourteen. She has been there ever since.


Her time at Totem-Ware was mostly filled with her search for her little brother, Ezra. She looked for a long time but could never find him. It was much to her surprise when recently her little fourteen year old brother showed up at the doorstep of Totem-Ware.

Ezra is an average-sized guy. He stands at 6'0" and has an athletic build. Similar to his sister, he has naturally curly and ginger hair that he keeps at a moderate length. He is pale skinned and has plenty of freckles, though he doesn't enjoy them. His eyes tend to change colour depending on the way you look at them, though they are most commonly blue or blue-green. Ezra's fashion sense is pretty non-existent so he has pretty much one good
outfit, consisting of the only pair of un-ruined jeans he has and a grey tee shirt, that he wears pretty consistently.

Personality
Ezra can be a tricky person to understand. Most of the time, he doesn't seem like much at all. He isn't overly social, but he isn't a loner either. He isn't loud and obnoxious but isn't afraid to speak his mind either. Ezra is rather neutral; a middle of the road kind of guy. Compared to his sister, Ezra is much more relaxed and much less intimidating. He is not known for being frightening or powerful, but is well known for his reliability and levelheadedness. Perhaps he isn't the big guy on the front line, but he can quickly save you in times of trouble. Ezra isn't much of a direct-on fighter and really isn't that confrontational at all. He'll fight if he has to but also recognizes the beauty of simple ways out of a problem. On a social front, Ezra is actually quite friendly despite his introverted nature. He is always a shoulder to cry on and does his best to support others, even when they attempt to push him down.


History
Similar to Juno, Ezra was born into the gang life. Their mother passed away when Ezra was only a few months old from a heroin overdose, leaving Juno to take care of him as best as she could. Much of his early life cannot be remembered and was likely not worth noting anyhow. All of the attention was on Juno, the star child of the gang. She was going to bring them riches and success, Ezra was just going to tag along for the ride.


As he began growing, he began noticing that he could feel changes in the energy around him. It started out as a gut feeling that he couldn't quite pinpoint but eventually grew into a power that he calls kinetics. He began to be able to redirect some of the energy around him to make certain things move or to turn off the lights. He practiced by himself, simply because no one besides Juno seemed to have the time of day to watch his tricks.

When Ezra was eleven, tragedy struck. During the night, the one person he actually cared about was ripped from his life. Juno had been kidnapped and their father seemingly didn't want to do anything about it. Struck with guilt and sadness, Ezra ran away from home. He didn't want to be around a foul man that wanted nothing to do with his own children's safety.

Ezra bounced from place to place, living on the streets for a good while. Shortly after his fourteenth birthday, he attempted to steal cigarettes off of a homeless man who was asleep. The man awoke and began attacking Ezra, who tried desperately to get away. Eventually breaking free of the man's grasp, he made a bolt for the nearest alleyway. That's when he heard a loud gunshot ring through the air. He could feel the bullet tearing through the air, spiraling towards his spine. He was certain this is how he was going to die.

Only the bullet never hit.

Ezra kept running and didn't look back. It wasn't until the next morning that he found out that the man had been shot fatally in the heart- with his own bullet. Eventually, a group of crooked cops found Ezra after investigating footage from a storefront camera. Instead of returning the fugitive to his father, they decided to turn him in to Totem-Ware, where he would be reunited with his sister.

Gifted Ability
Ezra has the gift of what he calls kinetics. He has the ability to manipulate and sense energy of objects and, occasionally, people and living things. He can sense the energy of everything around him. He can tell that a ball is being thrown at him before he can see it, or can sense a punch about to land before he spots the attacker. He mostly uses his sensing ability, especially during combat, since his controlling ability is highly unstable and unpredictable.


Ezra does have the ability to control certain energies, like a bullet coming at him or something being thrown at him. He can divert the energy to change the path of the object or make it stop completely. He can also make certain objects move, depending on the situation. However, unlike his sensing ability which is always there, his controlling ability is more like a reflex and cannot often be called upon on a whim. He must be in immediate danger in order for it to take effect and even then, sometimes it simply doesn't work.

