Fantasy The Underground

"As far as I know," Buras rumbled out, "they're almost exactly the same as the Undergrounds." Candy was candy in his eyes, it was sweet or sour, and often had sugar in it. But that didn't concern him right now, the safety of the two did concern him. And the closer they got to where a human was bound to be, the more on edge he became.

((@Axel1313 @Aridis @Hoki))

"Fine then," Connor said with a glare as he hopped out of the car. He brought the two duffel bags with him as well, of course. He would be ready to shoot if he had to, like any good hunter shoult be. He had been promised that he would be shooting things. And yet so far he hadn't shot things.

Caius Noël Vespid

"They say she may be here, but... I doubt that she'd go somewhere like this..." The boy sighed to himself, glaring at the strange passage. "Damn them, sending me on these lousy missions claiming that Liana may be there... It's always those damned abandoned buildings, and the weird caves or other creepy passages..." Entering, the boy walked for what to him seemed like an eternity, bored out of his mind and really tired of the lousy tasks he was constantly given by the order. Eventually though, he came to an opening in the passage, and, crawling out of whatever little nook he'd found himself in, got glimpse of... well, it. What it was, he didn't exactly know. It was certainly different, that's for sure; some sort of underground paradise is what it looked from where he stood, looking down at all the lights.

"My what a strange place... Now I understand why they sent me he-" He said, cut off by almost slipping from the very thin platform he was atop. "Sheesh I'm so high up though... Clearly this isn't the intended entrance to whatever this place is... I'd best go find another way in before I fa- Ah..." He said as he began falling forward. "Well shiiit..." He said lazily as he came straight down toward the floor of the place, sighing in boredom as he realized there was a pool of water below him. Passing by a bridge as he fell, he caught glimpse of a few more details before landing stomach-flat on the water. Needless to say it hurt a lot, though was definitely better than landing on hard stone, which would've probably killed him. "Well damn... Guess that rules out finding another way in..."

From then on, the boy just crawled out and laid flat on his back on the solid ground beside the water, staring up at the ceiling to the place. There were a few people from up on the bridges and stuff that stared down, though they didn't exactly bother with him given that they weren't entirely sure where he'd fallen from nor what the heck'd happened for him to plummet like that. "And now the stares... Just my lucky fuckin' day, ain't it? Next up, I'll have a robot fall in love with me, won't I world? Huh!? You just love doing this crazy shit to me...!" Caius mumbled, completely annoyed by how life loved to throw cow dung at his face and then proceed to laugh about it in his face.

Liana Noëlle Vespid

"I sense... No, it couldn't be; just my imagination..." Liana mumbled as she sat in the middle of a dark cave. It was a rather peaceful setting, and was actually there in the ceiling of the Underground. She just meditated there, thinking on what she was doing with her life. She didn't exactly get anything out of staying in school, and she most definitely didn't get much out of watching Caius given that all he was doing was trying to kill her, so it really was something she questioned. If she were to die, it'd probably let Caius go back to a more normal life, given that she's the sole reason he's even doing what he does. "I suppose that's why though... Guess that it really is hard to let go of a dream... Just like Kana said..."

((Yeah... Anybody wandering dark caves, by any chance? Had no clue how to start with Liana xD ))

Adina was merrily making her way across the bridge, nothing but focus in her eye as she walked. Since going to be an assistant full time, her job kept her on her toes, and currently she was headed home to get some needed rest. Free time and leasure wasn't something she participated in. She got up, went to work, came home, and plugged herself in. That was her cycle. And today was like any day, that was until a flash came by the corner of her eye. It was followed soon after by a splash, which directed her attention downwards. Most of the people around her walked on their way, being used to things in the water ocassionally or always splashing around. But what she saw over the side of the bridge wasn't a fish or mermaid, it was a man with silver hair who had hauled himself up onto the beach. Pacing herself, Adina ran off the bridge and towards the human, approaching at a slower pace. "Are you alright?" She asked gently, having learned long ago that that was more normal than 'Do you require assistance.' Becoming less robotic was one of the gifts being around humans gave her, one she was thankful for.

