''I think I can get up...'' Toxin's was faint as he got up. He remembered little of what had happened, but he had had the weirdest of dreams.

''And how far off route are we exactly?'' he slowly got up and stretched.

"I dont know." Talvin said, tearing a torch from the wall. The fires illuminated the hallway, and runes were seen along the walls. "As far as I can tell, this isnt even part of the route. I cant tell when Bart died at the helm, but at some point when we should have-"

Suddenly, he saw a skeleton. Humanoid, laying on the floor. Another beside it. Then another torn to pieces, and as he stepped further through the cavern hall, he found himself in a large makeshift hall. Only it was more of a mess. The smell of dried blood was in it with grog and other filth.

"Oh...fuck..." Talvin glanced around the area. A table with weapons, coins and old trinkets were lying there in a heap. "Bart...you dumb bastard..."

He turned with another kind of worry in his eyes. "We didnt go too far, we just got forced to a stop mid-way. It's a trading outpost Bart made. The bad part is we're right under Mount Gundabad."

''Sp what your saying is that we're lost?'' Toxin's mask felt funny. He felt it a little and realised it wasn't his mask at all. He lifted Paton's helmet off him and looked into it's empty eyes.

''Why the fuck didn't you do that sooner, ehh? Could have saved us a lot of trouble.'' Toxin smiled as he spoke. Paton couldn't be gone, not really. he would just look after his helmet until they saw him again.

Yeah, that sounds good. I'm sure he'll catch up to us soon.

Toxin put the helmet back on. He'd have to change it a little when he had the time, but for now it worked well enough.

Toxin checked himself for injuries and found a few burns and bruised still ripe. Then he checked his weapons. At least they were alright.

"No, we could have followed further that way." Talvin pointed a finger in the direction the cart was heading. "And before you ask, no we cant try to fix the cart. It operated on a two way system with both pullies being used. I can assume the rest of the tavern crashed down in the basement and took out the mechanisms."

He looked back into the hallway. "For now, we're in orc territory. Or as least the talkative kind. Though how did Bart even broker a deal with them?"

''Worry about that later. Get us out of here.'' Toxin wasn't enjoying the closed in space surrounding him.

Moon gagged and scrambled out of the cart when he saw Bart. He saw the skeletons and nearly freaked out. He leaned against the wall with his back to everyone else trying to pretend he was somewhere else. He touched the circlet Elrond had given him. He took a deep breath and tried to calm down. Glimmer touched his shoulder and he shrugged her off. "I'm fine." He said quickly, straightening.

Glimmer backed away from Moon and saw Toxin examine his injuries. "Do you want me to fix those?" She asked, motioning to his bruises and burns. She checked to make sure she still had her wand and breathed a sigh of relief when she felt it securely in her belt.

''Could you?'' replied Toxin. He hadn't thought she would have been able to.

Seeing Moon's circlet Toxin had an idea.

''Moon, put it on. You might see a way out of here...''

Talvin raised an eyebrow when Toxin mentioned the circlet. "See a way out? Why? Is that-" His eyes widened immidiately. "The helmet! Of course!"

Putting the helmet back on, he tried to focus his eyes in the dark. Unfortunately, nothing changed. He tried again, still nothing. Resting back against the wall, he heard movement. He snapped his neck to the walls surface. The footsteps were really faint but they were there.

"Movement. I can hear them." Talvin said quickly. "At least the helmet can do its job. From the footsteps I'd say...at least 2 score or so."

Talvin didnt know what else to do with orcs other than the obvious. With the numbers down to four, even with a magic user, they'd be overwhelmed with ease.

"Moon, can you see with that thing on?"

Moon put the circlet on. He scanned the cavern and pointed confidently at on of the tunnels. "That's the one. And yes, Talvin, I can see really well in this. Good idea, Toxin....." He said, before going to the tunnel that he had pointed at. "It smells better than some of the other passageways too." He remarked.

Glimmer pulled out her wand and murmured the spell to heal Toxin's injuries.

((Do you want me to roll for it or does the spell just work?))

(Out of combat rolling isn't really necessary except for doing something BIG. )

Toxin felt most of his injuries begin to hurt less. His chest especially felt fantastic.

''Cheers Glimmer.'' Toxin readies his bow and loads up an arrow ''I'll be right behind you Moon.''

Talvin's heart lightened. "Less of a smell means they use it less often. We can follow through there." Moving away from the wall, he kept the torch close and moved next to Moon. "I'll take point, but I'll need your eyes in case we've got trouble ahead."

With that, he walked carefully through the dark, the torch guiding him. Step by step, the smell was lessening and sounds were being heard. Moving through the tunnels made sounds from the footsteps, but as long as they were careful, they wouldnt be spotted by whatever was with them.

Moon nodded. "Okay..." He was slightly nervous being in front, since he really wasn't much of a leader. He touched his sword hilt and felt a little better. He tried to lighten his footsteps, but since there were four of them it didn't really make a difference.

Glimmer smiled. "Thanks." She said, following Toxin. She was about to put her wand away, but changed her mind when she heard noises up ahead. "What's the game plan if we meet someone along the way?" She whispered.

''I'd imagine lots of pointy things to the face should do the trick. Nothing fancy, just slice-dice-run. That good with everybody else?'' Toxin asked. He noticed some of their weapons glowing slightly and pointed to them with one hand whilst raising a finger to his face with the other, hoping they understood he meant they should shut up.

