Lucille Irebrook

Lucille had suddenly shifted her attention forward looking on as the door was swung open as a man yelled out loudly through the tavern. She looked a bit meek, cowering a bit slipping a few inches under the table. It wasn't as if she really felt threatened by him.... at least as far as she could tell. She didn't really do anything to warrent having any sort of profile. Anything that might be 'shady' with her wouldn't likely be on any sort of record book. Still, she wasn't one who was the most comfortable about conflict as she looked on uneasy about it. Something about it really left her feeling rather unsettled. It caused her to barely even notice the familiar feeling of a little creature climbing on her shoulder, albeit a little different then the one she was use to.

"Taking down the..." She spoke suddenly stopping herself from saying anything more. She had heard about the king though she was always told to not get herself mixed up in such dangerous affairs. She was filled up with even more dread. If there was one thing she was always scolded about it was getting herself into trouble. She wanted to summon him for advice but she knew that would create a scene. It was very likely how intimidating the forces around them were that they would likely take any vague action as a potential hostile act. She looked over to the owl griffen as it sat on her shoulder.

"D... do you think it is going t... turn into a fight?" She asked in a hushed tone, a look of concern on her face. While she was worried a bit about her own safety, she wasn't fond of the notion of others getting hurt. The fact there were so many men present along with it being very unlikely most of the people there had anything to do with the affairs only made her that much more uneasy a fight might break out and unintentionally harm innocent people.

Arabelle sighed at Ari’s brashness. “I forgot how headstrong you can be,” she said with a shake of her head. She stood up and used her cane to navigate to the door, heading out with Ari, Bailey, and Alex. She let Ari handle Elaina when she showed up, summoning her horse. “Bailey, if you’d like, and if Alex is comfortable, he could ride with me so he could be safer and you’d be spared carrying him when he gets tired. Or, you could ride with him and I’ll walk alongside,” she said.

"Beatrice Stormwind, Aegis to king Larthis, and commander of the Siren squad. And your king Alreos has angered my lord. Plus like it or not I'm stuck here for some unknown reason. And our goals align, you wish to kill Alreos and I wish to bring his head to my lord. Think of it, you all seem to like any close range fighters. And I am well versed in combat, plus I fought an Orc in a fistfight one on one. And I won." Beatrice added that last part to convince Ari he needed her.

A dark figure was observing the commotion happening in the tavern. She was positioned in a corner, facing a canvas as she painted slowly. Fortunately, her thick robes covered her rather foreign figure while one of her tentacles raised a brush to paint on the canvas. The word Alreos' brought attention. The man she had been searching for. She slowly peered up out of the canvas before quickly ducking back down after seeing the army. Fortunately, they seemed to use a teleportation spell rather briskly.

It was then that she noticed the group the warriors seemed to be talking to. She slowly left her canvas, standing up with her head still bowed, hiding her visage. She moved closer to the group

"You seek to kill Alreos, no? The so called 'benevolent god'?"

She remained silent for a moment, but not long enough to warrant a response

"I wish to join you. I'd prefer not to be questioned, however."

As he finished up his last bits to his campsite, the human male put his hood down and sighed. His work was quite shotty but it held up on its own and was sturdy so it would work. He sat down against a log he had dragged to be a bench in front of the fire pit. "If only my money lasted longer.." He said with one more sigh.

The human, named Alex, put his sword and shield against the log beside him as he looked down the path. The town was up ahead and he was begging for a comfortable bed. The money he had gotten for saving a few children for some goblins had been enough for the trip, if he didn't stay in any inns. "Why is this life so damn hard...." Alex asked himself as he looked away from the town to see a dwarf walking towards the town.

Alex put his hood back on and had his arm stretched out so it touched the hilt of his sword. He could never be too cautious, especially after seeing that weird girl and her even weirder friend earlier.

