"I know where we aaaaare, we are at the beach, like I said" Constantine explained, his head poking up over the water. he got out and shook himself like a dog as he walked over to the two he had brought along "Why are you saaad? We are at the beach, beaches are fun. Look what I can do!" The mad wizard said dropping to his knees as he begins building a sandcastle.

The Palsiet smiled as Lena mentioned Lila "She is a strong being, though she doesn't know it yet. Much untapped potential that will shine through in her future" The Palsiets smile faded as Bel emerged from the forrest asking where they are. "You will not like this but it seems my dear friend Constantine has died recently, hence his rather insane behavior. He has taken this Bard character and the Yuan-Ti to what he considers a beach, though this is an oasis in a desert, his portals are impossible to track. I ask you to remain patient as Lila is quite persuasive and she will reach through to him and get him to return them...When they return I can bring back Constantine's sanity and he may be able to bring back our dear feathered friend" he explained, taking short breaths as his body still ached and was rather weak.

This was a strange turn of events. Lila had actually left with that Bard.


'Ok. This is ok. No need to go into a rampage over something you cant can't affect. Worry about what you can.'


Belisair took several steps closer to Kyngerz and kneeled before him, taking the time to look hos newly healed injuries over.


"So all healing magic IS just as old as I thought. How did you come upon these injuries Kyngerz? Where is your armor and weapons?"


Belisair frowned, it was as if he was forgetting something important.


((Time to plant the seeds.))

Lila gripped handfuls of sand in both hands, and stood. A bit of sand was trailing from her hands, tears were trailing from her eyes, but she had reached her limit. She had asked nicely, and the man had practically ignored her, Schmendrick was somewhat trying to help, but Lila didn't even look at him. She didn't care if she got punished for this, she would make someone listen to her. She had things to do and friends to watch over...That's right..Belisair and Kyngerz were her friends, not her masters. Friends.


Her body still trembled with the force of all the emotions swirling around inside of her, and as Constantine began to play in the sad, Lila stalked right over to him. ".....I......I DEMAND that you take me back at once!" She stomped a foot, and flung both handfuls of sand at Constantine's face. "...I will not be ignored when I have something very important to do. I have to go back. You must take me back to my friends!" Lila had yelled all of this, as loud as she could, which was not as loud as most people, but for the soft voiced Yuan-ti it was a bit loud. Something bad would happen, she just knew it. They would punish her for this, but right now she did not care in the least. Something inside Lila had snapped, her fear had subsided and she was only seething and frustrated now.


Those gentle green eyes of hers were narrowed into a glare. Her heart beat fast in her chest, adrenaline rushed through her system. Lila did not like being like this, so demanding, so loud, but it was probably the only way to get anyone to listen to her. She also didn't like throwing sand in people's faces, and when she got back, she planned on giving Belisair a nice scolding as well. How dare he leave her alone with these incompetent casters! Under normal circumstances such antics Constantine had pulled might have been fun. Right now though was not the proper time for acting like a fool.

Flint, perched on an oak tree which grew from out of the cliff side, surveyed his newly created world. He turned his head down to see the wizard's hom underneath him. The old wizard, his cat, one-eyed Alpha and the animal's Flint had freed were playing a friendly game of tag. Lifting his head upwards, the wizard smiled up at the bird. The crow waved to him, laughing at their little game. The house cat and the wolf wrestled with each other on the soft field, licking the other ones face in merriment.


"Flint dear!" called out a voice from the beautiful castle. "Breakfast is ready."


Flint turned around behind him and said, "Coming Belisair!"


The crow flapped his strong wings and flew to his castle. Before entering, he whipped his talons on the welcome mat and stepped inside. Flint dashed into the kitchen to see his best friend Belisair, dressed in a yellow apron, setting up the table. Kyngerz was already seated busily writing in his notebook. The Slyph playfully tapped the rugged Palsiet's shoulder with a spatula.


"Now, now Kyngerz." scolded Belisair. "No reading during breakfast! Flint, could you be soon kind and wake up Lila and Lena. Those lazy girls are still asleep."


