Ari Waesmor
Prancing Pony

"Upon seeing your child, I was gonna give you the courtesy of not calling you that again while he was around. Not now though." He looked at the child. "I am Ari Waesmor if your parents hadn't told you my real name yet. Other names I've been called are Douche-Dick, Scales......." He got distracted. "Oi, what's with the blindfold. You blind now?"
Elaina kicked Ari's leg as she moved in front of him. "Forgive my father's rudeness, both in his bluntness and in not introducing me. I am Elaina, his daughter. He's never used the term Child Slave before. This is the first and LAST........." She gave Ari a glare. "........time I'll hear it."
"No promises, kid."
Misty nipped his ear. "Rude master. You didn't introduce me either." She started pulling on it. Ari sighed in annoyance.
"Alright. Jesus fuck." He pointed to them. "These beauties are Elaina and Misty. Elaina is a Valkyrie in training. Misty here is my familiar."
"At your service!" Misty exclaimed with a purr.
Ari sat down and both Elaina and Misty ran off. "What's this about another death march?" He said suddenly

Misty flew over to the girl seemingly speaking to herself. She touched the girl's head with her paw, trying to get her attention. "Err......are you ok? Master can take you to a hospital........."

Elaina heard broken English and was overcome with curiosity. She walked up to the woman without caution. She was non human by the dialect and accent. "You don't know where you are?"

"You could just drop it entirely, make this whole thing a lot easier," Bailey mentioned, "But reguardless, this is Alex." The small boy on her lap gave something that seemed to be a wave, but Ari and other newcomers showing up all at once was a little overwhelming. Anyway, Alex looked to Arabelle.

"I'm five," He answered, holding up his hand to show her. He already felt more comfortable with Arabelle. But Air mentioned parents, so Alex looked back to the strange man, "I only have mommy, daddy is..." He paused, forgetting that is made Bailey sad when he brought it up.

However, she continued, "Ari, Tyr went missing," She told him, looking down at Alex who had gone back to leaning on her. Anyways, after a moment, her gaze went to Elaina, "It's nice to meet you. Though, is hardly expect him to have a kid." That was true, it actually did surprise her. But, he could have mentioned the last time they were all taking on an evil tyrant, but some of that had slipped through the cracks.

Then, Elaina and the owl griffen ran off to other people in the tavern, and Ari sat down, asking Arabelle about the "death march". "Yeah, now that we're all here, why don't you tell us about what you're planning?" Kylesar1 Kylesar1 P Paint The Wind

Gradius
Meanwhile, somewhere not to far from the town our heroes are meeting in
Gradius was stumbling through the forest. Why was he stumbling through the forest? He was drunk. As it turns out, alcohol does not do anything good to a symbiote. Of course, Gradius was also insane so how much of him stumbling was the drink and how much of it was just him was unknown. At least the human host was taking most of the hangover.

"Yes, yes. Something powerful this way lies." Gradius muttered to himself. Wether he actually sensed something powerful or was drunk was again, a question that could not be answered. "Find it we must. Attack! Take! Kill if cannot take!" And then the moghty Dark Lord Gradius, scourge of many places and full fledged murderer fell over from driunkness, to sleep it off.

Beatrice shook her head in response. There was no use in lying. Even if a little girl was the one telling her. "No memory. Wake up in forest. Situation unknown." Beatrice told the girl without holding back. But at the moment chose to keep her full story wrapped up. That and she did not know that many human words to say all of that. But she decided to ask one more thing "Know draconic?" she asked with some hope someone here had a grasp on the language.

“Yeah, I’m blind now. And be nice to Bailey, at least in front of Alex,” she said softly. She turned to the boy and smiled. “You’re getting so big! I remember when I heard that you had been born, it feels like it was yesterday.” She turned to Elaina. “It’s so good to meet you, Elaina.” When she ran off and was left with Ari and Bailey, she took a deep breath. “It’s just what you said. Another death march. We have to get into Alreos castle and fight him, there must be a way to take him down. We can’t let this go on when we can stop him.”

