Varxas is the elderly emperor of the oldest nation on Azae, The T'Odis Empire. His rule is mostly remembered for relaxing the enforcement of the strict laws in the "Lawful Lands" of T'Odis, the controversial decision to end orphan conscription into the "T'Odis Justice Hordes", and the "T'Odis-Parshum Peace Treaty". All of Varxas' sons were killed in the "T'Odis-Parshum War" as well as Calar Dhumibol Uduliadej's two eldest sons. This allowed the two men to put aside their people's differences and sit down to end the lengthy war. Unlike many in his nation, Varxas is not a follower of his empire's religion, The Devotion to the White. He lost his faith when he lost his sons and now takes pride in his heir and great-grandson, Varxas T'Odis II. The supercentenarian ruler's health has declined in recent weeks and many within the nation believe that these are his final days.

Varxas II is a solemn man, with only those closest to him being able to steal a glimpse through his austere shell. The largest crack in these fortifications of his, and simultaneously his greatest strength, is his wife, Boonsri Uduliadej, youngest daughter to Calar Dhumibol. Despite the arranged nature of their unity, Varxas adores Boonsri and the peace that their marriage symbolizes. No relationship comes without it's issues however. The nearly overwhelming dichotomy of their cultures and temperament have at times threatened to form a chasm between them and the serenity that they ensure. Boonsri is a free spirited woman, enjoying long walks in solitude and conversations with commoners, and detesting the accompaniment of body guards. Varxas just wants to keep his beloved safe.
As the son of Byorn T'Odis, one of the empire's most gifted warriors, leaders, tacticians, and a hero of the Parsumian War that perished at the battle of The North Mountains, Varxas was given all the tools to protect his loved ones, and the lands he's willing to die for. As a General's kin, Varxas has been trained by numerous lieutenants, swordsmen and Justice Horde Captains, sculpting him into one of the better swordsmen in Zeldwa. He is, however, just as cerebral as he is deadly. A cunning strategist and renowned scholar, Varxas can speak any tongue of the continent, and possesses a near encyclopedic knowledge of its history and battles.
Because of his pragmatic disposition, Varxas renounces the religions of the realm, preferring to marvel at the works and ingenuity of man. Varxas II is the future of T'Odis, and as heir to the throne, perhaps the empire's most valued treasure. A beloved and noble man, Varxas plans to make the law lands all encompassing, and restoring T'Odis to the superpower it was in it's formal glory.
