Futuristic Those That are Hunted

(Proxy!! :3)

When nothing happened, Kytha pulled out her knife and began knife-drawing on the wall. She sang all the while singing her favorite songs which were generations old like, good life, chalk outline, pain, and never too late, all by Three Days Grace.

Amelie jumped at the sound of someone talking over her com. She took a breath before answering. "Not at the moment. Just take the rest of the day off to relax. It's been a long day. And Richter, don't feel bad about what you did. It was the right call." She turned her com off, not wanting someone to talk to her for she was going to go in the the room to comfort Vulcan. She quietly opened the door to the medical room. The only noise she heard was the beeping of the monitors. Closing the door she walked over to Vulcan, taking a quick glance at Tucker. ~Seems like they stitched him up.~ Once she was next to Vulcan her eyes trailed over Xander's body. Covered in bandages, with machines attatched to him. He looked so peaceful. To her, this was better than him being up and dealing with the healing process. He would have be in pain all the time for a while, even with Alpha's healing. Unfortunently for them, said healer was going to be leaving in a few hours. The higher ups wanted her out of the danger zone and Amelie couldn't agree more even though they really needed her help.

Amelie crouched down next to Vulcan and put a soft hand on his arm, afraid kf hurting him sinc eshe couldnt see all of his wounds. He looked like a wreck and she didn't know what she could do to help. "Vulcan," She began, he voice soft, I"He will be alright. He will wake up again." ~Hopefully.~

Vulcan noticed Amelie entering the room but didn't pay her any attention, didn't even look at her. Even when she touched his hand he didn't move. Her ensuring words didn't help him feel better either. "It's all my fault." he murmured quietly. "It all started with me taking pity in some ordinary salesgirl. I gave Kytha the idea for a rebellion. Hell, Hayden should have killed me back then. All of this wouldn't have happened." he said in a raspy voice, his mouth too dry for him to speak properly. "And Xander, he sucked up the flames because I was the only one still trapped inside. I should have died in that fire." he mumbled and covered his face with his hands. "Why do you even love me? A coward, a weakling, a liar? You deserve better." he said finally and stood up, walking past her and heading towards the door. There was nothing for him to do in that room.

Before Amelie had a chance to say anything Vulcan got up and started walking away. She stood back up and ran after him. This time when she put her hand on his arm she gripped it hard pulling on him to try and get him to stop moving. "You did nothing wrong. You took pity on a girl that needed your help. If I had chosen another route in my life I would have done the same thing and because of what you did I got to meet you. Yes our first encounter wasn't the best but I was doing my job and you were protecting her." Amelie was trying to stay calm but this side of Vulcan scared her in a way and she didn't know how to deal with it. "Xander, he... he did what he did to protect you and Larassa." ~ Though I don't think he knew about Larassa.~ "You are his best friend, of course he is going to protect you." She paused for a moment. His last words played through her mind and there was a strong pain in her chest. She didn't just love anyone. "How do I love you?" Her voice was low and sounded like she was going to cry, which at this point she probably was. "You know, I could say the same thing. When you met me I had my heart shut off to the world. My personality mached my gift and the only one I cared for was my brother and father, one of which left this world because of someone who chose the same path in life as I, and yet you chose to come with me and eventually be with me." Amelie didn't even attempted to stop the silent tears that began to fall. "You had no alternative motive for being with me like the rest did. You just wanted to protect me and care for me, the right way and god knows why you did but I liked it. I didn't know what love was till you came into my life, and I have changed because of it." She stopped and released her grip on him, wiping her tears. "You cannot blame yourself for any of this. You cannot put yourself in a world of self pity. How do you think I feel? I'm supposed to keep these agents safe and I obviously failed at that. So don't you dare think you're the the only one who feels that way but I'm not going to walk around sulking because of it." She pointed her finger at xander. "He wouldn't have wanted that."

When Amelie jumped after him and gripped his hand, he just wanted to push her away. But when she started talking, it made him stop and listen. He avoided her eyes and looked towards the door. He knew he couldn't resist her gaze. When she released her grip on his arm and then soon after pointed at Xander, Vulcan turned his head around and followed her hand, looking over at his friend. She was right. He wouldn't have wanted this. Xander had always been there to keep the bond between the three of them stable. And now that he was gone, it was breaking apart. He wouldn't want this to happen. And Amelie was right about something else as well. He couldn't run around, blaming himself for what he had done in the past. He couldn't let it define him. He had to look at the bigger picture and live in the present, not in the past. And who knew, Xander might eventually wake up. There was a very slight chance that he would, but the two of them couldn't just give up on him and act like he was dead. Vulcan turned around and wiped the tears off Amelie's cheeks, taking her in his arms. There was nothing else to be said. They both needed this. This revelation and support. They couldn't give up on each other for that made them stronger. Hayden was wrong. Wrong about everything. Love and friendship wasn't a weakness. It was power. The greatest power of all.