"Arabelle, I'd follow you to hell and back, but I don't know how helpful I'd be," Bailey said with a sigh, "I have a bounty on my head for a crime I didn't commit, and a monster is hunting me and Alex, I'd only put you guys in danger." She had a point of course, but the groups could possible handle the troubles that came with it. They had all dealt with ring wanted fugitives almost five years ago, and Bailey had been able to avoid everyone after her for almost an entire year. "I'm ready to fight, but..." Her sentence trailed off, her eyes once more going to Alex. He was important, and she'd be forced to bring him along, at least until they could get to Toron. Then he could stay with his grandfather. "We need an actual plan, not how we did it last time. We got lucky, extremely lucky. But Aleros isn't like Leon." P Paint The Wind Kylesar1 Kylesar1

The dwarf snorted at the manling's comment about the fee.
"You know dawri, if ye goin' ta loot the dead, be honest with yourself; your not foolin' anybody with that act."
Thurid didn't know who she was kidding, maybe herself, but certainly not him. It was pretty plain to see, least, it was plan to the dwarf...he's seen this in his human allies before, burying and praying for the dead while at the same time taking from the dead.
Taking his pipe out once more, he finally looked over to the female manling.
"You know where I can get a good drink, dawri?"

"You know dawri, if ye goin' ta loot the dead, be honest with yourself; your not foolin' anybody with that act."

"They're dead, the dead needs no coins of this life."

Anna replied rather straightforwardly, "And besides....people do get paid by relatives for conducting the rite for dead." A smirk shot up her face as she said so, before she turned her back towards the dwarf. "I'm no saint if you're asking, but I do intend to get paid for services." She was of course being a slight sarcastic to the dwarf, but she's not all bad either.

"You know where I can get a drink, dawri?"

"I know a place, the ONLY place that you could get to before sundown for a drink." She paused, before turning her back against the dwarf. "But I better keep it to myself, we're strangers after all."

"Could you even keep up the pace ? I wonder."

Saying that last sentence, she took off the road. She was baiting him with words of course. But humour do travel strangely between races. Maybe the dwarf will take it as an insult, maybe a joke. Who knows ? All she knew was she is going to take off from the main path now, and start heading towards Loudwater, and hopefully make it there by sundown.

The dwarf started laughing hysterically.
"You grmgi really are all the same, arn't ya?" The dwarf managed to get out inbetween fits of laughter. "Haha! Ye put on all this theatrics of respects but in reality, you cheating them out of gold! Haha!"
He kept on laughing as the manling walked away, thinking she was being clever. The sounds of his laughter echoed through the forests even when the dwarf had disappeared from sight.
Eventrually, Thruid calmed down enough to put his pipe back in his mouth.
He didn't need the manling, he could smell the alcohol from downwind. Dwarves have many keen senses, including one that helps with sensing alcohol.
Figured some company might have been nice, but this manling thought she was a wultelgi, the wazzock. Why any one would think to copy a wultelgi, much less the entire elgi race was beyond him. They oughta learn more from the dawi, maybe then they're little kingdom won't be falling apart.
The dwarf finally got off his tushy, and began making his way to the Prancing Pony.
There be more grudges to settle today and more vengeance to be had.

Marianne Basil

For a few days now she was on the road. Though she had originally traveled by carriage, the damned thing broke down part way, forcing her to continued her journey on foot. She could have taken the horses, yes, but her body is in such a state that riding on one would never fail to bring her constant pain, really, anything other than a smooth ride would pain her. Her old, yet paradoxically fresh wounds made it painful for her to move too much. Why go through all this trouble, she thought briefly, but the answer was obvious. It was because she doesn't have any of her followers stationed at somewhere as back-watered as Loudwater at the moment and she has to take care of this affair herself, she has to see them with her own eyes.

As she walked down the path with an armored man known as Fredrick, one of her oldest follower and dedicated bodyguard by her side, she spots a pair to travelers, an odd pair of dwarf and human, and decided to as for directions, not that she's lost, but to make sure that she was heading for the right direction. And who knows, perhaps she may learn something.

"Excuse me, may I have a moment? I was wondering if you know the way to a small town called Loudwater."

Marianne spoke to the dwarf while Fredrick move to his front, obstructing him from moving onward so that Marianne would have an easier time talking to the dwarven male.

"Fredrick, don't be so rude! This is not an interrogation, I'm just asking for directions."

Having been rebuked, Fredrick moved out of the way, his expression unchanged from that same stoic, or rather, emotionless look.

"I'm apologize for my friend's rudeness. Like I said, I would like to know which way is to Loudwater. And additionally, have you perhaps seen this woman around?"

