Fantasy The True Strength of The Warrior

Adrian cursed under his breath, pulling himself inside the house before whoever was out their could see him. He closed the window, and ducked, blending into the darkness. The voice seemed familiar, but he couldnt place it. shaking his head, he looked around. Someone must be here- he had to find the thief before either of them were spotted.

The thief grabbed a candlestick, slipping it into his pack. There was less loot here than he had originally thought, but loot was loot. The window creaked slightly before closing, causing him to freeze. Someone else was in the building with him.

Isaac knocked on the door more urgently thinking maybe Artorias was messing with his armor "Please open up you guys." he said in a impatient voice.

Artorias stood up with a grunt, slightly tired. He picked up his greatsword and put the chest and leggings on from where Christina took him out of it, ignoring the slightly corroded bits, mainly because the urgency of the knocking. He started to stomp through the house, scanning the dark for anything, weary since that strange wizard.

The thief slowly began sneaking back down the hall- someone was moving downstairs. He crept along, silently rolling past an open door, and finally into the hall. He stood, checking his bag to make sure it was closed, before turning to the window. He was staring straight into a wooden mask.

Adrian grinned under the mask, grabbing the thief by his shirt. He struggled, grabbing the shadow's hand and throwing it aside before he tore down the hall, stripping over himself. Adrian cursed and followed him- he had to make sure no one saw either of them.

The thief froze when he saw the armored figure, staring down at him.He couldn't seem to move a muscle- he had never been caught before. He felt his pursuer bump into him, but there was no movement from behind him.

Adrian stared up at the knight, letting out a string of curses as he skidded to a halt. Without hesitation, he ran in the other direction, back to the window. How did he have the luck of ending up in their home, of all places? At least they couldn't see his face and wouldn't kill him outright... hopefully.

Christina had laid down in her bed again, the sheer flight she had taken yesterday left a taxing effect on her wings, and she wasn't speaking much either, though, the food that descended into her stomach soon fed her like royalty. She had her eyes shut as these events unfolded, her mind was elsewhere, in a blank space of the world that remained untouched by anyone other than her memories and what she wanted to bend them to.

Artorias grunted, slamming the hilt of his greatsword into the thief, planning on dealing with it later, chasing after the fleeing cursing masked man, anger in his eyes with these people who came all the way out here and decided to try and loot a house, thinking that they'd have no reason to come out here except due to possibly rumors of a knight and angel disappearing around here, or maybe they stumbled along in the right direction for a long time, though he personally found that stupid.

Adrian opened the window and tried to jump out, but his foot caught on the frame. He fell to the grass, grunting as he landed on his side. Without hesitation, he stood and began running away from the house, hoping the knight wouldn't follow him.

Artorias stopped at the window, watching the man run away, content that he chased whomever it was away from his house, besides, he needed to try and sit down somewhere to calm down, after nightmares and a surprise and chase through his own home, that's the least he deserved.

Adrian growled. He had never failed a contract before. That thief was still in their, and most likely alive. He wasnt about to let him get away and ruin is impeccable track record. He decided to wait until nightfall to see if the knight let the thief go, or if he would have to sneak in and deal with it himself.

Christina suddenly shot up, her head drenched in sweat as she swung her legs out of bed, looking around frantically for Artorias, "Darling! Where are you!?"

Artorias picked the thief up by the neck, carrying it back to his room, panting slightly, his sword glistens slightly. "Yes dear?"

( no need to reboot, Artorias is back, after about a month of studying, arguing, broken electronics, a birthday, and broken chargers, I AM BACK! )

(He's ALIVE)

(He is indeed back... (:'() WE MISSED YOU!)

( I missed you all as well, but between studying, getting a new stepdad, crushing my tablet beneath me, and busting my charger, and having my birthday, I was rather busy. )

(I See! Well... it's good to have you.)

She immediately shot up, staring at her husband who was carrying the thief by his neck, "Myran's breath! What's going on!?"

Artorias shrugged, "I woke up and heard something, so I looked around and lo and behold, there's this guy in our house." He dropped the thief, resting his sword against the wall. "Honestly, I thought living far from civilization would prevent this."

Artorias yawned, leaning against the wall, doing his best to stand up and stay awake, every few seconds his eyes starting to close before opening quickly.