Hayden laid down on his bed, staring at the ceiling. He turned the TV on, then switched the channel to "Spotify TV". An interactive screen showed with multiple categories and genres of music, he hovered his hand and pointed at the Chill Mood category on the TV. Soft and smooth music started to fill the quiet room and Hayden continued to look at the ceiling. He left out a soft breath then began to clasp his titanium bracelet with the concrete wall, following the beat of the music. He smirked and chuckled softly, as he did so, he remembered his happy memories when he still worked for the government. He'd invite his team for a drink at a local bar then tell jokes, sometimes he could just go for a walk outside at a local cafe. Those were the glory days, when he used to laugh the hardest in their squad and could still focus on the mission more seriously than the others. But the past has long gone, people call him a monster now... a killer... a psychopath. He didn't ask for this kind of life, but he had always thought that it was for the best. Thinking he could sacrifice innocent lives and even his friends for the greater good, it always ended up with him sacrificing himself to madness and corruption. He never had the greed for riches, nor had the sense of liberty... he just wanted to escape his crimes and believe he could start a better life... it never worked out the way he wanted it to.

Today, he admits that he was consumed by anger and dominated by deception. Yet he still needs to escape it. He stood up as the words came out of his lips, "Ragnavir."

He remembered the time when he sneaked out of the house to track where his father went. Hayden followed the tracks into the deep forest behind their village and saw his father in an abandoned meditating area in the woods. He watched his father as he performed a strange meditating technique, his father knelt down and raised leveled his hand up on his neck then continued to block a pressure point on the neck which made his father collapse. It wasn't until now that Hayden figured it was a meditating method to contact Ragnavir... or so he thought.

He followed his dad's method. Then, he collapsed...

Amelie flinched when his hand went up to her face, what she didn't expect was his soft touch as he wiped her tears away. She was used men being 'above her' just because they were men. In the agency it was a big thing among the older members who ran it, and in this situation she was expecting something harsher. When he pulled her into an embrace she leaned into him and wrapped her arms around him, sighing in content. "I need you now more than ever, Vulcan. Everything I worked for starting to crumble and I want to be able too salvage this. Despite how I may act, I do need someone to lean on." Xander was someone important to her, she wouldn't say she would rely on him in the way she does with Vulcan, but he was still a good friend and agent. Unfortunately for her though, she had no control over whether or not she can save him, and as much as it hurt her to think this, if he didn't make it out she would get over it if Vulcan was beside her. Amelie was used to allies dying around her. Xander may be someone she calls a friend and it may take longer for her to get over his death, but she would get over it.

(I will post Alpha's stuff when I get home again. Also would it be too op is Alec could hack into the system to talk to Piper even if it was just through the tv?)

Vulcan was glad Amelie didn't push him away after what he had said to her. He just wanted the best for her, even if that meant sacrificing his love for her. Or life for that matter. Amelie cared for him, while there was a lot more at stake. Her position as the next chief was at stake and there was no fitting candidate. But if him staying with her was what she wanted and needed, he would do it. "I need you too." he murmured quietly as he tightened his grip a bit on her before quickly loosening it up again. He could never forget about his strength. He was still looking towards Xander's bed but now definitely felt more relaxed with Amelie by his side compared to previously when he was all by himself. Vulcan wasn't going to give up on them both - neither on their relationship, nor on Xander's life. He didn't want to be the weakling and coward he had described himself as. He wouldn't just sit in a corner and weep of how horrible the world was. "Thank you... for everything you've done and said. And for being here. I appreciate it." he said with as much confidence as he could gather at the moment.

Amelie pulled back a bit to look up at him and smiled. "What kind of girlfriend would I be if I didn't." She paused for a moment debating if she wanted to say something. "I'm sorry Vulcan, but I need to take care of something. I don't want to leave you alone but...Alpha is supposed to b leaving soon and I need to get her ready. You can come with me if you want. Sh would want to see you before she goes." Amelie released her hold on him. She was procrastinating talking to the chief. She didn't want to deal with that lecture yet.

