The survivors

Giko sighed and reached for the bucket moving it closer to her "that better?" Giko asked as he leaned back up and his face showed sign of pain but he attempted to hide it.

Carefully, she brought the bucket closer to her foot and tipped it to the side slightly so some water would poor onto her feet. Instantly her face was full of clear pain, but she bit her tongue. Only a hiss escaped. She did this a few more times, each one looking like she was literally forcing herself to do it more and more. After about five tips, the pain was numbing more, so she added smaller servings of water. The bucket was a little under half way empty when she was done and looked back over at the other elemental.

She had seen pain on his face, but decided to ask soon, to catch him off guard. It usually made it easier to spot lying when they were caught completely off guard.

"So you okay now, whats your name if you don't mine me asking?" Giko asked I mean they were the only two survivors of the village well that they knew of but yet they didn't even seem to know each other which in his opinion should be changed.

"Aviva." She replied. She was a little surprised he didn't recognize her as one of the chief's daughters, but she usually wasn't in public or talked about much.. So she guessed it made sense, but maybe once hearing her name he would know. Honestly though, she didn't care if he knew or not.

"Ah i should have guessed the chief's daughter right" Giko said. "I'm Giko although with you being the chief's daughter you properly already knew that" Giko soon added.

The fire elemental decided that it would relight the fire the air elemental put out.

"Mhm." She nodded meekly. "I might have heard the name once or twice...I don't get out much..." Aviva added, the last part a litter quieter.

She glanced at the relit fire.

Giko stuck out a hand for her to hold to help her balance. "I was wondering why i didn't notice you at first but anyway come on lets get near the fire its getting cold" Giko said as the cold was one thing he hated even thought he could just set something on fire he didn't feel like it.

Hesitantly, the timid air elemental took his hand and limped closer to the fire. because of her thin, white clothing, she probably had goose bumps up and down her arms. A small shiver went down her spine as well as she sat down near the fire.

Giko walked with her to the fire and when she sat down he sat down at the other side of the fire from her and he throw Aviva his jacket. "your clothing seems more cold than mine so i think you need that more than me." Giko said with a smile on his face. "So whats your plan you wont be moving anytime soon I mean and I doubt going back to the village will be much help so whats left?" Giko asked.

She held the jacket, and looked over at him uncertainly. Slowly she put it over her shoulders comfortably and it helped keep her warm.

"My plan? I--" She hadn't really ever thought about a plan. It had just been escape, but as long as she was alive, she needed a plan.

"I have no idea." She shrugged.

"Well neither do I but if we stick together you have a personal cooker" Giko said making a joke about his elemental

"I am not A COOKER thank you very much" The fire elemental replied obviously angry at the remark

Aviva was the type of person that found rarely anything funny, so she didn't even grin at his remark. She did look at him oddly when he gave a much angrier retort...to himself though.

Giko rubbed the back of his head "Yeah if I seem to go crazy sometimes its the fire element not me i guess its different with yours" Giko said awkwardly.

"Hmm maybe but I think you will since I already saw you use the element air it may have just not awakened yet and if its like mine you should hope it doesn't" Giko said with a smile on his face 'who knows maybe I'm just a odd ball' he thought to himself .

She nodded silently in reply, switching her gaze back to the dancing and crackling flames of the fire. It was probably around midnight now and Aviva yawned, though covered her open mouth with a hand.

"Tired well it has been a long day how about you hit the hay and ill keep watch for a bit sound good?" Giko said as he noticed her yawning 'she needs some sleep' he thought to himself.

She nodded meekly, a little uncertain about letting him take first watch. She wanted to help as well, so she was hoping he'd wake her up later on.

Aviva slowly got comfortable on her side, back facing the fire and Giko. She had used his jacket, hoping he wouldn't mind. She mentally promised to give it back when she woke up.

After a while she fell asleep.

((OOC hope you don't mind the time-skip))

Nothing much happened for a few hours except Giko almost falling asleep every few moments. Well it was either that or he was passing out from pain. He really didn't want to as she looked peaceful when she slept but he would have too so he gave her a nudge to try and wake her up.

Aviva's eyes fluttered open and she looked up at Giko. Slowly she rose, handing him his jacket back. It wasn't very dirty. She sat closer to the fire, trying to wake up better so she could keep watch the rest of the night.

Giko took his jacket back and made the fire slightly intenser to keep it going for the rest of the night before he laid down and took one last look around just in case before he quickly fell asleep.

Aviva hugged her knees to her chest, and just gazed into the fire calmly. The rest of the night went by without any threats, and at dawn Aviva tried standing up. Her feet still throbbed a little, so she tried walking. Ouch, she hissed softly in pain. Eventually she just sat down again with a frown.

Giko woke up just at the time Aviva stood up and tried to walk but it ended with her being in pain "You shouldn't try and walk yet, burns take a while to heal" Giko said as he sat up making a face of pain again clutching the left side of his ribs.

"What's wrong with your side?" She asked, instead of saying something like 'ok'.

"Ah I got in a fight during the attack with my farth" Giko said before abruptly stopping 'That's not a smart idea to say' he thought to himself. "Erm I got into a fight during the attack and it injured me." Giko said soon after.