Caius Noël Vespid

Looking over at the girl who'd come over to him, Caius sighed as he realized what'd showed up. "God damn it world, it wasn't a request...!" He sighed in anger; it was very annoying, the way the world did this to him. "Yeah, I'm alright... Pretty sure I'm bleedin' a little from how high I fell, but oh well..." He responded, though quickly realized what he was doing. "Wait, why the hell am I talkin' to something that's clearly not human!? Dammit, first my sister turns out to be the most detestable of things, and now I'm insane enough to converse with these things...!" He yelled at himself in anger, having stood up who-knows-when and clutched his head as he yelled. He hit himself on the head a few times with his clenched fist, practically beating himself up for having spoken with the robot person thingy.

"Ah screw it, not like I've got anything better to do...!" He said as he finally calmed down. "So where in the heck am I?" He questioned as he turned back to Adina, calmness prominent in his voice now that he'd just given in to the world's cruel irony. "Some sort of underground city, I can tell that much, but... I'm not quite sure about any of it all, so care to fill me in? Maybe tell me how to get out...?" He continued on with, rubbing his head as he wasn't very good at this interaction thing. Even if it were a normal human being, he'd be having difficulty still in conversing. "Well...?" He added in, eyes looking toward the ground slightly to avoid eye contact. If he could, he would've just walked away by now, but even he knew just by the atmosphere he wouldn't be able to so easily find a way out by himself.

@IceQueen

Tilting her head at the human's odd behavior, she studied him carefully. He seemed to be a little, awkward. Or at the least that is what she assumed the correct word was for his actions. Perplexed at his interesting behavior, she studied him carefully, grey eyes alight with wonder and bewilderment. Almost every human interaction was odd or different to her, but then again on her planet she wasn't even sure they used spoken tongue except in language classes. Even then it was minimal.

"If you are bleeding, I am sure I have some bandages." She said, lifting up one of the side pockets of her skirt thing and searching through it. The soft sound of turning gears could be heard as she rummaged through her bag, the noise courtesy of small robotic parts inside her doing their job. Finally finding some, she smiled and pulled them out, closing the bag gently. "I can understand your bewilderment. After all, you are only an organic life form that belongs to this planet. Something that lacks complexity, or simple, as most of your people would say." She said, her head tilting ever so often to get a different angle on everything she was viewing. She was, strange to say the least. with clicking gears and curious wide eyes, she didn't seem to be bothered by the fact that she had just insulted his race. "You are in the Underground. Unfortunately getting out of here alive will be very difficult for you, considering that this is a haven for things that are not of this world. The entrance is heavily guarded, and getting you back up there isn't a reliable option. You will have to find some way to hide. If you would like, my living arrangements are quite open right now, as I do not sleep very often and follow a strict schedule." she said, folding her hands over her stomach.

Genesis made his rounds through the city hovering over the streets and alleys, thanks to the slave system that allowed him to use certain abilities of a Watcher's Eye. Being on standby scout duty while he waited for a response of control1 to be extremely boring so he decided to speed things up a bit. Releasing his control of the levitating ability of the Watcher's Eye he fell sixteen stories crashing onto the hood of a speeding sports car. The Driver was slung out of the window, but was caught by the back of his shirt by the pseudo android. Giving the man whiplash and forcing them to pass out.

"You're not what I'm looking for." Is what he wanted to say, but the sound of scraping metal replaced his voice. After all he was still rapidly recovering from his botched 'surgery' on his vocal cords. Genesis tossed the man into oncoming traffic like garbage. "This will sort itself out" The metallic humanoid thought as it stepped off of the engine block. A blue Dodge Avenger swerved to avoid hitting the man but chipped its front end on the side rear of a White Dodge Pickup truck. The Avenger ended up flipping over and slide. The driver was unharmed.

