Futuristic Those That are Hunted

When the vault was opened, the agents rolled their eyes. "Of course." the gifted mumbled. They rushed back out, the non-gifted scanning the area using the street cameras. It could take a while though with so many faces to scan and recognize. "Leave him be. He'll keep running and I'm tired." the gifted said and tapped his partner on the shoulder as they were leaving. "Just trying to pinpoint him." the other murmured, focused on the screen of his watch. But then again, the boy could be hiding inside some building. This might take a while so they simply headed back for their hotel.

Once Piper was shifted the net was set back down, while the team quickly put power restricting handcuffs on her wrists. A stretcher was brought from one of the choppers and she was lifted up and placed on it. Then they carried her over to one of the choppers, her wings supported by two more guys and put her in a cage there, big enough to house a horse. Then they were off. They arrived minutes later at the headquarters where a medical team was already waiting for their arrival. The cage was transported inside the medical labs and after Piper was injected with another doze of tranquilizer fluid she was set on a surgical table. Doctors immediately began taking care of her wings, removing the needles, cleaning and stitching the wounds, the broken wing was snapped into place and bandaged.

"How much?!" Vulcan acted shocked, knowing he was teasing. He simply loved his partners. Could have been much much worse. He restrained himself from showing him a middle finger. Because of the presence of a lady. And besides, he had earned them. He had restored their relationship that could fall apart any minute now.

(@LOLMAN101 Hey, once you change Seth's reply to him just being scared or something in the cells then I can have Larassa continue with him. After all, he should be freed from solitary confinement the next day in the rp. Also, what's up with Hugo/Hannah? He hasn't done anything since Larassa's last reply)

Hearing a voice Kytha snarled and shot her head towards the man. "What! I'm not in the mood.. " she snarled before slowly walking towards the male.

((you replied with Larassa after Hugo went out into the hall and is currently waiting for you? And about Seth.... I kinda wanted an epic breakout but I guess that can wait ill edit later))

(Did I? I don't recall that at all. I guess I'll hunt down my last post with Larassa and see what's up with her. She was in the middle of being healed by Alpha too, so she wouldn't be following after Hugo so soon anyhow. As for Seth, yeah, no epic breakouts for you. Technicalities are preventing that one for now)

Closing her eyes for a moment, Larassa focused on her breathing until she felt calm once more. Damn new agents thinking their above everyone. Laying back down on the table, Larassa said to Alpha, "Uh, sorry. New agents always rub me the wrong way like that." In other words, Larassa was telling Alpha to continue her healing process. Once this was all done, Larassa would check up on Seth and then her newest Isolation member, Toron. She would need to wait until tomorrow though. After the recent injuries, it'd be wisest for Larassa to simply rest for the rest of the day. After all, she couldn't really terrify anyone while feeling sore from injuries and such.

Amelie just smirked, she knew he was joking. Despite how much she hated that he dug into her personal life but what are you going to do.

Alpha nodded and walked back up to the bed placing her glowing hands on Larassa's chests. It only took about ten minutes for her to finish. "All done. You're lucky that I got transfered here. If I wasn't then I don't the hunk you would have healed."

Xander grinned at Vulcan's exclamation and said in a warning tone, "Hey, I can always increase the price so take it or I double it." Noticing Amelie's smirk, Xander suddenly exclaimed, "Woah, I think I might have almost accomplished in getting a smile from Amelie. This calls for some kind of celebration." Looking at Vulcan, Xander grinned and said, "Hey, whenever we can go to a bar again, drinks are on me."

Larassa waited patiently for Alpha to finish the healing process, finding it odd as she felt torn muscles and skin along with broken or fractured bones mending rapidly. Once Alpha was done, Larassa slowly sat up and swung her legs around so that they were hanging off of the table. Hearing what Alpha said, Larassa simply smirked and said, "If you weren't here, then it just would've taken longer for me to heal and I would've had to remove the shards myself."

Slowly standing up, Larassa immediately noticed the sore feeling that Alpha spoke of. It was kind of like Larassa had just done a workout for her whole body and was fatigued. Still, she needed to check on the two prisoners in isolation. Saying a quick thanks to Alpha, Larassa then walked out of the medical area at a normal walking pace as opposed to her normal brisk pace. She needed to take it easy today and then she'd be fine tomorrow. Walking past the chow hall, Larassa didn't care to pay attention to anyone around her and she began to walk down the hallways, heading for the solitary confinement area.