Languages - As a kid, Ezra spent a lot of time studying languages. He had a lot of spare time to himself on his hands and found a passion for the spoken word. Over the years, he has become fluent in English (his native language), Spanish, French, Italian, German, and traditional Japanese.
Lie Detection - Ezra is fairly good at spotting when someone is lying. It has to do with the shift of a person's energy when they're lying.
Music - Ezra is actually a good singer and can often be found singing or humming when he is alone or concentrating. He also plays the guitar and a bit of the piano

Theodore is a tall slender young-man, most of his physical features are hidden behind his leather over-coat. The colors of his coat, and boots may change from various shades of brown, to pitch black. The only things to never seem to change, are the white-crow mask, and leather gloves. No matter how dirty they get, he refuses to change them. Always finding time behind closed doors to clean them. The only visible physical aspect that seems to be exposed his long-strands of black hair. Combed back and usually covered by a black wide-brim hat.
Personality –

Theodore’s personality is a bit anti-social, when observed in most group conversations he rarely speaks. He seems to always be present in most meetings, or even Institute social events. Most of the time you would assume he wasn’t in attention until he opens his mouth, or standing right over your shoulder. This knack for always hiding in plain sight something it seems he’s brought with prior to joining the Institute. Oddly enough his alias “Thrumming Bird” comes from his consistent humming during his work. Other staff members who have worked with describe it as unsettling or even maddening.
Even though Theodore as shown acute signs of Anti-Social tendencies, if questioned about something that peeks his interest a switch goes off inside of him. He becomes something of a chatterbox. It’s advised new students try to break the ice using topics such as: Cooking, Philosophy, Sewing or even Ornithology.
Theodore’s struggle with Atrial Septal Defect or ASD, causes him consistent shortness of breath. Another reason he was pulled from the front-lines of work. He’s given himself the probability of maybe ten more years of life. Due to this Illness, whenever he becomes encumbered by it he’s been known to go into fits of anger. Claiming that he is “Still capable of doing so much.” Ultimately his endgame, to cure his own terminal illness.

History –
Theodore arrived at the Totem Ware Institute of Gifted Individuals at the young age of seventeen. Upon his arrival carrying two recommendations from well versed medical schools. Clearing him of having already received his PhD in Medical Science, Masters in Chemistry and an Associates in Theoretical Physics, and his last being an Associates in Baking Science and Technology. (He’s more likely to deny this when asked about.) A strange boy, no one has ever seen him without his mask. When asked about it by fellow associates he always replies with some variation of “You’re all filthy, and the Sun it hurts my eyes.” Diagnosis from other associates place him with having a serve case of Germaphobia.

It wasn’t long before Theodore had completely set up shop in his own wing of the Institute. The infirmary became his own personal laboratory, eventually forcing other Staff members to relocate. His reasoning was “Too cluttered, can’t finish my projects.” Upon inspection by Senior Staff he had converted the Infirmary into a morgue. Further inspection revealed he had been hiding four cadavers from a nearby cemetery. Claiming that he was “Able to fix them.” Over the next few years his attempts at Necromancy had failed. He was not able to raise the dead, and ended up wasting a lot of the Institute’s medical funds.

Years later his continued forward with his Medical Practice, helping other students make up for their short-comings. He constructed extra limbs for the limbless, enhancements for the weak, and tools to help students harness their “Special Gifts”. This would later become his own “Special Talent” it became apparent that simply gazing upon another living being, he could “Diagnosis” their illness, or shortcomings with out prior knowledge of their Medical History. Their breathing Patterns, the way they walk, and the sound of the voice. He’d know you’d catch a cold before even you did.