Genesis hacked 'logged' into the Order's network via satellite to obtain the location of on going missions. After obtaining some intel on a particular mission he found most interesting, Genesis began sprinting. Effortlessly his speed passed ninety miles an hour. His metallike feet creating small craters with each step propelling him forward. The lower portion of his abdomen gave off a slight cyan hue as he began to exert himself a bit.

It wasn't long before the Bio-Android found itself before a unique passage. He came to an immediate stop as he levitated in the air. Genesis looked around scanning the surroundings. "This was easier than expected. Someone has already lead the way." These silent words came to his mind when he saw fresh footprints. Not wanting to be bothered with his adventure the droid man shut down his GPS tracker The Order required him to wear.

He followed the footprints until they came to an end at a small crevice in the stone just large enough to fit a person through. The android slid his hard body through, his metal exterior grinding down the rock as he forced himself through. He came out the other end above a bridge. Looking below he scanned all the individual faces and people. Further down the way on a beach below the bridge he noticed a familiar face from the Order's records and an odd looking machine that made think of a lesser object. Comparing it to himself he assumed it to be a toy, but the subconscious of his artificial mind would haunt him with her image in the future.

Three years had passed since he woke up from his pre-dream of 'life'. Three years since he had been in the hands of the Order. Not once has he seen a place as inhuman as this. The eye on his shoulder rapidly looked around as if it had recognized the place. A clear liquid began to creep from the corners of the eye. Almost as if it were crying. Genesis wanted to put some distance between him and Order soldier below. So, he began to quickly make his way to one side of the bridge. The last thing he wanted was to receive another mundane order. He wanted to collect data from the people in this strange city. The extent of his curiosity was unmeasurable.

"Don't you give me that attitude young man. Or else you'll be on lookout duty for a year." Anton threatened. He was in the usual bad mood already, he didn't need sass right now. "Let's head to the park. I've got a gut feeling well find some sort of lead there. Does that sound alright to you?"

@Beowulf @Hoki @Aridis

It felt like hours had gone by since he sat in the corner waiting for her to get finished with her shift. At least to him, he'd been asleep the entire time and woken with a start. The dream of every being late didn't help much either. Stretching out like a cat across the table his golden eyes drifted around the room in search of his friend. Hopefully she hadn't just abandoned him there...or poured hot coffee on him as he slept.

@IceQueen

Silver spent her shift bustling back and forth across the shop, serving different customers different things. And when she had finally finished her shift, she collected her paycheck, waved goodbye to her coworkers and retreated back over to the corner where a certain dozy werewolf was hiding. He was looking around sleepily, like he had just woken up, and she laughed a bit. "Morning Sleepy Pup." She teased him, letting her hand rest on her hip. Her clothes were pretty much the same, a button down shirt and jeans, just without the apron. Her hair was still tied up, and she raised an eyebrow. "Are you going to sit there all day or do you want to go now?" She asked.

@Axel1313

"Pup? I'm no pup. You've lost it wolfy." He chuckled softly as he stretched again before standing up. "I'm ready to go. I was only resting my eyes. Hangover, y'know?" He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. "So, where to then? What are the plans? You saved my butt from a night sleeping on the streets so it's all up to you." He grinned.

@IceQueen

Listening to the two princes amused him more than it should of. Surpressing a light hearted laugh, Shion looked over at the two with a smile. "It's more so both," he responded, "There are some that I'd say are the similar, possibly the same as other ones you're probably used to, but there are definitely different ones." Turning his head away for a brief moment, he let his gaze wander the streets. "Candy ropes," the demon started listing, "sour belts, Fundip, everything gummy like bears and octopi, and chocolates of every type you can imagine.."

Memories flooded his senses, reminding him of the times he'd go to candy stores with his father, and times he went with his friends... It all came to an abrupt end, it really did, but Shion could never bring himself to complain. Everything had passed - it was fine.

While letting this information of candy sink in for the duo, it wasn't only a wave of memories that took over his senses; darkness. At least, that's what the wolf could describe it as. He rubbed at his nose, letting it wrinkle as an unpleasant intent reached his nostrils and core. It wasn't a scent per say, it was more of a feeling.

