Fantasy The Translucent Rose

(@The Doorman @Beowulf)

Suddenly, Aster Fairy ran out of energy, the wings shattering and the aura dissipating. As he fell back to the ground, still fast asleep, he dreamt he was falling... Endlessly falling...

Karin saw the strange creature begin to fall to the ground and, acting osurely on instinct, ran towards it in an attempt to catch it and save it from its impending doom. Unfortunately, one lucky goblin remained... One, sneering goblin that had survived the mass of destruction around it. This goblin seemed stronger than the others, and, although it could not see her, it could hear her. Knowing that she was pushing herself, she drew another card from her deck, despite several others still being in play, praying that it would be something useful, because, if it wasn't, it would mean the end of two lives, more than likely...

He saw the, at this point, thing drop from the air. He could study it, see what it was. So, he to rushed towards the falling creature, hopping great distances with the assistance of his wings. He saw another Rose running in the same direction he was, and a pack of hounds that some how avoided the devistation. Grabbing one of the few grenades left, he chucks it at the pack, and hits more then he bargained for. Out of no where, green blood spurted onto the ground. It seemed like he had found that invisible creature, and killed it.

(0_o you killed that invisible creature pretty easily... Perhaps too easily...)

Aster continued to fall to the ground, and now he was dreaming of marshmallows. More specifically, he was dreaming of falling onto a giant marshmallow. However, if he was conscious, he would have known that it was good hard dirt he was falling onto, and that no-one would make it in time to save him.

Karin threw the card at the goblin, and instantly felt the drain in her energy. She swayed, black dots covering her vision as the goblin was torn in half by her last card. Then she simply fell, losing consciousness as she slid several feet on her face along the ground...

(who will you save now?)
@Beowulf

(When did I say I killed it?)

He saw the Rose fall, and figured it wouldn't hurt her to bad. But that drop wouldn't certainly do a number on the subject. When he was coose enogu, he dove for the falling figure, and only just managed to not cause the both of them to fall to their deaths.

(he is not a rose.)

(also, there's not much I really want to do at this point in the scene. Maybe I'll just stuck to some good old flashbacks. Maybe. It would be good is some more thibugs happened, though, because neither of my characters will be able to move for a while. Maybe @The Doorman has something... If not, I'll have to stick to some development anyway. I don't mind too much... :) )

Senira had picked up some kind of ruckus a distance off, and she turned, her curiosity getting the best of her as she followed the sounds. She peeked around the corner to see more than she expected to. There was a dragon, and a lazer beam raced past her, making her stumbled back. A male caught someone, saving him from falling.

The chaos had her confused. What was going on?

(I hope this information is correct. xD )

(That is very similar to what happaned actually, a lot of confusion.)

Pulling another home made grenade, he chucks it into a crowd hoping to scatter it. "I need some help here!" he shouted as he picked up the man and began to drag him to a place that was relatively safe.

(It's because that's how I feel about all the action. xD )

Senira heard a call for help, and she turned to a male dragging a person to safety. She ran over to him, trying not to trip over herself. "W-What can I do?" she asked, still intimidated by all the noise.

"There is a Rose down over there, passed out from exahotion (sp) is my guess. If you can get her over to me, I got somethig that'll wake her up. Keep your eyes open for anything strange, the invisible man is about." He said as he continued to drag the body. When did he suddenly take charge, that wasn't usually like him.

Aster was dreaming again, but this time it was completely irrelevant and had nothing to do with his past or anything, an dmosflu consisted of blood. Lots and lots of blood. So, I won't waste your time with that.

Karin, on the other hand, was drteaming of the the night her father died.

"Be careful how you use them," the old woman who had sold her the cards said mysteriously, "it could mean the difference between llife and death."

"O-okay..." Karin said cautiously, not sure what she meant, "Thank you." and she left, quickly forgetting the enigmatic words.

As she walked on home, she lost herself UN thoughts of what she would do with the cards. For all her plans to buy them, she hadn't really thouGHT past that point. Would she simply practice in secret, until she could be independent? She simply didn't know.

Suddenly, a loud crash broke her out of her reverie. Startled, she looked up at the noise, and saw an image that would haunt her for the rest of her life.

A massive monster had stabbed one massive, scythe-like arm through hDr house, impaling her father. The house lay in partial ruin, parts of it smashed off and broken by the monsters immense power.

"No!" she screamed, tears streaming down her face. "No! No! No!!"