This was good enough reason to ask him to undertake a few missions on behalf of the Institute. You’d think that someone skilled in Medicine would be strongly opposed to using their knowledge to do harm. How wrong they had been. Theodore had relished in the idea, of using his skills to cause pain and suffering. What he wouldn’t give to practice on a living subject. The Institute strictly enforced a rule on in house testing. His first few missions were a complete success, people started getting bumped off the roster of “Missing” people began to grow. To say he was anything but successful in his missions would be an understatement.

These events would transpire for a few years, until recently he claimed he had grown “bored” (In reality it was his ASD) of his assignments. He had requested his talents be put to other uses. His keen senses had grown sharper with his age. Now he’s a professional Interrogator. You need information extracted within a timely manner he’ll take care of it. Now we still send him into the field, all be it now mainly for support. He teams up with other members of the Institute to preform a wide array of tasks.

Theodore’s eyes are without a doubt is greatest assets, with out them he would not be who he is today. His sharp sense of intuition, and analysis have made a wonderful doctor. He’s able to determine Past, Present and Future illnesses or Disease. Simply by observing the breathing patterns, body movement and speech patterns. Normally he keeps what he learns about others to himself. Unless he’s able to use it to an advantage in some circumstance. The downside being he refuses to leave his abode during the day. He claims that the light is too bright even with his mask. One previous assassination attempt at a younger age he had been struck by Flash-Bang. He was out of commission for about six weeks.

Enhanced Control


His masterful understanding of the Human body has with out doubt changed him for the better. Walks with a demeanor as it seems that with each step, he remains in full control of all of his actions. Being able to walk without sound, go days without sleep, holding his breath for upwards of twenty minutes. However, with closer observation it seems he disappears to sleep for days on end, His current record is roughly around 137 Hours (Roughly 5 Days). Most likely to allow his body to rest, it appears that pushing himself to these extreme conditions eventually causes him to enter comatose like state for long-periods of time.

Needless to say, a lot of Theodore's methods would be considered unconventional. He's probably have his medical license revoked if the Institute wasn't able to keep his funding under wraps. So I'm sure he's well aware what goes on. Does he care? Not really, he will serve them as long as they continue to fund his medical practices.

Another great character, I love her~ The only problems I see are from her history. Or more so, her brother. I understand she was looking for her brother, but, why? Like, I get that she loves her brother but what was she going to do once she found him? Was she going to take him with her? Just visit? Also how did she react when her brother was brought into the Institute? The Institute is like an academy for killers and thieves and all that good stuff, would she really be fine with him doing all that?

Ezra is an average-sized guy. He stands at 6'0" and has an athletic build. Similar to his sister, he has naturally curly and ginger hair that he keeps at a moderate length. He is pale skinned and has plenty of freckles, though he doesn't enjoy them. His eyes tend to change colour depending on the way you look at them, though they are most commonly blue or blue-green. Ezra's fashion sense is pretty non-existent so he has pretty much one good
outfit, consisting of the only pair of un-ruined jeans he has and a grey tee shirt, that he wears pretty consistently.

Personality
Ezra can be a tricky person to understand. Most of the time, he doesn't seem like much at all. He isn't overly social, but he isn't a loner either. He isn't loud and obnoxious but isn't afraid to speak his mind either. Ezra is rather neutral; a middle of the road kind of guy. Compared to his sister, Ezra is much more relaxed and much less intimidating. He is not known for being frightening or powerful, but is well known for his reliability and levelheadedness. Perhaps he isn't the big guy on the front line, but he can quickly save you in times of trouble. Ezra isn't much of a direct-on fighter and really isn't that confrontational at all. He'll fight if he has to but also recognizes the beauty of simple ways out of a problem. On a social front, Ezra is actually quite friendly despite his introverted nature. He is always a shoulder to cry on and does his best to support others, even when they attempt to push him down.


History
Similar to Juno, Ezra was born into the gang life. Their mother passed away when Ezra was only a few months old from a heroin overdose, leaving Juno to take care of him as best as she could. Much of his early life cannot be remembered and was likely not worth noting anyhow. All of the attention was on Juno, the star child of the gang. She was going to bring them riches and success, Ezra was just going to tag along for the ride.


