-The Being, an androgynous humanoid made of crystals. Extremely powerful creature that is currently trying to literally put itself back together again. When whole, wants to destroy the human race, maybe all of Firoza.


- Nich Fiel, the leader of the Jewels. He was born in Phailin, where the Jewels’ temple is. He is a short, round man with squinty eyes and a bushy, graying beard that reaches almost to the floor. His wit and reflexes are both as quick as a whip. He is a very serious man without much patience for fools or jokes.

-While you may have more than one character, you may only have one Vessel character.


-I know it is a lot to read, but please make sure you look over every bit of information.


-Cursing is allowed, but please keep it to a minimum.


-Please post at least a paragraph as your roleplay.


-Please try to keep active. At least one post a week please. If you become inactive, I will just boot your character to the side. After a while, I may open that spot up to a different person.


-Romance is allowed, but if it starts going too far, fade to black, please.


-So I know you have at least read my rules, please post ‘please’ somewhere in your character sheets.


-No killing any other person’s character unless agreed upon by both parties.


-No one is over-powerful and indestructible, not even the Being. In fights, you will get hurt.

Personality:

Bae is kind and carefree, always quick to tell a joke or perform a trick. Loyal and protective, he hates to see anyone sad or afraid. He will often make a fool of himself just to see a person smile. He likes to think that he is a womanizer, but in reality, he crashes and burns any time he tries to talk to a girl. He is hardly ever seen without a smile on his face, and appears to be a cheerful optimist even in the worst of times. However, sometimes it seems that his smiling mask hides something a lot darker. His is not very bright, and never seems to know when to shut up. The last thing he wants to do is ever make someone sad. He is extremely caring, willing to put his life on the line for even a stranger.

Appearance:

Bae keeps his pale blonde hair long, though he will tie it back for his shows. His eyes, which always seem a little sad compared to the smile on his lips, are a bright amber. He is well built, having trained to be an acrobat since he was quite young, and has pale skin, as he tends to work during the night and sleep the day away. His lips seem to permanently hold a devilish half-smirk, as though he finds the world to be amusing. He stands tall, a little over six feet, and tends to wear loose fitting clothes he can easily move around in.

History:

The beginning of Bae’s life was filled with hardships. No one ever expects tragedy to strike in the smiling country of Biyn, which is exactly how a traveling band of thieves easily slipped into the farmhouse of Bae’s family and slaughtered them. Posing as a group of entertainers, they managed to convince the farmers to let them stay the night. Bae was only spared as one of the thieves took pity on him. Without anywhere to go and anyone to turn to, Bae wandered, found only after he collapsed of starvation by an acrobat company. They took him in and welcomed him to the company, teaching him the tricks of their trade. He became a very famous acrobat, traveling the country doing shows. But, he never forgot the faces of those thieves.

- Rarely serious, and not for long

- Laughs loudly and at the worst of times

Serafi Pele

Age: Twenty-one

Birthstone: Her gemstone is the ruby and it is located in her left eye.

Gender: Female

Personality:

Serafi tends to be cool and calculating, sizing someone up in the first instant that she meets them. She is quite perceptive, able to pick up on minute details that others are unable to see. She has little patience for stupidity and is a hard and earnest worker. She may at first come across as rude, but does not mean to be. Underneath her hard layer of stubbornness, she is actually quite vulnerable and afraid. She knows she is dying and there is nothing she can do, but wishes to live her life to the fullest. Though she would never admit it, she wants nothing more than to fall in love.

Appearance:

Serafi’s ruby has taken its place in her left eye, causing that eye to turn red while the other remains bright blue. Most of her blonde hair falls to the middle of her back, though she usually keeps it up, save for the hair that frames her face and the shorter section of her hair she keeps in a braid. The braid is a symbol for women in her culture that she is single, to be cut off and given to her husband for good luck on their wedding day. She insists that she wears it to honor her mother’s wishes, but makes no effort to hide it. Her skin is pale from her days spent working inside, much different than the darkly tanned skin of her people. In Afi and in warmer climates, she wears the traditional clothing of her people, which consists of a red top with golden embroidery that covers the bare minimum, and a long red skirt with slits up each side. In these climates, she goes around barefoot, though she keeps an anklet on. In colder climates, she covers up more, wearing the clothing from the picture above.