Marianne held out a wanted poster, on it depicted a woman, a half-elf. Her name, Bailey O' Connor. She is the reason why Marianne came down here herself. A follower of her's mixed amongst the citizenry had by chance spotted this woman heading towards this way and immediately contacted Marianne. Suspecting that Bailey may be heading towards Loudwater, where she had once settled down, Marianne made haste to come here so she that could finally meet one of the legendary crusaders, Alreos' former champions and perhaps the few who stand a chance to hinder him, face to face.

Lucille Irebrook

Lucille watched as Beatrice wandered in. She stared at her, hearing her speak in what seemed to have some bit of an accent, assuming at the very least it wasn't their main language of choice. It was the perfect thing for a linguist such as herself! The only problem was her feet didn't carry her to stand up and walk towards her. She kept still and hesitant despite giving into the notion of trying to interact with others. She tapped her fingers on the table looking nervous. Silence came from her lips as she seemed to look down hesitating greatly in doing what she was suppose to do.

I thought ya' were gunna go talk'in missy? The dwarven voice spoke out in her mind. Lucille looked up a bit flustered shaking her head fumbling for an excuse as she continued to seemingly talk to herself.

"Th... thats.. I... I'm j.. just getting ready... and.. .um... preparing..." She spoke fidgeting a bit more doing a poor job of hiding how nervous she was trying to go up and talk to someone on her own. The notion of screwing things up and coming off stupid or upsetting someone was a worry she just couldn't shake from her mind overthinking things far too much.

Yer not fooling anyone, not get ur rump up missy and... The voice suddenly tappered off as a large paw suddenly was lifted up touching Lucille's head. The girl blinked a bit confused looking over towards a large owl... no a griffon... no it was an ow griffon? Yes that made a lot more sense what it was. She looked at it not seeming all that phased by it compared to what most would react to the sight of such a creature suddenly placing its paw upon their head. She simply looked at it a little confused by its words, tilting her head to the side looking at it with her one eye.

No... I didn't summon it... and it said it's Master... She thought briefly before shaking her head a bit.

"Ah.. n... no I'm quite fine! Really, I'm quite healthy as it is!" She spoke seeming to show an actual good deal of composure after her initial stumbling to find her words. It was likely the fact Misty was an owl griffon that kept Lucille from being so nervious speaking to her. She looked on with some curiosity, a light smile slipping onto her lips as a sense of excitement filled her seeing such an exotic creature. She fought back her child-like glee not wanting to come off like some jerk gawking at her. It was quite clear she was an intelligent being after all, the last thing she wanted to do was come off disrespectful. She glanced over only briefly to see Beatrice now speaking to a younger girl before turning her attention back to Misty.

"I'm just um... figuring out what to do with myself is all." She spoke nerviously lifting her hand up to scratch at the back of her head with an awkward smile on her lips. She knew better then to say she was talking to some voice in her head. She had already a few encounters where she was questioned about her own health before and given what Misty asked when she came up to her she seemed already quite suspicious of her mental well-being.

The clanking of the dwarven armor could be heard as he moved along the trail, when it was blocked by two more manilings.
One of the manlings looked like one of the manlings from earlier...except his face was pre-smashed.
The smaller of the two humans was the first to speak to him, then the bigger one got in front of her. Thruid raised an eyebrow as he eyed the manling in front of him... his eyes...something was off with eyes..the dwarf felt like he'd seen this somewhere before...somewhere the damned kazaki'dum were involved...but maybe it was nothing, for all he knew it was how manlings around here looked.
...
Or maybe not.
"Never heard of it..." Thruid answered with a bit of grunt, then looking at the poster the female manling now held out. "...never seen her in my life either."
The dwarf looked back at the male manling, narrowing his eyes on him.
"Not that this is any of my business, grmgi, but is your friend over there alright?... He looks like he's seen a ghost."

“I know, and this isn’t the fully developed plan. I wanted to work with you. Bailey, I would go to the mat to defend you, and I know Ari would do the same. We can protect you, and you’ve protected yourself for a long while now. Besides, we aren’t going to be fighting constantly, Alex will be safe. We could also find someone to care for him, Ari knows hundreds of people, and he has tons of connections.” Arabelle didn’t know about Father Bishop, but she wanted Bailey with her. “I can’t fight on my own, I can handle one or two opponents, but without my eyes I can’t do anything like I used to,” she said softly.