As he began growing, he began noticing that he could feel changes in the energy around him. It started out as a gut feeling that he couldn't quite pinpoint but eventually grew into a power that he calls kinetics. He began to be able to redirect some of the energy around him to make certain things move or to turn off the lights. He practiced by himself, simply because no one besides Juno seemed to have the time of day to watch his tricks.

When Ezra was eleven, tragedy struck. During the night, the one person he actually cared about was ripped from his life. Juno had been kidnapped and their father seemingly didn't want to do anything about it. Struck with guilt and sadness, Ezra ran away from home. He didn't want to be around a foul man that wanted nothing to do with his own children's safety.

Ezra bounced from place to place, living on the streets for a good while. Shortly after his fourteenth birthday, he attempted to steal cigarettes off of a homeless man who was asleep. The man awoke and began attacking Ezra, who tried desperately to get away. Eventually breaking free of the man's grasp, he made a bolt for the nearest alleyway. That's when he heard a loud gunshot ring through the air. He could feel the bullet tearing through the air, spiraling towards his spine. He was certain this is how he was going to die.

Only the bullet never hit.

Ezra kept running and didn't look back. It wasn't until the next morning that he found out that the man had been shot fatally in the heart- with his own bullet. Eventually, a group of crooked cops found Ezra after investigating footage from a storefront camera. Instead of returning the fugitive to his father, they decided to turn him in to Totem-Ware, where he would be reunited with his sister.

Gifted Ability
Ezra has the gift of what he calls kinetics. He has the ability to manipulate and sense energy of objects and, occasionally, people and living things. He can sense the energy of everything around him. He can tell that a ball is being thrown at him before he can see it, or can sense a punch about to land before he spots the attacker. He mostly uses his sensing ability, especially during combat, since his controlling ability is highly unstable and unpredictable.


Ezra does have the ability to control certain energies, like a bullet coming at him or something being thrown at him. He can divert the energy to change the path of the object or make it stop completely. He can also make certain objects move, depending on the situation. However, unlike his sensing ability which is always there, his controlling ability is more like a reflex and cannot often be called upon on a whim. He must be in immediate danger in order for it to take effect and even then, sometimes it simply doesn't work.

Skills/Abilities
Languages - As a kid, Ezra spent a lot of time studying languages. He had a lot of spare time to himself on his hands and found a passion for the spoken word. Over the years, he has become fluent in English (his native language), Spanish, French, Italian, German, and traditional Japanese.
Lie Detection - Ezra is fairly good at spotting when someone is lying. It has to do with the shift of a person's energy when they're lying.
Music - Ezra is actually a good singer and can often be found singing or humming when he is alone or concentrating. He also plays the guitar and a bit of the piano

- Why did the cops turn him into T.W.? Im assuming they did so because he was a child caught killing someone or something, but why not actually arrest him?

But despite not showing it, Juliet has a gentler side to her that likes to paint. Beneath the make up and vanity she likes to play violin as well and has been taught since she was eight years old. And although they left when she was little, Juliet's family speak fluent Italian in their home.

She wanted to find her brother and attempt to teach him what she learned in the Institute to seek revenge on her father. Neither one of them had a great upbringing so she wanted to get him out of there

appearance. Adelina, with her sharp facial features and pale white skin, is somewhat of an oddity, appearance wise. She is of average height and weight, standing only 5'6 and weighing around 130 pounds, but she is of the ectomorphic body type and doesn't gain either weight or muscle very easy---these combined traits make her appearance extremely skinny, almost gaunt-like. Her skin does have some freckling---it is few and far between---and Adelina has a large scar across her abdomen that she got while she was a child. as for her face, Adelina is often considered to look very odd, at least for the demographics of the institute. With the aforementioned pale skin, her white-blonde hair and the pale blue eyes, Adelina's facial features don't particularly stand out, and she often uses light makeup to fix this problem.

personality. Adelina is a quiet, reserved girl. she prefers to keep to herself, and too many noises or people can make her nervous. it's not like she's mean or rude, she just doesn't like to talk most of the time. Adelina has a good sense of humor though, and making her laugh is one way to get in her good books. She's always had a soft spot for children, so, if she is going to talk to anyone, it's usually the kids that she meets on her missions. This mothering instinct does tend to be applied to older people, but only people she knows well and is comfortable around.