"Somthing ain't roight about those two...I bet my axe on it..."
Thruid muttered to himself as he stomped along, not noticing the make shift shelter that was currently in his way.
*Thump*
With one step, the dwarf's foot managed to kick into the make shift shelter, hitting what seemed to be a piece that held it up, effectivly collapsing it.
"Wha-?" The dwarf said, more alerted then startled, reaching for the hammer to his side.
The dwarf would of pulled it out, had he not taken anothe rlook at the situation.
"Grimnir's beard! What's the big idea, Dawri!? Stacking firewood like that!? I could of stoked you rioght in the dongliz if I had been in a hurry!"

Misty sighed when they all went away. "Gone. Good." She didn't flinch when Ari killed that mercenary that threatened them. She was definitely used to it by now. "I have to go. Master needs me. Glad to see you're not insane. Nice to meet you." Tapping the girl's head with a paw, Misty flew off and revealed to the girl who her master was by landing on Ari's shoulder as he talked to the Draconian woman.

Ari & Elaina Waesmor
With Elaina being the interpreter, Ari managed to understand it all. He nodded. "Aye. You're good then. We're moving out now, go get your shit. Double time."
Elaina translated. "Welcome aboard. We have to go before the inquisition shows up again."

Another woman wanted to join, but didn't want to be questioned. Red flags all day. "You saw what happened. If answering a question is too much to ask, my time is too valuable to waste." With the inquisition right there, he'd be DAMNED if he lugged around someone this shady. Ari only had this draconian woman because she couldn't speak English well. Elaina would be sticking close by to shatter the language barrier. Ari began walking out, Elaina following then running ahead.

Arabelle proposed that Bailey ride the horse while she walks. "Nonsense. You're blind. Bailey, you and the child get on my horse. I have alternative methods." Misty jumped down. Glowing white, she grew bigger and bigger until she was massive. "Finally master. You not riding me all this time made me feel like we were growing apart." She said with a purr. A purr at her size though, shook the ground directly under her.
"Stop exaggerating, Misty," Ari said, petting her head. Misty just nuzzled Ari's hand and Ari shook his head with a sigh. He kept petting her though.

Bailey chuckled, "Thanks sweet of you Arabelle. What do you say Alex?"

"Thank you. I'd like to ride with you Arabelle," Alex said as Bailey put him down while she adjusted something under her cloak.

"I can walk, it's fine," Bailey said, before watching Misty change size, "Or I can borrow Ari's horse, that works too." She looked to Arabelle, "I almost forgot how kind you are, it's a nice change." P Paint The Wind Kylesar1 Kylesar1 Bakuyoshi Bakuyoshi GreenEyedStranger GreenEyedStranger

Alex sighed and stood up. "Well... For starters... That was supposed to be my sleeping arrangements... My firewood is over there.." he said as he pointed to the right. "And secondly, it's not my fault you decided to walk off of the path."

With saying that, Alex started to pick up the tarp and such that had collapsed onto the ground. "Might as well try to find a few trees to make this around..." he said while mumbling to himself, not realizing his shield was face out showing his family crest.

"So what is a dwarf doing out here? Don't see much of you guys around." Alex asked as he was halfway through packing his things up, a bit disgruntled.

"Saw more of you up north than here." he said and then sighed realizing something. "Where are my manners... My name is Alex....Alex.... " he almost gave his last name away. "My last name isn't really important..." he said a bit embarrassingly.

Thruid snorted at the knight's remark.
"You were planning to sleep in there? HA! I've seen goblins that built better shelters then that."
The dwarf stepped into the boy's makeshift camp, sight, looking around, examining it, innerwardly critiquing it...
"Vengence, dawri, vengence." The dwarf said, as he came over to the manling's shield. Setting his own shield down with a bit of a thump, he picked up the shield that had been leaning against the log and began to examine it.
Thruid hadn't the faintest clue what the manling's shield stood for, maybe it was one of their clans? Truth be told, the dwarf couldn't tell one manling clan from another...they were too much alike!
Really, the dwarf was looking at the craftsmenship of the shield. It wasn't as shoddy as some of the other manling shields, could still use a dwarven touch, but for what it was worth, it was pretty good...for a manling piece.
"You know, dwari, if ya goin' to commit to somthin', don't half arse it, see it through...." The dwarf said, not even looking back at the boy as he smoothed a hand over the shield. "...not like my kind gots a grudge against you...if we did, I'd know, and we wouldn't be having this conversation."