"Ah, that is a shame. Sorry to have bothered you."

Marianne looked on ahead, thinking that she may have better luck speaking to the human a little further ahead. However, she stopped when the dwarf started to ask her about Fredrick of all things, sounding somewhat concern about this current state.

"Oh, Fredrick? He has that look from the day I met him. Isn't that right Fredrick?"

To her words, Fredrick nodded silently, he does not speak, not were there any shifts in his expression.

"Again, sorry to have bothered you."

With that, Marianne moved on, following after the human female ahead with a slow pace, her wounds are beginning to act up after the long day of travelling.

The door to the tavern opened and a man in white robes walked in, his face old and with a white scruffy beard. He stood in the corner, unnoticed by everyone, but he listened to a peculiar conversation going on, until he yelled across the tavern, making everyone quiet down.

"I've heard enough, if you wish to 'take down' my lord," The Inquisitor made air-quotes with his fingers, "You are welcome to try, but maybe it'd be wiser to first discuss it with him? Or are you so prone to outbursts of violence that you would rather attack His Highness unwarranted?"

The door of the tavern was now open, revealing the cold of the night outside. The people were visibly upset by the sudden and weirdly quiet arrival of what looked to be a large contingent of the Ravinian army with a small Inquisitorial force. At least fifty army troops, eight Inquisitorial acolytes, and a dude in black armor who looked tough and scary were either in the doorframe or surrounding the entire tavern.

All this was enough to make the Prancing Pony's denizens more than startled. Some of the mercenaries clutched their weapons, just to be safe, while the nimble halflings hid behind their taller counterparts and furniture. In the corner, an illithid used his psychic powers to teleport away, perhaps deeming the situation too troublesome to bother with being here at all.

"Rejoice!" The Inquisitor said, reaching out with one hand and placing another behind his back. "His lordship has foreseen this would happen and wishes to amend things without more unnecessary bloodshed! As a sign of good will, we were ordered to escort you to his hold without taking away your weapons or cuffing you up."

Was this a trick? Maybe. "What do you say, crusaders?"

Anna Dwanne

To be entirely honest, she wasn't quite sure why the dwarf broke into such laughter. Jokes don't travel across fluently afterall. Was her thought, as she had a temporary companionship to Loudwater. She is used to travel with myriad of folks to places, and it would have been uncomfortable, should she is travelling alone.

"We're headin' to Loudwater too, it's just straight down this path, the first town you see, that's it."

"Me neither."

Anna replied slightly after the dwarf replied his answer. Not that she would snitch even if she knew anyway. Her opinion on Wanted Posters are quite frankly a rather selfish one. If the person of interest does threatened her in any sense, then will she only reveal this person. If not, she won't. Not gonna invite any trouble herself just telling out someone.

"Just curious though, what has this lass done to be wanted ?"

She in returned questioned the lady in front of them, as the dwarf asked his question too. But instead of popping in more questions, she decided to just wait for the lady's reply. The dwarf saw something she missed at first glance, and she wishes to see to it that it's answered. Indeed it was strange that the man only nodded in response. But why would his actions of moving himself to the front, and then only to the back later ? Maybe he's a trained guard, who is a mute ? Nevertheless, Anna left the odd to be the odd, as she continued down the path to Loudwater.

"Yer drunk already, dwarf ?" she spoke in a casual manner, yet in a softer tone to the dwarf beside her, once they have gained a slight leading distance ahead of the two. The question obviously only meant to be listened by the dwarf beside her. She wanted to say more, but felt that less, might probe on the dwarf's point of view of that man.

"Oh, that is very good to know. I was worried that I was going the wrong way."

Marianne was glad to know that the town is just up ahead, very much so. She has been aching literally to let her body lie down. So long as she get's there, she could easily get her followers, either summoned or newly dominated, to locate Bailey for her.

"Her crimes you ask? Why she's a traitor to the crown and a threat to the kingdom. It'd be wise of you to not get too deeply involved, or involved at all, I'd say."

Marianne spoke as they walked, though due to her feeble body she was slowly being left behind. Not that she minded, she already know where to go from this point forth and has no further need for the two, if she ever though that she may need the two's assistance for more than just directions, her approach might have been a lot different.