When the pair entered Seth took a quick look around the room wondering what kind of torture machines would be used on him but nothing really stood out. When the hood came over his head from behind he flinched but didn't say anything Surely it had to be about time she let me go so it's probably best if I fully cooperate. He could not see through the hood when he first tried Of course.. Seth strained his mechanical eyes and managed to get faint outlines of everything around him. At least I wont be totally oblivious After Seth was latched onto the wall and was left alone. He tried to get into a more comfortable position as he knew his arms would eventually start to ache. He first tried to move the chair over so he could stand on it but it was nailed to the floor. After a while he found some positions that would give his arms a slight rest. As his arms started to ache more and more Seth couldn't help but worry how long he was going to stay like this and how long he would stay in Larassa's company.

Hugo was throwing a fake ball against the wall when Larassa walked by. As soon as he saw her the ball disappeared mid air and Hugo started to watch what way she was going. After she turned a corner he turned invisible once again but this time remembering to cover up the sound of his feet and breath then began to follow her walking at the same pace she was. Bingo he thought while doing this.

((kk idk when that is for u but it 8:38 PM so i have school so i would reply sometime after 3:20pm tomorrow))

(You're 3 hours behind me so I'll be heading to a movie by the time you can reply again and I'll have to head straight to bed after the movie tomorrow. I have my only final exam this Thursday AM and then I'm finally done with school for the summer. ^^)

"Again? I don't remember going to a bar with any of you. But sounds good. You know, Dachau is a town as well, not just the lager. We can go some time. I can carry you both." he said and already imagined their night out. It would be a fun time and hopefully he wouldn't get too drunk.

Blood tests were made, DNA samples and X-Ray photos taken and finally the doctors injected her with a healing serum, after which she was removed from the labs and carried over to the jet that was going to take her to the most advanced prison in the USA - Cataracta Institute. They loaded her into a large cage, electricity flowing through the bars and they were off. These planes were designed specifically for making those big flights without stopping for refills. Piper had to be injected one more time with tranquilizers to keep her asleep through all of the process. They weren't sure what she was capable of, even with the power restricting handcuff, so they didn't want her waking up until she was in her cell. After hours of flight, the jet finally landed on Navy Island, from where the prison was accessed. The plane landed on the platform designed for it and began descending into the ground like an enormous elevator, the huge metal doors closing as the plane was underground. From there the cage was unloaded and put into the capsule that was going to bring her on the inside. The huge transportation tube lead under the island and under the Niagara falls. The Institute was basically located in the base of the waterfall, or under to be precise. As the prisoner arrived on the other side, the tubes were closed off and flooded. Escape was out of question. A group of heavily armored guards and GA transported the cage to the inside of the facility and put Piper on the bed in her cell - no cellmates, not here.

Laser beams, pressure pads, attack dogs and hundreds of guards and agents guarded the place, some of which were robots looking like humans or dogs. The government was still working on improving those robots. Their intention was to replace agents, even when working in the field. Those machines were supposed to be able to copy any gifted's powers and use them against them.

Electricity was running through the bars of the cells. Prisoners had to wear their power restricting handcuffs at all times, designed specifically to be worn unconnected on each wrist, along with belly chains and leg shackles when moved out of their cells. Not only that, communication with guards, prisoners or the outside world was forbidden or severely censored. Prisoners were let out into the courtyard for only a couple of hours and the whole building was designed so they had no knowledge of where they were in the facility. On top of that, prisoners were monitored 24 hours a day with a multitude of motion detectors and cameras installed all over the place, covering every single little corner.

Most of the prisoners didn't last long before starting to go insane - from anxiety, irrational anger and rumination to nervous breakdown and even hallucinations. It was truly a place fitting for a horror movie. No one had ever escaped and no one would.

Xander thought for a moment and then said, "Eh, slip of the tongue. We haven't been to a bar together yet, but I'm sure we were near one when we were in that city a bit ago." Looking at Vulcan at the mention of a nearby town with a bar, Xander grinned and said, "Sounds like a plan."

"Great. It's quite early yet so after... two or three hours? How's that? We meet up back here. Coming along, Ams?" he asked and turned his head to look at her, a soft smile on his lips. "Or are we having a boy night out?"

"Me going to a bar? I don't think so boys. I have a prison to run and damages to deal with." ~And probably going to get reprimanded by the cheif.~ Now that was something she wasn't looking forward. She stood up, the ice that was on the floor and table started to melt away. "Go out and have fun. Just be back before morning. I can't have two agents be gone all night." She gave Vulcan a peck kn the cheek before heading out. "Don't do anything stupid!" She called our before exiting the building.

