Futuristic Those That are Hunted

"Not really." he said and moved away from the door, sitting back down in his corner. He hadn't gotten good sleep last night and wanted to be ready in case Hayden decided to show up. He truly didn't care about Alpha's past. He decided to view the people for who they were now, not who they once were. Except if the past defined them too much. In that case it didn't. She was the most innocent, cheery and genial little thing, untouched by the claws of the government that basically turned every heart to stone. "If you have nothing else to do, you might as well bring me something to eat." he said calmly. It was worth a try.

When Amelie left solitary she headed for her office. Being in her agents uniform she was as ready as she could be for battle. There were people scurrying about, trying to get as many things done before the inevitable happened. As she walked through people tried their best to move aside and not get in her way. It was a good thing too because she felt that if one more thing went wrong she was going to snap. Luckily no one ran into her so once she reached her office she closed her door. Opening one of her drawers she pulled out a pony tail and put her hair in a loose bun. After that she called the receptionist to tell her not to send anyone her way. As she sat down in her chair, she summoned a fox on her lap and started petting it. It made he think of Alpha and she hoped the girl was ok.

Larassa cocked her head at Vulcan, her grin quickly disappearing. He was no fun with mind games. Still, Larassa wasn't one to feed anyone in solitary, within their first three days of arrival unless told otherwise. "I don't think so. I wasn't told you were to be fed, so tough luck." This said, Larassa then shut the slip that allowed any communications between her and Vulcan. Perhaps he'd be more fun to deal with once he was weakened by the lack of food and water. Turning on her heel, Larassa then left the solitary confinement area, heading towards the chow hall to get some food. After all, she'd only just returned from her trip.

"Tucker.." Kytha let more tears fall. "Tucker.. The reason I'm doing this is because I care about you. I don't want to hurt you again. I can't be near you because..." She trailed off. Her voice was raspy by the end. She had to say it. "Because I love you damn it!" Her heart sunk. "If I caused you to die I couldn't live with myself."

Tucker furrowed his brows at Kytha, listening to everything she said. When she confessed that she loved him though, Tucker was floored. After a moment of silence, Tucker closed his gaping mouth and then his facial expression softened, some of the color returning to his face. Meeting Kytha's eyes, Tucker then said, "Kytha, everyone gets hurt at some point in their lives. That's inevitable." Pausing, Tucker then gently took Kytha's chin in his grasp and forced her to meet his eyes. Without thinking twice, Tucker then said, "Ky, if you leave me again then that'll be a fate worse than death itself for me." Tucker took his free hand and carefully wiped the tears off of Kytha's face before adding in a soft and gentle tone, "I need you, Ky." Feeling extremely vulnerable, Tucker took a deep breath and then added, "I can't live in this world with everything going to hell around me. But when I'm with you...you're my light in the darkness, okay?" Tucker's eyes watched Kytha carefully, desperately searching for a sign that she wasn't going to leave him. That her confession rang true and she truly meant what she said.

Again, it was worth a try. Vulcan was glad she was gone and at the same time frustrated. He had actually hoped she would come in his cell so he could stab her in the eye or slit her throat with the razor sharp scalpel. He lay and curled up on the ground to preserve body heat, placing his hands under his head to shield at least that from the cold and dirt. He still hadn't even cut his hair but he couldn't allow anyone to know of the existence of the scalpel. The darkness in the room soon helped him fall asleep but he couldn't really sleep well. He was thinking of all the people dear to him. The image of Hayden appeared a couple of times as well like a stupid jump scare. But he simply couldn't get him out of his mind.

Kytha couldn't bare looking at him. Her gaze left him, her heart bursting at the seams. Her gaze shifted to him momentarily. Her eyes filled with pain. His words hit her like arrows. "I'm scared tucker. I'm so scared." She leaned forwards and placed her head on his chest. "Promise me you won't leave me alone."

Tucker slowly wrapped his arms around Kytha, as he held her close to him and leaned his head on top of hers. Whispering to her to avoid anyone overhearing them, Tucker then said, "I promise, Ky. I'm not going anywhere." Thinking to himself, Tucker realized that the agency wasn't just going to let him wander freely and weren't they about to take Kytha back to solitary? His heart went into his throat at this and he closed his eyes before silent tears began rolling down his face at the realization that they were about to be separated yet again.

Kytha didn't want to think about going in to solitary again. She would fight them to the death before she had to leave him again. "Can we just run away and hide? I don't want to be seperated from you." She wished they'd just let her stay with him. But not after what they did. They'd never let them near each other, especially if she knew Amelie. Who still wanted her dead...

