Talvin started to like travelling with others again, now that they felt at ease with him. He felt it wouldnt last long after Rivendell though.

Talvin kept close to Toxin, more or less because he trusts Moon to get the job done. He needed to get a new sword and one of elven make was better than man made. Doubting thy true power is weakness. And showing it off is beyond stupid at this point. One more issue, there is more magic in the air than the elves themselves are.

Talvin started to feel uneasy at that. "Does anyone get the vibe that there's a user of magic other than Glimmer nearby?"

Moon looked back, slightly concerned. "The elves use magic, but I can ask." He said, then asked the elf something. The elf frowned then said something quickly. Moon's eyes widened slightly. "Um....So, yeah. He says they've had visitors recently. I don't know if they are still here or who they are...." He said, replying to the elf, who shook his head.

Glimmer watched Talvin for a while then spoke up. "If you aren't a Mage, how can you sense magic?" She asked, moving closer so they could talk.

(@CAP Ireland if you want me to change what the elf said, then I will, I just wasn't sure what else to say.)

''Let's just get into somewhere with light. The dark hasn't really been that great for us of late.'' Toxin said.

Paton looked at the elf and imagined cutting it up.

(@Shadow , I don't know what you mean. Has the elf found something?

Also, just for referance, lets use this map: http://zam.zamimg.com/lotro/i/images/maps/rivendell.jpg .

We've come in from the Trollshaws end.)

Talvin turned to Glimmer. This is why Talvin wasnt that good at conversation. "Dont you notice it?" He said glancing around the place. "It's like the whole area is alive with something. And I'm not talking about the elves in the trees. There's power here, if you can learn to feel the currents."

At least he learnt more than how to hurt things from the sword. He picked up on Patons remark on darkness. In Talvins case, he had to agree completely.

"Yeah, the moons coming out with the clouds covering the stars at this rate."

Glimmer frowned. "Well of course I can feel it because I'm a Mage, I just didn't know non-mages could feel.....the energy." She said, looking all around as if she could see energy. "Hey, elfy boy, ask how soon we will be there." She called up to Moon.

Moon noodded. "Sure, whatever." He said having so much fun being around elves that he didn't really care what she had to say.

(@CAP Ireland I just wasn't sure if you wanted to control the elf or not. So I was trying not to take over the elf....Sorry, I know I can be confusing sometimes. :) )

(Don't worry about it. If it's ok with you, I'll take control the elves once in Rivendell.)

Toxin had grown weary of waiting.

''Guys, maybe it's just me, but standing around talking to your mate whilst your companions are left exposed is generally a social fopa. Just a thought Moon.'' Toxin gestured Paton over to him.

Paton walked over and leaned in to hear what he had to say.

''Should I invite the new guy along? I mean, he don't seem so bad.'' he whispered. Paton tilted his head a bit, thinking.

''Or...we could just not tell him and bring him along. Just a small white lie...'' Toxin smiled as he spoke. Deception was fun for him.

Paton thought for a bit, then nodded.

''Wait, which idea are you nodding about?'' asked Toxin.

Paton lifted two fingers.

''Ahh, right.'' Toxin grinned.

Talvin didnt know what the others were whispering about. His hearing was good, nice to remember training from a ranger, but not good enough to hear everything. He took a look through his rucksack to see if he had anything worth trading. A number of gold coins from the robbery, some scented oils, a book on hidden maps of tunnels for travelers, some other bits and bobs. The small rubies might be worth something, though almost everything the elves make are better than everything else.

"I'll have to agree with Toxin on that." Talvin said. "I dont like being this exposed."

Moon looked at Toxin. "Oh, right.....Sorry." The elf started leading them and Moon walked with the others instead of the elf. "Sorry about that, it's just so good to talk in elvish again. It's kind of like a taste of home, if you know what I mean." He said, feeling childish and lonely.

Glimmer noticed a slightly michevious look in the way Toxin and Paton were whispering. She silently sent a ball of air to smack them both on the back of their heads. She giggled quietly and went around Moon and Talvin until they were between her and Toxin and Paton.

Toxin and Paton felt the air hit them, but Toxin has no idea where it came from.

''I hate waiting.'' Toxin said.

Paton had guessed who had sent the air blow and send a small ball of hard light to hit her back. It appeared behind Glimmer and hit her head, disappearing on impact.

Miles away in a darkened room the man sits by a blackening flame. His eyes are closed as he watched the group.

These shits...

He smiles.

How I will enjoy killing them...

(This site has a really detailed map of Middle-Earth: http://lotrproject.com/map/#zoom=4&lat=-1070.03023&lon=1442.88816&layers=BTTTTTTTT ).

Glimmer's head jerked foward for no apparent reason. Suddenly she remembered Paton's 'power'. She waved her fingers and a vine wrapped itself around Paton's leg to trip him. Her whole body shook a little from trying to hold in the laughter.