Flint obediently walked up stairs and tapped on the door.


"Lila! Lena! Breakfast is ready!"


There was no answer. Frowning, the bird opened the bedroom door and leaped on the beds. He jumped on their heads, prodding his claws into there hair.


"Ow! We're up," the girls said, giggling in pain.


"You better come down or they'll be no food left for you!" the crow left the room as Lena and Lila dressed themselves.


Returning to the dinning table, Flint saw Rex, now seated, dozing off and slipping from his chair.


"Uncle Rex!" the bird laughed as he pushed him onto the chair. "You're back from adventuring? I thought you weren't coming home until next month?"


Rex sluggishly said, "I couldn't miss eating breakfast with my favorite bird, now could I? Besides, you are more important than any silly adventure."


"You're so funny Rex," Flint said as he picked up a piece of dead skin that had fallen off of Rex's face.


Lina and Lena descended from the staircase clothed in splendid summer dresses.


"Ta-da!" they chimed out as if modeling.


"Well it's about time you two 'lazies' got up," Belisair said to the two. "Alright you two clowns, sit down. The food is finished."


The Slyph carried a platter of grilled insects and clovers to the table. He placed the tray down as everyone took their seats.


"I would like to purpose a toast," Kyngerz said lifting up a glass of wine. "To Flint! May you always be with us, for all eternity."


Flint's face flushed red as he said, "I love you all, so very much!"

Lena's lips shivered a little, as suddenly she heard voices in her head. They seemed to be Belisair's and..... Flint's


"....ke up... ....inally the time" They chimed, as she started to walk backwards, starting to feel her conciousness drift away.


"...Flint....with us....all eternity" She mumbled under her nose, before collapsing, her conciousness leaving her completely

Constantine spat the sand that landed in his mouth onto the ground, looking rather sad that his day at the beach was now ruined "Fine, silly snake girl doesn't like my fun times at the beach then we will go back to the jungle" he stood up and opened a portal stepping through it without another word.

Lila would feel horrible about throwing sand in Constantine's face later, right now she was still filled with determination to do what needed to be done, and that anger at being taken so suddenly to a strange place she had never asked to go to. Perhaps later they could come back and enjoy the beach, once all the important things had been settled.


A portal opened and Lila followed Constantine through it. Moment's later she was stepping back into the forest, near Kyngerz. He was alive! Lila nearly bounced over to him, nearly, but those tear filled eyes landed on Belisair and her heart skipped a beat. A pain filled her chest, and she suddenly just wanted to run away from the Sylph. She had planned to scold him and talk at him until he would listen, but Lila couldn't bring herself to approach him. Afraid he would just turn her away again.


Her jaw clenched a bit, and she did ignore Belisair, giving him a look that was a mix of disappointment and fear, as she moved to Kyngerz side and knelt next to him. Hesitantly and gently, she put her arms around him and hugged him sweetly. Her voice was a tiny whisper. "I...I'm so glad you're okay....Please don't let Lord Belisair make me stay with strange people again. I didn't want to go to the b-beach...and I didn't mean to throw sand in Lord Constantine's face but it was the only way to get him to bring me back! Please don't be angry, please tell Lord Belisair to not be angry too!" Her arms had tightened around Kyngerz a bit out of fear and worry. Still there was relief in the girl, she was very glad that Kyngerz was alright.


She still refused to actually look at Belisair short of giving him that mixed look moments before she hugged the Palsiet. Momentarily, Lila found herself wondering if Flint would've liked the beach.

Watching from a safe distance, Schmendrick starred on in horror as Lila threw a fistful of sand in Constantine's face. If there was anything Schmendrick had learned from his travels it was that throwing sand at the mentally unstable never ended well. No matter how tempting it may be at times, NEVER THROW SAND AND THE MENTALLY ILL! Either way it was to late for that. The sand had already flown at it seemed to have struck home. There were a couple seconds of silence and then a pouty looking Constantine gave in to Lila's demands. Looks like things hadn't gone as poorly as Schmendrick would have initially guessed. The magician gave Lila a thumbs up and a warm smile before jumping into the portal.


