Futuristic Those That are Hunted

Rosalyn thought about how much energy she had left. "I can but I'll need time. Changing someone's memeories about their gift takes a while."

Amelie groaned at what Larassa said. "Well no one told me about that." She ran a hand through her hair. "Do what you need to do. Right now the prison isn't safe. Hayden is out of control. Plus we don't have the technology here for a telpathic. What where they thinking."

The young agent was in shock, shaking like a leaf. "Please, I-I don't wanna die." he mumbled from underneath the Therian, whose jaws were only inches away from his face. He didn't even think of using his gift, knowing that in this situation he would always be on the losing side. "Then you'll cooperate." Vulcan growled, his canines now slightly touching the agent's skull. He quickly lifted up his arm and pressed his watch against Kytha's handcuffs, confirming to unlock and then they were finally off, opening and dropping to the ground. "See, wasn't so hard. Now get up!" Vulcan growled another order and removed his paw for the agent for him to rise from the ground. "Solitary. Move it! And don't try anything stupid." he continued and pushed him towards the door of solitary with his head, causing him to make a couple of unstable steps before regaining his balance once again. The agent obediently unlocked the entrance door, walking ahead of them to do just that. In fact, he too wanted to get to solitary, even lock himself in a cell and hope for the best. When they reached Toron's cell, Vulcan let Kytha walk ahead of him to avoid any unnecessary drama.

Kytha shook her wrists which were still marked up from her transformation. Her quick healing kicked in and started its work. She walked down the hall and once they reached her brothers she ran up to the door. Inside she could see her brother. Shaking like a leaf and looking almost dead. "Toron! We are gonna get you out! I promise!" She turned to the boy. "Get him out of there. Now."

The agent jumped a bit as Kytha yelled at him. He quickly pressed his trembling wrist against the lock of the door and a clicking sound could be heard before the door opened. Then he stepped to the side. "Please let me go now." he begged. Vulcan narrowed his eyes at him and didn't answer for a moment before making a small movement with his head towards down the hallway. "Get out of here before I change my mind." That was all the agent was waiting for. He turned around and ran, quickly unlocking the first empty cell he came across and jumped in, locking it behind his back once again.

Tucker stayed by Kytha and Vulcan's sides, not really interfering or doing anything in the moment. Yet, once the door was open to Toron's cell, Tucker disappeared in a blur, only to reappear moments later with a full glass of water in one hand and a tray full of various foods in his other hand. Nodding down at the shaking Toron, Tucker said, "He'll need all of this, but if he drinks or eats too quickly, he'll only get sick and then lose everything again. It's a cruel trick that Larassa plays on her prisoners, giving them temporary relief only for them to be so desperate that they lose whatever they had to begin with."

Larassa promptly replied over the com to Amelie, saying, "Roger." Shifting her gaze back to Rosalyn, Larassa then said, "How close do you have to be to him to do it and are you actually willing to do it?" After all, the anti-gravity agent had been able to maintain his position on the peak of the dome, near Hayden's original opening. If Rosalyn held on tightly to Larassa's back, and made enough room for the anti-gravity agent to join her on Larassa's back, then Larassa would be able to get all three of them into the dome and prison area.

"Of course I'd do it." She responded without hesitation. "I may not have personally dealt with him before today but I have read his thoughts and saw what he has done through others minds." At the part for her range Rosalyn actually had to think that one through. With continuous training she was able to do it withing a couple yards but putting in the amount of chaos going on and considering she used the technique twice already it shrunk. "I'd have to be at least within about five feet from him." Never in her wildest dreams did she ever think she would work with the person who kidnapped her sister. Unfortunently she had to put personal feelings aside fo the greater good Hayden was a threat for agents and nom-agents a like. "But being in that range with him will most likely result in my death. I changed my mind. Unless I know I can get out of it alive I'm not doing it." As far as Hayden know she is still with him and she wasn't going to risk it unless she knew for sure she won't die in the process.

Kytha sprinte through the door. Her eyes wide. "Toron. Oh my god! Are you ok? Did they hurt you?" He looked at her. Eyes wide. He tried to speak but no sound came out. Toron looked at his blurry sister. A small grin appeared on his face but didnt last long when he got light headed and began to fall. Kytha quickly caught him. "Don't worry. We're going to get you some food and water. Just stay awake ok? Don't close your eyes unless its a quick blink. And stay as still as possible. Reserve your energy." She grabbed the things out of her pocket. The four objects she was given. She grabbed one that was glowing green and purple. It looked like a tree. "Please work." She opened his mouth and put 3 drops in his throat. She put the things back in her boot and watched him. Toron swallowed hard. And when he saw the food his eyes widened.