Piper woke with a gasp, lurching up in her cot, only to curse in pain as she stumbled to the side and face planted on the concrete floor. Groaning, she shakily got to her feet while bracing herself against the edge of her cot for balance. Once on her feet, she looked around to see she was in some kind of prison cell. Looking at the bars, it didn't take much for a Therian to recognize the sound of electricity flowing through them with their enhanced senses. Shifting her gaze to her wings where the pain was coming from, she gingerly touched one and winced at the touch, though she recognized the feeling of the bandages engulfing both of her wings. She also noted the handcuffs on her wrists that weren't attached to one another, but she could easily feel the lack of power inside of her, which meant the handcuffs were somehow restricting her gift to some extent.

She found it odd that she was in her human-fox form, but still had her wings. Her only guess would be that she couldn't shift them away until they were healed. It truly was odd to have them shrunken down to more of a wingspan befitting for a human though. Breaking her train of thought, Piper began to explore her cell, starting from the back and then moving to the front, towards the electrified bars. Peering through a tiny window, Piper could see some open field area that was fenced in, most likely electrified fencing, which she could see also had barbed wire at the top. Probably for those that could withstand electricity.

Looking back around her cell, Piper noted a shower and curiously walked up to it, but saw no way to turn it on. Odd. Ignoring it for now, Piper investigated the toilet and soon saw that the top opening was designed to be a sink and water fountain after testing a few of the buttons. Piper wasted no time in downing several gulps of water, feeling as if she were dehydrated. Satisfied, she stood up and left the sink alone, now curious about the TV that was seemingly glued down on a desk she had. Sitting down on the nailed-down stool, Piper made sure her tail was comfortably hanging off the edge of the stool before she poked at the TV in curiosity of what she'd be able to watch.

Vulcan nodded a bit as she told them she wouldn't come. "We will." he promised like a well behaved child, which he probably didn't mean but still. He could tell her Nah, we're gonna get drunk and will be gone for a day or two. "Sure." he yelled after her as she told them not to do anything stupid. Vulcan then waited for Amelie to leave the building before lifting up his arm to give Xander a high five. "Hell yeah."

Xander grinned at the idea of a boys night out and then smirked before shouting back at Amelie, "Hey, we'd never do anything stupid!" Lowering his voice back to normal, Xander added, "Well, drinking might change that more so than usual." He then grinned at Vulcan and gave him a high five before saying with a grin, "Ever heard of a molotov?" Considering his fire gift, it wouldn't be hard at all to make one. As long as they found some desolate area where no harm would come to anyone and they could enjoy burning stuff without consequence, then Xander wasn't too worried about making one.

Vulcan searched through his mind but couldn't remember making or using a Molotov. I sounded Russian and he had actually seen it being used on riots by protesters but he hadn't prepared one before. "No. But I'd love to see how it's done." he replied and gave him a small grin. He just hoped they wouldn't be brought back to Amelie in handcuffs.

Xander grinned at this and held up his finger, which temporarily became engulfed in small flames. "It helps when you can already create flames on a whim, as opposed to needing other materials to do so," Xander said with a grin. He then blew out the flames, though he could easily just dismiss them with his mind, and then went back to finishing the rest of his breakfast. He then realized with a start that that Tucker kid had never gotten breakfast after this morning's events. Great. Considering none of it had been his fault, there was no real reason why he shouldn't get breakfast. And from what he'd heard about him, he couldn't get breakfast unless he was escorted there and back. Looked like Xander had a job to do once he was done eating breakfast.

As Larassa walked past the chow hall, she instantly heard someone falling step behind her before the sound of the person completely dissipated. Assuming it was the Hannah agent from earlier after her invisibility trick, Luness cut a sharp right instead of heading towards Solitary Confinement, now stopping once she was outside and in the middle of the plaza, or the open grassy field between buildings. Turning around and crossing her arms over her chest, Larassa said plainly, "I know you're there, Hannah. Show yourself before I call in higher up and have you fired on your first day here."

Vulcan stuck his tongue out at Xander's boasting but had to admit that this would be the best night out in his life. When Xander returned to his breakfast he began to look around and drum his fingers on the table, not quite knowing what to do in those few hours to come. It wouldn't be a bad idea to finally get some sleep. He hadn't slept in literally days and all that fighting, running around and yelling made him tired. He yawned just by the thought of it and stood up. "I'll head for our room. Meet you here in three hours, okay?" he said and headed there.