Alec woke up to his stomach growling. It was only the afternoon but he didn't at much before falling asleep. Before getting up, he looked through the cameras to try and find the boy again. When h did not Alec grew sad and then angry, slamming his fist into the desk. He hated this. Hated staying on the sideline just so his sister could protect him. He could take car of himself, he as a grown man who can hack into practically anything. Alec Glass technically didn't even exist anymore. Amelie wanted him to do that so he people wouldn't go after him because of her. I'm done with this though. Hiding in the shadows. Alec wanted to help others and his gift would come in handy with that. He would b able to tell if a person was gifted before he/she even knew. He remembered the first time it happened. Unlike what he told his sister, Alec was the first of the two to get his gift. Seeing that icy blue glow around her scared him at first, but once he started talking to his ghost friends, he knew what it was. Now he could use that gift to help hide those of his kind, plus with his skills he would b able to hide them well.

"First things first. Need to get into contact with that girl from earlier. Piper." His stomach rumbled again. "OK first thing first, get food." He got up and walked up to the ground floor of his house. The sun shinning through the windows blinded him till his eyes adjusted. In the kitchen he put toast in the toaster and ate it. Going back down into the basement he decided to go to the bathroom first. While washing his hands he looked in the mirror and saw the dark shadows that were almost always underneath his eyes. His dreams weren't always the best so he tended not to sleep a lot and this was the result of that. He splashed water on his face to wake him up a bit more before heading to the basement. H cracked his knuckles and started typing. A black screen popped up on one of his monitors and he started coding. It took him a few hours to get into the prison's systems. He knew exactly where he would have taken Piper. Someone like her would have gone into That place. He didn't know where that place was since eh could never stay in the system long enough to find out but what he was doing now was a lot easier. When he pressed enter the monitor next to his coding one turned on to the view of a cell. One of which Piper was in. He was kind of confused as to why he was in this corner of the cell and when he couldn't turn the screen he found out why. He was in the tv not the cameras. His camera on his side was on so the view of him was playing through her screen. "Piper? Piper can you hear me?" He doubted she could so he sent a message on the tv saying what he said.

When Amelie pulled away, Vulcan shifted his gaze from Xander to her, a tiny smile on his face. "I'd gladly accompany you if you two would have me." he said. Besides, Vulcan would want to do some research to know what they were actually dealing with. He had heard that people in coma were able to hear what was going on around them and the two of them lovebirds had caused enough drama in that room already.

Amelie took his hand and lead him to the sleeping quarters. It was eerily quiet in the building. Most likely people were relaxing in their rooms. The only ones working should be people guarding the prisoners. Walking up to Alpha's door, she released her grip on his hand and knocked lightly on Alpha's door. "Alpha, it's time to get up." She opened the door, never locking it from before, and entered the room. Alpha was still curled up under the sheets, asleep. Amelie walked up to the side of the bed and sat down next to the girl. "Alpha, you need to get ready to go." She ran her hand through Alpha's hair. The girl stirred at Amelie's touch and groaned. "I don't wanna get up." Amelie smiled. "Vulcan is here too you know." At that, Alpha rolled over and then sat up. Amelie felt and little insulted that Alpha wouldn't get up for her but did for Vulcan. "I wasn't expecting you to be here. I thought you'd be resting in the medical bay." She rubbed her eyes and yawned. Amelie bit her bottom lip but didn't say anything.

Hayden woke up in the place he expected he would be, Ragnavir. The realm seemed to change in appearance and... color... literally. He used to be spawned standing on a floating shattered terrain, now, he stands on a landscape rich with the touch of green. Fields and flowers were everywhere, the sky was so colorful and the breezes of air felt so relaxing. "Now, this is paradise..." He said to himself as he spotted a cabin not far and walked towards it. "Hayden! You're just in time for our "Fiesta Grande" here in Ragnavir!" A very familiar voice called out. He turned to the voice and saw his grandfather, Jared Pierce, sitting on a rocking chair. "Grandpa!" He exclaimed and ran to his grandfather, hugging him tight.

Jared chuckled and took a look at Hayden. "You've grown strong, Hayden." He said with a smile. "Come on! You can help prepare for the Fiesta! With Sara and Keegan!" He added as he patted Hayden's back. "Wait, Mom and Dad are here?" Hayden asked excitedly. "Yes, we are, Hayden." His father, Keegan walked out of the cabin and looked at his son. "Dad..." Hayden retorted.