History:

Her grandfather is the inventor of gunpowder and subsequently, fireworks and canons. He has cared for her since she was ten as her single mother unfortunately perished in the ocean (giving way to her fear of water). As a businessman, he instilled in her everything he knew about how to run a proper business. Since she was old enough, she worked with him to create and trade off the fireworks and canons. She worked long hours learning the business, and often suggested new ways to help the business grow. She found out she was sick just after her twentieth birthday. No Afi doctor knew what was wrong with her. She even traveled to Chau, but they were reluctant to help an outsider. She continued to work, keeping her condition a secret from even her grandfather. He, noticing how tired she looked one day, told her to take a walk around Afi’s volcano. It was there she found the ruby. When she touched it, it jumped up as though it were alive and struck her in the eye, causing her to lose consciousness. When she awoke, her body was aflame, but she felt no pain. Her first thought that the volcano had erupted and that she had died, but after a while, the flame subsided and her energy was drained. She realized only later that there were thoughts and memories in her head that were not hers, memories of the Being that the ruby gemstone gave to her. Days later, members of the Jewels came to collect her and brought her to their temple in Phailin.

Strengths:

- Has an unknown disease that is slowly killing her

-Can no longer see out of her left eye because of the ruby

Weapons: Serafi does not normally use weapons, she relies on her abilities instead. She does however, keep a dagger on her person just in case.

Already started making my character, It would be nice to be able to be the Peridot Vessel. I might play another character, it depends on my capability when it comes to keeping up with details and length in the rp.

The Topaz vessel also sounds amazing. I can't decide which one I'd prefer.


And I feel like I'd be copying if I too put the gem in the eye, but I have trouble thinking of other places to put it without being really weird. xD
 
Anywhere is fine. The elbow, the back of the hand, the palm, the cheek, the forehead, the chest, the naval. It doesn't matter.
 
Ooh. If I chose Topaz, is my character allowed to have a pet, since he can control animals...? I found an adorable yet awesome picture I could use if so.

But! Remember to consider what kind of person the Topaz Vessel would be from what country they come from.

Aaah! I've changed my mind again. I just don't think I could play a serious character that would be associated with Topaz, so I've changed to Opal. It's settled. I'll hush now and make my character.


I didn't notice the information on the lands before, even though I thought I had read all of the overview. Heh. Whoops.

Ayen is very crafty and inventive, and learned from a young age that finding loopholes and finding ways to make things easier wasn't all that difficult. While he isn't one to go out of his way to help people, if someone asks for assistance, he will help them (after a good deal of grumbling, that is). He likes people, and enjoys conversing, but after a while he can grow tired and will leave if the conversation begins to bore him. He is protective of people he cares about, but it's hard to get close to him.


Appearance:
Ayen is a moderately sized young man, being a bit on the shorter and skinnier side, but altogether healthy. He has longer, curly brown hair that constantly gets in his face, though he refuses to put it up.


History:
Ayen grew up as the primary caretaker of his two sisters. As his father had left when he was four years old, and his mother was constantly working, he was left to deal with his younger siblings. As he couldn't do much, he found ways to multitask without using too much energy, and created a system that worked. When he got older, he applied the same process to working, as his mother was older and much more worn out. His sisters went to school while he provided for them, and while he was happy to, it was still a lot of pressure and it left him drained. One day, he went somewhere alone and just collapsed into the grass, letting himself just relax for once. Suddenly, he felt a sensation on his back-- so odd he couldn't even describe it, and before he could jump up he passed out. When he woke up, he felt very lightheaded and tried to see what he'd laid on. Finding nothing, he returned home, and when the Jewels came to collect him, it took a great deal of explaining that there was a turquoise fused onto his back.


Strengths:

Skeeter is a live in the moment kind of guy. He believes that you shouldn't dwell on the past or focus all of your attention on the future. Skeeter lives for fun and also believes that nobody should ever be bored, so he does all in his power to make sure they aren't- which is his ultimate goal as a person. Make sure people are happy. Skeeter is always joking around and messing with people, never taking anything seriously, like most people in Biyn. And on the rare occasion that he is serious, it is because somebody he truly cares about is hurt in some way or if it is absolutely vital that he is. Though he seems like nothing but a goofball and a loudmouth, both of which he are, he is as loyal as they could and wouldn't betray a friendship for his life. Also, he sees himself as the person people go to for a smile when their facing some hard times that he often forget there are there for him too, which leads to him just bottling up whateve emotions he has up until they explode. Hey, happiness isn't the only emotion one can feel.