When Piper dropped him down, he hit the ground head-first. And it was surprising how his blood stayed put around his red coated body rather than reacting to the drop and stain the floor, but it didn't. It was still coating Hayden's body... as if his blood was solid. And in surprise, he was able to stand up but in a wobbly stance. He grinned, his head lowered... then he laughed. "You think it's that easy...?" Before he continued, he felt something growing inside of him, he was unsure what it was... but he had faith it was going to support his rampage... and he knows it's going to get bloody. "You can't... kill... a demon." He looked at Piper and smiled, "Feeling victorious now, are you?" He looked back at the fleeing soldiers and at the ice dome Amelie created. "I WILL MAKE EACH AND EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU BLEED TO DEATH AND WATCH ME TAKE THE BLOOD OUT OF YOUR LOVED ONES!!!" He exclaimed with all his energy, but it wasn't his voice that came out. His words had a more... demonic sound and echoed around the dome and outside.

Suddenly, the blood that coated him turned more solid and he felt it... changing into armor.

Vulcan was staying outside the cell, watching Kytha tend after Toron. The boy was going to be fine but they had to be careful with him for the next day or so. He looked at the tray of food Tucker had brought. There was no time for this. They could only feed him a small amount before they had to get out of there. Suddenly, his ears caught the sounds of battle once again. Screams and the squeaking sounds of bats. Hundreds of bats. "Xander." he whispered more to himself, then turned around and ran down the hallway and through the exit of solitary, looking around. Bats the size of small dogs were tearing through the guards and agents, skinning them alive and sucking their blood, charging up their master. Or what has become of him anyways. Vulcan could only guess the huge bony dragon-like bat was him. Piper would have to deal with him for the time being. The gifted agents were often doing better than the non-gifted, able to burn or freeze some of the evil creatures mid-flight or even just form shields around themselves. But as many as they fought off, new ones appeared out of nowhere. For some reason, those ugly, dark creatures didn't attack him. In fact, they were completely ignoring him. But Vulcan couldn't think of that right now. He looked to the ice dome. It was holding well. The bats wouldn't be able to get through so easily. But Xander was laying in his bed in the med labs. He couldn't protect himself. Vulcan sprinted towards the hospital building, ripping or biting through any of the flying creatures that were in his way. He shifted human right before flying through the door and shutting it behind his back. There were none of the bats inside yet. The bulletproof glass was holding but he didn't want to take any chances. He ran through the hallway and up the stairs where Xander's room was. Once there, he slung it open before quickly going inside and closing it again. "Xander... my God, I'm so glad you're alive." he muttered with a sigh of relieve. He then walked to the window to check the condition of the glass and the frame, as well as secure the lock on it. It was holding but a couple of bats were hitting and scratching at it, trying to get through. Vulcan pulled the curtain over it, hoping that if they couldn't see their target, they would just let it be. Then he focused back on Xander. He wanted to help him so badly but knew that he couldn't give him another healing potion so soon. He couldn't carry him out either. The bats would immediately start attacking him. Only thing he could do was stay there and protect him in case some of those creatures made it through.

Larassa listened to Rosalyn's response with a neutral expression and then looked away once she was done speaking. If she needed to be guaranteed that she wouldn't die, then Larassa would have to find a Gifted, who could keep her safe the whole time. Thinking it over quickly, the only one who came to mind was Toron. He could create an impenetrable barrier to protect Rosalyn, but how in the world would he be convinced to help them? Plus, he wasn't exactly in any condition to use his Gift so soon. A Therian-healing serum would help for sure, but he was still weak overall. Growling at her decision, Larassa then spoke over the com to Amelie, saying, "Rosalyn has agreed to help us take down Hayden by altering his memories regarding his Gift. She only will do it if she's guaranteed her safety though, as she has to be within five feet of him and needs a good amount of time to accomplish this feat. We'll need to somehow get Toron's help in defending Rosalyn, but we'll also need someone to hold Hayden down. That dragon Gifted could probably help in that case."

Piper curiously watched, as Hayden began his transformation. As his armor formed on his body, she let out one of her signature roars and then took a deep breath before letting loose a torrent of flames towards him. Let's see how his armor protects him against my fire, she thought, as she continued to breath fire in Hayden's direction.

Tucker curiously watched Toron, seeing how weak he was. Would Toron even be able to use his Gift at this point? Swiveling his head back to the plaza upon hearing another fight breaking out, Tucker then looked back at Kytha and Toron before saying quickly, "It doesn't sound like we have time for food now. We should get out of here before anyone takes notice of us escaping. I can carry you all out of the dome, one at a time. I can even get Vulcan out, if he's not in his wolf form that is. But we should hurry. There's not telling how long this fight will last before someone finds a way to end it."