Xander glanced up at Vulcan when he spoke to him and simply nodded at him before continuing to eat his breakfast. Once he was done eating and downed the last of his water, Xander stood up and then tossed away his trash before making his way to Tucker's cell. Once he was at it, Xander began to dig out his keys while Tucker stood up from where he'd been sitting against the cell wall. Raising an eyebrow at Xander, Tucker asked him, "What's going on?" Rolling his eyes, Xander pulled out a pair of handcuffs, another precaution with Tucker apparently, and then said, "Don't you want some breakfast?" Tucker eagerly nodded at this and Xander unlocked his cell door before Tucker complacently walked up to him and held out his wrists to be handcuffed.

Once the handcuffs were on, Xander let Tucker lead the way so he could keep his eye on him. Entering the chow hall, Tucker quickly shifted his gaze to the ground, not wanting anyone to take notice of him. He'd gotten plenty of threats in his early days from the other prisoners since he was treated differently than everyone, but he couldn't use his powers. Without his powers, Tucker was just a tall and lanky kid that was weak in a fight despite knowing how to handle himself. He'd been picked on plenty in the beginning and the guards had only watched in amusement when he'd been attacked several times.

Now though, it seemed that they had arrived in good timing since they were the only people present except for one or two agents cleaning up the area. After Tucker had made a tray full of food, Xander grabbed some more water and then sat opposite of Tucker while he silently ate his food and such. While Xander began to feel a bit awkward in the silence, Tucker was content to eat his food and water without interruption.

Amelie headed back to her office. She needed to tell accounting to get someone they could afford out here to fix the mess hall. She entered the office building and went up to the secretary. "Can you tell accounting to find out how much we have to fix the mess hall?" Amelie wasn't always good with numbers so she left that to those who do. She got into the elevator and went up to her floor and to her office. Right when she walked in her computer was making a ringing noise. ~Skype. Must be the boss.~ She looked behind her at the camera in the hallway. It was pointed directly at her. Turning around she closed the door and took a seat at her desk. The screen came on right as she did showing the cheif.

"What can I do for you sir?" 'I've been told that there have been some issues with some of the recent prisoners that were sent with you.' Amelie bit her bottom lip. "Yes, but we managed to get it under control. The two have been sent to solitary confinment." The chief leaned back in his chair. 'If it happens again I'm shutting that place down. I thought you of all people would be able to handle this, but the mess hall had already been destroyed and Agent Larassa had to be sent to the infirmary, which should never need to happen. Send the healer back. She is not safe there and I can not let any harm happen to her. She is to important. Plus she is needed at the Cataracta Institute.' Amelie's mouth dropped. How was that place safer than here? Yes it had a lot more security and they didn't allow room for those to attempt to rebel, but that place held the most dangerous gifted.

'The healer is necessary. Recently two agents caught a shifter who can change into mythical creatures.' The only other person Amelie knew of that could do that was Piper. 'You don't seem too surprised by this. Why is that?' "Sir, we currently have a baby dragon that is being examined by our scientists. It belongs to that girl that shifted into a dragon for a few moments at HQ." The chief was silent for a moment before talking again. 'When you are done with it, send the dragon and the girl here.' Amelie nodded. 'Also Amelie, you are so close to getting what most have killed to achieve. As long as there are no more screw ups you were my next choose to come after me.' Amelie's hands were in her lap, squeezing her shorts. 'The leaders if the world aren't too happy about a gifted in charge but we will do what's best. But remember, one more screw up and you're gone.' She grew confused. "Sir, what do you mean by gone?" 'Gone as in you will not be allowed in the field anymore and will be sent to work in the office.' At that the screen went black. Amelie leaned back into her chair. Maybe she should put Kytha in confinment. She did not want to ruin this chance to change everything. "Richter. Send Kytha to isolation. Tell her...tell her I'm sorry but it's for the better. Make sure to tell Larassa that the girl doesn't need to be tortured just keep an eye on her."

((wasn't Hugo far enough away? but wutevs)) Instead of following Larassa outside Hugo leaned against the cold wall that turned to the outside door Why would she be headed outside? She must know I'm here He thought peeking. His thoughts were confirmed when she called his previous disguise out. God damn it she's good perhaps I should go back to the idea of asking? She might be the one most likely to understand my.... urges He thought. Hugo decided to continue the attempt to follow her and if it failed resort back to Hannah. Then it wouldn't matter if she reported someone who never existed. Hugo decided to just remain where he was leaning against the cold stone wall until Larassa gave up on Hannah and went back on the course to solitary confinement.