After being hurled through space Schmendrick landed on his feet (sort of) in the forest. Schmendrick took a quick look around and noticed the tall stranger was no longer unconscious. He also saw that Belisair was back as well. "Belisair! You beautifully haired bastard! How are you?" Schmendrick pulled the Sylph into a hug as if they were old friends. He quickly came out of the hug, transferring his hands to Belisair's shoulders. "Tell me, have you changed your mind about letting me inside your head?" Schmendrick didn't even give Belisair a chance to answer before he pushed the Sylph to the side and walked over to Kyngerz with a look of awe painted plainly on his face. Noticing that Impanstein was still cudgeling Kyngerz, Schmendrick snapped his fingers and the small demon dissipated. "Are you a...Palsiet? Oh who am I kidding of course you are!" Schmendrick begins to circle Kyngerz taking note about the immortal in front of him. "You wouldn't mind me sampling a little bit of your blood would you? It seems to be spilling out of you right now and... Well it would be such a waste." Schmendrick looks up to Kyngerz like a child would look up to a mall Santa.

Hello?! Is anyone there?!"

Catching Lena with a breeze and laying her down as she fainted. @JJKab


Watching awesteuck ad Lila followed a sandu Constantine thrpugh a portal and ignore him. @Kry


Attempting, just half a second too late, to decapitate the Bard as he was hugged and just BARELY missing. 'One day, one day...' @Throne Trinity


Staring at Kyngerz as he speaks the same nonsense thst Lila did, while citing someone called Zephyr. @KingsPlague


And blasting Dricky back with a hard wall of wind.


"You will not touch him, Bard. I have been lenient, but if you continue to overstep your bounds, I will discipline you."


Then it hit him.


"Kyngerz... Are you saying that you are the reason the sylphs were forced to flee this world?"

Constantine grinned as he saw his old friend, runoting to hug him with open arms, the Palsiet responded quickly with a suckerpunch to the face, sending the wizard flying onto the floor unconscious.


Kyngerz rubbed his knuckles and glared at the Bard "I am a being made by Gods, you shall not defile them by experimenting with my blood, also it doesn't work." He looked at Belisair, his eyes filled with grief "Aye, in a way one could Say I am responsible for the extinction of your kind as I could not banish Fer^Thunk fast enough. I am deeply sorry." He then lifted his arms and hugged Lila back, pressing her close to him "We are not upset child, you seem to have handled the situation rather well, Constantine will apologise for his actions soon, and once he awakens he should be normal...or less insane at least, he was never truly normal" the Palsiet explained letting her go.

Schmendrick looked around the group, everyone seemed to be glaring daggers at him. The magician frowned. It appeared people around these parts weren't taking to kindly to his mannerisms or his magical exploits. With a frown on his face, the magician wanders away from the group and sits down by himself. He grabs for his loot and begins to strum a sad tune while humming. Freud then joins in and harmonizes his whistling with Schmendrick's humming. Blue spectral fire appears around the magician as he plays, the wisps of flame dancing with the music. After a few seconds of playing the wisp like flames began to shape themselves into piano keys and play themselves. The sound is haunting, setting an impressive ambiance to the whole scene.

"Let me introduce myself first. I am, what they call, a wondering spirit. An animal spirit who inhabits a beast, so I may freely roam the earth and hinder any spirit who seeks to harm my little ones. The last body I was housed in was the crow called Flint. As you know, the bird is quite... stubborn. The wizard who experimented on him was, in the mildest sense, cruel! This caused the crow to resent humans and anything resembling them. Being with him during these troubling years, I even had a few hateful opinions about humans. But I relinquished these baser emotions and taught Flint to make friends with the Slyph named Belisair. After that Kyngerz. And then everyone else in your group. Unfortunately, the bird killed a wolf's offspring which made that poor one-eyed creature hunt and end the crow's life. *Sigh* If only your party had managed to reach Saza-hallah Temple before that. I could have finally managed to release myself from the hindrances of an animal's body and be once again free to bring order for all animals. All I can hope for now is to enter a new host that is at least remotely near this land. However, my luck has been horrendous of late. I may be taken all the way back to the other side of the globe and I hate Ventarri; it's hot as hell.