Adelina Yakovlevna was born just a few days after Christmas to 2 loving parents. She was their first, and only, child after many years of trying for one, and they were ecstatic, regardless of the family's growing poverty. Her parents did the best they could for their daughter, but the truth was inevitable: they were growing further and further into debt. In order for the medical conception that Adelina's parents needed, they had to pay money that they didn't have. The family managed to find a solution, but it wasn't until much later that they discovered that their 'saviors' were actually loan sharks, slowing draining away at the moderate wealth they had accumulated over the years. It wasn't before long that Adelina's family was struggling very bad.

Her family tried to escape the loan sharks. Her father begged for a promotion in his company, and her mother picked up another job. But not 5 years after the best moment of their lives, Adelina's mother died, succumbing to a violent brach of lung cancer.

Adelina's father, heartbroken after the loss of his wife, threw everything he had into his job. The loan sharks were still on their backs, and they weren't letting up. Now with less income coming into the house, Adelina and her father moved into a poorer neighborhood in order to save money. The sharks just raised their bills, claiming their own hard times were getting the best of them.

With all of her father's time spent at work, or at a bar, Adelina began to try and provide for herself, even though she was only 8 years old. Food wasn't being brought into the house? She stole from the market. Her father wasn't coming by to come pick her up from school anymore? She could walk, it wasn't that far home. Her clothing was in tatters? Adelina asked her school-friends for hand-me-downs. Whatever the issue, Adelina would find a solution.... at least until the universe decided to punish her father for his negligence.

Human trafficking was a huge problem in Russia's larger cities. It was the fact of the matter and everyone knew that. People would simply carry pepper spray and make sure their doors were locked at night. But no one was looking out for little Adelina, and she was kidnapped on her way home from school one day. She would never see her father again.

The traffickers were nice enough to her. They painted themselves as saviors, claiming that her father had sold Adelina for money and that they were going to take her to a better family in the United States. She was eventually given the name 'Sophia from them. It would take many years for her to realize that she had simply been kidnapped.

Along with the 5 other children with her, Adelina was taken to a US orphanage. From there, she picked up English and was 'adopted' after only 4 months.

Adelina lived with her new family for a few years after the orphanage. They were kind, surely not knowing what had gone on behind the scenes. They just thought that she was a little orphan girl from Russia. Although, it wasn't like Adelina knew much of what happened either. She was just told to keep her mouth shut unless she wanted bad things to happen.

No one raised many eyebrows until things started to go wrong with Adelina around her 16th birthday. It all started with dry skin. It was always itchy, but Adelina, now called Sophia, just chalked it up to the cold weather. Then she had to start wearing jackets 24/7 because she was always cold. Her parents were confused, but did nothing.

It wasn't until she passed out and landed in the hospital that her parents became concerned. The doctors had never seen anything like it before. No matter what they did, things about Adelina just weren't right. It wasn't long before the Institute became metaphorically knocking. They manage to convince her parents to let her attend, under the guise of some sort of high-end academy, despite her vocal protests.

Unsurprisingly, the Institute was nothing like what the officials told her parents. During the summer, Adelina tried to leave many times, yet to no avail. Now, she has mostly accepted her fate, and is curious as to what they can teach her, even though she is still cautious.

On the opposite side, her sight is pretty bad. It's nothing that can be fixed by human means--it's caused by her genetics---so Adelina typically uses her other senses to 'see' far away things.

