Futuristic Those That are Hunted

Tucker furrowed his brows at Kytha when she pulled away from him and then stood up. Following Kytha like a loyal dog, Tucker walked alongside her and then stopped when Kytha began to mouth off to some prisoner trying to conduct an escape attempt. Raising an eyebrow at the prisoner, Tucker wondered if he even had any brains in there. Why run away from a well-stocked fortress, especially when there are medical supplies and even some injures prisoners? Even if they began to run low on food, surely the Therians could help in hunting, right?

Carter narrowed his eyes at the lady who approached him, "I had no idea you own this prison now, but if there's one thing I'm sure of, it's that you're not my queen." He said calmly and continued tying the rope while looking directly at the girl and the man beside her. "I'm not going to stay here..."

Tucker outright laughed at the prisoner's response to Kytha. "Dude, you're just going to get caught again if you leave this place. How do you know they don't have some kind of perimeter around here already? For all we know, the agency could already be sending agents to intercept us. We have everything we could possibly need to survive here and despite the two holes in the dome, it's still a great defense. Now, stop wasting our good supplies and do something more practical." After saying this, Tucker disappeared in a small concussive sound and soon all of the bedsheets, minus the ones in the prisoner's hands, were untied. Reappearing at Kytha's side with a grin, Tucker then looked down at the prisoner and said, "Like I said, stop wasting our good supplies."

Vulcan listened to the ensuing argument with obvious disinterest and annoyance. A prisoner looking for trouble. Well, if he wanted trouble he would get it very soon. Freedom was a great thing, a dangerous one as well. Vulcan approached the three, standing on the other side of Kytha and crossed his arms. "Why, let him go. He can be a great example for the others." he said and looked him over. "Without supplies and knowledge he'll either starve, be found by the government if he's lucky or eaten by wildlife if not." he shrugged.

Xander nodded at Kytha's request to burn Hayden's body just before she walked off to confront the stupid prisoner from before. Ignoring the argument, Xander then slowly bended some fire, letting it swirl around his body before he sent it flying towards Hayden's body and engulfed it within seconds. Controlling the flames, Xander sped up the process and soon only ashes were left in Hayden's place. While waiting for Kytha to finish her business with the prisoner, who had gained the interest of Tucker and now Vulcan, Xander fished out a spare pouch he had and knelt down by the pile of ash, as he began to furtively and carefully put as many of the ashes as possible into the pouch. Once he had stored as much of the ash as possible, Xander then pulled on the strings of the pouch to close it before he walked up to Kytha and held out the pouch to her while blatantly interrupting and saying, "Here's the ashes, Kytha." Not that he was following her orders now, but he'd just really wanted to get rid of the body before it smelled.

Kytha glared at him with disgust and smirked when all the bed sheets were untied. "Go find supplies for your stupid rope that doesn't take away from all of us and our survival ok?" She was about to turn around but was halted by Xander holding the ashes. She takes the ashes slowly then begins the next order of business. "Alright. Do any agents other than you have an active watch? We need to open and keep open as many doors as possible before they shut down every watch. That way, we'll have access to as much supplies as possible. Then I need you to help me free my pets. Vulcan and tucker, can you make sure everyone is well taken care of? Especially those in the medical bay."

Xander frowned at Kytha and crossed his arms over his chest before saying blatantly, "Look, kid, I may have turned my back against the agency, but that doesn't mean I follow your orders now. Anyhow, I'm going to check on Piper. She looked pretty bad earlier and I want to see her for myself." He hadn't seen her since she'd taken down the tower with the rebels inside of it and so now after seeing her injured and so weak after her recent fight with Hayden, Xander was getting increasingly concerned for her. Turning away from Kytha and the group, Xander then began walking in the direction of the medical bay without waiting for anyone to stop him. He wasn't about to just blindly follow some teenager's orders, especially after her display of lack of control over herself when Xander had been forced to save everyone but a couple of days ago.

Tucker raised an eyebrow at Xander's obvious lack of care for what Kytha was saying, even if she was being smart about things. Whatever. He'd come around eventually. Upon hearing Kytha telling him to make sure everyone was okay, Tucker nodded, but decided to not zip off before Vulcan made the decision to join him. Tucker still hated the mutt with a passion, but if Kytha was okay with him then Tucker could deal with him for the time being.

