"But maybe we should also finish sleeping first," says Hakrum. "We might be better prepared for a fight if we're well-rested. What does everyone else think?"

"sounds good" Ronnie says. "being turned into an animal really does a number on you"

ronnie finds a bed and falls asleep in minutes

"Is there like an armory or place where you put weapons? Also, any sources of fire around?"

ill say they have an armory but only phibglib's characters know where.

"Yeah, there’s an armory in the east wing," Henry replies. "But I’m going to have to insist you don’t burn down any part of this place. I don’t think my father would appreciate that."

I whisper to Hakrum "why is she here again? Like we are we letting her work with us?"

"Do you have any information that would turn me strongly against her?" whispers Hakrum. "All I've seen so far is that she's somewhat roguish, brash, and self-interested. That's hardly unforgivable, and what with her being good with a crossbow, I still think she can contribute positively. Plus, it must've been you who brought her to the island; you're the only other wizard here."

"fair point."

 

[Got_Dead]

Credere kicks in the front door and walks in the vague direction of east, trying to find the armory.

Hakrum, Cerralei, and Oliver go to sleep.

A few hours later, Hakrum is in his study, reading a book titled "De Mysteriis Aeternitatis" while he waits for everyone else to awaken.

Loki is still asleep. he could sleep through an earthquake as long as nothing hit him. anyway, he is sleeping, and still dreaming of the cat from the magic academy. he is also asleep on the floor because no one helped him lol.

I wake up and walk over to Hakrum
"what's that you're reading?"

Hakrum looks up and holds up the book so Ronnie can see the title. "'De Mysteriis Aeternitatis', or in English, 'On the Mysteries of the Eternal'. It’s an old family relic. Essentially, it’s a collection of ancient magical theories, many of which have been proven false over the years, but occasionally you find something worth considering. I thought there might be something useful for dealing with Balia or the curse he’s spread, but so far, no luck.” He closes the book and sets it aside. “What about you? Did you sleep well? Still feeling the effects of the transformation?”

"well, I want to eat meat more than I used to, but that's about it."

Hakrum nods. "That's good to hear. I was going to ask if you're up for infiltrating the tower again today, but since you had no luck with it last time, I think maybe I should give it a go."

"And maybe I can come too," says Oliver very quietly as he appears in the doorway. "I feel like I haven't really been useful lately."

Loki wakes up because he was rolling around in his sleep looking for a blanket, but he hit his head on a bed leg. "ow..." Loki sits up and hears hakrum, oliver, and ronnie talking nearby.

"If you can handle yourself," says Hakrum, "I have no objections."

loki mumbles to himself. "ugh. what now?" he gets up and walks toward the group sleepily. "what're we doing?"

"we should cast a fidelius charm on this place so we aren't attacked"

Hakrum nods. "We really should. Do you have much experience with that one?"

 

[BenjaminTD6]

"I haven't cast it before. We should have time to figure it out, since we aren't really in a rush"
after a while of attempting to cast it, I succeed. (taking 20 again)