Appearance:


See the image attached to the top of this post. Please only refer to the physical appearance, I will explain his clothing now. Skeeter isn't a tall man, but he isn't necessarily short either. He is rather light in weight. Lean, not very muscular it would seem. He has chestnut brown eyes that almost appear red, they're usually wide open and filled with wonder and tinkled with joy. A flick of sadness on his face is as difficult to see as a needle in a haystack. He has a pointy nose and slightly pointed ears which gives him a rather regal look that seems to contradict his usually childish behavior. He has milky white pale skin dotted with freckles around his cheeks and nose that both usually appear blushed because of Biyn's chilly weather. Of course, his face always appears different because of the paint and jewelry he will accesorize his face with for the stage. He has medium lengthed reddish brown hair that appears a lighter shade of chestnut than his eyes do. Skeeter has no sense of style whatsoever, it seems. Whether this be because he actually has no style or if he dresses the way he does merely to entertain people. His usual attire usually consists of a dark, hunter green tunic with many bright and colorful patches of all kinds littering the sleeves and sides. He wears dark brown pants with the same patches that are usually folded to about mid-calf. This is usually accompanied with brown ankle boots that are scuffed up. Flowers are often a big fashion statement of his and he'll often be seen with a short top hat with a large flower tucked into the side. He never sticks with one style for long.


History:


Skeeter was an only child with a single father for his entire life as his mother died during childbirth, for which his father blamed Skeeter for. A once kind and loving man turned serious and brutal because of the death of someone dear to him, and who else is better than the own boy who caused the death to release the anger upon? Skeeter was the target of his drunken father's anger for years, under the impression that the entire world was like this and that he could trust nobody. This assumption changed when he was in town one day and saw a woman preforming a show with little puppets on a string and she laid eyes on him and was instantly able to see the troubles in his life. She somewhat took him under her wing. Though he still endured the pain his father gave him, he was happy as he could be around her. She taught him how to make puppets and how to work the strings. She'd take care of his cuts and bruises after a day spent with his father. She'd make meals for him and buy him toys and he was able to live a remotely normal childhood. It was through this darling woman that Skeeter realised that he wanted to be exactly like her. He wanted to make people smile and laugh, no matter what happened in their lives.


The beatings for Skeeter finally stopped when he was sixteen years old, his old man dropped dead from what we know as a heart attack and it was that very day that he was able to begin living his dream. He'd host puppet shows of his own. He'd jump around and do tricks for children in the streets. He'd sing for people though his voice wasn't very nice. Skeeter stored all memories of life with his father deep inside his head and began his new life.


Strengths:

  • Skeeter has the ability to create force fields.
  • Skeeter is rather pain tolerant.
  • Skeeter is pretty flexible and because of his small size, he is able to fit in those harder to reach places.


Weakness:

  • Skeeter doesn't know much about weapons or how to avoid them besides using his force fields. He would be pretty bad in close combat, with only the aid of his force fields to help him out.
  • The bigger or stronger the force field is, the more energy is drained from Skeeter.
  • Though it isn't common, places with a stronger gravitational pull affect his powers in a negative way. Places with a weaker gravitational pull have the same negative effects.
  • Skeeter isn't very intelligent as he hasn't attended any school of sorts. He can't even read...



Weapons:


Skeeter has no weapons.

Aleda 'Small Wings' Havencrest

Personality:

A lot can be said of Aleda, but if there's anything you should know it's that she's cheerful and imaginative. Of course she's also earnest, honest and efficient, but these are in a way balance by being irresponsible as well. Her cheerfulness though, this is what she's pretty much loved for. People regularly count on this and her incorruptible nature whenever they need cheering up.

Nobody's perfect of course and Aleda has less pleasant traits too. Her thoughtlessness, slow ability to warm up to strangers, and her risk-taking nature pose plenty of problems even at the best of times.

Fortunately her helping hand is usually there to soften the blows.

Appearance:

Cinnamon colored hair neatly coiffured into twin braids to reveal a fine, cheerful face. The light highlights her subtle red undertones of her hair. Woeful blue eyes, set graciously within their sockets, watch meticulously over those she's come to love. Smooth clear skin delightfully compliments her mouth and leaves a pleasurable memory. Slender fingers, covered with healed over calluses. She stands tiny among others with her slim frame.

Aleda wears a traditional dress for her country, paired with a long sleeve white blouse. Most often accompanied by furred coats commonly made of bear's hide. Her hair and clothes are adorned with feathers found by those she holds dear.




History:


Aleda is Latin name meaning small and winged. Hence her community calls her "Small Wings".

Born in the land of Chau, where summers are chill and winters freezing.

She was born with loving parents and two older siblings. A brother named Caligula; "Little Boot". And a sister named Luna; "Moon".

She lives in a honey-comb caves. The comunity works as one, and shares as one. Meaning no one person is left to starve. Nor is anyone ever alone for any reason. Privacy is not a thing here.