Vulcan watched Xander run off to check on Piper and didn't stop him in the process. He wasn't sure about Piper but Xander definitely saw her as a good friend. However, they would have to talk about him refusing to follow Kytha's orders. She didn't take kindly to disobedience. Hearing the talk about medical bay and having to go with Tucker, Vulcan gave him a bit of a glare, then looked back at Kytha. "There are nurses and some agents taking care of the injured. They will be fine."

Kytha glared hard at the agent who simply walked away. He's gonna give in eventually. Hearing Vulcans words though, she swung her head around the glare still hard on her face. "Then find some agents with active watches that are willing to unlock the doors. We need the supplies. And send one to me. I'm getting my pets out." With that, she began walking to the sheets that tucker untied and began grabbing some and handing them out. They had to keep warm. She really should be grabbing the blankets from the agent quarters but decided to do that later. Kytha knew what it means to survive and she was going to do that.

Tucker returned Vulcan's glare, but kept quiet about not wanting to work with him. Kytha didn't seem to be in the best of moods at the moment, all things considered, and Tucker wasn't too keen on pushing his luck around her. Sighing, Tucker then said to Vulcan, "There's an agent in the infirmary, Matthew, who can probably help us get some of the locked doors unlocked." Turning away, Tucker was about to sprint there at super speed, but decided against it. He probably shouldn't leave the mutt behind. Walking away from the group, Tucker then gave Vulcan a backwards wave before saying over his shoulder, "Come on, mutt. We haven't got all day."

Once he entered the infirmary, it didn't take long for Xander to find Piper. A few prisoners and even agents would pause by her bed every so often and give her a sideways glance of what appeared to be...amazement? Pride? Awe? Either way, Xander found it irritating, especially since Piper was currently unconscious due to her healing from her injuries. Walking up to Piper's bedside, Xander quickly pulled curtains around her bed to give the pair some more privacy before Xander pulled up a small stool and sat down beside Piper. Looking over her forlornly, Xander first noted the stitched up tear through her left wing. He then noticed a slight swelling around her right eye. What had happened to her out there?

Vulcan ignored Kytha's glare and simply decided to follow her orders, not especially keen on getting on her bad side. Oh, how much this whole situation reminded him of another woman, with a just as combative and stubborn personality. Hearing Tucker's teasing, Vulcan rolled his eyes and took off running towards the medical labs. "Hey, sorry about your arm." he said after a couple of steps. It felt stupid to apologize but he actually wanted to do that quite sooner. He decided not to mention that his screaming back then was tenfold more painful to his ears than his punches. "But look at it that way - you'll have a great scar to impress the ladies with. Or at least that one lady." he added with a bit of a smirk, mentioning towards Kytha.

Tucker jogged alongside Vulcan as they neared the infirmary. Hearing Vulcan's apology for his arm, Tucker frowned and said, "Yeah, well, I'll think about your apology. Not going to forgive you that easily, mutt." At least Tucker had been able to do some damage back to Vulcan, even if it wasn't showing as much as the scar on Tucker's arm. Upon hearing Vulcan mentioning the scar and then gesturing towards Kytha, Tucker blushed slightly and then said, "Yeah, sure." Wanting to quickly change subjects, especially considering who he was talking to at the moment, Tucker then asked Vulcan, "How's Piper looking?"

Vulcan didn't even need to turn his head and look at Tucker to know the guy was blushing. His nose was telling him everything he needed to know. "Nothing to be ashamed of." he giggled. "I just want to know how you feel about her. She needs someone, especially now... Oh, and let's not forget that she'll kill you before you leave her." he said with a smile. Kytha didn't look like she was going to make the same mistake again she did with him once. "And I believe Piper will be just fine. She'll only need some time." he replied simply.