"How did you get here? In Ragnavir? We were going to contact you in your realm five days later. We're not ready for the feast yet." His father asked. "Hey, we'll talk about this in dinner, okay?" His mom, Sara, jumped in the conversation with her typical spatula. "Mom!" Hayden was so happy today in Ragnavir. A lot of good things happened in Ragnavir. Their family talked it over dinner and it turns out that now Vulcan rejected Death's contract, Death has no physical connection towards the Last Pierce, and because of that, Ragnavir is out of any debts. Now it's a fully restored paradise and every Pierce in Ragnavir is shouting out to Hayden Pierce.

Vulcan let himself being dragged to the dorms, standing next to her to attract less unwanted attention. Not that anyone could see. Most of the staff and agents were either busy fixing the damage dealt to the plaza or resting. When they reached Alpha's room, Vulcan followed Amelie inside and leaned on the wall right next to the door. When he saw the girl get up at the mentioning of his name, he just smirked and walked over to her, ruffling her short blond hair. "Don't you worry about me." he said with a soft smile. He was already feeling the effects of the medicaments the nurse had given him. His ankle wasn't as painful when he was walking and the scratch marks over his face had already started to heal. "Now get up or I'll lick your face off." he added teasingly.

Piper froze when text appeared across the screen of her TV. This was definitely not normal. Shifting her gaze to the bars of the cell to make sure she wasn't being watched, Piper then walked away from the wall she'd been leaning on nearby. Sitting in her desk chair, Piper read the text displayed before her. Blinking, Piper then said quietly to the screen, "Who is this?"

Squinting in the bright sunlight, Xander slowly looked around while his eyes adjusted. It didn't take long for Xander to recognize the Australian beach that he happened to be standing on. It was the secret beach that only he and her had gone to every weekend. Smiling to himself, Xander began to walk along the beach, but froze in place when he saw her. Celeste. He hadn't seen her for nearly ten years now. His wife. Choking back a cry, Xander began sprinting towards Celeste, his vision blurring with tears, as they ran down his cheeks. Yet, when he reached Celeste's side and reached out to embrace her in a hug, his hands went through her body. Shaking, Xander's eyes widened and he stumbled backwards before looking down at his hands and muttering, "No, no, no..." Looking at Celeste, Xander fell to his knees, watching as a tear began rolling down her cheeks. In one of her hands was a letter. From where Xander was, he could make out the government paperwork. It wasn't just any letter though, it was one announcing that someone had died. This couldn't be true. This couldn't be happening. Xander could feel his heart breaking, the agony washing over him like a tidal wave and drowning him slowly. Screaming up at the sky, Xander felt anguish and then everything got extremely bright and then darkness met Xander's mind, dissolving the dreamscape around him.

As Xander entered some odd white room, he looked around to see nothing surrounding him. He blinked and then suddenly saw the medical bay forming around him. Within seconds, he could see Vulcan sitting against a wall, sobbing over possibly Xander or something else. Looking at the two beds nearby, Xander was surprised to see Tucker and then himself asleep. What was going on here? Furrowing his brows, Xander took a step towards himself and then stopped when he heard a door opening behind him. Turning to face the noise, Xander was surpised to see Amelie entering and joining Vulcan while comforting him. While Xander was unable to hear anything, he could see the grief in Vulcan's facial expression and body language. Did Xander really mean that much to him? There was a blur and then time seemed to speed up on its own, as Amelie and Vulcan conversed and then hugged one another. Xander felt his heart ache at the lack of ability to communicate with them. But why couldn't he hear them? All he could hear was this loud and constant beeping sound all around him.

Blinking, Tucker frowned as he looked around himself to see that he was in some suburbs. He was standing at the edge of a driveway leading up to a simple home. He could see a skateboard sitting in the driveway and he felt like he'd seen it before, The confusion swept away when he realized with a start that he was standing in front of his home though. Feeling his heart skip a beat at this thought, Tucker then walked to the front door, his heart now racing in anticipation. Pausing at the front door, Tucker furrowed his brows and turned around to look at the street for any agents. How'd he get here? Why wasn't anyone stopping him? Pushing the confusing thoughts away, Tucker knocked on the door and then took a step back before waiting. Who was going to answer the door? The door cracked open, but right before Tucker could see who was behind it, everything faded away into darkness and Tucker shouted angrily into the darkness, "No, wait!"