It resides in small amounts in her sweat and other body fluids, but if she wants to apply a potent dose, she'll have to bite; Adelina's fangs are where the most venom is collected. This venom is quite strong; a bite will paralyze someone in minutes and kill them in hours, while the venom in her blood and on her skin will make people feel tingly if it gets on them (think pufferfish). This ability is often dangerous, because, while she can control it when unstressed, Adelina will unconsciously active it when she's nervous as a way of protection.

Adelina relies on outside sources to get heat, and she will become sluggish and weak otherwise. Her room is filled with heaters, and wearing sweaters is an almost everyday occurrence.

Oooooh ok I absolutely love her! Honestly one of my favorite sheets so far. Although I don't really understand why she was sent to the US. She was kidnapped by the loan sharks, right? And then they told her she was going to a new family. But she was sent to an orphanage first? Is the orphanage like a dark organiation that takes forign kids from other countries? Also, what was her reaction to it all? I understand she was told to keep quiet but I'm sure she wouldn't have just been fine with it, she was a child, wouldn't she have cried? Or shown some sort of sadness or anger?

Ight I love her as well~ Although a problem comes in with her backstory.
- For one, where are her parents? Family? Literally anything or anyone?
- What reason does she have for being so violent? Or is that just reflective of the world she grew up in?
- Please have her start from Year 0, not Year 1
- Remove the part about the puppy being killed, it doesn't really make sense. Like, why is this guy just in the back harassing a puppy? Why does she care? Why does that make her fight back? I think I can see why you added it, but it just seems really unnecessary when she could just have easily determined that she didn't want to die, without having to add in the dead puppy part.
- Why was she not arrested after killing the ones who beat her? On that note, it seems she turned the ground itself into sand but sand transfiguration isnt one of her listed abilities,
- Lastly, Totem rarely goes out and directly recruits people. They rather more so like kidnapping them instead, they only recruit experienced assassins, and that's as like teachers and staff.

I decided to actually (loosely) base Adelina's story off of something that I learned about a few days ago. The mother of one of my grandparents' family friends was actually involved in this 'orphanage' in the early 20th century that would kidnap children and then 'loan' them out to families. It was called the Tennessee Children's Home Society and, when taken there, all kids were given new names. These children would be placed into new families, but, because of the illegality of the situation, the children were never actually adopted. The mother of our family friend was given the name Sally, and her son never knew she was one of these children until the name 'Sally' wasn't on her gravestone. Honestly, it was all so soap-opera-ish and I was intrigued.

I decided to go with Russia as her home country because it has one of the highest human trafficking rates in the world, and then the US because people in the US are a lot more likely and willing to adopt than other places. It's a first world country, and the kidnappers would have a larger market to sell to. So, no, I didn't intend for the loan sharks to be the kidnappers, I think they were just involved in the mess that led up to Adelina's kidnapping. I didn't even see that you could look at it that way!

As for her reaction... I feel like she would have cried some, but, because the kidnappers were so nice to her (they wanted to make a profit after all - can't exactly do that with 'damaged' goods), she would've believed them when they said she had been sold, especially after all of the neglect her father put her through. I don't plan on writing Adelina as a stupid character, but, as you said, she was only just a child here. She was probably was upset at first, I mean, who wouldn't be? But that sadness would quickly turn to anger, anger towards her father and all of the things he had done. They had grown apart over the three or so years since her mother's death. She would want to be adopted into a loving family ASAP, never knowing that she was being played like a fiddle.

I hope this clears some stuff up! I can always explain more if something doesn't seem right. I honestly think I was just getting tired of writing towards the end of her bio, so I may have left some gaps on accident!

eeeh, for real??? Wow that's crazy, something like that actually happened... Well basing the character off of a real life event is even better, adds more flavor to her as a whole. Also I love the choice of having her from russia, hope she still holds a bit of her accent too. And yep, that pretty much clears up everything, you're good to go! I'll have the in character up by either today or tomorrow, gonna give more people a chance to join.
