Fantasy The True Strength of The Warrior

She followed him down, her blade chinking as it gently swayed in it's sheath. She continued walking as she began to tie her hair up in a bun.

Artorias sighed, taking small practice swings with his greatsword, warming back up to the idea of swinging it around, softly smiling. "Never thought I'd be doing this again..."

"Nor would I... I thought life would have been peaceful... troubling times are indeed here..." She shook her head as the thought of another man with wings bothered her greatly.

She sighed, remembering her blessing to return to life, "Still... you'd think Myran could let us live out your days for awhile."

"Still, couldn't a few years have been thrown in their as well..." She sighed, "I know, I'm being ungrateful, but... it's just so unfair..." She looked at him, "We've risked our lives several times before, I even lost mine... And now... Now a report of a man with wings..."

He sighed, "I know, yet hey, at least we got some time to ourselves dear, guess we can be thankful for that much." He sighed, "And I honestly still doubt he has wings, unless he's a champion,, yet Myran already has a champion..."

She nodded, taking that factual evidence to heart. It soothed her a bit as she reached the open plain, the beautiful grasses and flowers extending for miles in every direction from the base of the mountain, a few streams here and there.

Artorias smiled, looking at the beautiful scenery, "Almost as breathtaking as you are dear~" He chuckled, leaning down and picking a small yellow flower, holding it to her.

She stopped walking, and took in a deep breath of the fresh afternoon air, smiling as she accepted the flower, "Artorias... I love you..." She looked towards the southern castle that was still intact and still miles away, "But we need to hurry. The longer we tarry, the more innocent lives that will be at stake.

She kept walking along the plains, several miles in now as silence had filled their trip, she sighed, "Artorias... It's not that I don't love you or what you do for me... But... We...We can take time off for each other when this is over... now may not be a good time."

She nodded as her feet kept her moving as they passed the massive great wall that had been constructed to separate the north and the south.

Artorias looked at the wall, smiling softly, never having imagined he'd have passed it.

(my answering might be spotty for the next half hour or so.)

She looked at the bleak walls, "Shouldn't there be... soldiers here!?" She began to run down the road, concerned of the dark clouds looming in the south.

An ominous fear crept into her mind as she moved her legs quickly, sprinting down the long road to the kingdom.

She stops, turning to look at him as she remembered his heavy armor, "Right... sorry..." Her eyes darted toward the south, a sweat line breaking down the side of her head. "We need to hurry..."

Artorias caught up, breathing heavily, "I understand dear, yet it might be better if we both arrive instead of leaving us open to Night Raven, sure you might be able to fight him alone, but I'm quite stuck to the ground without any wings." He stood up, starting a little jog, his armor clanking much less, "This pace is a tad bit better for me."

She jogged alongside him, her blade itching to be drawn as she began to feel a dark presence, the closer and closer they got to the massive castle.

Artorias ignored the dark presence, not even seeming to notice it, intent on getting to the bottom of this.

Sekeolath stood still, eyes wide as he felt a presence of good get closer, hand flaring up for a second as the undead around the town all started to freak out, attacking everything around them, sometimes even themselves, losing control over most of the dead, raising the king with a spell and sending the dead king and what's left of the dead under his control towards Christina and Artorias, hoping to stop the rival champion before she got any closer, knowing it'd be in vain.

She came upon the outer wall of the city as littered blood was everywhere, dead animals and a horrid stench roamed in the air. A burning sensation quickly filled her stomach as she grew ill of the place, knowing it was bad just looking at.