Alec was estatic when Piper when up to the tv and was surprised to hear her. He didn't know how that worked with a tv but he was going to roll with it. "I don't have much time, they will kick me out soon. All you need to know is that my name is Alec and I'm going to do everything I can to get you out." The view of Pipers cell dissapeared and he heard his routers restart. To be honest that was longer than what Alec thought he was going to be able to get. If he had gotten into the camera it probably would have been faster. Alec slid his chair to a different computer and typed a message to Amelie.

'Dear Ams,

I know you didn't rat piper out but they somehow caught her. She is in THAT prison. Now I know you work for the government but I also known you don't want them getting their hands on the genetics of this one or that rebellion leader. (More so Piper) Would there be anyway to get her out?

-A'

Alpha made a disgusted look when Vulcan threatened to lick her face. Her attention turned to Amelie when her watched went off and started flashing. "Seems like you got a message. Probably from the boss. I'll start getting ready." Alpha moved over to the other side of the bed and slid off. She hummed all the way to the bathroom before closing the door and turning the shower on.

Once Alpha was gone Amelie opened the message on her watch. The hologram opened up and she was happy only Vulcan was in the room to see who it was. Once she finished reading the message her eyes widened. "They somehow captured Piper." But that wasn't shocking news, to her the shocking news was that her brother wanted to get her out. "And he wants to help." Amelie didn't want to say any names for she wasn't sure if there were cameras in the girls room. Another message popped up kn her screen from the chief saying he wanted to talk to her. Amelie groaned not really wanting to talk about what happened earlier.

Vulcan smirked a bit when Alpha gave him that look. His threats had definitely worked. When she got up and disappeared into the bathroom, Vulcan turned to Amelie, waiting to hear what the message said. He wouldn't snoop in her holographic messages. His eyes widened a bit when he heard they had captured Piper and that someone was trying to help her escape. He could only assume it was Alec. But how were they able to capture such a creature. She was huge and could easily fly away from almost any danger. Vulcan decided not to ask her about any details at the moment as she didn't seem to wanna talk about it. Then another message. Hearing Amelie groan in response, Vulcan tilted his head a bit. "Something wrong?"

"I need to make a call. I've been trying to avoid making it but the chief wants to talk to me now." She got up off the bed and took out her phone. "I'll be out in the hall." She walked out and closed the door. She held down the 1 button and the phone started ringing and he instantly picked up. "Amelie, there is a few things we need to talk about."

"What is it sir?"

"One, I want the other dragon shifter and the speedster transferred to Cataracta, Alpha will be transferred there was well."

Amelie wasn't too surprised that he wanted those two sent there.

"I can send Kytha there right away but Tucker is in an unstable condition to move." She heard the chief sigh.

"Fine, send him as soon as he is stable. Oh and one more thing, someone managed to hack into Cataracta's system today. We managed to pin point the person to be in the int he United States. Use your contacts to try and find him or her."

"Yes sir."

The phone call ended. Amelie had an idea on who was able to get into the the system. Alec was the one of the best hackers out there and he is the only one she knew that would be able to do that. "Damn it Alec, you need to be careful." She ran her hand through her hair. Well at least she didn't get scolded at. He was probably more worried about someone hacking into the system. She walked back into the room, right as she did Alpha came out of the bathroom, drying her hair with a towel. "So where am I being transferred to?" Amelie gripped her phone. "Chief wants to transfer you to the Cataracta Prison (wasnt sure what we agreed on). They need a medic there and its the most secure place we have." Alpha froze. That was the one place she didn't want to go to.

Kytha finished her drawing and sat back on a fall wall admiring the Phoenix she had carved in the stone wall. Placing her knife back in her boot, She hummed happily before laying down to stare at the dull ceiling. "Will I ever be normal?" Her voice echoed to no one in particular.

( So, Cherry, what happens to Hayden if he collapses in his prison room? Because he'll be staying in Ragnavir for days. Is this a good opportunity for me to escape or...? )

"So, you say and admit that you can really lose temper in a split second and like what... try to kill everybody?" A Pierce psychologist asked Hayden. "Am I insane?" Hayden asked back. "Mad, yes. But not insane. You need to lose stress, bro." The psychologist answered. "Yeah, I'm stressed. But how can I remove it all so quickly?" Hayden ask one more time.

"Pff, you're in the right place, Hayden. Stay here in Ragnavir for a few more days and join our celebration." The psychologist suggested. "Alright..." Hayden accepted.