Anna Dwanne

She passed a soft giggle at the dwarf's expression on human brewery, and in silence was glad that she didn't share to him how she couldn't take even a sip of beer. Anna guessed right when the dwarf fixed a question to her, but she stayed quiet, as she did not notice anything too out of peculiar. She could use magic to sense, but it would be awkward if she use it now, since she is walking in front of the two. And not to mention rude, if she was wrong.

"Somthing ain't roight about those two...I bet my axe on it..."

And when a dwarf bets his weapon on something, she can be sure to be on guard. She need to find a spot to use Clairvoyance and Sight a sort of spell that could sense the aura that comes from the two, but without them seeing it. She put on a soft nod to the dwarf's question, before spotting a recent small trail off the main path. This is the opportunity for her to use it, as she felt that they're far enough to go down the trail without the two's suspicion, and also the place for her to observe them. With a natural stride, she lead the dwarf off the trail, before getting themselves far enough to be out of sight. There is a camp of sorts just a few feet further, as she slowed to a stop on her tracks, letting the dwarf continue on his way.

Okay, time to see.

Resting her staff on the side of a tree, she drew the hood over her head, making sure to cover her eyes, as light blueish orbs gathered around her arms. The small particles of light quickly condensed into an orb of blue light in her right palm, as she brought it inwards, then outwards in a fluid motion to her chest, before it disappeared. And in a softball throwing motion she hurled the invisible orb in her hand forward, just towards the opening of the trail. The ward of sight is placed, invisible to the naked eye. The pupils of her eyes, used to be black, now have turned pale white. And like a third sight, the invisible ward sentry stood watch, looking at all sorts of living aura that emanates from its surroundings.

She could have sworn the dwarf is way ahead of her now, and probably done something or got involved into something. As she could hear a commotion behind her. But she will have to wait and check on the two first, before going back to join him. Her right picking up the her staff, she stood waiting.

Keara frowns and follows the group of adventurers. She seemed to scowl as Ari so rudely spoke with her, then immediately left. Nevertheless, she wasn't about to give up so easily

"Wait. If questions are all that bothers you, then I shall oblige. But it is imperative that I find Alreos. I must go with you."

She spoke in a cold, almost monotone voice, almost interrupting the group of adventurer's speech as they remained on the horses

"I am Keara. Painter, and mage."

She looked up to them. Fortunately for her, her tentacle ridden face was obscured with a veil.

Lucille Irebrook
Lucille seemed a bit uneasy looking upon the dead body though was in some part relieved as it seemed that rather then an all out brawl, things managed to settle down. Still, she couldn't help but glance down feeling a bit uneasy no matter how menacing the man seemed that he was dispatched in such a way. Her eyes focused over to Misty as she blinked at being mentioned worrying she might be insane. She blinked looking a little bit puzzled by the remark before shaking her head watching her take off seeing her fly to her Master. She looked on biting her lip.

Great... I did come off crazy.... She thought, unable but help but look at the group staring at them. A sense of curousity filled her as she saw as they went to leave the establishment. She fumbled with her fingers a bit seeming anxious as she slowly got up. She ventured out, trying to keep some distance, quickly scurrying around to try and hide from the group as she peeked around the corner. Her eye curiously looking at them looking in particular at Misty's supposed Master as well as the group of people, not including that woman who barged in earlier. She looked on, peeping in on them from around the corner keeping herself hidden. She couldn't help but look on, her focus only causing a suddenly jolt to reality to strike her on the head followed by a bit of wussiness as a glowing figure formed landing roughly on her head.