The 2 Uruk we're a good 20 meters away from them, sitting in shadows. The smaller of the two, Snitch, thought he smelt something.

''You sure we're alone down ´ere?'' he asked.

''You scared, ain't ya?'' Dorgoth laughed as he spoke, spit wetting his lips under the helmet. He pulled his shield closer.

''I ain't scared of nothing, just thinking I am...'' Snitch looked around putting a hand to his dagger ''The air don't's smell right's all...'' he looked around.

The area they were in was well lit one side with a tunnel out into the cart area (i.e.: where we are) and an opening just next to them on the badly lit side of the room.

Talvin stopped in his tracks, hearing the voices instantly. He gently put the torch down and followed Toxin's lead. Uruks. He was expecting Gundabad orcs. Someone must have forced them out or was under new management. How? When?

It didnt matter now. They had to get past them. Unsheathing his bow, he drew an arrow and mouthed to Toxin "On Three..." He raised his bow and kept it steady. He pulled back slightly, but gently. He needed to take his time and do it right.

(Taking turn aiming)

Talvin +5 to land next hit.

Toxin was not the kind of man who rushed into a fight. He was hardly a brawler at all. he sat back and tactically shot at weak points. Paton was the brawler.

But Paton wasen't here anymore.

And Toxin was mad about that.

He quickly put the arrow back in its quiver and the bow in its place and drew his sword.

''For Paton.'' he whispered. Then he charged forward at the Uruks ''COME AND GET IT!!!''

Seeing the man-swine running at them, the Uruks jumped up.

Dorgoth grabbed his shield and brought it up, protecting himself.

Snitch moved behind Dorgoth, ready with the knife.

Toxin...

jumped on Dorgoths shield but was unable to actually attack the Uruk.

Drogoth picked Snitch up with his spare arm and...

threw him at the man.

''Stab 'im already.'' he growled.

Snitch landed, rolled and then was up. He was a small, cowardly thing, but Dorgoth had a way of making him fight by simply taking away his ability to run.

Glimmer pulled out her spear just as Toxin shouted and ran forward. She shoved Moon out of her way and took aim with her spear. She threw it and...

It missed the Orcs completely. She huffed a sigh and stood back to give the others more space for now.

Moon drew his sword when Talvin readied his bow. He moved over so the Toxin could get by, then Glimmer pushed him over even more. When Glimmer moved back he went for the larger Orc's legs with his sword....

and hit his mark but it didn't do much.

Dorgoth, seeing the spear, quickly picked it up. He ran forward a little and, holding the spear at the end of it's shaft, swung it a Moon from a distance. It...

Snitch ran forward, knife in hand and swung at Toxin. He...

Toxin: 85

Toxin grabbed the Uruks dagger and turned it on the Uruk, stabbing him in the neck.

Snitch fell to the ground clutching his knife. He hardly felt the blood rushing out between his fingers before he lost consciousness. He would never regain it.

Talvin wanted to do it right for once, but with everyone dancing around making noise, they were bound to get attention. He had Dorgoth in his sights and released the arrow...

He drew his sword to join the fray.

Dorgoth saw the archer a second before he let the arrow fly. Lowering his shield as quickly as possible he

blocked the shot.

Toxin turned his attention to the other Uruk. Seeing the Uruk swinging at Moon on one side and ignoring Talvin approaching him from the other, Toxin attempted to knock the Uruk towards Talvin...

Dorgoth heard the human coming and prepared for being hit by putting his weight towards his incoming attacker. When Toxin finally did shove him Dorgoth...

was unable to hold his place. He stumbled away from Toxin and Moon and fell a meter or two ahead of Talvin. As he hit the ground he had been unable to keep hold of his shield and Glimmers spear.

Moon saw the spear and...

rolled out of the way with ease. He moved out of the way quickly when Toxin shoved the Orc towards Talvin.

Glimmer snatched her spear when the Orc dropped it, angry at herself for loosing it in the first place. She put the spear away and gripped her wand firmly.

Seizing his chance, Talvin jumped upon Dorgoth and pointed his Morgul Blade on the tip. The uruk could see the blade and Talvins face, but it didnt matter at the time to him. He pressed it to his throat and kept himself centered with his weight, making sure the uruk couldnt jump off without cutting himself at least.

"Glimmer, would you kindly keep that thing pointed at him so you could burn his face if he tries something?" Talvin asked, keeping the sword-point on the throat. He locked eyes with it. "How do we get out?" He asked darkly.

''I can't says, only shows!'' Dorgoth whimpered, scared for his life.

Toxin walked over to the Uruk he had killed and pulled the dagger from it's throat. It was a shitty little thing, but would be a good enough for a free throwing knife or dagger. He stored it underneath his quill and searched the Uruk for other supplies.

"Either say it or you'll say no more." Talvin replied with anger. While he had him on the ropes, he had other questions anyway. "What's with you bastards opening trade with Sprat anyway? I thought you guys killed on sight on anything other than yourselves!"

''I don't know nuthing, I swear! I was taken down here with Snitch. They brings us food and we watch the passage. Thats it. I remember the way out a little, but not to tells it, just walkin it.'' Dorgoth felt that there was something weird about this group.

''You might need a Uruk anyways. They'll smell you miles off if your stink ain't masked by the smell of Uruk.''

''So? We could just cover ourselves in your blood.'' Toxin walked over to Talvin.

''I could poison him and tell him we have the antidote. He might be trustworthy then...'' he whispered.