Hopefully it was nothing... He couldn't take any sort of action against it, as it might've truly been nothing, but it didn't flow well with the other, invisible currents in the area.

Shion glanced at Buras, to see if he was the only one to take notice.

@Beowulf @Axel1313 @Aridis

Completely unaware of any threats that were lurking around, or that were planning on doing so, the boy kept his excited behavior. Most of the things that Shion spoke of soon became images in his head. Well.. What he thought they looked like based off of their names, anyways. Almost everything came out a little more literal than they should've been for just candy, but even without those forms, Vytas wouldn't be disappointed. He was fantasizing about the taste just as much as he was the physical shapes. Even more hyped up than before, the young Prince pumped a fist into the air.

"I wanna try all of it!" Due to how expensive that would be in the long run, it probably wasn't doable all at once. But, a boy could dream.

@Hoki @Axel1313 @Beowulf

"Did you hear something? I think I heard something." Connor said for perhaps the fifth time in five minutes. In fact, at this point he didn't even bother pulling the gun out of the bag and just pointed it down whatever alley he thought the noise came down from. He was getting twitchier and twitchier as time went by, and would more then likely shoot at the first thing he saw that he would have an excuse ready to shoot. They looked suspicious, that one should do it.

((@Axel1313 @CalamariHero ))

"I feel it to." he said softly Shion, and softly for a giant sounded more like a giant bee stuck in a jar to most everyone else. "Shion, go in with the princes. I cannot fit, and if I could I don't think I'd exactly blend in. I'll stand watch out here." With that said, he took up a post against a brick wall and stood stock still. If one wasn't looking, he actually blended in quite nicely. Plus, the way he saw it, no one noticed something that didn't move.

((@Hoki @Aridis ))

SoMo

Somo stood next to crushed sports car looking at an accident that had recently happened. "This is why... We can't get any rest." He had spent the last ten minutes diverting traffic and making sure people had medical attention. He dragged his hand along the hood of the sports car, "looks like something jumped on it." He let out a sigh dusting off his glove on his way to his bike. Throwing his leg over the bike, he sat down. He took the Oni mask from his hip and put in on his face. "Time to go to work..." he said to himself as he revved his engine and took off.

As he zipped through the streets of the city Somo accessed the open comms of the Order. "This is Somo, I'm in this City because you all are slacking. If you spotted that commonly dwells in the Underground you are obligated to give me the location."

"Shush!! I think I actually did this time!" Anton snapped. He hadn't heard anything the first thousand times the kid had said something, but he did this time. "Come on. This way, let's check out the few shops up ahead. I have a feeling we'll find something there. Just think about it, early morning, not many awake or around. Seems like the perfect time for some sort of activity doesn't it?" He shrugged. "Do you want to scout ahead of me? You are the one with the scopes."

@Beowulf

"You'll rot your teeth out that way." Austere teased. "And I don't think the human stores take gold. Otherwise I'd be more than happy to get you some of everything." He chuckled as he followed them into the store. An uneasy feeling struck him. He couldn't tell what it was, but he had a gut feeling something was off. There was an odd energy in the air. "We won't take long Buras. I'll make sure to get you something too for all of your troubles. Maybe some gummy spiders to make up for missing your friend." He elbowed him teasingly. "We won't be long. I don't want to be up here much longer. I'm....beginning to feel rather sick."

@Aridis @Hoki @Beowulf

Nodding his head, the demon plastered a smile onto his lips and faced the two princes, arms extended to the side. "We'll be quick," he told them, trying to appeal to Austere for a brief moment, "but you can get anything you'd like; my treat." For Vytas' souvenir... It may have to wait, but Shion could always get a little snow globe - they just couldn't waste more time than they needed to. He allowed the two brothers to walk past him and explore to their heart's content but hesitated before following, sending a thoughtful glance out toward the street.