Talvin was getting impatient now. He started to notice the game going on with the blasts of air and light. He tugged his cloak closer making sure it wouldnt flap and show the sword.

"Not to sound rude," Talvin started off, "But maybe we should get indoors by a fire before nightfall comes. The cold can get really harsh in the forest shadows under the night."

Paton fell on his face. Now she was asking for it.

Paton got up and imagined a spike of light piercing her lungs, causing her to--

Toxin helped Paton up.

''I agree with Marius, so if you wouldn't mind Moon, could your friend bring us into Rivendell already?''

as Toxin spoke he tried to calm Paton. It worked.

The elf began walking at a brisk pace. Moon looked at Paton, wondering why he had fallen.

Glimmer couldn't help but let a few chuckles escape before she neutralized her expression. She made a tree limb reach out and give Paton a manly side hug.

Toxin followed the elf.

Paton pushed the tree off and shot Glimmer an evil look before picking his shield up and catching up to Toxin.

Talvin followed suit. Keeping his eyes on the surroundings. His bluff about the magic saved him from Glimmers question, but he felt the truth of it around him. There was a power deep in this place.

((Again, it's MARIUS. Not Malvin xD ))

Glimmer chuckled and followed Paton, keeping annoyingly close to him, but being careful not to step on his heels.

Moon stayed in the back, looking around happily.

As you walk towards Rivendell the gate's open and 8 armed elves march out. After assuming twin consisting of 4 elves each an elf calls down from above the gate.

''Who are you that would seek shelter within our gates?''

An elf garbed in brown plated armour with a silver circlet reveals himself. His left hand rests on his sword that is currently sheathed.

(@Reaper\.44 , I laughed for a good 40 seconds over that. Sorry.)

Talvin kept close to the group. These elves did not look like they were having a laugh anytime soon. He moved closer to Toxin. "I was under the impression you were expected or something." He whispered. "They dont look like a welcoming committee."

Their eyes are on us all. They will discover you eventually. We ain't on the chopping block yet.

''...Moon.'' Toxin did not like the look of the elf staring down at them. He not only reaked of power and status, but also has clearly seen his share of war.

Paton bowed his head. He did not want Elrond to spot him, not after last time...

"Right, um....." Moon spoke the proper greeting in the Elvish tongue then motioned for them to bow. He bent low at the waist and stayed there for a moment before straightening. He continued to speak in Elvish for a little then turned to Toxin. "As the leader, is there anything you want to say for yourself and your companions?" He asked for the elf.

Glimmer curtesyed when Moon did then stood up. She wasn't really sure what the right thing to do was, but she made sure to keep her hand far away from her wand for the Elves' sakes.

Talvin followed suit and bowed towards the armed elves. Looking towards Toxin, he didnt have enough time with Talvin to know about his intentions, save a false name. Then again, a lie is only a lie if one knows its a lie. As long as the elves didnt pick up on intentional false words, they'd take it for honesty and believe his intentions.

Thus is the rules of courts and thrones. If the elves wouldnt kill them, Talvin wondered if the sword would at some point.

''Me, the leader? ...I like the sound of that.'' Toxin walked forward and looked up at the elf on top of the gate.

''Our companion, Moon (don't ask, he seems to think it is a good name), told us that all we're welcome here and that the elves were a kind and hospitable people. So...''

Elrond was not amused.

''If you wish to enter Rivendell then our guard will take your weapons. They will be returned to you soon.''

Talvin knew this part would happen at least. He had to do the same for taverns and banking convoys. Turning his back, he took his cloak off and carefully placed his bow and dagger either side of each other. Keeping it hidden, he placed his morgul blade on top of both of them and quickly wrapped the cloak tightly around his belonging, using the sash from the quiver as a tight knot.

Holding his belongings in one hand, he kept his other hand holding his rucksack.

"You're more than welcome to search us after we hand you our weapons, my lord." He said reassuringly.

Pray your faith doesnt lose your power to the winds. He was, believe it or not.

Moon unbuckled his sword belt and drew his dagger from his boot then handed them to the nearest elf with a smile. "Moon is a translated Elvish name. Don't insult it." He whispered to Toxin, trying not to sound demanding.

Glimmer reluctantly handed an elf her spear, the blades of which had disappeared into the handle. She pulled her cloak closer around herself, slipped her wand into her pants, then handed the cloak over.

Toxin handed over his bow, kissing it goodbye. He took his quiver off and gave it to the same elf.

''Keep them safe...'' he said, looking longingly at his bow.

The vials of poisons were still on his person, but surely didn't count...

Paton handed over his sword and shield. He looked at the elf and winked. He was pretty handsome, for an elf.

The gates opened and the guards took a new formation of two files lining either side of the road.

Behind the gates a bridge with two statues of elven warriors stood on either side of it. On the other side of the bridge was two flights of stairs that lead up to Rivendell.