Tucker frowned, still holding Kytha in an embrace. How would they just run away though? The defense dome was up. There was no where to run. He couldn't let Kytha be taken from him again though. No, he'd go to solitary with her if he had to. Tucker whispered to Kytha, "If we run, they'll stop us. We can't run forever, Ky." He didn't want to sound so depressing, but it was the truth. Where would they go?

Kytha knew he was right. There wasn't any escape. Unless... "Hayden." Her mumble barely audible. Her mind swirled at what Vulcan had said. Everything began turning and ideas began running through her head

Tucker didn't hear what Kytha mumbled, but he knew she said something since he was embracing her and felt her move her mouth at least. Slowly and gently, Tucker pushed Kytha back form his embrace so he could look at her face again. Coking his head to the side, Tucker then raised an eyebrow and asked her in a whisper, "What is it, Ky?"

"Hayden's coming here. He will kill everyone. Unless I can stop him. But they'll never let me out. If I can get out, I can break out everyone from the outside. Is it worth a try? I don't want to fail and be driven away from you but what other choice do we have?" Her eyes were still as she looked into his. "I won't do it if you don't want me to."

Tucker somberly nodded at Kytha when she finished speaking. He didn't like it one bit, but he'd stay by Kytha's side the whole time and defend her against this Hayden if it came to it. Of course, there was still the question of how they would even get outside of the prison with the defenses up. And even if they got past the defenses, how would they find this Hayden guy? Frowning slightly, Tucker then cocked his head at Kytha before asking her, "How do you plan on even getting past the defenses? They're designed to keep us in." Tucker then had an idea though. He'd done it once before, but it had worked brilliantly. If he could get far enough away from the dome barrier, then run at it at full speed, Tucker could very well punch a hole through it. If that didn't work though, he'd most likely end up shattering the bones in his hand and his whole arm leading up to the shoulder. He could even paralyze his arm if he failed. It was still an option though. The frown soon left Tucker's face, as he then voiced this option, saying, "You know, if I get enough speed built up, I could sprint at the dome barrier and punch a hole through it." There was no need to worry Kytha with the possible downsides to it. The chance of escape was too great to ignore...but Tucker would need to get the handcuffs off first. They didn't restrict his whole power, but he'd be in immense pain using his gift and it would most certainly refrain him from succeeding in punching that hole.

Kytha looked at him. "We wait for Hayden. He can get in here and as soon as he does, I will be right there. I'd rather you not possibly paralyze your arm if you don't get enough speed. I don't need to hear you say it to know it."

Tucker blinked in surprise at Kytha's response. He hadn't thought that she'd figure that out so quickly. Hearing that they had to wait for Hayden, Tucker let out a sigh. That definitely meant that they'd try to separate Tucker and Kytha. Knowing Kytha, she'd put up a fight the whole time and only end up complicating matters further. Hoping she'd listen to his reasoning, Tucker looked at Kytha and then gently put his hands on her shoulders to make sure she was listening to him. "Ky, they're going to come soon and separate us." Pausing, Tucker then added, "Don't fight them. Let them take you. If we want to be smart about this, then we need to let them think that they're winning. If we fight until Hayden shows up, we give away everything and only make things that much harder for us to accomplish in the end." Tucker looked imploringly into Kytha's eyes, practically begging her to be docile just until they could make their first move. The one thing Tucker hadn't voiced was that they'd be keeping him under close watch until the scientists were finished with making his new suit. Tucker had no doubt there'd be at least one GA with him at all times until further notice.

"Tucker I need to stay out of the cells until he gets here. The py won't let me out once he's in. I can't stay docile and watch him kill everyone maybe even you. This time, I have to deal with this alone. Please just trust me." Her voice was calm. She knew it had to be done and that was that.

Tucker shook his head stubbornly. He couldn't just leave Kytha to try and fend off all the guards and GAs while he was stuck in his own cell, twiddling his thumbs. "Ky, how do you expect to stay out of the cells and just wait for Hayden to show up? They won't stop trying to capture you and they've already exhibited once that they're more than capable of doing such a thing. If she kept refusing to listen to him, Tucker was more than willing to suffer the pain from his handcuffs in a last ditch effort to get Kytha somewhere safe and deep within the prison, where nobody could find her. Tucker wasn't sure where exactly that could be, but anywhere would be safer than on the surface.

"Tucker. I will talk to Amelie. Reason with her. If not, I will outrun them and hide until I hear him. I can't keep letting people die in his hands." She began to get a little mad. She needed to do this. For herself, for everyone.