His nose, his soul, the wolf inside of him was definitely not a fan of whatever was out there. Thankfully, should things go south he wasn't weak; if whatever was out there wanted something strong or powerful to entertain itself with, then Shion would suffice. It'd buy enough time for the others to get away safely. Still...hopefully it was nothing.

He went after the princes, a hand in his pockets tapping at the dark steel coins.

@Axel1313 @Aridis @Beowulf

Marx was never one for the privacy of others, striding down the hall with those phantom steps of his. He was, however, a bit respectful towards the king even though he treated him as he would a normal individual, and knocked on the grand doors that led to the powerful man. "I'm comin' in," he announced with a bored tone, soon entering the room and letting the doors rattle shut behind him. His wings gave a flitter and his tail gave a whip, hands disappearing into his baggy pockets as he approached.

"Anything new, old man?" the messenger asked, bloody red eyes glinting in the shade of the room.

@Beowulf //does this work?

"Really? I mean, of course there's something up ahead, I heard it didn't I?" Connor said in quick order before jogging ahead, bags making a rather large amount of noise and causing a couple cringes for those that knew what was inside. Yeah, he'd scout ahead, then he'd blast them. And then just call it all an accident if something happened that wasn't supposed to. It would be his word against Anton's, and there was no way they'd take Anton's.

((@Axel1313))

Buras stood as still as, well, the brick behind him honestly. 'Guess those days of doing nothing but standing are paying off.' he thought to himself. That was when he heard something, the clack of gun metal against each other. It was soft, but it was certainly there. But still he didn't move, if the princes were in danger then he would. But perhaps they would simply go away.

((@Axel1313 @Aridis @Hoki ))

"Not really." Gareth said, sitting at a table with a fire crackling nearby. It wasn't really the season for a fire, but it was always nice to have one going. "A couple Sanctuary rulers showed up today, and I've had the distinct pleasure of showing them around." The tone of his voice implied otherwise, but he knew not to directly say such things. "But one of them I know for a fact was new to her post. A little faerie, can you believe it? She could have easily sat on my antlers or fit in the palm of my hand, but hovered around the entire time. The poor thing must be exhausted."

((@Hoki ))

Caius Noël Vespid

"Err... Simple...? You're calling me... simple...? God damn it I'll-" Caius began, all as an angry mumble under his breath. He gave up on it though, knowing full well he'd best just go along with this whole thing so that he didn't find himself on his deathbed because he declared war upon this whole place of inhuman beings. Listening silently to the rest of Adina's words, quite disliking this whole situation. Why the hell would they choose me of all people, to come to this place...? Dammit I'm going to kill them when I get back...! He thought, fist clenched tightly in his anger.

Hearing the bit about living arrangements and hiding, Caius sighed yet again. "So I really am stuck in this damned place... To think I was so close to reaching her, only to get stuck in a place full of beings like her..." Resting his head against his palm and shaking side to side for a moment, he spoke once more as he finished. "Very well... I might as well... I've a better survival chance taking residence with a stranger in this place than I do trying to get out... Never thought I'd say this, but it seems I'm in your care, miss... Err..." Unsure of Adina's name, he kept trying though failed miserably to produce her name. "Never got your name... Mine's Caius... Yours?" He said with his 'final' sigh of the hour, though chances are he'd be sighing again soon at this predicament of his.

@IceQueen

Adina watched him mumble at the word simple. It was just that, they were simple. Anatomy of only one stomach, two intestine, two kidneys, a heart, two lungs, and a bunch of veins. Her system was compromised by the meshing of flesh and robotics in an intricate system that would take hours to describe, then again the same could be said for a human, but those were basic human like processes. Half of her was mechanical, including most of her limbs.