Tucker rolled his eyes at Vulcan when he wasn't looking and then felt his heart skip a beat when Vulcan began indirectly questioning how Tucker felt about her. What, was Vulcan looking out for Kytha now that she was doing something useful for him? Shaking his head at such thoughts, and then blinking at the mention of Kytha killing him if he were to leave her. Now that was not a comforting thought. In fact, it made him feel very uneasy. Luckily, they arrived at the infirmary before Tucker had to respond. Brushing past Vulcan, Tucker entered the infirmary and weaved past the various nurses, agents, and prisoners until he spotted Matthew off to the side. Walking up to him, Tucker grinned and then said, "Hey, Matt. How're you holding up?"

Matthew was continuing to help the nurses with what he could. Everyone was calm now, hearing that the fight was finally over. Some had even seen what had happened outside and had informed the others. But there was not much time to be happy and cheering. There were lots of patients that were in need of medical assistance. Hearing Tucker, Matthew turned around and smiled. "Everything is alright. Some are already recovering well." he reported and handed the syringe that was in his hand to a nurse. "Is there something you need?"

Pleased to hear there weren't any serious cases, Tucker then nodded at Matthew's question before gesturing at Vulcan. "This guy is tagging along, but we were told to find any agents who have active watches so we could open up locked doors and then prop 'em open. Y'know, before the watches begin to deactivate and all."

Nearby in the infirmary, behind some curtains, Piper finally woke up with a gasp. Xander quickly moved to restrain her from sitting up and trying to move, as he quietly and calmly said, "You're in the infirmary, Piper. You're not in danger, calm down." Piper took a few quick breaths before her eyes focused on Xander, though she still seemed terrified at the moment. It was then that Xander noticed that Piper's left eye was completely gray. Widening his eyes at this, Xander was about to ask Piper about it when she said in a scared and quiet tone, "I'm permanently blind in my left eye now." Looking dejectedly down at her lap, as she was now sitting up with a pillow behind her back, Piper then said softly, "It's not easy to fight when you can't see anything happening on your left side..." Xander could only imagine how painful such news was for Piper. Still, being his typical optimistic self, Xander conjured up a grin on his face and then said, "Hey, at least you'd make a great pirate if you got an eye patch." Piper rolled her eyes at this, but otherwise said nothing in return. She could feel terror inside of her with this knowledge of her newfound blindness. She was going to be useless in a fight unless her enemies stayed to her right the whole time.

Matthew nodded at that. "Then we should hurry. We don't know how long we have." he said. "We should get the supplies from med labs first. There is a storage room downstairs." he added and headed down the hallway at a quick pace, yelling at the nurses to help get the medications out. Downstairs was a cooler that preserved the drugs but they had to do without.

Carter watched what seemed to be the "Rebel Leaders" of the whole facility talk to each other and disperse in a few seconds. He scowled at the lady ( Kytha ) and sighed as he walked away from her. He roamed the plaza trying to find the girl who suggested to make ropes to tell her that it was a mission fail. But he couldn't find her.

Nodding at Matthew's information, Tucker then jogged just behind the young agent, as he led Tucker down the hallway and hopefully the med labs would be closer rather than farther away from them. They had a time crunch and needed to unlock as much as possible. With a few nurses in tow, though they were seemingly being left behind by the boys' quick pace, Tucker knew that they'd have a good amount of hands to quickly get all of the supplies out of the locked room.

Reaching the storage room downstairs, Matthew unlocked the door and held it wide open for the nurses to start getting the contents out. Cold air was flowing out of the room and into the hallway, making everyone's breaths visible. Matthew stepped back from the door and pointed at it. "Get everything out! Hurry!" he yelled at the nurses, who immediately went to work, before joining Tucker's side again. "We need to get the food and maybe the scientific supplies out as well." he said.

Tucker nodded as the nurses began retrieving the medical supplies. Looking at Matthew, Tucker then said, "We can head to the chow hall to look for food supplies and such. They can prop this door open to keep access to these supplies and such." This said, Tucker then added with a grin, "By the way, hope you don't mind me carrying you, but this will certainly speed up the process." That said, Tucker then suddenly swept Matthew's legs out form under him and held him bridal style. With a small concussive sound, Tucker and Matthew both disappeared from the infirmary in a flash and Tucker then skidded to a halt just inside of the chow hall. Putting down Matthew carefully, Tucker then continued to grin, as he had found that rather fun in the end. "Well, I suppose we should check the kitchens for food supplies. Maybe find a door to a basement cellar or something."