"Anyway, as for Flint's body, I sense that the ass named Zephyr took it away from the earth. Your only hope in retrieving it is to make Belisair plead with that idiot Zephyr. After that take the corpse to the temple. There, among the countless artifacts, you will find the Egg of Regeneration. Use your healing magic on Flint's crippled body and I will do the rest. If you find this too difficult, you can always just find someone to with portal magic to send you to Purgatory and tell Flint to admit he is dead. Either way, you are going to have to talk to that stubborn bird. After you do this, I will be able to pass on to a random host somewhere in the hellhole known as Ventarri. Damn that place! What is your decision sweet little elf?"

Lena's body, meanwhile, started taking rapid breaths, signalising that she's going to wake up soon. Among her rapid breathing, shallow talking was heard


"....Flint......Be-Belisair.......Saz-...ah T---emple....."

"Flint, listen to your friends. Accept reality, with all of its good and its bad. It's the only way to truly be free... Please! Every beast on earth is depending on you to realize this fact. Lena! Help us! For the love of the gods, help us!"

After a while, Lena slowly opened her eyes, moaning lightly. She slowly looked around, holding the back of her head.


"where am I...." She mumbled to herself, slowly sitting up


"B-Belisair...?" Lena called out lightly, looking around for him, in fact, for anyone who could listen to her

The ghost... vision, whatever it was... told me... No, wait, it was called wandering spirit... He was sitting inside Flint's body, controlling him.... protecting him.... After Flint died, he didn't accept his fate, and created a world where... we're alright... if the spirit doesn't find a way into another animal... we're going to have a bad time" Lena exclaimed, looking a bit weakly at Belisair.

Belisair smiled and petted her hair softly.


"I don't quite understand everything you said, and I'm sure that I won't like it once I do, but if you say we need to get to the Temple quickly, that I can understand. I can even get us there in a few hours with the right help."


He turned to Kyngerz and Lila.


"Lila stop holding onto Kyngerz like he's your spine and come tend to Lena while I make preparations to get us all to the temple." He tone wasn't harsh, but it was clear that he was still unhappy with the Yuan-ti. @Kry


As he stood to walk past the duo, he saw thw Palsiets armor and weapons just beyond the treeline and fetched them. He laid them in a neat set of pile before Kyngerz.


"I have enough space for all this in my pockets if you don't feel up to donning it just yet." He smiled and strode over to the meddlesome bard before Kyngerz could answer. @KingsPlague


"Schmendrick (yes I know your name), I know you have a spell for flight. How well van you cast it, and how long can you maintain it? That is, assuming you cast it using that lute just like all of your other spells."


'He's a disappointment to be around but hopefully he wont fail in this.'


Belisair truly dispised such blatant disregard for the personal space of others and obvious lying. Unfortunately for him, this Bard had both traits in Spades. @Throne Trinity

Lena sighed weakly, as she was gently petted by Belisair. Didn't he understand, Flint was dead. They needed his body, whom was taken by Zephyr. From the spirit's talk, she understood that Belisair was the one.She had to explain this to him again, but he left her, calling Lila in.


Lena's face was pale from the sudden loss of conciousness, as her eyes were glossy, looking around. Her whole body was lightly trembling from this situation.

Schmendrick, who was still playing his ghostly song suddenly stopped playing. The fire around him dissipated and the magician opened one eye to look at the Sylph. His frown turned into a small grin. Schmendrick jumps to his feet, which causes Freud to let out a startled shriek, and dust himself off. Except instead of dust falling from his coat several sparkles flutter to the ground. "Well my dear Belisair, I'd say I can make everyone here fly with ease and as long as I'm playing my lute you all will be soaring through the air with ease." He holds up his lute and gives Belisair a wink. "You just tell me when my liege." @Delacare
