Ashlynn had stood beside the king the entire time during the speech. The announcement for him to step down surprised her, but she hoped the new king would keep the trade between kingdoms. She was actually excited to kill the nature Titan. With its magic returned to the world, her people would be able to thrive and spread once again. After the announcement, she took the king aside. "My king... Do you even have a predecessor? If you can't pass the stick down to someone then the kingdom will be in ruins." she said a bit worried. She did not want to see anything bad happen here, as she did like the seraphs. "And if you tell me it is one of those damn paladins you are signing the kingdoms death contract." she said seriously.

He looked at her. "Of course not, dear Ashlynn. I made a terrible mistake in waking those gods, and I'll not make another. I can't trust the Feathers to even exorcise a demon, let alone have the leader run the country. Sir Avery was asked about 6 months ago, but he said he doesn't want that much responsibility." The king wasn't done. He pulled out a picture. The woman looked like a seasoned warrior. A savage that looked like she'd kill before she'd talk. "I have another that I've been training for for years, a viking woman who is very skilled with axes and the sword. The only one she can't defeat is Sir Avery. Even my round table that includes Sir Avery approves of her. Her last test, however, is this Grand Campaign. She'll be accompanying you all and helping."
The woman stepped forward. "Hello, Lady Ashlynn. My name is Ariel Scimone, known by some as Goldilocks. Very nice to meet you." She was armed with nothing but a dagger, but the more notable feature was a bear following, really little, but big enough to carry her. Probably a juvenile. She rubbed the bear and leaned on it. She was sporting leather armor with fur instead of the typical metal knight's armor
"Goldilocks here has been trained for years in diplomacy, she was an ambassador for the peace talks with the orcs and helped establish trade relations with the elves, and knows the woes of the common man. She's almost ready to take the reigns as queen."
"You flatter me, Your Highness. I just aim to serve and hope to best Sir Avery in battle." She held out her hand for Ashlynn to shake. "I'm not as bloodlusty as I look."