RabbitBird.jpg

"What do you think you are doing missy?" The mystic creature spoke having quite a strong knightly voice behind it despite its rather cute demeanor. It looked to be a strange mix between a Hare and a bird. Its body was covered mostly in fur as long feathers extended out as wings, spread out initially before folding up as he got comfortable upon her head. A relatively long tail flowed from the back side extending out into a puff of fur at the end. The panicked Lucille looked up raising her finger nerviously as to shush him.

"I'm... j... just l.. looking..." She spoke out a bit timidly seeming to show some dread at having been caught doing something she wasn't suppose to do. She glanced over hoping no one heard as she glanced back up to her rather small summon. Her head felt a little dizzy, something that usually accompanied Feir summoning himself in without her aid. It was a side effect that wasn't uncommon though it fortunately only lasted for a brief moment. Fortunately his very existence was light enough it didn't drain out her energy. More often then not she typically always had him by her side as her companion.

"Sure.... just looking. I told you to not get yourself in trouble okay? You always end up getting yourself into affairs that aren't of your own concern and putting yourself in danger." He spoke in a stern though softer voice, coming off far more like the Master despite being Lucy's summon. The summoner pouted a bit lowering her head a bit as in shame.

"I'm... I'm sorry... j.. just c.. can I watch them a little? I'll try and not get in trouble." She spoke softly, nodding her head as he seemed to be less then convinced. He let out a light sigh allowing her to continue to peak on at the group as they seemed to prepare to set off.

Arabelle mounted her horse and scooped Alex up into her arms, helping get him situated. “Comfortable, kiddo?” She rubbed his arm lightly and made sure he was nice and secure. She laughed at Bailey’s words and looked over at her. “Nah, you’re just too used to people like Ari. Now you’re amazed by common human decency,” she teased. She frowned when she heard Keara. This being didn’t sound very trustworthy. “Ari, I think we should just get a move on,” she told him. Even her answers to the questions were so basic that it made her suspicious.

Marianne Basil
It was all of a sudden that Fredrick stopped his footsteps and began staring into empty spaces.

"What's wrong? Did you see something?"

Marianne turned to look, towards the direction of an invisible watcher that she could not see. To the watcher, it could see a dark aura emanating from both her and Fredrick, and their eyes would be glowing in a shad of sinister and malevolent red.

"I don't see anything. It must be your imagination."

Marianne continued onward while oblivious to her watcher, eventually catching up to the rest and spotting the dwarf talking to a boy making camp by the roadside.

"Perhaps I'm meddling, but perhaps you should consider heading to a town. It can be dangerous to camp outside when you're alone. Better to stay in a town when you can help it, and there's a town just down the road."

She said that to the boy with no particular purpose in her mind. It was merely on a whim, a passing moment of kindness one could say. She was unlike Sammaster who only craves destruction. No, more than anything she desired peace, peace brought about by her hands. If anyone here would stand in her way then she'd either bend them to her will or destroy them, but at the moment, they're just people she passed by on her travels.

"Dwarf..." Alex said as he finished picking his things up. "Some things are better left in the past." he said right before the strange woman got to the site.

"Thank you for the advice." Alex said to her. "I dont usually sleep in inns..." He looked to the dwarf to see if he was going to say anything. "But I guess I don't really have a choice now." He said with a small laugh as he took out his satchel of coins to see what he had left. "Seems like just enough..." he said as he went to pick his shield and sword up, the family crest still showing.

He was confident that no one remembered what the crest looked like so he was free to show it off. But he did have to be careful while walking around kingdoms. "So are you both heading there?" he asked the woman and the dwarf.

The dark aura, the red eyes, it spell of a omen, an evil one. She have seen such projections before in her travels, and most of the time these people spell disaster, either to themselves, or others. The dark aura meant a few things to guess, either the person is inherently evil, or possessed by evil, or struck a deal with something evil, or simply the embodiment of a demonic nature. The red eyes meant that they're driven by malice, or blood. Black and red are usually the worst combination of all she have witnessed. And seeing both of them having such, she could only picture the worst scenario.