"To Hayden Pierce! The last of our bloodline! The Pierce who stopped Death!" Bardus Pierce shouted with his mug raised up high. Every Pierce was in the plaza, it was great... Hayden felt great to finally accomplish his mission. Technically, he didn't have to kill Vulcan, he just had to avoid him and it turns out that the Death contract eventually faded off. Hayden had so much time talking and getting to know all the Pierce that came before him. They were all so happy and eventually influenced Hayden to be more sociable and lose stress.

He still had one more day to stay in Ragnavir. Considering the fact that he didn't have to eat food in his own realm and continued to feast in Ragnavir. There's going to be that time when the guards would notice Hayden laying on the ground. What they would do is their choice... He just wanted to get out of this prison.

Vulcan couldn't help but overhear Amelie's words. He couldn't quite hear what the chief was saying but he could assume what he wanted according to Ams' responses. When she returned to the room and told Alpha where she was being transferred, the girl acted nervous, almost scared. "The most secure prison? Isn't that where Hayden is?" he asked. If that was the case he doubted it was all the safe. This man was capable of everything.

Amelie sighed at Vulcan's response, she knew what he was thinking. What they both were thinking. "Yeah he's there but if manages to get out of that place, well I'd congratulate him. I know only so much about it and those who work there, their names are kept off record. The worst may be put there but Alpha will be under constant protection and since the existence of the institute. To the prisoners its a myth but it usually scares them strait." Alpha moved closer to Vulcan but stayed silent. No matter what Amelie said, she didn't like that prison.

((sorry been offline a while school sucks))

Hugo walked down the hall back to Seth's cell after ten minutes holding a large bowl of some kind of stew. It smelt horrible but he was told that it had a lot of protein and fat that would help Seth's recovery. Arriving there he sidled the bowl into the small hatch so Seth could take it.

Seth turned around when he heard Hugo coming to his cell. When the food was slid into his cell Seth imediently began eating it ignoring the small and the taste.

Hugo watched him for a couple of moments but then turned his back and turned on his radio. "Hey anyone feel like a bit of training? As you probably know my power wont work on training dummies." Hugo liked a good fight even though if he wanted someone dead he could just make them go insane or kill themselves but that is no fun. And after missing out on Kytha's.....episode he felt tense.

"Come on, Hayden! You can do better than that!" Hayden's father, Keegan, cheered.

Hayden Pierce, son of Keegan, and Hayden Pierce, The Vampire seemed to had a fun hand-to-hand combat training that attracted many of the Pierce. Hayden swung his right hand across Hayden the Vamp but he dodged Hayden's attack and proceeded to uppercut him. Hayden felt nothing at all, since this was a spirit realm, nobody could ever get hurt or die. But still, that was another point for Hayden the Vampire.

The vampire laughed, "Use your elbows!"

"Oh, I will." Hayden replied with a smile. He sprinted towards Hayden the Vamp and dodged his punch as he dropped to his knees and slid, then swung his elbow upwards in the vampire's belly. Unfortunately, the vampire acted so swift that he shoved Hayden's elbow attack and smashed his face. Hayden dropped to the ground as the bell rang, "And Hayden the Vampire wins Round 2!" Bardus shouted.

Hayden learned so much in Ragnavir. In fact, his ancestor, Hayden the Vampire, gave him his old notebook of combat techniques that he could study while he rests in Keegan's cabin. The more he stayed in Ragnavir, the more he knew about the spirit realm and his own realm. It also made him more sociable and lose stress a lot. This gave way to a feeling Hayden has never felt for a long time - happiness.

But, Hayden's body was still lying down collapsed in his realm. This caused the guards to be nervous. The robots grabbed Hayden from his cell and strapped him tightly in a medical room, waiting for Alpha's arrival.

Vulcan snorted a bit at the mentioning of protection. "Well let's hope the protection they can offer her is better than the regular guards we see here. I swear, if you become the chief I'd want them all fired." he said. He saw Alpha coming closer to him so he put his hand on her head. "Don't worry. I'm sure they will send you away again after you've done your work there. And right now, this is the least safe place for you to be. You know that." he said in a calming voice.

Amelie glared at Vulcan. "I can't just fire all of them. They'd probably get sent back to the academy for re-training. We don't waste people in this organization." Amelie brushed he bangs to the side, they were getting too long. She was going to have to cut them soon. Alpha looked at Vulcan, confusion written on her face. "Sissy is going to become chief?" A gifted has never been chief before. It was going to cause a commotion that's for sure.