Xander groggily woke up from his latest nap to find Vulcan in the room with him. Taking a couple moments to fully wake up, Xander then said, "Mate, what the hell is going on out there?" He could hear the sounds of fighting ensuing beyond the walls and windows, but it sounded like all hell was breaking loose and not so much like a controlled fight. Raising one of his arms in a testily manner, Xander was pleased to feel that most of the cuts had actually healed, though there were still a few deeper ones that were taking a bit longer. His legs and feet were in the same boat, along with his face. On the downside, he was going to have a lot of scars by the end of this healing process. If only Alpha had been here to heal him properly...then he probably wouldn't have ended up with so much scarring.

"What do you think?" he said as he was done covering the window, then walked over to the bed. "Hayden." he muttered. "The plaza is filled with blood sucking bats. Piper is currently dealing with him." he continued, then looked back at the window. He walked over to the other empty bed, where he had laid before and lifted one end of it, leaning it against the wall where the window was for extra precaution and to possibly stop the bats from entering if they did manage to break through the window. "I hope this will do." he murmured, then walked back to his friend. "How are you feeling? Can you use your gift?"

Upon hearing the mention of Piper's name, Xander's eyes widened. So that was the roaring he'd heard earlier. Even though he'd been half awake and whatnot from the drug effects, he'd thought he'd recognized such roaring. Hearing Vulcan's question of how he was feeling, Xander cautiously pressed his palms on the bed on either side of himself, as he pushed himself up into a sitting position with his back against the bedrest. While it stung a bit to do so, it wasn't nearly as bad as it used to be. The only question now was if he'd be able to stand, walk, and run. Deciding to test his Gift, Xander held out one of his palms towards the ceiling and then focused for a moment, watching as a small sphere of fire appeared floating on his palm. He then quickly dismissed the flames, as he clenched his palm into a fist, thus dissolving the flames in a puff. Dropping his arm back to his side, Xander then looked at Vulcan and said, "I'm not so sure about standing up yet, but I can use my Gift with a little extra concentration compared to a normal day."

"You aren't going anywhere yet, bud. I just want to know if you can protect yourself." he said as he was raising his backrest a bit more for him to be able to sit more properly and more comfortable. "Would you like me to give you a bottle of rubbing alcohol?" he smirked a bit. Just like any alcohol, this one was highly flammable so if Xander could create enough fire, he should also be able to control them more easily. "Guess you couldn't show me your molotov but at least you can use it."

Xander nodded thanks to Vulcan when he made Xander's backrest more comfortable for him. Upon hearing the mention of rubbing alcohol, Xander was confused at first and raised an eyebrow at Vulcan. Then it hit him that rubbing alcohol was highly flammable. Grinning at such an idea, Xander imagined himself throwing a bunch of flaming, rubbing alcohols at any enemies who dared enter the medical bay. Now that would be a grand sight. Hearing the mention of his molotov, Xander then looked at Vulcan and said, "You still owe me a drink, mate. But, some rubbing alcohol will do for now."

Vulcan nodded at that and rushed to the drawer with medicaments. "You know, Russians drink this stuff." he said and returned with two 500 ml bottles, handing them to him before walking out of the room. He spotted a trolley in the hallway, left behind in the chaos. In one of the drawers he found three more bottles and returned with them to Xander, leaving them on the side of his bed. "Should I fetch more or...?"

Kytha looked at tucker. "I'm hoping that tree heals him but I have no guarantees. He can carry the water and we will get more food later. But we need to find Vulcan, my dragon, and my dog. There will be guards in the medical bay. My dragon will see me and I will break it out. Then, it can break out my dog while we fend anyone off. Sound like a plan?"

Toron had already begun eating the food. Savouring every bite. His throat was no longer dry. He looked at the two. "I might be able to create some fields. Give us enough protection to run."

Cody was barking madly. He could hear and smell the panic and blood in the air. He began clawing at the cage and biting at it. He could see the dragon flying around.

The dragon squealed as it continue flying. The handler now panicking. The only reason she wasn't caged was because they forgot to grab one in all the panic so they resorted to holding her. When they mentioned a tranq, she went crazy. She began to fly towards the dog. She promised to help her master in any way possible.

Tucker raised an eyebrow at both Kytha and Toron before saying, "Nobody is going to be able to break your dog out any cages. They'll no doubt have the same lock that the handcuffs do and require an agent to open them. My suggestion? Let's 'borrow' our friendly agent from before and have him help us get their cages unlocked. Plus, we'll need an agent's watch just to get into the labs where the dragon is being kept. Your dog won't be in the same place. I'm not sure where they keep any animals around here though. Still, the dog is completely normal, so they wouldn't have put him in the labs for any particular reason."

Grinning at Vulcan's comment about Russians drinking them, he then said in reply, "I think I'll pass on drinking this stuff." Once Vulcan returned with a grand total of five bottles, Xander waved him off and said with a grin, "Nah, mate, this is more than enough for me." At this rate, he'd have five molotovs at the ready if they were ever needed.