Bailey scoffed, "I'm not trusting some random shady contact with my child, that's off the table," She said, her brows furrowing for a second, before relaxing again, "There's someone in Toron I can leave Alex with, but not yet." Alex needed to spend at least a day or two getting the sleeping potion back in his system with Bailey's help. Father Bishop either didn't give him enough, or none at all, but reguardless, he was only person she trusted enough with Alex. And Alex was comfortable with him, so that made leaving him there easier than it would be.

Anyway, with a sigh, Bailey ran a hand through her hair, "Alright Arabelle...I'm in." The door burst open, and someone started yelling. "Oh...great....we haven even really started anything yet, nothing to draw attention other than Ari's entrance, and already we're being hounded?" She muttered, turning her back to the door and the people there, "This ain't gonna end pretty." P Paint The Wind Kylesar1 Kylesar1 Birdsie Birdsie I guess

The Inquisitor stared with eyes of complete bewilderment, but after a long moment, he calmed down and looked at the group of traitors sternly. "That's one way to sass a messenger from the king. Very well, we shall take our leave. I can see that we cannot work a compromise here."

People in the tavern stared as the Inquisitor turned around. His own soldiers stared at him, and even through their helmets, there was a clear-cut sense of lost purpose and confusion among them. Sammaster placed his hand on the old man's shoulder as he turned around to leave.

"What are you doing?" he whispered with venom into the Inquisitor's ears.

"Stopping this before it turns to bloodshed. And you will obey that order," he responded without looking. He felt the knight's hand clutch him harder, almost threatening to tear his frail old skin. The dark, armored figure growled with disappointment then let go of his superior and making it clear he expected---or rather---wanted things to go south. Sammaster turned around and gave the adventurers a piercing glance.

It was obvious that if these men returned to the castle without any form of message or diplomatic envoy on the part of these 'suspected conspirators,' it would be taken as an act of hostility. The soldiers around the building moved like ants, forming a clear rank in front of the tavern. The Inquisitorial acolytes channeled magical energies and the entire cobblestone street flushed with blue light. After that, the soldiers were gone, teleported far away to parts unknown.

Ari Waesmor

Ari scoffed. "Being wanted is nothing to worry about. I can disguise anything. As for your monster situation, we've slain far worse. How about we go confront it?" Ari was always ready for battle. He eyed both Bailey and her child. "You're wearing Kanye clothes. In the interest of making you look somewhat presentable, you're going to the tailor for some functional armor. Consider it a gift for missing your 5 year capture anniversary." Referring to when he caught and poisoned her, using her life as a bribe. Ari had no idea what happened to her fortune from Alreos, but whatever. They were back together, so they were a team again. That meant he wasn't gonna be seen with her in pretty much rags. "Tyr can't be helped then. Guess it's us three. Obviously we'll need some support."

Elaina
"Draconian........" Of course she didn't, but she did know a bit of a language spell. "Linguist: Draconian." In a flash of white, Elaina spoke. Everyone would hear normal English, but Draconian would hear words in their native tongue. "I'll know it for only a minute, so explain fast."

Everything was interrupted as the Inquisition walked in. Elaina stepped closer, staying away from the group as they were confronted by the Inquisition. Divination was hard to sense in public places, and they used it. That's my father. Things are gonna get really bad really quick." She was itching to draw her blade if something happened, not that her apprentice skill would do much with a blade alone. Luckily, she had some offensive magic at her disposal.

Misty quickly jumped on the girl's shoulder to get a better vantage point of what was going in, not worrying about any sort of resistance. "My master is taking down King Alreos. I don't want to fight here..........." But she would. She would always fight for her master

When the Inquisition came in, Ari stayed seated, but summoned a throwing knife and twirled it on the tip of a finger, saying nothing, but smiling at the soldiers, ready to kill with precision and expertise only Ari was known for. He gave a parting threat to Sammaster. "We'll meet again. Be worth my time." When they left, Ari stood. "Big Brother is always watching. We're taking down Alreos." This was said aloud to the Prancing Pony, which was pretty much silent after the soldiers left. "Any objections?"
A man stepped forward. "Yeah, you're an idiot. As soon as he puts a bounty on-" A throwing knife to the head silenced the man for good. Another throwing knife twirling on his finger. Ari's smile looked a teeny bit more intimidating now. "May as well thin the herd of potential mercenary enemies. Anyone else?" Silence. He turned back to the group. "Let's get moving."