She shut off the ward when she have seen what she needs to, just right at the moment when the lady shrugged off her companion's actions. Fear ran a chill up her spine, as she hastily pulled off the hood over her eyes, and quick paced herself to the dwarf. Her pupils remained white just as she did so, but only for a while, enough if the young man and the dwarf could see it, but just good enough to return to its original black when the lady and the big man came closer.

But what bad timing to be, that she is unable to tell the young man and the dwarf what she have seen.

"Perhaps I'm meddling, but perhaps you should consider heading to a town. It can be dangerous to camp outside when you're alone. Better to stay in a town when you can help it, and there's a town just down the road."

"Yes, we should be going, the darker the night fall, the more dangerous this place will be."

She continued in support of the lady's words, in tandem with her own wishes ; get to somewhere with more people, away from the evil two. She kept her cool, and prepared to leave ahead of the lady and the big guy once again, hopefully getting to slip a word to the dwarf before anything bad happens. Vengeance might be what the dwarf seek, but its better than evil.

"People like Ari, eh? Yeah, I offer to buy her better armor, her child better clothes, kill off what's troubling her, and give her my horse so no one has to walk. TRULY the lowest of the low." Ari's voice dripped with sarcasm. "Whatever. We'll lodge up in the next town over. As if I couldn't get any lower, I'll buy all the rooms."

He looked to the woman behind him. "The leader has spoken. You're shady. Covered face, answering the question like it's a checklist, with simplistic answers that could cover ulterior motives. You're probably suppressing magic as well. I have a daughter, one has a son." Absolutely nothing about this woman was even the slightest bit trustworthy. It was bad enough getting children mixed in with the inquisition, but insider threats were MUCH worse. This wasn't being paranoid. Twas being smart. "Put yourself in our shoes and ask yourself why I'm not letting you join us."

"We're being watched, Master." Misty said in a low voice
"I can feel it. We'll keep overwatch." Ari said back. Misty took to the skies

The bard wearily dragged himself through the night, moving his tired, aching body to the door of his home. For a second, he simply stood in the light of the mood. He looked as if he had walked out of the mouth of hell itself. His hair was long and unkempt, greasy and knotted from lack of proper cleaning/brushing. His beard was long and just as unkempt. He was covered in dirt, mud, and old blood. He looked as if he was ready to collapse.
Reaching forward, he banged on the wooden door, hoping to stir up some life in his old house, but was met with nothing. He tried a few more times, before giving up and simply opening the door. What he saw broke his heart and puzzled him. The house was empty. Dust covered everything. All of his clothes and belongings were here. But Alex and Bailey were gone. He took a deep breath, and set down his bag, before grabbing some wood from the small pile near the fire place, and lighting a fire, bringing the warm orange glow of light into the home. He stripped off his armor, dropping it to the floor along with his sword and set himself a bath. He needed to rest. Then he could find his family.
Smoke would be rising from the O'Connor residence, the sight apparent from the skies. It would be painfully obvious that someone was in Bailey's old home. Obvious enough for someone to try and investigate if they felt it necessary.

"No I'm just..." Bailey sighed, "Thank you Ari, I'm just really not use to hospitality anymore," She said, saying a sad truth for the past year. "Anyway, Arabelle, may we stop back by Loudwater for a moment? I need to go back to our old home to grab something. I forgot about it when I went to see Kya earlier, and it's rather important," She said. Looking between Ari and Arabelle once again, she felt like she may need to explain further, but bit her tounge. It was just a few item that would help them at least gain some sort of foothold. Alex looked down at his mother from Arabelle's horse, holding onto the other woman's arm as he did so. He bad to wonder what he wanted to get, because she always said they weren't going home for a long time. But, well, it had been a long time, maybe that monster had gone away? The thought made a small smile appear, before he finally answered Arabelle. "Yes, I'm comfy," He satedgiving Arabelle a small but warm smile. “I don’t mind. Ari, let’s go,” she said softly. She held Alex gently. “To Loudwater,” she told Ivy. The horse began to move. “I can’t believe you’re five, kiddo. It seems like it was only a week ago when I heard that you were born.” She rubbed his back gently and tried to make sure he felt safe. “Ari, do you have a plan? We kinda just waltzed out, but how are we gonna do this?”