"Adina. My nickname is Adina, though my real given name was simply a number used to define me among my counterparts." She said coolly, a hint of a smile pulling to her face. "Nice to meet you Mr.Caius." She said formally, giving him a bow before lifting her head again. "Follow me to my living arrangements, and we can see about acquiring some sustenance for you. We will take the back routes, to avoid detection." She said, heading away from the pathways and towards the open grass fields that melded into alleyways. After a little while of silence, Adina spoke up again. "If you don't mind, I have several questions for you when we arrive, as I know little about you creatures besides your anatomy." She stated. "Really much of what is on this planet fascinates me. All these things are new." She said, weaving easily through the intricate system of alleys as quickly as possible.

@Kiyoko Tomoe

"Thank you so much little demon. I'll make sure to pay you back though, it's only fair for all of this." A bright smile crossed the princes face. He turned and practically bounded into the store in search of his favorites. With no humans except the cashier, he was as happy as lark and as peppy as his little brother. It was a great distraction from all of the worry. "Vytas! You should come and try this! This one is the one I said was my favorite!"

@Aridis @Hoki

"Be quieter!" Anton hissed as he followed Connor. "If there is something here you're going to alert it before you get any chance at all." His head snapped up. He could definitely sense something, it was a strong gut feeling. He scanned the streets closely, it was difficult to see anything in this light. There had to be something there though, he swore that he saw some sort of movement.

@Beowulf

"Oh? I don't think those are human." Connor said, seeing the very early costumers of the candy shop. "I know of a quick way to check." And without further ado, he takes out an uzi and sprays the front of the shop. Once that ran out, he dropped it and grabbed something else at random, this being a sawed off shotgun. Wash rinse repeat, that was the plan, until something two stories tall came crashing out of seemingly no where.

((@Axel1313 @Hoki @Aridis ))

He had failed them. The princes were in mortal danger, and he was caught staring at them and hoping they would go away. He should have known, he should have stopped them sooner. He had feared for his life, and hoped that everyone would live, including the Order members even. But that was no excuse for what he had let happen. He prayed to all the gods that the princes were safe, and bargained with the demons to make these humans suffer.

He had been helping Vytas with the selection when those...more primal senses took note of something dangerous. There were times when he despised those senses of his, often making him a worry wart over the things he was used to being around every day, but it was within that moment that they came in handy. Everything about his being jumped to attention, the demon whirling to face the windows. Shion caught a glimpse of something, and, whatever that something was, the demon didn't like it. His hyper-alert - at least, hyper alert in that instance - hearing heard the click of a weapon he had memories of when the Order came to take him away that one time.

Hand waving behind him to catch the attention of the wandered off elder Prince, the raiju gave a call of alarm. "Get down!" he barked with a tone of urgency, even sharing this panic with the poor store clerk. Shion felt a spark race down his arm but couldn't act on it, grabbing Vytas and yanking him to the floor as bullets sailed over head in a hellish storm. He was big enough to serve as a body shield for the young prince should things get even worse, but now his focus was on Austere; hopefully he had taken heed to the warning?

@Axel1313 @Beowulf @Aridis

"Hover?" the little devil repeated, giving a small huff as he too recalled the ache of floating around for however long. A hand waved by his face, baggy sleeve slipping down to his elbow with the motion. "Maybe she was trying to be polite or something," Marx commented, sounding considerably uninterested in the whole ordeal. He went over to the king and sat himself down on the edge of the table, leaning back on his hands. His shaggy hair hid his eyes like curtains of shade, the gleam of his blood red orbs only increased with the dancing flames of the fire.

He looked over Gareth for a moment, head tilting slightly. "So," the boy went with, "Sanctuary, eh? Sounds like a pain." Unlike most - nay, almost all of the others - Marx was always far too casual when talking about and to powerful figures; from military to royalty, to rulers of different degrees, he treated them all the same. The little devil really wasn't the type to keep what he was thinking all bottled up, including whether or not someone annoyed the crap out of him.

@Beowulf

Yawning softly, Atlas rose to his feet. Stomach full of lemon squares and happiness, he stretched his arms above his head. It was late, for him anyways. Usually, the teenager was fast asleep at this time. Besides, the sun didn't exactly agree with him. The brighter the light, the darker the shadows, but also the worse his sunburn became. The raven had completed his task, and had even done more than was asked. As much as he would enjoy staying around his new friend longer, it was time for him to take his leave.