Tucker sighed, but didn't relent. He wasn't leaving Kytha's side in the midst of all of this. "Fine, talk to her. But you can't outrun them on your own. They've already seen what you're fully capable of with our last escape attempt." Tucker then stood up from the edge of the bed finally, stretching a bit before looking down at Kytha and saying, "I'm not leaving your side, Ky." It then finally hit Tucker that he didn't have a shirt on. Blushing at this realization, Tucker then ran a hand through his hair before saying with a nervous grin, "I should probably locate a T-shirt before we do anything hasty though."

Kytha sighed at his sigh "Fine." When he mentioned he didn't have a shirt and began blushing, she smirked. "Nothing to be ashamed of. But, probably a good idea." She began blushing as well. She had hugged a half naked man.

Hearing Kytha's response to his remark about needing a T-shirt, Tucker rolled his eyes. He almost considered telling her in the moment that she was actually the first girl who he'd let hug him the way she had, but he decided against it. Now was certainly not the best time for him to be trying to flirt with Kytha. The injured agent was asleep at this point, but Tucker still felt a bit awkward since they weren't completely alone just yet. Glancing around the room, Tucker soon spotted a wardrobe labeled 'Spare Clothing'. Walking away from Kytha for the moment, Tucker opened the wardrobe and grabbed the nearest T-shirt, which was a plain grey color, and then slipped it on. Turning back to face Kytha, Tucker was surprised to see her blushing. Smirking at her, Tucker walked up to her before cocking his head at her and asking, "Now, what could you possibly be so embarrassed about, Ky?"

Vulcan couldn't sleep. That was just impossible. He was in a cold, stinky, dirty, uncomfortably dark and most of all - tiny place. He may have lived in the streets for a hell lot of time, then in that cold basement of the gas station but they couldn't quite be compared to this thing. He paced through his cell. What hasn't he tried so far? Perhaps his greatest concern weren't the handcuffs. The cuffs would be easy to remove - just press some agent's watch to them - as easy as that. He had to get through the door. He crouched in front of the door and examined the scanner. Same bolts as the handcuffs. He wouldn't be able to remove the panel and cut the wires. Of course. They wouldn't make it so easy so that a prisoner with a simple scalpel could get it open. But maybe he could attract someone's attention. Make someone open the door for him. From there, he could make his escape. The camera perhaps? He stood up and looked at the thing. A fisheye camera with a nice thick protective lens, no blindspots, no visible cables. Vulcan had managed to tear it off back them because he had managed to puncture the lens and tear it off. When it was in his hands he had remembered that there was a tube, where the cables were hidden in so breaking through the wall wouldn't work so well. But maybe he could break through the glass after all. Kytha had managed to break through Tucker's suit disk with that scalpel even with her handcuffs on. Everything was worth a try when he was in this position. He could only hope it wouldn't be Amelie who came to see what was going on. He needed a guard, hell, even Larassa. (Poor bastard doesn't know what she's capable of.) He pulled the scalpel out of his pocket, positioning it comfortably in his hand, then gave the camera the finger before ramming the scalpel in it. It left a crack in it but the tip of the scalpel was stuck in it nevertheless. Now this would surely attract their attention. He pushed the scalpel sideways, creating more cracks so that the guards sitting behind it wouldn't see so clearly, then pulled it off. He needed to keep his improvised weapon sharp and in one piece. Then he simply stood in front of the door, waiting.

The phone in Amelie's office started to ring. She asked not to be disturbed so of course someone I going to be calling her. "What?" She asked as she picked up the phone. "I know you didn't want to be disturbed but there is a problem in solitary." ~What the hell could I be now.~ "Vulcan managed to damage the camera." Amelie felt a growl escape her lips. If this is how he wanted to act, then fine. She was going to talk to the chief and ask for a favor but he ruined thst chance. "Send in Larassa." "By miss," "That's an order." There was a pause. "Yes ma'am." The receptionist voice was soft. Amelie then hung up the phone. Once she did she felt her eyes water up instantly. Why did this have to happen to her? ~No, I can't cry. Can't show weakness with a battle looming over our shoulders.~ The one man she actually opened her heart up and showed her most held kept secret (Alec) to is now going to have to deal with their most ferocious itnerigator. If she just let him get away with it, she could get into trouble as well. Her fox shattered in her lap as she started crying silent tears.

The receptionist sent a message to Larassa watch saying she was needed in solitary for Vulcan. That he broke the camera in his room.

kytha blushed harder when he asked why she was embarrassed. "oh it's nothing. just me being weird." she walked up to him and looked up at him before throwing a hand up to ruffle his hair. "You really are adorable."

(sorry for all the short answers lol my brain is dead today.)
