Dame De La Chance
Dame de la Chance
[ This is a horror based Roleplay based for 1x1.]
Radley scooped up her cat, Paws, in her arms gently as she watched her mother and father slide the final packed suitcases into the back of their mini-van. Another long, not-necessary vacation was ahead of the two, and of course, they were leaving Radley behind. With a short sigh, the girl fingered over her cat's paw, before he became irritated and flicked his tail, demanding with the glimmer of his yellow eyes that he wanted free. She set him down and watched him toddle away with a grimace pulled across his features. He pressed onward out the cat door, and disappeared into the thick brush of wood outside the home. Being more of a well funded and wealthy family, their summer home was surrounded by dense forest that shaded most of the house and kept it cool during the warm days that fell step by step each day. A glistening lake set out the background of this fairy tale home with its murky green depths and glittering surface. Radley placed her palm dramatically against the glass window of the twin doors leading out to the patio that faced the lake. Her crystalline eyes watered only slightly from the fading suns glare, though it had about another hour before it would finally settle over the trees and disappear for the night.
Radley found it unbearably hard to keep herself in one spot for too long. Her need to move about the house and simply touch things was ridiculous. Turning her back from the french twin doors, she let the thin white silk curtains fall into their place, casting a long shadow of faded sunlight across the mahogany floorboards. Some areas of the floor cracked or whined under her weight, but she didn't seem to notice. The only thing she was curious of now was the sound of a car pulling down the dirt road, where her parents had up and left just a few minutes before. Had they forgotten something? Radley peered out the window closest to the front door and frowned, noticing that another silver car was pulling into the summer home just barely down the dirt road - the only other home for about a mile. She pulled on the first pair of walking boots she saw, and laced them properly as quickly as she could before stepping outside onto the front "lawn". She eyed suspiciously over the new-coming car, and decided against approaching the person or peoples that would eventually emerge from the vehicle. But instead, she makes it rather obvious that she needed help pulling up the garage door, that for some reason, doesn't use the modern technology of an automatic opening system. Instead, you had to grip it tightly and shove it upwards, which didn't seem to be easy for the small girl.