He smiled, and gave a little wave in the Priest's direction before awkwardly shuffling towards the door. "Welp... I would love to stick around and stuff my face with more bakes goodies, but I think it's time for me to go back home. Besides, I don't think it would benefit you much if those Order freaks found me again. At least this way, they'll leave you alone if they find that I'm long gone. So... Seeya."

@Axel1313

There was something terribly wrong, putting aside the obvious attack that was going on. But, the thing was, the boy was in too much shock to understand until after the event had happened. Even with Buras standing so close to the shop, even with Shion protecting him, something horrible still managed to take place. Everything around the Prince just seemed to fade into a sort of numbed state. It felt like there was cotton shoved into his ears and mouth, with only a loud ringing sound being able to pass through. He was trembling, but couldn't feel any of his limbs. It was like he was wrapped in a thick blanket, where practically nothing could reach him.

Well, besides the pain.

"O-ow..." Vytas whimpered. The world seemed to take on a lighter hue, and dizziness soon joined the party. Through the exploding bursts of light that was quickly overtaking his vision, he managed to see a dark shade of red. There was a puddle of it, one that was growing larger by the second... One that was... growing around him.

One of the bullets had managed to rip it's way through his shoulder, and had grazed the vital artery that held so much blood at once. It appeared to be a rather small wound, but one that would no doubt be a deadly one. "B-Big Br--Austere!" Despite the fact that the demon was so much closer to him, and would be able to provide quicker assistance, he still chose to call out to his brother. It was more of an instinct than anything. Tears began falling down his cheeks at a rapid rate, his expression twisted into one of fear and agony.

Vytas could practically feel his life draining from his body. It was moving much too quickly, and despite his efforts to cling to it, his life still managed to rush through his hands. The brightness of the world quickly began to dim in his eyes. Everything was becoming blurry, and even the pain was starting to fade.

Maybe coming to the Overworld wasn't such a good idea after all.

@Hoki @Beowulf @Axel1313

"Alright. It would help nobody for us to be in the same place. Only leaves more targets for em right? And no use in keepin ya since you did get me back home safely, finally." The priest stood to pat him on the back and hand him some tupperware full of the lemon squares. "Take these for yer troubles and keep safe okay?" He smile kindly. "Don't forget to keep in touch too if ya can. Gotta make sure you're always fully supplied with good conversations and food."

Anton plugged his ears as Connor rained bullets on the small shop. He could feel pain in his wallet from this little stunt, but excitement in his heart. Finally some action against these foul beasts!! And if they were lucky, one or two of them were still alive and ripe for stealing away. They would no doubt have the upper hand this time.

@Beowulf @rosamortelle @CalamariHero

Austere had barely gotten the warning to duck before the hail of bullets rained down on them. Luckily being dragon kin gave him tougher skin than normal. So most of the bullets that actually hit him didn't get past his skin.

When it calmed down a bit he looked up again. His vision was blurry and his ears ringing. Where was his brother? He could hear him calling for him, but where was he? He knew he didn't have tough skin like him. "b-brother?" He forced himself back to his feet and stumbled around the shop for him.

When he found him....the boy's heart stopped. His entire body felt cold as ice as he saw the massive puddle of red around his brother. "VYTAS!!" He screamed at the top of his lungs. Everything went blank around him as he rushed to his brother. "No no no no no. Gods No...." He murmured as he took the boy from the demon. Cradling him close. "Vytas, please....hang on...y-you'll be alright. We'll get you back and all patched up, okay?" Warm tears streamed down his face as he desperately tried to stop the bleeding, but it was too late. He could see the life fading from his brother's eyes.

"Please....don't go...I...I don't want to be all alone again." He sobbed, holding his brother closer as the life drained away from him. "I'm sorry Vytas...this is all my fault. We should have never come here....I'm so sorry..."