Keara frowned behind her veil. This was the closest chance she had at finally meeting Alreos

"I cover my visage as to not startle you. I am not one of your kind. But nevertheless-"

As the party completely ignored her and began moving on, she started following, beginning to get frustrated

"Wait! Please, hear me out. I can pay you, if that is what you desire. All I seek is passage to Alreos. I am a powerful mage, if you'll have me."

The sudden return of the two manlings kinda annoyed the dwarf, especially their judgment of his skill.
"Perhaps you are, grmgi, perhaps you should be minding your own business."
The dwarf grunted, then the female manling from before made her comment in support of the smaller manling.
"You grmgi, always scared of somthing! Even the dark! Grimir's axe, you lot wouldn't last a day in my hold."
Still grasping the manling's shield, the dwarf then grabbed his own, turning to the manling that the shield belonged to.
"C'mon, dawri, for your troubles, I'll have her buy you a drink..." Thruid was referring to Anna. "...the grmgi made some coin off of ma hard work, only fair for her to share the profits."
With that, the dwarf took off for the town, namely the nearest tavern, with the manling's shield still in hand.

w/ Feir (Summon)

Lucille quietly watched on, peeking her one eye over from the corner. She could tell they were setting off though she was a bit too far to really be able to listen into what they were saying. She stared on, not sure why she was so captivated by it all as she looked on intrigued. She felt a light pat on her head, making her cringe a little as she glanced up looking at Feir as he remained perched on her head. His ears fidgetted, focusing in to listen on the group speak having much better hearing due to his long rabbit like ears.

"You know, they know you are here right? You aren't doing a very good job of sneaking. Almost as bad as the time you went peeping on those guys in the hot springs..." He spoke with a surprising bit of playfulness in his voice at the end. As serious as he could be he would sometimes let it slip to tease at her. It was fun to embarrass Lucille sometimes and the red coating her cheeks did just that as she shook her head embarrassed. He knew full well she had done it unintentionally though he purposely pretended otherwise.

"I... I didn't know they w.. were! I wouldn't do such a thing." She spoke flailing her head a bit flustered before seeming to calm down a bit still keeping the shade of red on her cheeks. "R... really? I.. I didn't mean to come off like I'm spying on them... I'm just curious...." She spoke fidgeting with her fingers. She suddenly was taken back glancing over seeing Misty suddenly take off into the sky with her Master, looking on in awe. Her eyes shifted down to look at the others seeming uncertain as to what she should do next. She looked towards Misty in the sky before glancing up to Feir questioningly.

"No... I can't turn big and into some creature you can ride. If you are really insistent on watching them its best to probably just talk with them... or if you have to be all creeper... they are heading over to the next town. It might be a bit obvious you are following them... not to mention its not like you have a horse or anything you can ride... and well I doubt she will let you climb onto her back to take you... not to mention that would be a good way of exhausting yourself out should some form of danger come while traveling there." Feir spoke seeming to give into Lucille's desire to look on at the strange group of crusaders. Lucille simply nodded lightly, peeking out again from around the corner with her one eye to watch on in quietly.

"Gods wish I had my stuff still. I swear whoever took my stuff will pay for that! The robes were a gift from a human noble who's life I saved! And the mask was just made. Maybe I'm not as upset about that as I am the robes. Actually why am I upset about losing those?" She asked herself in Draconic before deciding to switch to english. "Why hunt King?" She had her reasons given Alreos was public enemy #1 in her land but she had not the slightest clue why the other people wanted to kill him.
