Realistic or Modern Together Again

Sophia couldn't help but chuckle at Amaya's overreaction. "I'm sure he's fine," she repeated. After a while, she asked Ryu, "How long did they say the wait was for a table?"

Aleck finally arrived at the restaurant. He went ahead of the two who was supposed to be in front of them, finding them to be too slow for his comfort. When he arrived, he saw Ryu, Sophia and Amaya already there, as well as some other guy which he did not know of, but Ryu seems to know him. He parked beside Ryu. "What's up." He said as he walked up to them, but he did not expect them to chat with him. If he have learned anything in the past few years, it's that you don't want to set your expectations very high, because the fall will hurt a lot.

Noticing Aleck walk through the crowd.Amaya ran up and hugged him. "Hey you! I have been meaning to give you a hug for a while now" she said in a joyful laugh. Stepping back she motioned to Ryu, Zach, and Sophia. "We are all waiting for the others now." Looking back at Aleck and smile was on her face. Well I mean if you could see it past the hood, base ball cap, and glasses it was full of joy. "So how have you been?"

Sent from my sea dragon using rainbows and coconuts. :P

"Oh, hey, Aleck," Sophia said when she saw him. She flashed him a friendly smile. "We're just waiting for the others, and then I guess we'll go eat."

Archer nodded subtly at her reply, it wasn't what he was hoping for, but the fact that she was willing to try was more than enough to satisfy his worries. "Trying is enough." He muttered quietly as she pulled away. Tearing his gaze away for a moment, he unlatched the key from the ignition and pocketed it before unlocking the doors. Aleck had finally arrived, it seemed and the rest of the group seemed to be ready to head inside. "We should probably catch up with them too." He smiled softly before opening his door and sliding out of the driver's seat, awaiting Yui to do the same as he shut the door.

He was really surprised when Amaya hugged him. Out of all the others, it was her hug that he really wanted. "Hey Aya." He said, calling her by the nickname he gave her. She had been his childhood crush, and it seems that she still is until now. "Um, how's life? Your band is pretty awesome by the way." He said, opening his phone and showing her that his library is full of her music.

Yui took a moment to dab her eyes, hopping no one would notice that her eyes where puffy and red. She reached a slender hand out to the door, her hand pulling on the door handle. Hearing the door pop open, she pushed outward, she stepped down onto the asphalt, the air hitting her like a brick wall. She shuttered, shutting the door and walking towards the rest of the people.

"Hey, Yui," Sophia greeted her, glad that everyone had finally arrived. She paid no notice to Yui's weak condition. Sophia was too hungry to think about much besides the great food they were about to eat.

Yui waved, looking off to the side. She was glad that so far no one had decided to point out how frail and week she looked, for it would have crushed her. She fiddled with her sleeves, making sure they where all the way down.

Finally, Sophia noticed how uncomfortable Yui looked. She considered asking if she was all right, but she always hated when people asked her about her wheelchair situation. If I wanted to talk about it, I would be talking about it! She figured the same idea applied to Yui's situation, so Sophia kept quiet.

The buzzer buzzed in Ryu's hand. "Alright, who's ready to eat?" he asked, stomach growling. He noticed Yui's uncomfortable expression but decided not to ask. It was a tense night, and he wanted them to loosen up. After all, they were friends for a long time.

I am a dolphin.

"I'm always ready to eat," Sophia said. She wheeled herself toward the door. She grinned wildly at the thought of finally eating.

Catching up with the rest of the group shortly after Yui, Archer made it just by the time the buzzer in Ryu's hand buzzed -for whatever reason. Playing it off as if nothing happened just a few seconds ago, Archer smiled as brightly as he could as he raised his arm in vote. "This guy." It couldn't have been further from the truth. Honestly, sushi had to be the bottom of his favorite foods list. But he opted against complaining since everyone else seemed up for it.