Before Matthew could agree to the plan, he was already lifted up and Tucker had sped away. When they reached the dining hall and he was put down again, he placed his hand on his mouth to hold back the urge to barf. This may look cool but it felt horrible. After a second or two of recovering, he stood straight again and looked around first before heading for the storage room there, yelling at people to help him again. Opening the doors to the storage room, he returned to Tucker and gave him a bit of a look. "At least tell me to hold my breath before you do that." he muttered. "What's next now? Science labs or the equipment from the training area?" he asked. He had completely forgotten about the weapons and armor stored there.

Vulcan hadn't had any time to respond or stop the speedster before the two were off and gone. He put his hands on his hips and looked down the hallway. "Great teamwork..." he murmured under his nose before heading towards the exit. On the way he caught a glimpse of himself in a mirror and made a bit of a grimace seeing that he still hadn't had time to cut that burnt hairs of his. He grabbed a scalpel from a trolley and after puting it in his pocket continued on. After a while he caught the scent of Piper and Xander but decided not to go and check on them. Perhaps they needed some privacy.

Tucker watched Matthew take charge once more and soon they had the good storage open with several prisoners and agents helping in propping open the doors and securing any food that didn't need to be refrigerated. With the doors propped open, they could keep cold items in their fridges and freezers, thus preserving them safely. When Matthew approached Tucker again and muttered about a warning next time, Tucker sheepishly grinned at him and rubbed the back of his head before saying, "Ah, sorry. I'll keep that in mind." Upon hearing the question of where next, Tucker realized that it would logically be much better if they went to the training area...but where was it? As far as Tucker had ever heard of it, it wasn't even in the prison area...or prison. Kytha really wanted her pets back, too. With this in mind, Tucker then said, "Science labs next. Who knows what they could have in there that's useful for us? Maybe some kinda prototype weapon or even medical supplies?" Hesitating for a moment, Tucker then added, "Plus, Ky really wants her pet dragon and dog back. I have no idea if there are any other animals there, but we could take care of them as well, I suppose." Course, that'd be a waste of their own supplies, but Tucker wasn't exactly keen on letting some animals die of starvation or something. He had a weak point with animals. He'd help one if he saw it in need. Much like he always wanted to help the underdog if he could.

Piper soon told Xander in a dejected tone, "Go help Vulcan and the others with whatever they're doing right now. I'm not going to make an rash decisions here. It's not like I'm in shape to do so anyhow." This said, she held up the IV connected to her and then pointed out her still-healing dragon wing. She really wasn't going anywhere, anytime soon. Xander let out a small sigh at this and nodded before he stood up and left Piper, closing the curtains behind him to give her some more privacy. Looking around the infirmary, Xander quickly realized he was only going to get in the way here. Exiting the infirmary, Xander began to walk along a random hallway, suddenly unsure of what to do. He was rather hungry though, so perhaps some food would be good for now.

Matthew nodded at Tucker's decision but as he mentioned the pet dragon, his eyes widened a bit. "That strange creature is her pet?" He had seen it fly around a couple of times and thought it was some mutated creature from then science labs. Even some first prototype of a dinosaur. But a real dragon? And a pet on top of all. Maybe it was a baby that would eventually grow up to be huge? Matthew would barely understand even if it was to be explained to him. And how could he? He was probably among the handful of people in the world to see a real mythical beast, not only the Therian woman but also some sort of new species. Then he remembered that he had noticed it fighting some huge wolf Therian. He believed it was the same guy from the med labs. Whatever the case, that little dragon had been very aggressive and attacking. Maybe its master needed to tag along to get it. "Maybe we should get Kytha." he suggested.

Vulcan exited the building and looked around, hoping to spot Kytha or someone else. On the other hand, Kytha probably wasn't the person he wanted to see or be seen right now or perhaps even in the following days. Before he could think of anything further, his belly began rumbling and protesting. He placed his hand there but it didn't seem to want to leave him be. It was even painful. He had stopped counting the time for which he hadn't eaten anything. The food they gave them wasn't enough to make him last for almost a week without eating. This wolf really had to be fed sometime soon or he would simply go and possibly attack someone random. Without a second thought he headed towards the dining hall.