Aled's small stature made carrying and weilding a spear difficult. She took up the art of fan Blades by an elder "Mama" (Not her real mother) in her comunity.

She grew-up not knowing much about the outside world but that of stories of horrifing experances from those that had once left.

Aleda's community practices non-traditional medicins. They have the best medical prowess by doing things such as mixing and boil venoms, toxins, and other odd ingrediants. Because they do this they have a high-risk job fighting, trapping, and killing dangerous Animals.

To annouce her avaiability of marriage, Aleda was sent out with a group of sutors, to climb a moutain top and pray in the cave of "Maidans Woes" where the man she was to marry would be told to her. At the cave's entrance she notice about ten feet higher was a white stone unlike any others. Wanting to collect it for her community, she touched it and it fused just below her caller-bones.

Instead of finishing the Rite, she was taken back to the community where they tried all ways to remove the stone.They even once tried to cut it out, which is when she noticed her accelerated healing.

Word spread quickly in Chau, and a person from the Jewels came to collect her. Despite her unwillingness, and that of her community, her two parents commanded her to go.




Strengths:

Healing too many people at once will kill her

Though she heals quickly she still feels pain

Gets Heat Stroke easier than others

Weapons:


A bladed Fan that is 2/3 size of her body when opened, bow&arrows, and a ceremonial knife.

This fan is used for close combat and protection from harsh winds.​

Personality:


Calm an laid back, Tsiuri takes life as it comes in blissful melancholy, choosing to simply enjoy her surroundings while dozing off in silence. Because she's lived sheltered by her parents her entire life, she's someone awkward when it comes to social interaction, and is quite quiet; that, combined with the fact that she has very little presence and is more than happy sleeping in the sidelines, and you have the natural loner who doesn't mind being alone: Tsiuri. When it comes to things she's interested in (Herbs, Flowers, Medicine, etc.), she remains silent, but will become interested on the inside.

With pale, porcelain skin Tsiuri is 5'1" and 89lbs with a frame that could be accurately described as "small". Her body is untoned due to her sheltered upbringing, and is without any blemishes of any sort -- as though she had never sustained an injury throughout her 19 years of life. Her hair is long (or, at least compared to her body), and reaches her knees when she's standing up; it's a natural Lavender in color. Her droopy eyes match her hair in color, albeit in a slightly darker hue. She uses this clothing style, albeit fully colored, usually pertaining to a violet color scheme. Unlike some of the more extreme attires of her people, the patterns embroidered onto her clothing are more smooth and laid back, almost calming. She also has a long scarf, but that's mainly used when she's tincturing alchemical potions and/or poisons, as to prevent harmful fumes from entering her body.


History:


Born in Mauve among its many fields of Lavender, Tsiuri was named after the clear skies overhead as her parents traveled in a small group of nomads. Without any set destination, they simply wandered from one place to the next, providing entertainment, art, clothing, and a large number of oddities. Her parents, however, had a very particular task within the group. That is: medicine creation. Using the many flowers and herbs in their surroundings, they had mastered the art of potion and poison making, and sold their creations to outsiders and fellow nomads alike. Tsiuri, beloved by her parents and treated with tender care since the day she was born, followed in their footsteps, and silently experimented on a wide range of materials within their caravan.


One day, Tsiuri decided to venture away from the caravan in order to find a particular herb in the surroundings. When she found it, she also came across a bed of Lavenders, which she took the time to appreciate. Under the warm sun and sounds of nature, she fell asleep within the violet flowers, found a short time later by her worrisome parents with a jewel -- one the same color as her hair -- attached to the nape of her neck.


When she was to be taken by the Jewels for protection, her father gave her a small dagger, which she could use to defend herself in her travels.


Strengths:


- Has the ability to become invisible


- Capable of creating restoratives and poisons of medium grade and below


- Extremely cool-headed


- Mildly intelligent

Weakness:

- The longer she remains invisible, the more tired she becomes. When she falls asleep, she remains sleeping while invisible for ~24 hours. When she wakes up, her invisibility finally wears off.


- Very intolerent to pain due to her sheltered history


- Has a very weak physique due to her sheltered history


- Has no means of defending herself other than single-use items and a single Dagger


- Almost always tired, and prone to yawn

Weapons: A variety of Potions and Poisons. She also has a Dagger with a hollow gem at the end of its hilt. When pressed, the gem's contents run through a hollow point in the hilt and are released onto the blade, making it convenient when her blade needs a fresh coating of poison (not that the dagger has seen any use thus far). The Dagger looks like this:

Wonderful! I like it how you played to the country, yet she's is still her own individual. And, I love the clothes you chose! Very great for hippy nomads! Accepted!