(Also, we're modifying Hayden's actions so there will no longer be bats)

"There is no way Toron is going to help us, but you never know when it comes to Hayden." Amelie paused to think. Hk would she get into contact with them? No way was she reactivation Vulcan's watch they would just use that to get in and out of places. Getting tired of standing, there was enough room in that dome of her to sit down. ~In this chaos Vulcan would probably go make sure Xander is ok.~ She smiled. Xander may not have his com on but he still does have his watch. She sent him a message. 'If Vulcan comes to check up on you, which I don't doubt he will, tell him this. We have a gifted prisoner who can alter Hayden's memories to forget he even had his gift. The thing is she won't do it unless we can guarantee her saftey. The only person we know who could do that is Toron. If he thinks the boy in any chance will help I will message you where our stronger healing serums are.' Sent. "I will let you know when a response comes." Amelie said. Now all she had to do was wait.

Hearing his watch going off, Xander furrowed his brows and then held it up to his face before checking the message and reading it. Once he finished reading it, he instantly put his arm down and then looked at Vulcan before saying, "We need Toron's help. Apparently, Amelie now has a Gifted, who can alter Hayden's memories about his Gift and possibly prevent him from killing everyone he sees. Problem is, the Gifted refuses to help unless we can guarantee her safety, which would require Toron's shields. Any idea if we'd be able to convince him to help us?"

Vulcan listened to what Xander was telling him and at the same time was running his hand through his hair and down his face. When Xander was done talking, it took him a moment to think. "The one we need to convince in Kytha. Her brother will do whatever she tells him to. But Toron is weak. He's been in solitary for the past two or three days. He can't even stand on his feet yet." he said, simply letting everything that was on his mind out. Thinking aloud has provided some good results in the past. He began to pace through the room. "And Kytha... she still has feelings for that man. She won't be happy about him forgetting her. And what if that memory erasing procedure doesn't last for long? He'll go after Kytha as well." he made a pause. "I should let her know about this before the situation out there gets even worse. Are you going to be alright?" he asked and would wait to hear his answer before going out to inform Kytha.

Xander listened to what Vulcan said in return and merely nodded in response to his final question. As he hardly knew Kytha, Toron, or Hayden himself, he couldn't possibly be any help in trying to convince any of them. He didn't even know of this Gifted, who supposedly could alter Hayden's memories. He had no idea if it would be permanent or if it would be temporary. Nor did he know if altering said memories would erase Kytha from Hayden's mind as well. On top of all of this, they would no doubt need a way to restrain Hayden while all of this was happening. Xander could only hope that Piper would be up to the job in that, as she seemed like the perfect match for holding down Hayden with all of her immense strength and such. Looking down at his watch, Xander then began to write out a response to Amelie, saying, 'Vulcan is going to try and convince Kytha to let Toron help us. He's worried that she won't agree, since Hayden might forget about her in the process of his memories being altered. That, and it's not certain if the altered memories will be permanent or temporary. Now, where are those serums you mentioned?' Once he sent the message, Xander let out a small sigh and then gently rubbed his eyes, wary of the cuts still remaining.

Vulcan sighed and looked at Xander one last time, managing a small smile. "Wish us luck." he muttered, then walked through the door, shutting it behind his back and running down the hallway as fast as he could go. His head was a mess from all the doubt. Doubt about Kytha agreeing, about Toron being able to help, about this gifted being able to do it, about this plan being a lie in the first place.

Amelie's watched beeped and she read the message. 'I don't know if any of the nurses stay but it's in the back room. You need the watch to get in. It is jn a blue container.' "Hey Larassa, they are worried that the memory change won't be permanent. Also could we make him forgot Kytha?"

Xander nodded at Vulcan, and then said after him, "Good luck, mate." The moment Vulcan left the room, Xander's watch beeped again. Looking down at it, he read the message and then closed his eyes for a moment before he gingerly swept the bed sheets off of himself. Seeing the heavily bandaged legs and feet, Xander winced slightly, but knew he'd have to deal with the pain just a bit longer. Slowly, he swung his legs over the edge of his bed and then placed his feet on the ground, already wincing at the small, but sharp pains from the cuts on the bottom of his feet. Taking a deep breath, he then slowly pushed himself off of his bed and onto his feet. Wincing again at the pain, Xander was almost relieved to find that while it stung a bit, he could handle the pain. At least, that's what he thought until he took a step. Gasping, Xander nearly doubled over, as pain shot up his leg from simply taking a step. This was going to to take longer than he'd originally expected.

Larassa heard Amelie over the com and then asked Rosalyn, "Do you know for sure that the memory change will be permanent?" She needed to ask the more important questions first. She could address Kytha after she was certain that Rosalyn could ensure the memory alteration would be permanent.

"Of course." Rosalyn scoffed. "Who the hell do you think I am?" Asking her that question was an insult, she was the best at what she did and worked her ass off to get herself there.
