Fantasy The Twelve Ball

If you really think we need 12 characters, sure.

@DecpetaBOSS

No, they should not be from the same kingdom. And yes, there will be magic. The way it works can be discussed once we have all twelve characters and can figure out things.

Sure! Could make things interesting.

Just to let everyone know, there are four positions left to be filled. Someone in the interest checks thread wanted to join, though, so really we only need three more characters.

Are we planning on starting with the characters' arrival, or do you have something else in mind?

With their arrival most likely. That way we can have them meet, those who we decide are regulars could catch up, all that fun stuff.

Oh, and also, we have two positions left! I'm working on creating another character, so someone else needs to fill that final spot!

I'm almost done with my character sheet!

It should be done within the next hour or two at most.

Hey everyone. Sorry it's taking me so long to write up this character sheet. I thought I was really close to being done, but the character I had in my head started to not make sense with the setting. I'll keep working on trying to figure out how I want to write this character, but if someone else wants to write another character, they should go ahead. I'm really sorry and I feel so bad about this, but I didn't want to submit a character and country if I didn't feel they were compatible with the plot.

It's alright. It's more important that the characters be consistent than that they be churned out quickly. Take your time if you need it. (B

WE HAVE TWELVE CHARACTERS! EXCITEMENT!

So, this is the point at which we figure out plot things and character stuff. For example, looking at the CS sheets, a lot of places seem have mining as their main trade. If there's a lot of people selling stone, metal, and precious gems, then any place relying on the sales of these items is going to be in really hot water, and soon.

It's really like we have three sets of exports; fish, mining (metals/jewelry), and fabrics. Maybe four if we count magical objects. We're missing more varieties of food, I think.

Mictlán relies heavily on imports of all types (except for food) in exchange for enchanted/charmed objects and the training of practitioners.

Ulganbakur is fairly self-sufficient. However its forests are rich in lumber and animals for hunting, making it a target for those seeking the building blocks for making war.

Darn, just when I'd figured out my second character. :P Ah, well.

So what exactly do we need to figure out before starting?

@sgbd you could do a second character for your country, I think.

I think we need more of that, really, since we all have one character for each place and the overview is 1-5 characters.

For me at least, I have three peoples in my country. I'm not the only one with multiple species. Maybe we use that to fill out our parties?

Also, we might want to create some characters specifically for the purpose of getting axed. > :)

For plot things, I was thinking that a group of characters could be trying to split the truce, possibly taking out half of it. So the characters get a day or so in game to set up relationships and tension, then a good half of the remaining days for some murder mystery esque intrigue, then a bit of good old fashioned running, fighting, and not dying.

Also, if anyone drops out, give your character/s to someone else, then we can probably kill them off. Unless the new writer gets attached to them.

Oh, and also, I'm changing my first kingdom's main trades to include some farming, because, if you have plentiful lush forests at your disposal...

That sounds good ^^

Forests aren't farmland though unless they're clear-cut. So if you clear-cut a forest for timber it could be farmland, but you don't want to do that too quickly or you'll either hit the timber demand ceiling or create a demand that will take out the rest of your forests. :/
